Here Are The Best Music Looks Of The 2023 Met Gala
The 2023 Met Gala red carpet is underway, and as usual, the annual event’s guestlist boasts a who’s-who of the music world. Recording artists who’ve attended in the past include Billie Eilish, who joked last year that her favorite part of attending is “judging” everyone’s looks, Cardi B, who often steals the show, even when she isn’t even trying to, Phoebe Bridger, whose 2022 look dropped jaws, even if it wasn’t what fans thought, Nicki Minaj, and Lizzo, who played a one-of-a-kind, $55,000 flute on the red carpet.
This year’s theme is intended to honor the late Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2019 at the age of 85. Lagerfeld was a vaunted — and controversial — figure in the fashion world, known for guiding the creative directions of fashion houses like Chanel and Fendi and for wearing the kind of collars that would make Joe Pesci’s character in Goodfellas jealous. With fans already looking forward to seeing how their favorite stars choose to interpret the theme and reflecting back on prior looks running the gamut of everything from camp to religious irreverence, excitement on social media is high.
You can follow along with on Vogue‘s live stream and check out the best music looks, which we’ll be highlighting, here.
Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Twitter Celebrates 25th Anniversary Of ‘He Got Game’
If you have Twitter, then you know that there’s an anniversary to be celebrated every day. In a world full of nostalgia, sometimes the bird app delivers on hitting all the right notes. Sometimes an anniversary will appear for a film or television show that I forgot existed. Thankfully for the app, I’m reminded of the necessary realization that my body is aging at a frightening pace. However, for just a split second, I can recall the first viewing of whatever movie or TV show is being celebrated.
Today, the app reminded us that May 1st is the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest sports movies created. ‘He Got Game’ is now old enough to start looking for other health insurance. Instead of staying with its parents for another year. The film stars titan of the film industry, Denzel Washington. As well as NBA legend Ray Allen. Who plays a young Jesus Shuttlesworth hoping to make his professional basketball dreams come true. Check out some of the best tweets from the anniversary celebration.
Twitter Relives ‘He Got Game’
The Spike Lee film follows Allen’s character during one of the biggest decisions of his life. Shuttlesworth (Allen) is choosing which college he will attend to further his basketball career. However, along the way, Washington’s character (Shuttlesworth’s father) is tasked with recruiting his son to a certain school. But the recruiting services of Washington’s character mean more than just getting his son to play for a certain school.
The movie has become a cultural icon and one of the greatest sports movies of all time. Washington delivers in the only way he knows how. While Allen does a great job for an actor whose day job is to put baskets in the hoop. Thank you, Twitter, for the reminder of this film and everything that comes along with it. But now it is time for the biggest question. Where do you rank this film among sports movies? What is your favorite sports movie? Give us your answers in the comment section. Method Man Shows Love To GloRilla
While Method Man isn’t super tuned in to what’s hot in hip-hop music right now, he did reveal one artist that’s always playing in his household. Moreover, HipHopDX caught up with the Wu-Tang Clan legend while on the red carpet for the 2023 Grammy Awards. In a newly surfaced clip from the publication, Jeremy Hecht asked Mef what new artist he was listening to at the time, and his answer might surprise some fans. Furthermore, he expressed that he doesn’t listen to too many new things in hip-hop these days, especially as he became successful in other entertainment areas. However, he gave a big shoutout to Memphis’ own GloRilla, who he says is in heavy rotation in his home.
“I don’t really listen to much [of] today’s music,” Method Man replied to Hecht’s question. “But right now, who’s relevant in my household? Who they playing in my house? Glo.” In addition, he revealed that GloRilla apparently didn’t know who he was when they met. Still, she remained graceful, respectful, and kind during their interaction, which the Long Island legend appreciated. “That speaks volumes to her character. Love her.”
Method Man Shouts Out GloRilla At The Grammys
Of course, the Grammys red carpet also had other rap legends speak on the “Tomorrow 2” star, most notably Grandmaster Flash. HipHopDX actually got his very first reaction to her smash hit “F.N.F.,” as the Furious Five legend admitted that his children tried to get him to listen to her. As he heard the song, he bobbed his head along and took note of her blunt, boastful lyrics. “Okay GloRilla! This s**t sounds like fun too,” he said of the track. “She’s talking s**t and she’s having fun which is what Hip Hop should be. Word up! Okay, my kids… They were right.”
Meanwhile, all three artists formed part of the grand tribute to hip-hop at the awards ceremony, which celebrated the genre’s 50th anniversary. These remarks actually fit quite well within that context, as generations come together to celebrate each other’s greatness and importance in the game. After a lot of discussion in the 2010s decade about the old guard against the new, it’s great to see them in a more respectful and appreciative space. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Method Man and GloRilla.

Cher Postpones AE Edwards Wedding, Blames 40-Year Age Gap: Report
The world was shocked when Cher introduced her new lover, AE Edwards, to fans online last year. Few are surprised to hear that the 76-year-old has now reportedly “postponed” her upcoming wedding to the music producer. Along with followers, her family continues to express concern about their unusual union. Not only does he share a child with Amber Rose, but Edwards is also 40 years the iconic singer’s junior. This is apparently beginning to raise some red flags for her.
As RadarOnline reports, those closest to the fashionista are under the impression that her younger man is hoping to inherit her $380M fortune. They’ve also expressed concern about Edwards’ potential attempts to further his own career using Cher’s name and legacy. “For a while, [she] followed this guy around like a lovesick puppy, but the blinders seem to be coming off,” an insider dished to the outlet today (May 1). “Cher’s starting to see Alexander in a different light,” they noted. This suggests that the couple’s honeymoon phase has clearly come to a screeching halt.
Cher Senses Trouble in Paradise
It’s important to note that she hasn’t broken up with the father of one, but is definitely “pumping the breaks.” As her 77th birthday approaches later this month, she was spotted out and about in Los Angeles sans her massive diamond ring, which is what first caused concern. When Edwards first proposed in late 2022, Cher proudly showed her huge rock off. However, rumour has it that she may have bought the engagement ring herself – and that she’s been spending plenty of her money spoiling AE too.
“Cher has always been so careful about her money, but she was throwing it at this guy and funding his over-the-top lifestyle!” RadarOnline‘s source alleged. The Armenian starlet has hinted at working on music together with AE Edwards, but now is reportedly “annoyed with his suspicious behaviour, and his bossy attitude at the recording studio.” His other major flaws are “always inviting friends over for parties,” as well as “going missing without answering his phone.” At this time, Cher is under the impression that their decades-spanning age difference will make a long-lasting marriage impossible. Are you surprised that the controversial couple is allegedly having trouble? Let us know in the comments, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

Joakim Noah Launches Basketball League With Great Intentions
During his time with the Chicago Bulls, Joakim Noah became a fan favorite. The former Bulls big man wasn’t afraid to express himself on the court. Noah became a staple piece of the franchise during the Derrick Rose era. The former Florida Gators star spent the first nine years of his thirteen-year career in Chicago. So it goes without saying that Noah has a large soft spot for the city. However, now Noah wants to give back to the city that gave him so much for so many years.
On Monday, Noah sat down with NBA insider Shams Charania to discuss his plans for a basketball league. However, this basketball league isn’t like the one you are picturing right now. But a league that is more than just basketball. The NBA veteran announced the start of the ‘One City Basketball League.’ A league that will create a better opportunity for those seeking a better life. The league will be partnered with over 28 violence prevention groups. Check out the interview with Noah and Charania below.
Joakim Noah Seeking Change In Chicago
The league is hoping to be much bigger than just a place for people to play basketball. The goal is to provide financial incentives for those involved. As well as other off-the-court programs and job opportunities. The league is a fantastic idea for any city, not just Chicago. Violent crimes and violence in general continues to be on the rise in the United States. It is great to see those who have a large voice, like Noah, attempt to make a change within their communities.
The ‘One City Basketball League’ is a fantastic start to building a place for people to take pride in their city. During the interview, Noah mentioned what playing in Chicago means to him. “One of the ways to unify the city is through hoops. Some of my best friends, to this day, are from playing basketball. That’s what we’re trying to do. We’re trying to unify the city.” Kudos to Joakim Noah for attempting to make a positive impact in the United States. Chlöe Is “Feelin Like Diana Ross” In Sultry Bodysuit Strutting Video
24-year-old Chlöe Bailey has previously faced criticism for crafting an image that’s “too sexy” for her fan’s liking. Regardless of what the haters have to say about her journey into womanhood, she continues to post the content that pleases her on social media. Sometimes it’s emotional and vulnerable, and at others, it’s downright salacious. As the final date of her ongoing In Pieces tour approaches, Chlöe treated fans to another video of her in costume. This one films her strutting along to one of the tracks from her debut solo album.
On “Worried,” she confidently sings, “You actin’ funny, funny, is like you love me, love me / You talkin’ big in public, but is you big enough?” As the Metro Boomin and DAVID x ELI-produced title continues, we see Bailey show off her playful side. She smiles for the camera while leaning against the wall and kicking up one of her platform-boot-clad legs. “Feelin’ like Diana Ross,” the Atlanta native wrote in her caption, seemingly referencing the big and beautiful hair she’s been rocking as of late.
Chlöe Bailey Stuns on Instagram…Once Again
As she turns around, viewers also catch glimpses of the “Have Mercy” hitmaker’s famous behind. We’ve seen plenty on her Instagram feed as of late. Following practically every concert she put on last month, Bailey posted something on Instagram to commemorate the show – usually flaunting her hourglass figure in one way or another. Aside from that, she’s also shared behind-the-scenes content like making her own beats and linking up with Missy Elliott backstage.
She took over Sacramento on Sunday (April 30) at Sol Blume, and the R&B diva is set to close things out later this week. Her concluding performance will be on Wednesday (May 3) at The Novo in Los Angeles, marking an impressive run for the rising starlet.
