TDE’s Punch Teases “Label Album”; Kendrick Lamar May Not Be On It

According to TDE president Terrence “Punch” Henderson, a Top Dawg Entertainment album could be on the way.

During a Q&A on Twitter on Wednesday (May 4), Punch responded to a question regarding a “label album” – the answer was “yes.” Since Kendrick is leaving the label, Punch didn’t clarify if the project would feature all-new music from the current roster or a compilation of previously-released music.

Though his followers were filled with excitement, it didn’t last long – TDE has a history of slow output. “bruh cmon now … You know we never getting a TDE label album or a Black Hippie album stop gassing these folks bruh,” one follower replied. Another wrote, “Don’t let @iamstillpunch gas y’all up like this.”

This wouldn’t be the first time TDE has teased a group album. Fans have long awaited for a Black Hippy album, comprised of Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul. Some of their tracks included “Say Wassup,” “Vice City,” and “U.O.E.N.O (Remix).” Punched explained during an interview with Mic earlier this year that the timing just never worked out for Black Hippy.

“We definitely wanted to do a Black Hippy album”, he said. “But it was such a learning experience for us, everything was new… When one guy would be recording his album, another guy would be on tour. Everybody was never in the same timeframe. So we didn’t want to hold back; we wanted to keep going and just push further into their individual careers.”

Since their emergence in the early 2010s, the label’s roster has continued to grow.

Jack Harlow’s Flirty Interaction With Emma Chamberlain Has Twitter Talking

Emma Chamberlain, popular YouTuber-turned-influencer, took on the red carpet for the 2022 Met Gala as Vogue‘s on-camera interviewer. The social media star spoke to different celebrities like Hailey Bieber, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, and many more. However, a moment with Jack Harlow has gone viral today, as fans speculate that Jack may be “flirting” with Emma.

In the minute-long interaction, Jack approached Emma as she’s finishing her makeup. Emma asks Jack “Okay, so what are we wearing tonight?” to which Jack responds, “A suit.”

At the end of the interaction, Jack compliments the food at the event and Emma agrees, “I know.” Jack responded, “You know what’s up. I don’t have to explain it to you.” Finishing up the conversation Emma tells Jack she’ll “see [him] in there,” and he begins walking away saying “Can’t wait. Love you. Bye.” Emma says “Love ya” back to the Kentucky-born rapper before staring into the camera, realizing what had just happened.

One user tweeted, “Not Jack Harlow flirting with MISS EMMA CHAMBERLAIN.” While another tweeted, “emma saying love you back to jack harlow and her face after IS SENDING ME.”

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna Share Love Story in ‘D.M.B.’ Video

A$AP Rocky’s long-awaited video for “D.M.B.” is here.

Nearly one year after shooting the visual, Rocky debuts his new single, “D.M.B. (Dats Mah Bitch).” While the song doesn’t feature Rihanna, his pregnant girlfriend co-stars as his leading lady in the video, which was shot in the Bronx and directed by Rocky.

In the cinematic clip, described as a “ghetto love tale,” the real-life couple plays ride-or-die lovers who stick together despite the circumstances. They hold each other down through good and bad, including when Rocky goes to jail on several occasions.

They also get married, donning a pair of grillz that say “Marry Me?” and “I Do.” In a scene of art imitating life, fans hold up signs that read “Free Rocky” as they walk hand-in-hand down the street.

“D.M.B.” is set to appear on Rocky’s upcoming album All Smiles. In an interview with GQ last year, he described the project as a “ghetto love tale” and “way more mature” than his previous work.

Last month, Rocky was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a November 2021 shooting. Police have reportedly uncovered surveillance video, which could lead to charges. Over the weekend, he returned to the stage for the first time since his arrest at The Smoker’s Club festival in San Bernardino, Calif.
