Friday night, the Universal Hip Hop Museum and Video Music Box brought together prominent Hip Hop heads to celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop fashion.

Everyone from rapper Fat Joe, Vinnie of Naughty By Nature to Stylist Misa Hylton sat front row watching fashions from the designers that dressed our favorite rap stars.

The Universal Hip Hop Museum–which opens in 2024–partnered up with the Video Music Box and the Mayor’s Office of the City of New York to kick-off the 50th Anniversary celebration of Hip Hop culture with “The Drip: 50 Years of Hip Hop Fashion,” a live runway show held at The Venue at the Hard Rock Hotel Times Square.

Nostagic videos played on the gian screen as fashion design legends Karl Kani, April Walker, FUBU and Dapper Dan revealed clothing from their newest collections.

DJ Ralph McDaniels, creator of Hip Hop’s longest running broadcast variety show, Video Music Box and the Video Music Box Collection has been documenting Hip Hop culture for the past 40 years. “The Drip” included footage from a decade of original “Phat Fashion” runway shows for the audience of the next generation of Hip Hop’s designer’s, influencers, and fashionistas.

Hip Hop musical guest Special Ed surprised the crowd with the Lo-Life’s and a special performance of his classics.

“For the past 50 years, Hip Hop fashion designers have carved their own lane in the fashion industry as creative entrepreneurs. Today, you can recognize Hip Hop style no matter where you see it globally,” said Universal Hip Hop Museum Executive Director Rocky Bucano.

“The Drip” is inspired by the groundbreaking Phat Fashion Show produced by Ralph McDaniels and Video Music Box. “Hip Hop’s influence on fashion is undeniable. And young Black and Brown designers and models made their own lane when the traditional fashion industry excluded them. So today, we celebrate those original trendsetters and the future leaders of Hip Hop fashion,” said Executive Producer Ralph McDaniels.

Nick Cannon, Father Of 12, Says Any Future Babies Are In God’s Hands

In the final months of 2022, it felt as though a new Nick Cannon baby was being born every week. The 42-year-old welcomed more children last year than some become parents to in a lifetime. Presently, it still remains unclear if he’s done. In the past, he’s sometimes gotten defensive when interviewers ask about the possibility of a vasectomy. In a recent interview, he explained that it’s not up to him if his family continues to expand.

He first became a father back in 2011, during his marriage to R&B legend Mariah Carey. They welcomed twins, Monroe and Moroccan, and currently still share custody, though rumour has it that the vocalist is legally battling with her ex over that. Seeing as he’s fathered 10 more kids in the years since she gave birth, Cannon obviously doesn’t have as much time to spend with his oldest two.

The Cannon Family Tree

The San Diego-born star didn’t expand his clan again until 2017 when Brittany Bell gave birth to a boy named Golden Sagon. Three years later the model gave her co-parent his fourth when Powerful Queen was born in December 2020. After this is when things start to get confusing, as more baby mothers enter the picture. Abby De La Rosa became pregnant next, bringing the second set of Cannon twins into the world in the summer of 2021.

Weeks later, Alyssa Scott’s baby boy, Zen, came into the world. Unfortunately, he made a departure at just five months old following a heartbreaking battle with cancer. By the next summer, it was reported that several more Cannon babies were on the way, including Bre Tiesi’s Legendary Love in June 2022 and LaNisha Cole’s Onyx Ice Cole in September. Additionally, Bell, De La Rose, and Scott all continued their respective families with Cannon from late September to mid-December.

Alexa, Play “God’s Plan”

As mentioned earlier, the multi-talent’s family is a sensitive subject for him, particularly when asked about his future plans for more children. Earlier this week Cannon sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss fatherhood, among other things. “God decides when we’re done, but I believe I definitely got my hands full,” he acknowledged in the interview.

Ever the jokester, the father of 12 then added, “And I’m so focused. I’m locked in. But when I’m 85, you never know. I might [have more].” Would you be opposed to watching Nick Cannon continue to grow his family, or do you think he should focus on fostering the offspring he already has? Sound off in the comments, and check back later for more pop culture news.

T.I. & Boosie Badazz Continue Their Beef

The beef between T.I. and Boosie Badazz continued this weekend as the former sent the latter scathing shots both live and on the Gram. Moreover, their beef started after Boosie claimed T.I. snitched, and therefore pulled their idea for a joint album. Then, the Atlanta trap star clapped back at those claims, calling them false and bringing up the receipts. “Let a motherf***er know that the paperwork was present,” he said at a live setting to many fans. “I’ve been waiting on one special invited guest to show up, but he ain’t showed up yet. But he ain’t here to see my paperwork. So come on if you got something to say. I wanna see who wanna see, you hear me?”

“After you see what you need to see, it’s on you now,” T.I. continued. “Now go straighten that s**t up, ’cause n***a, you got too far in your jaw. You got too much dip on your chip.” Furthermore, the Baton Rouge rapper had this to say about the “Live Your Life” star’s story about his cousin. “If he did that, you’re a fuckin’ rat, too,” he expressed to DJ Vlad. “I don’t spare no-mothafuckin’-body… if you cooperate with law enforcement to get you out of trouble… that means you’re a rat.”

T.I. Unleashes On Boosie At Live Event

Despite T.I.’s boasting and him posting court documents to prove haters wrong, he’s kind of going a bit harder than you’d expect. For example, he commented on Boosie’s post as he enjoyed an Atlanta Hawks game. “Say boy u posed to be up here @trapcitycafe,” he commented, referencing the earlier clip of him at a live setting. “Checking dis paperwork and straightening yo face or else you flaw…. according to the convict law.”

Afterwards, Boosie replied to his comment with a simple “I text U,” adding a green checkmark. Whereas T.I. is seemingly blowing this up every chance he gets, Badazz seems a bit hesitant. However, we don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, so maybe it’s not as one-sided as it appears. After all, with a few rappers siding with T.I., maybe Boosie realized he bit off more than he could chew. At the end of the day, it’s just a social media beef that probably won’t define either of their careers. Regardless, check out their Instagram exchange below and return to HNHH for the latest on T.I. and Boosie Badazz.

Kim Kardashian Looks Like Megan Fox’s Twin In New SKIMS Ad, Social Media Reacts

Kim Kardashian has switched her look up several times throughout her career, whether by chopping her hair off to sport a platinum bob or altering her wardrobe following her divorce from Kanye West. Along with those changes, the mother of four has also been accused of going under the knife to change things about her face and body as well, though she’s only admitted to undergoing laser treatment and injecting Botox.

Most recently, the reality starlet is facing allegations of fully stealing another famous beauty’s face. While modelling for her newest SKIMS ad campaign, some social media users were quick to point out that Kardashian’s face looks “so different” from normal. Many are comparing her to Transformers actress Megan Fox, which is obviously more of a compliment than a criticism.

Kim’s SKIMS Switch Up

Earlier this week, the clothing brand began teasing its new Cotton Sleep collection, made from their most-loved jersey fabric. The launch took place on Friday (February 24) in six different styles and three colours – white, black, and light grey. As expected SKIMS’ products look undeniably comfortable, but in the comment section, many are more focused on the difference in Kardashian’s looks.

“Bianca Censori??” one user wrote, suggesting that the 42-year-old may be trying to channel Ye’s new wife with the sudden switch up. “It’s giving Monica Bellucci,” someone else pointed out. “@meganfox is that you?” yet another account holder teased. Besides discourse on her “new face,” the comments are also filled with people begging Kardashian to restock various SKIMS products that previously sold out too quickly.

Thirst Traps by Kendall

On her personal Instagram account, the California native has been in full beach babe mode, sharing plenty of swimsuit snapshots with her millions of fans. It all began on Friday (February 24), when she asked her little sister, Kendall Jenner, to be her photographer. In the caption, she teased the supermodel for the recent photoshop allegations brought against her, earning a laugh from many.

The 818 Tequila founder has been working overtime behind the lens lately. Not long ago, Khloé Kardashian thanked Jenner for taking some excellent thirst traps of her toned figure in a bikini. Amid rumours that they’re getting back together, many couldn’t help but notice Tristan Thompson’s not-so-subtle double tap. Keep scrolling to see more of Kim’s latest SKIMS campaign photos, as well as the Good American founder’s thirst traps from earlier this month.

Riff Raff Offers His Home Studio

For example, he just dropped the single “Clout Collector” with Cash Motivated and AD Green.

Along with five other singles this year, he’s hard at work on his follow-up to his 2021 album, Turquoise Tornado. While Riff isn’t exactly the most acclaimed MC out there, something must be said about him still working on his career. After all, many who blew up in a similarly viral way might be in completely different avenues at this point. Regardless, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from Riff Raff and his potential new collaborators in the studio.
