Local Authorities Provide Extra Security to Gravesite of Megan Thee Stallion’s Mother Amid Nicki Minaj Beef
As Nicki Minaj continues to tweet away and promote her Megan Thee Stallion diss “Big Foot,” extra protection is brought into Hot Girl Meg’s mother’s gravesite.
According to TMZ, a cemetery in Texas is working with local authorities to increase security around the resting place of Holly Thomas. Thomas died of brain cancer in 2019.
Currently, nothing has happened to the gravesite, but the leaking of the location by the Barbz is being taken as a credible threat.
Nicki referred to Megan’s moom in “Big Foot” but noted it was due to referencing her family in the “Hiss” record.

Today in Hip-Hop History: Wu-Tang Clan Dropped “C.R.E.A.M.” Single 30 Years Ago!
On this date in 1994, the legendary Staten Island, NY collective known as the Wu-Tang Clan released one of the crew’s most memorable songs to date; “C.R.E.A.M.(Cash Rules Everything Around Me)” from their debut album Enter The 36 Chambers.
Recorded in Firehouse studios in NYC, Wu-Tang Clan leader/advisor The RZA sampled The Charmels’ 1967 song, “As Long As I’ve Got You.” Since the WTC’s creation of this hit, “cream” became a slang term used for money in hoods all across the country and eventually the globe.
On January 29, 2009, “C.R.E.A.M.” was certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of 500,000 units, 15 years after it was first released.
According to groundbreaking publications such as Time Magazine and Rolling Stone, C.R.E.A.M. is regarded as one of the best rap songs of all time.

Kanye West & Snoop Dogg Attend Charlie Wilson’s Hollywood Star Ceremony
Charlie Wilson deserves all his flowers… and now he’s enjoying the fruits of his labor.
On Monday, Jan. 29th, the Gap Band vocalist not only celebrated his 71st birthday but was honored with the coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The highly-anticipated event drew out all the elites in the music industry, including Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Tyler The Creator, Babyface, Ty Dolla $ign, Tank, and more.
Babyface was one of the speakers, giving a heartwarming speech paying homage to the greatness that Charlie Wilson is. Babyface states, “I’m just so proud to be a part of your life. For you to even know me, to know my name and say anything to me period, I’m geeked about that. Please, I wanna say it again, give love to Charlie Wilson cause he deserves this.”
Snoop Dogg also shared his sentiments on Instagram, including throwback videos of the two performing their standout hit “Upside Ya Head.” The caption reads, “Congratulations to #CharlieWilson on receiving his MUCH DESERVED star along the Hollywood Walk Of Fame! 
”
While Charlie Wilson first exploded onto the scene in the 1970s as a member of the Gap Band, his solo color took its own course. He has 11 songs with Kanye West and over a dozen with Snoop Dogg.

Today In Hip Hop History: Too $hort Dropped His Fifth LP ‘Life Is …Too $hort’ 35 Years Ago
On this day in 1989, Bay Area rap legend Too $hort released his second album Life Is …Too $hort on the legendary, but now defunct Jive/RCA imprint.
Not long after $hort retired from selling thousands of units from the trunk of his car, his fifth full-length studio release became his top-selling album to date. Even after dropping over twenty albums, Too $hort’s most successful LP was this ten-track gem laced with creative arrangements of curse words and a crash course on the pimp game. Tracks like “Pimp the Ho” and “Don’t Fight The Feelin’” were instructional tracks to those outside of Oakland unfamiliar with $hort, while songs like “Cusswords” and the title track gave off an “American hood” appeal that many around the country during the crack era could relate to.
Thanks to the Bay Area vet who put it down of Northern California when there wasn’t many well known rappers outside of New York to begin with. Salute for this piece of Hip Hop history!

BJ The Chicago Kid Announces ‘The Gravy Tour’
7x GRAMMY Award nominee BJ The Chicago Kid is hitting the road again with the much-anticipated The Gravy Tour! The tour is set to kick off on April 27th, 2024, at Birchmere Music Hall in Alexandria, Virginia. It will traverse major cities like New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Nashville, and Atlanta before concluding in Honolulu, Hawaii, at The Blue Note Hawaii on June 6th. Idris Elba to Return for Season 2 of ‘Hijack’
Idris Elba will get a second run in Hijack. According to Variety, Apple TV+ will set up a second season for the show where Elba stars as Sam Nelson.
In season one, Nelson was a passenger on an hour plane ride from Dubai to London that terrorists hijacked. Nelson was able to diffuse the situation, uncovering the mystery along the way.
“I was floored by the overwhelming audience response after Season 1,” Elba said. “It’s top secret what new situation unfolds for Sam Nelson, but I can assure you we will bring the high octane back!”
“Global audiences were on tenterhooks watching Idris’ riveting performance in ‘Hijack,’ and we’re thrilled to be working again with 60Forty and Idiotlamp on an equally compelling Season 2,” said Jay Hunt, Apple TV+’s creative director for Europe.
