Milwaukee Bucks Co-Owner Marc Lasry Sells HIs Portion of the Team for $3.5B

The Milwaukee Bucks are switching over to new ownership. According to ESPN‘s Tim Bontemps, team co-owner Marc Lasry is selling his portion of the team to Cleveland Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam. The selling figure is $3.5 billion.

The deal is subject to league approval but will be the second-highest valuation of an NBA team. The only one to top it is the $4 billion sale of the NPhoenix Suns completed at the earlier of the month, sending ownership from Robert Sarvar to Mat Ishbia.

Before the Suns’ purchase, the previous record was Joe Tsai’s purchasing of the Brooklyn Nets for $2.3 billion.

Lasry bought the team in 2014, in partnership with New York hedge fund financier Wes Edens. The purchase price was $550 million. In that time, the Bucks became the home of one of the best players in the league NBA MVP Giannis Antentokounmpo, and won a championship in 2021.

Today, the Bucks eye another championship and currently have the longest-running win streak in the NBA at 14 games.

Asher Roth Used To Babysit Justin Bieber, Lived In Same Building As Scooter Braun

When Justin Bieber first got scouted by music executive Scooter Braun, he moved down from Canada to Atlanta with his mom. As his mom worked, the then 13-year-old was dropped off at Asher Roth’s house. While babysitting him, the rapper would teach the rising star skills that would become valuable in his musical career. Roth lived in the same building as Braun, who ultimately took the two emerging artists under his wings, thus building their careers today.

At the time that Roth started babysitting the “Sorry” singer, he was working on The Greenhouse Effect. The rapper noted in a 2010 interview with VladTV how Bieber’s mom was worried, supposedly based on the mixtape’s content. However, little Bieber remained with the upcoming artist and learned “everything he knows” from him, according to Roth. The “I Love College” rapper reflected on young Biebs influence on the youth, noting how “at the end of the day, the kids is really what it’s all about.”

Roth And Bieber Were Taken In By Braun

In a recent interview with Idea Generation, Braun reflected on that time period in his career. He recounts the balancing act of managing young artists early on, “I had this kid living in a townhouse illegally, and this guy living in like this broken down house two minutes away from that, and Asher was babysitting Justin sometimes, and like, it was wild back those days. But I fully believed in these guys, and I risked everything.” Ultimately, Braun’s recruitment of both Bieber and Roth resulted in their successful careers today.

Both artists remain signed to Braun’s label, School Boy. Roth released a collaboration album last year with Heather Grey titled Why’s It So Grey Out?, which includes features from Kota the Friend, Lord Apex, and Like. Bieber, on the other hand, recently joined talents with Don Toliver for their song “Private Landing.” Additionally, Biebs made a big win this year by selling his music catalog to Hipgnosis Songs Capital for $200 million. Needless to say, that’s a big jump from his early days of being babysat in Atlanta by Roth. For more news on hip-hop and pop culture, be sure to check out HNHH.

Matthew Lawrence On New Private Romance With TLC’s Chilli, Says She’s One Of The Best People He’s Ever Met

Matthew Lawrence and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas have officially validated their relationship status. In December, the couple took to Instagram to announce their partnership, all while dancing to “Take On Me” in matching PJs. The former TLC singer shared a reflective message with her post, “God had perfect timing. Never early and never late. It takes a little patience and a lot of faith.” Since then, the duo has kept their relationship quiet. But, the Boy Meets World star still can’t help but gush about his new romance.

In a recent interview, Lawrence reflected on his relationship with Chilli, calling her “one of the most spectacular people” he has ever met. “We like to try to keep things private — that was just something fun, but I will tell you: we have a podcast coming out. That’s the kind of stuff that we talk about on the podcast,” the 43-year-old said.

Matthew Lawrence And Chilli Share Their Love On Insta

Lawrence is entering his new relationship after exiting a three-year marriage with Cheryl Burke last year. The two had originally pursued a relationship in 2007, only to revisit their love a decade later. The Dancing With The Stars pro claimed that Lawrence had cheated on her. She received the official news of their divorce while on set for the premier of the show, which she recounted in her podcast Burke in the Game. Although their divorce was finalized, one trial remains over the custody of their dog. “I am still really hurt by the whole situation because that is my dog,” she explains. “Ysabella is my daughter; I am a dog mom, I couldn’t even imagine my life without her. I could just cry right now.”

As for Chilli, her previous relationships have also been private in recent years. However, she had dated music producer Dallas Austin, who is the father of her son. The 51-year-old also was in a relationship with Usher, who she eventually broke up with due to infidelity. Now, she shares her heart with Lawrence, and we’re sure that more details will come about their relationship in their upcoming podcast. Former NFL Star Zac Stacy Sentenced To Six Months In Jail Following Viral Domestic Incident

Ex-Rams running back Zac Stacy has met his sentencing for the viral video showcasing a domestic incident. In the video which surfaced in 2021, Stacy is seen slamming his former partner Kristen Evans to the ground, all while their child was present. The judge presiding over the case has ruled six months in prison with probation for the football player. Fox 35 Orlando reports that Stacy had entered into a plea deal earlier this month. Accordingly, some of the charges against him have been dropped.

Evans had requested that Stacy only receive probation. But after the trial, the state found that the defendant should receive a year in jail. Working with both requests, the judge ultimately ruled in the middle ground. Additionally, Stacy is to receive counseling among other services. The gruesome video captured on a home security camera showed the then 30-year-old violently attacking Evans, while their baby was on the couch beside them. Along with throwing her viciously to the floor, Stacy hit her repeatedly. He shouted at Evans, “you gon’ ruin relationships and talk about how I’m destructive?”

Zac Stacy’s Sentence Shortened By Evans Request For Probation

After the videos were released publically and Evans had filed her restraining order, Stacy had gone on to share his opinions of the incident. He claimed that his ex-partner had framed him, suggesting that she was unhappy with him wanting to end their relationship. In the video of his arrest, he mentions how he just left rehab for mental health issues. In addition, Stacy recounts how he found out that Evans had been cheating on him with his financial advisor.

Despite the unavoidable violence that was displayed in the initial domestic abuse video, Evans was the one to advocate for Stacy’s easy punishment. In court, he offered an apology to the mother of his child: “Chris. I’m very sorry for my actions. I’m very sorry for what happened, and how I hurt you. I just wasn’t mentally or emotionally healthy, and there is absolutely no justification for what I did, no excuses for my actions toward you. I never meant to hurt you, and even with the progression we made towards co-parenting, I hope deep down you can forgive me for what I’ve caused and done to you.” Currently, reports have stated that the two have shared custody of their child.
