Cardi B Declares She’s ‘Not A Feminist Anymore’ As She Explains Her ‘Controversial’ Stance On Relationships

It’s been a big 24 hours for Cardi B. Aside from releasing her own “Enough (Miami),” she and SZA also hopped on Flo Milli’s “Never Lose Me” remix. She also generated some attention yesterday by talking about her perspective on feminism and relationships.

In a video shared by Wallo267 yesterday (March 14), Cardi discussed her take, saying, “If you gonna be the type of b*tch that… you want a n**** to take care of you and everything… but it’s like, alright, you have to pick a balance. You cannot just be a b*tch that’s like, ‘Oh, my man take care of me,’ but what do you do? What are you contributing? You can’t be complaining like, ‘Oh, I cook, I clean every day.’ It’s like, ‘OK, but you don’t work. You don’t contribute to the house.’”

She then said, “So this is really controversial, right,” before going on to speak about her belief that the man and woman in a relationship should have an equal financial responsibility if their income is the same. She later continued, “That’s what I’m saying, like, I’m not a feminist anymore, because it’s like… sometimes it’s like, y’all b*tches ain’t living in the real world. Y’all not living there.”

Cardi B is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

“BMF” Fans Roast Show’s Weak 2Pac Casting

BMF fans have voiced their frustration over the show’s weak casting and portrayal of Tupac Shakur. Actor Mason Douglas only bears a passing resemblance to Pac, while the costuming debate chose to give him what can only be described as a Spirit Halloween 2Pac costume. Online, many fans commented “WhoPac” on clips from the show’s latest episode. 2Pac does not play much of a role in the story of BMF. However, his association with the powerful crime outfit is enough to warrant a brief cameo appearance as the show’s story unfolds.

The casting of 2Pac has always been a daunting one. Anthony Mackie, now best known for his work in the MCU, has famously recalled the dread he felt announcing that he would be playing 2Pac. Overall, most depictions of the beloved rapper have not gone over well with fans. How did you feel about 2Pac in BMF? Let us know in the comments.

Starz To End Power Book II: Ghost For Cost-Cutting Reasons

However, BMF is not the only 50 Cent show grabbing disappointing headlines this week. Power Book II: Ghost will end after its upcoming fourth season. Starz announced the decision as a cost-cutting measure. “We want to contain content costs by developing more new shows versus sustaining series longer as they become more expensive,” Star CEO Jeffrey Hirsch explained.

Furthermore, Hirsch expanded on the rationale. “You look at the [Power] map and say, ‘OK, if I take one of those characters out and spin one of those out, I can bring that on to replace the Power show at half the cost.’ Now I’m putting a lot of money right to the bottom line. And I’m really not losing anything in terms of acquisition costs and subscriber viewership, because we know what those demos want,” he added. It’s not the first time money has been a factor with Ghost. Omari Hardwick revealed last year he was made an underwhelming offer to return to the franchise as the eponymous Ghost.

Pornhub Blocks Access In Texas Over Age Verification Law

Aylo, the parent company of Pornhub, has blocked access to the popular pornography site to Texan users. The move comes in protest of a state age-verification law that was upheld in federal court. Texas becomes the seventh state to lose access to the litany of pornographic services owned by Aylo. Other sites blocked include YouPorn, Brazzers, Digital Playground, and RealityKings. Aylo has chosen to disable the website rather than comply with a highly restrictive and intrusive age verification law.

Furthermore, Texan users trying to access the site will instead find an open letter from Aylo rebuking the law, which was upheld in federal court last week. “Not only does this impinge on the rights of adults to access protected speech, it fails strict scrutiny by employing the least effective and yet also most restrictive means of accomplishing Texas’s stated purpose of allegedly protecting minors,” the letter reads in part. Furthermore, Alex Kekesi, VP of brand and community at Aylo, called the Texan law “ineffective, haphazard, and dangerous”.

TikTok Ban Passes The House

However, Aylo is not the only tech company gearing up for legal battles with the American political system. A bipartisan bill that could see TikTok banned in the United States has passed the US House of Representatives by a vote of 325-65. The Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act would demand that TikTok divest from its Chinese parent company. If the company refused, the app would become unavailable in the United States. The bill was proposed on the basis of protecting the data of American users from the Chinese. However, many opponents have labeled the bill as Sinophobic fearmongering.

While the bill faces an uphill battle in the senate, several American entities are already plotting their next steps. A US group led by former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin has announced their intention to mount a bid to buy TikTok. Mnuchin revealed the plan while appearing on CNBC’s Squawk Box. Mnuchin, who gained notoriety for his OneWestBank firm during the 2008 recession, was one of the few cabinet secretaries to see out Donald Trump‘s entire term in office.

Cardi B Continues To Regain Her Trademark Confidence On “Enough (Miami)”

It was clear that over the past several months, Cardi B was not in the best mental headspace. Of course, one of the key contributing factors to that was her split with Offset. Additionally, her actions on social media were also hard to stomach for most people. But it seems that the New York superstar has been slowly finding herself again and having fun making music. Case and point, Cardi B’s newest track “Enough (Miami).”

This comes two weeks after her initial comeback with “Like What (Freestyle).” That single has been a hit with fans so far, racking up over nine million views and still on the trending for music page on YouTube. With “Enough (Miami),” Cardi B is showcasing a similar formula, which is be undeniably confident. Like we said earlier, she has been rebuilding herself, so the energy both songs have been giving makes sense.

Listen To “Enough (Miami)” By Cardi B

However, there is an even more aggressive fervor to Cardi’s track. The beat, crafted by OG Parker, Romano, and DJ SwanQo, is darker and punchier. Part of the reason that is because Cardi sampled Missy Elliott’s “She’s a B****” on “Like What,” which has a more rhythmic feeling. The gritty femcee is giving this track her all with fast flows, some funny and hard-hitting bars, and of course, her confident energy.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Enough (Miami),” by Cardi B? Is this a stronger track than “Like What (Freestyle),” why or why not? What is your favorite element of the song and why? Do you think we are getting her next album this year? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Cardi B. Cardi B Turns Heads & Riles Fans Up With Provocative “Enough” Music Video

Cardi B is back with a new single “Enough (Miami),” continuing her recent hype for her upcoming and long-awaited album. While not everyone’s a fan of the song, there are plenty of people discussing the fiery, well-composed, and often provocative nature of its music video. Moreover, there’s a lot of scantily-clad outfit changes, suggestive posing, and attitude through both the body language and the lyrics that take things in a pretty lewd direction. It’s not a surprising move considering this catalog, but one that still aims to spark conversation regardless and, hopefully for their team, get more and more people excited for this upcoming LP.

Furthermore, the Bronx rapper is also dealing with some fallout thanks to a debate provoked by her comments on relationships. In fact, it doesn’t really have much to do with the relationship part, as she simply just said that she believes in a couple splitting all expenses 50/50. Rather, Cardi B remarked that she’s “not a feminist anymore,” and this is what caused a lot of people to push back and demand a more elaborate explanation. However, in all likelihood, she probably didn’t mean this as a direct attack on feminism as a whole, and it might just be a generalized comment for this specific relationship situation.

Cardi B’s “Enough (Miami)”: Stream & Watch The Music Video

Regardless of all that, the 31-year-old is having quite the busy week, as Flo Milli also recently teased that she, Bardi, and SZA will all join forces on the remix of her hit “Never Lose Me.” We’re not used to getting so much material in such a short span of time, and if you’re part of the Gang, you’re probably buzzing with excitement right now. Hopefully this prolific streak is something that can continue throughout 2024. After all, it would certainly be making up for lost time.

Meanwhile, what did you think of this new music video from the “Bongos” hitmaker? Does she still have that provocative edge or will she have to focus on something else for her new rollout? Whatever the case, let us know your thoughts down in the comments section below. Also, come back to HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Cardi B.

Alec Baldwin Seeks Dismissal Of Manslaughter Charge

Alec Baldwin has filed a motion to dismiss the manslaughter charge he will face trial over later this year. Per documents released by TMZ, Baldwin and his team have accused the Santa Fe District Attorney of “rigging” the grand jury process against Baldwin. Baldwin’s team says the seven witnesses presented to the grand jury were “biased” against the actor. They allege that three were on the “DA’s payroll” while another is currently suing Baldwin in a civil suit. A date has not been set to hear the motion. Baldwin’s trial is currently scheduled for July.

Baldwin is charged with the involuntary manslaughter of a cinematographer on the set of his film Rust. Halyna Hutchins was killed when a prop firearm held by Baldwin discharged a live round on the New Mexico set. Baldwin was initially charged but later saw the charges dropped. However, a grand jury chose to re-indict the veteran actor earlier this year. A major piece of evidence, with the motion contests, is an FBI report that Baldwin’s gun could not have fired without the trigger being pulled.

Rust Armorer Found Guilty

Meanwhile, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer on Rust, has been found guilty for her role in the on-set death of Hutchins. The 26-year-old was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, which carries a potential sentence of 18 months in prison and a $5000 fine. However, Guiterrez-Reed was found not guilty on an evidence tampering charge. This week, a judge set a sentencing hearing next month for Gutierrez-Reed.

Gutierrez-Reed’s role in the death of Halyna Hutchins was largely one of negligence. The prosecution accused her of unknowingly bringing live ammunition to set. It reportedly remained there for 12 days before the fatal shooting. Prosecutors argued that Gutierrez-Reed’s job, if done correctly, should have spotted the mistake and removed the ammunition well before tragedy struck. Overall, the armorer was lambasted for her failings when it came to gun safety and other basic tenets of her job. Gutierrez-Reed is expected to appeal the decision.

RJ Barrett To Miss Time After Brother’s Death

RJ Barrett will be indefinitely sidelined following the death of his younger brother. Nathan Barrett played at the prestigious Monteverde Academy. However, the details surrounding his death have not been released. Barrett has previously spoken about the close bond he shared with his brother. “In my family, we’re very competitive. Everyone is always trying to beat each other. Everyone is an athlete, so that’s where I get all my competitive drive,” he told SLAM in 2018.

Barrett was the third-overall pick in 2019 after a one-and-done season with Duke. He was a day-one starter for the Knicks but would only make the playoffs twice with the team. Despite this, in 2022, Barrett became the first player to sign a multiyear extension off their rookie contract with the Knicks since 1999. However, in December 2023, the Knicks traded Barrett to his hometown Raptors to acquire O.G. Annouby.

Stephen A. Smith Claims To Be A Bigger Star “Than Most Of The New York Knicks”

Elsewhere, Stephen A. Smith recently made a bold claim about his beloved Knicks. “This is the Mecca, this is Madison Square Garden, this is New York City, baby. They can’t get a star. They cannot get a star. You had a chance! You had a chance and you passed up. Woj is excellent information, all the inside info, he will break it down to a science and make you say, ‘Yeah, it makes sense.’ But it doesn’t change the reality: It’s the Mecca, and the stars come to visit. We never have any. Do you realize a legitimate argument could be made that Stephen A. Smith is one of the biggest stars in New York? Do you realize that? That’s a damn shame. Bad knees, 56 years old, ain’t thought about playing basketball in about 30 years, and I am a bigger star than most of the New York Knicks. It’s a damn shame,” Smith ranted.

Smith’s comments, and his allusions to ESPN colleague Adrian Wojnarowski, come after the Knicks swung a blockbuster trade for O.G. Annouby. A move they have been pursuing since the summer, the Knicks sent Immanuel Quickley and Barrett to Toronto. Annouby was averaging 15 points this season and serves as a solid starting small forward in New York. However, he’s not the “star power” that championship-hungry fans like Smith are looking for. It’s also a move that Smith has been less than enthusiastic about.
