Lil Yachty Performs “The Black Seminole” & “Drive Me Crazy!” On “SNL”
Lil Yachty took over Saturday Night Live, this weekend, performing two songs off of his new album, Let’s Start Here. For performances of “the BLACK seminole.” and “drive ME crazy!,” Yachty brought out Diana Gordon, who contributes vocals to the studio versions of both songs.
On stage, Yachty was backed by an all-women band in addition to Gordon. Speaking with Zane Lowe of Apple Music 1 in January, he explained his reasoning for going with just ladies. “I just feel like women don’t get as much respect as men when it comes to the music industry,” Yachty said at the time. “So I was like, ‘These songs are pretty badass, and I want to show women playing them.”
Lil Yachty At Rolling Loud
With his latest album, Yachty ventures away from his traditional rap genre and ventures for a sound more heavily influenced by psychedelic rock. Speaking about the decision to go in that direction, Yachty previously said: “I think I created it just because I really wanted to be taken serious as an artist, you know. Not just some SoundCloud rapper, not some mumble rapper. Not some guy that just made one hit. I wanted to be really taken serious because music is, like, everything to me. I respect all walks of music, not just rap and hip-hop, everything. So I think I wanted to make something to show the world just how great it was to me.”
Elsewhere in the episode of Saturday Night Live, Quinta Brunson served as the host. During her opening monologue, the Abbott Elementary star promoted her show by taking a jab at Friends. “It’s a network sitcom like, say, Friends. Except, instead of being about a group of friends, it’s about a group of teachers. Instead of New York, it’s in Philadelphia and instead of not having Black people, it does,” she joked. The show also tackled Donald Trump’s recent indictment, featured an April Fools prank from Michael Che, and much more.

Flo Rida’s Baby’s Mother Claims Rapper Is Not Helping With Son’s Medical Bills After Tragic Fall
Rapper Flo Rida’s baby mother, Alexis Adams says the rapper is not paying his 6-year-old son’s medical bills after the tragic fall from a five-story building.
Their son, Zohar Dillard, sustained some pretty serious injuries after falling out of the New Jersey apartment complex building earlier this month. According to a lawsuit filed by Adams, the minor suffered a shattered pelvis, left metatarsal fractures, Grade 3 liver laceration, internal bleeding and collapsed lungs’ after falling from the 5-story height into the concrete ground. Adama allegedes the building management company, Goldberg Management, as well as Pitch Perfect 74, LLC, and unnamed construction companies for negligence, claiming that they were at fault for the fall “by installing windows that posed a hazardous condition and/or by installing incorrect sized guards on said windows,” and ignoring her repeated requests for the proper window guards.
He was taken to the ICU where he underwent medical treatment.
“As a single mom to a special-needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces,” Adams said in a statement to Insider.
She continued: “I am devastated, angry and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to wilful negligence of our landlord and others involved in failing to take necessary safety measures.”
The suit claims that Zohar ‘has been in great pain and suffering, to his great loss and damage and in the future will suffer great physical and mental pain and suffering’.
Adams is claiming that Flo Rida, real name Tramar Dillard, has not financially helped with health insurance costs which were mandated by a court-ordered child support agreement back in 2018. Adams says this has gone on for years.
Back in January of this year, Adams stated to Insider that Flo Rida had not adequately fulfilled his court-ordered support payments surrounding his son’s education and health insurance.
The rapper was consequently ordered by a Bronx County Family Court to pay Adams $9,000 every month for child support, alongside the total cost of Zohar’s education and health insurance, court filings report.
In response to the tragic fall, the rapper posted a story on Instagram on Wednesday revealing to his 900,000 followers that his son is ‘getting the best medical care and miraculously survived a tragic fall’.
“I ask for your continued prayers as he undergoes rehabilitation,” the father added, before asking his fans to ‘appreciate that this remains [sic] a private matter.’
“I am just so grateful that my son is alive, fighting, and is still here with me. He’s a real-life superhero,” Adams concluded.

Consequence Reflects On Impact Of A Tribe Called Quest
Consequence says that A Tribe Called Quest “revolutionized” the music business. The rapper spoke about the legendary group’s impact during a recent interview with VladTV. The conversation began with Cons praising Tribe’s 1993 album Midnight Marauders. In doing so, he remarked that the group was “in their bag” at the time.
“This is in the midst of the crack epidemic,” he said of the time period, “at the same time that the Central Park Five were picked up. This is a completely different time period. [A Tribe Called Quest] have a collective going on, also, where they creatively vibe with The Jungle Brothers, and they creatively vibe with De La Soul — and, basically, revolutionized the way that street kids approached the music business,” he continued. “Because of success, right? And even to this day, the ramifications of those sacrifices, we’re seeing on Front Street.”
A Tribe Called Quest In New York City
Consequence is far from the only one to appreciate the greatness of A Tribe Called Quest. The Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame recently nominated them for induction as well. The organization will announce the finalists for the class of 2023 next month. Other nominees include Missy Elliott, Iron Maiden, Rage Against The Machine, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, and Willie Nelson. As for previous hip-hop acts to make it into the hall, the organization has recognized Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, N.W.A, 2Pac, Biggie, and JAY-Z, among others.
As for Tribe’s aforementioned album, Midnight Marauders, the iconic project was preceded by the group’s singles, “Electric Relaxation” and “Award Tour.” The album features collaborations with Busta Rhymes, Large Professor, Raphael Wiggins, and more. While it received mostly positive reviews at the time of its release, Midnight Marauders has since been lauded as one of the best hip-hop albums of all time. Rolling Stone ranked it at number 201 on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Caleb Pressley says that Drake has the “most security” he’s ever seen. The Barstool host recently interviewed Drake for an episode of his show, Sundae Conversation. Sitting down with Theo Von for an interview, earlier this week, Pressley explained what it was like arriving at the legendary Toronto rapper’s home.
Pressley began by explaining that he was in Drake’s house for at least 90 minutes before he even laid eyes on the rapper. “His security’s insane. He has the most security. You ever seen security? Imagine more.” Fans in the comments section of a post from RapTV had jokes in response to the claim. One wrote, “You know you made it when somebody wanna know if you answer yo own front door.” Another commented, “You know you made it when you’re security got security.”
Drake & His Son, Adonis
During the interview, Pressley also spoke with Drake’s son, Adonis. When the child admitted he’s not a strong reader, Pressley asked, “Do you think if he did a better job with you at home that you’d be able to read?” Adonis replied, “Yeah.” As for his conversation with Drake, Pressley asked the rapper about betting. In response, Drake affirmed that his most chips are in on parenting. “Fatherhood. I just mean, in an encouraging way, like, ‘You can always bet on fatherhood. For all the people out there, you can always bet on fatherhood.”
On the music side of things, Drake recently premiered an unreleased song on Friday night’s episode of Sound 42’s The Fry Yiy Show on SiriusXM Radio. On the track, he samples Kim Kardashian discussing the idea of getting a divorce from Kanye West. The audio comes from an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2021. Drake is also preparing for a collaborative tour with 21 Savage this summer. The two previously worked together on the 2022 album, Her Loss. Additionally, Drake has hinted at releasing a new album of his own before the end of the year.

Cardi B Checks If Tasha K Paid Her $4 Million Debt To Her
After Tasha K announced that she paid off her $4 million debt, Cardi B had to check her Apple Pay to see if it was true. Moreover, the YouTuber lost a defamation lawsuit brought forth by Cardi and had to pay her that exact amount. At least, Tasha said as such on Saturday (April 1), letting her followers know that she’s apparently debt-free. Of course, it’s not fully guaranteed to relate to the Bronx rapper’s case, but few other things could get you in such a specific debt. “PSA Winos I just paid off my 4 million dollar debt in cash,” she shared with fans on both Twitter and Instagram.
Regardless of whether the statement is actually true (and relates to Cardi B’s case, a couple of media outlets picked up the story. For example, The Neighborhood Talk posted about K’s tweet, which actually caught the attention of the “WAP” superstar. “Mhhhhmmmm,” she replied to the gossip page’s post, adding a thinking-face emoji. “Let me check my Apple Pay.”
Cardi B Is Fact-Checking Her $4 Million Payment
What’s more is that Tasha K already responded with an apology to Cardi B after their lawsuit came to an end. Maybe the 30-year-old isn’t down for more mistakes being made and won’t take those apologies lightly now. As such, she probably checked everywhere she could to se if Tasha was telling the truth. “Damn Winos!” the blogger wrote after losing her appeal in Cardi’s case against her. “We lost the appeal against Cardi B sad day. But I’m gonna be alright. I appreciate all your love [and] support. Throughout this fight. Today we throw in the white flag. What happened will never happen again. To Cardi [and] her team, I apologize sincere. We live and learn.”
Meanwhile, the talented MC has a lot of big projects to look forward to, albeit in unconventional places. Recently, she announced that her and her family will appear in the new Baby Shark movie from Nickelodeon. Even Offset took to Twitter to confirm the big news, and they all seem quite excited to join the cast. For more updates and the latest news on Cardi B, come back to HNHH.
