Birdman & NBA YoungBoy Drop Joint Mixtape “From The Bayou”

This is an anticipated project that has been a long time coming, but a few setbacks have kept it from reaching fans. Birdman recently surprised the world by announcing that he and NBA YoungBoy would be dropping their joint mixtape, From the Bayou. The YMCMB icon has long praised YoungBoy and teased that they were continuing their working relationship. Now, the pair have shared their 13-track mixtape after a previous pump-fake release.

Earlier this year, Birdman stated that he believed YoungBoy would become “the biggest rapper ever” while visiting the Big Facts Podcast. “Ain’t no n*gga gone be bigger than NBA YoungBoy, numbers don’t lie, he’s the biggest YouTube artist and he behind the wall,” said Birdman. This was, of course, before YoungBoy’s YouTube was wiped clean. He believes that once YoungBoy gets over this season of personal issues, he’ll be poised for a mainstream takeover.

Jim Jones Taps Migos For “We Set Trends” Single

New York City and Atlanta collide on this unlikely collaboration between Jim Jones and Migos. The Dipset rapper has been a busy man as he is not only readying the release of the Nick Cannon-produced holiday feature Miracles Across 125th Street, Jones has also been grinding with DJ Drama on their Gangsta Grillz mixtape, We Set Trendz. The rapper teased the project weeks ago and some thought that Migos may be making an appearance after Jones joked that he almost got into trouble after breaking curfew to gamble with Offset.

On Friday (December 10), Jones delivered his Migos-assisted “We Set Trends” single, the title track from his forthcoming project. Many fans have been surprised to hear these rappers collaborate together, but expect to hear much more from Jones switching things up on his next mixtape. Stream “We Set Trends” and let us know your thoughts.

Tory Lanez Is Ashton Rain On ’80s Capsule “Alone At Prom” Ft. Tee

He knows how to set and execute a theme well, and Tory Lanez does not disappoint on his latest, Alone At Prom. The rapper-singer has been teasing the arrival of his latest project for weeks as he’s carefully revealed sneak peeks of the record that pays homage to the 1980s. Although Lanez has legal troubles that continue to haunt him, he has forged ahead with his career fervently, and his fans have stood by him along the way.

In order to execute Alone At Prom the way he visualized, Lanez created a character, Ashton Rain, who acts as an alter ego of sorts.

“Ashton Rain is a mixture of Hall & Oates, Toto, Michael Jackson, Rick James and more,” said Lanez. “The music was so retro and nostalgic that the character had to be created and authenticated through film, picture and music video. Ashton Rain is today’s last hope of getting a full catalog now and later of pure pop, R&B, alternative and 80’s rock music and I’m excited for everyone to hear what I’ve poured my passion into with the Alone At Prom album.”

NBA YoungBoy Shows Off Black & White Makeup Look Once Again

It’s not uncommon for Rock artists to don a little eyeliner or even put on a full face of makeup, but when NBA YoungBoy expressed that he, too, enjoyed the practice, Hip Hop fans bit back. The rapper has been under house arrest in Utah, and while he continues to await the outcome of his looming federal case, YoungBoy has been connecting with the world through Clubhouse.

Earlier this week, the rapper was in a Clubhouse chatroom where he spoke about feeling “comfortable” with wearing makeup because, he said, he felt as if he was able to be himself.

“I like painting my face, putting makeup on,” he said at the time. “I like to look in the mirror and see everything black. Like my eyes and sh*t…  “Just, I don’t know. I feel comfortable that way.” He added that his engineer purchased the items for him from MAC Cosmetics. “It give me like, the goth feeling, like rockstars.”

This evening (December 9), YoungBoy popped up on his sister’s Instagram page and shared new images showing him wearing a full face of black and white makeup. The caption to a post reads, “I don’t care what they think about me #RockPeace.” Some fans are happy that YoungBoy has been expressing himself as he sees fit, while others aren’t as accepting of his new look.

‘Beat Saber’ Adds Hit Songs Like ‘Alejandro’ And ‘Rain On Me’ In Its New Lady Gaga Pack

Beat Saber is one of the best games out there. The VR-only game puts the player in a world where they’re given two beams of light and, with the rhythm of a song, have to swing at blocks that appear before them. The game first exploded in popularity because of how fun it was, but it’s also an excellent form of exercise. These days, a lot of people are trying out Beat Saber because their favorite artists’ music is beginning to appear in the game. We’ve already seen Billie Eilish add her music to Beat Saber, for example.

During The Game Awards on Thursday night, we saw another gigantic name add their music to the game. Lady Gaga will add some of her biggest hits to Beat Saber in the Lady Gaga music pack. Songs like “Alejandro,” “Poker Face,” and “Rain On Me” will all be available for the player to jam out. The full list of songs include:

  • Alejandro
  • Bad Romance
  • Born This Way
  • Just Dance (feat. Colby O’Donis)
  • Paparazzi
  • Poker Face
  • Rain On Me (with Ariana Grande)
  • Stupid Love
  • Telephone (feat. Beyoncé)
  • The Edge of Glory

Beat Saber and this music pack are available on both the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift. The pack itself will cost $12.99 but anyone who wants to get an individual song can do so for $1.99.

Dr. Dre & Nicole Young Are “Divorced AF” After Long Legal Battle: Report

After a long, arduous process, it looks as if Dr. Dre is officially a single man. The divorce between the Aftermath mogul and his ex-wife Nicole Young has been played out for the public in excruciating detail as the world was offered a rare glimpse into their marriage. The pair had been together for over two decades and in June 2020, Nicole filed for divorce.

Soon, the unraveling of allegations began to make headlines as she accused her ex-husband of physical abuse, something that Dr. Dre has adamantly denied.

Information from legal proceedings and documents would also make their way online as the public debated Nicole’s request for Dre to pay her $2 million in spousal support. He wanted to be declared legally single as their divorce dragged on, but it looks as if Dre is celebrating the end of this era of his marriage.

Breyon Prescott uploaded an image of Dr. Dre sitting in front of balloon decorations that read “Divorced AF,” and the Rap icon is seen sporting a wide smile. In the caption, Prescott added, “Hey Well My Brother @drdre Just Told Me It’s Final !!! Congrats [champagne emoji] Still Dre [goat emoji][strong arm emoji].””

We’re not sure how the billionaire mogul will celebrate, but we’re sure it will be in style. Check out the post below.
