André 3000’s “Life Of The Party” Verse Receives Praise From Scarface, T.I., & More

Drake and Kanye West’s ongoing feud has been the talk of the internet for some time now, but fans are left a bit confused by the former’s decision to leak an unreleased Ye track that’s been getting a ton of praise. The song in question, “Life of the Party” featuring André 3000, was recently reposted by Big Boi with a round of applause.

“Atta Boi #JediRapShit” he captioned the snippet of 3 Stacks’ verse. “ATLiens,” T.I. chimed in.

Scarface also had something to say about 3000’s emotional bars. “Wow 3k,” the rapper wrote, followed by, “Wait a minute….. daaaaaaaamn!!!!!!!!!!!!”

With so many legends showering André with such high praise, it’s clear that his collaboration with West is a certified hit. Unfortunately, the song didn’t turn out exactly the way 3000 anticipated it would.

“I thought it was a beautiful choice to make a clean album but, unfortunately, I didn’t know that was the plan before I wrote and recorded my verse,” the singer revealed, explaining why “Life of the Party” wasn’t included on the original DONDA release.

“It was clear to me that an edited ‘clean’ format of the verse would not work without having the raw, original also available.”

3 Stacks then gave his opinion on the ongoing drama, and the fact that West turned their song into a diss track without his knowledge, saying, “It’s unfortunate that it was released in this way this way and two artists that I love are going back and forth.”

You can listen to the full version of “Life of the Party” below. What are your thoughts on 3000’s verse?

Pusha-T Likes Tweet About Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” Streams

Pusha-T is seemingly still being petty with Drake, “liking” a tweet about the Toronto rapper’s streaming numbers for Certified Lover Boy, which appear to be dwindling after the initial rush of first-day sales.

It’s being reported that Kanye West’s DONDA streams have been increasing over the last few days, while Drake’s streams appear to be declining. While Drake will almost surely have the #1 album of the week, Kanye may eventually take over the following week, because his project is just getting more and more popular, while people seem to be cooling off of CLB. According to multiple sources, including XXL, Drake saw a dramatic decrease in streams on the second day of CLB‘s release, whereas Kanye’s numbers grew on the second day.

Pusha-T is making the rounds again for his inadvertent comments about the streaming decrease, “liking” a tweet that predicted this exact sort of instance.

“I predicted this,” says the latest “liked” tweet from Push, which replies to XXL’s tweet about Drake and Kanye’s second-day numbers. “I said drake’s day 1 is gonna be huge off the element of surprise then its just gonna drop. donda everyone heard in full 3 weeks before it dropped, still did these numbers and is only growing in streams. crazy!”

It isn’t surprising that Pusha-T is celebrating Kanye’s DONDA streams getting ready to surpass Drake’s. Considering Drake and Pusha’s history, any negative comments from either side is simply expected, at this point.

Kanye West’s “DONDA” Had More Second-Day Streams Than Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy”

Drake will almost certainly win the first-week sales battle, but it looks like Kanye West may have the upper-hand in long-term sales because already, on the second day of release, DONDA has more second-day streams than Certified Lover Boy.

After five days on the market, Kanye West secured enough first-week sales with DONDA to have the overall best first week of album sales for the year. That record is only set to last for the next few days though because, on Friday, Drake will surely snatch that crown from him. However, with the way that things are looking for both albums, DONDA may be proving to be the more impactful project in the long run because, comparing second-day streams, Kanye had more activity than Drake.

According to multiple sources, including XXL, Drake blew Kanye out of the water with first-day streams, clocking in at 153 million as opposed to Kanye’s 94 million. On the second day though, Kanye’s streams grew to over 102 million, while Drake’s dwindled dramatically, reducing to 89 million. At this rate, it feels like Certified Lover Boy could be here and gone within a few weeks, while DONDA is continuing to strive.

Which album have you been enjoying the most lately? With the comparisons that were made after Kanye and Drake dropped their respective albums, it will be interesting to see how the sales battle looks at the end of this week.

Machine Gun Kelly Denies Battery Accusations From On Set Parking Attendant

It appears that things aren’t so quiet on the set of Machine Gun Kelly’s latest movie, or that’s what a Los Angeles parking attendant has alleged, anyway. The singer is currently facing accusations of battery from an apparent on-set incident, although he and his team have been denying any claims.

According to TMZ, MGK was working on Good Mourning with a U, his latest project with girlfriend Megan Fox. The film is being co-directed by Kelly and Mod Sun, and the pair will also star alongside one another on-screen.

Apparently, a parking attendant who wasn’t aware of what was happening wandered into the on-location shoot, and started “barking” at a crew member to get out of the lot. TMZ reports that the “Wild Boy” singer yelled at the attendant to leave, but he has another story.

According to the employee, MGK was upset about a delay in receiving his car, causing him to lash out and push the attendant in the chest. When reporting the incident to the police, he told them that there were no witnesses, despite the fact that they were on a movie set, and multiple people have spoken to TMZ about what they saw.

The site also notes that the attendant waited almost a week before taking the claims of battery to the police, which makes his case look seemingly more suspicious.

With his camp backing him up, it looks like Kelly’s got nothing to worry about; he can get back to work directing, acting, and putting together a track list for the upcoming album he recently announced.

Nicki Minaj Explains Why She Turned Down Doja Cat Collab

Nicki Minaj joined a fan’s Twitter Spaces conversation this weekend, interacting with hundreds of Barbs and offering an update on her next studio album and more, and she also spoke about her love for Doja Cat, who shouted out the Queen at the very end of her song “Get Into It (Yuh).”

According to Nicki, she’s got a lot of love for Doja Cat, and she was actually supposed to be featured on “Get Into It,” but she didn’t think she could add anything to the track, so she passed on the collaboration.

When a fan suggested that Nicki is too busy to feature on Doja Cat’s album, Nicki said that it was nothing of the sort.

“It’s not that I’m too busy at all, it’s just that there were, like, middle people involved in that situation so I had told her, if it was like how me and BIA were direct and we talked to each other directly, but I didn’t love that song [“Get Into It”] because I didn’t think I could bring anything to it,” said Nicki. “So I asked them to send me something else. I think that was the second song they sent me, I asked them to send me something else and they didn’t send me anything else.”

When a fan pointed out that the song samples “Massive Attack,” Nicki pointed out that she doesn’t even really like that song. “No,” she exclaimed before the fan interjected, “I love that song!”

It’s a shame that we didn’t get the inevitable Doja Cat x Nicki Minaj collaboration on Planet Her, but maybe Doja will make an appearance on the Queen’s next album. What do you think their song will sound like?
