Logic is currently in the process of rolling out his eagerly anticipated album Ultra 85, which is expected to arrive in March of this year. At the beginning of this month, he dropped a new track called “Fear” alongside an accompanying music video starring Portland-based drag queen and makeup artist Tajh “Flawless Shade” Jordan. While the song and video’s message earned Logic quite a bit of praise from fans, the feedback he’s received lately hasn’t been all positive.

Earlier this week, he dropped a new episode of Logically Speaking featuring his father. In the episode, Logic explains why he’s decided not to give his loved ones large sums of money anymore, as it pains him to see it go to waste. During the conversation, he described himself as a “millionaire,” and later shared a clip of it on Twitter/X.

Painter Accuses Logic Of Not Paying Him

Painter Maha Sattva saw the clip and replied to it on X, accusing Logic of stealing various pieces from him. “OKAY B*TCH YOURE A MILLIONAIRE BUT YOU STOLE 7 paintings from me. Pay me for them. I’m not asking for a handout, you f*cking owe me for them,” he wrote. Sattva later shared alleged screenshots of their conversations about the paintings, in which Logic offered to shout him out for sending them to him. In another screenshot, the rapper asks about pricing, though specifics aren’t discussed.

“Logic saw some of my paintings that he liked, and so he asked me to send them to him; in exchange for him shouting me out to his millions of followers,” Sattva explains in a subsequent Tweet. “This was his idea, not mine. He also had asked how much they would cost, but that never amounted to anything. On one hand, some think that this might be the closest Tussauds has come to bringing Beyonce to life. Others, however, think the brand has work to do in terms of the mother of three’s face card. “They can never get her face right,” one Twitter/X user wrote after seeing Madame Tussaud’s latest attempt at recreating Beyonce’s beauty. The hair and body are pretty close to Beyonce’s, but there’s obviously still work to be done in other areas. Usher, like the true soulful superstar he is, doesn’t think that R&B is dead, but if he had gone with his gut back around 2003, he might not have been the king of the genre to make that belief have weight in the first place. Moreover, according to TMZ, producer Rico Love recently went to Home Grown Radio to talk about his big break writing for Usher’s 2004 album Confessions. In addition, he also gave an interesting claim about the backstory behind the smash hit “Yeah!” While it’s not a traditional R&B cut, it’s still one of the Dallas native’s biggest hits, one that Love claims he didn’t want to record at first.

Apparently, Rico Love was there when Usher first heard the demo for “Yeah!,” which Sean Garrett wrote. Initially, he did not like the song at all, and he rejected any advances to record the track for his then-upcoming 2004 project. The producer thought that it was a little cringe, and so did the Super Bowl’s upcoming halftime show performer. Not only that, but Love even said that the opening lines “Up in the club with my homies/ Tryin’ to get a little V.I./ Keep it down on the low-key” made him burst into laughter.

Rico Love Recalls L.A. Reid Allegedly Pressuring Usher To Put Out “Yeah!”: Watch

However, L.A. Reid had something else to say about “Yeah!” as a then-music executive and the President of Arista Records at the time. He thought the record sounded like true-blue hit, and staunchly suggested that Usher release it as the first single instead of “Burn.” Allegedly, as Rico Love recalled, he fought back against these pressures until Reid simply said “Do the f***ing song!” and hung up on him. In addition, he apparently also left the SKIMS collaborator no choice but to put the song out, through other means that weren’t just a phone call.

Meanwhile, we’re sure that he will be able to see the real love that people have for “Yeah!” during his upcoming tour. The 45-year-old surely has different thoughts on the track these days, now that hindsight is 20/20. Already, the duo is making headlines for their tour outfits, props, announcements, and more. Of course, their onstage antics have also gotten quite a bit of attention. In a new clip, for example, J. Cole reacts to an audience member throwing their demo tape at him, which crashed onto the stage and burst out of its case.

An audible gasp is then heard from the rest of the crowd, though J. Cole just calmly walked past the CD, later kicking it off the stage. “N***a threw his demo up here,” he said. “It’s 2024, n***a. USB is okay.” While some critical commenters think he should’ve given the demo a listen, others suspect that J. Cole just didn’t want to trip over it during the show.
