Yung Joc Says It’s “Very Common” For Men & Women To Have Sex For Beats

There have been plenty of rumors floating about what goes down in the studio, and Yung Joc is giving some insight. The Rap icon sat down for another extensive interview with VladTV, and during the chat, Ashanti’s recent story about a run-in with a producer was a topic of conversation. Last month, the singer went viral following comments she made about a predatory producer.

While on The Breakfast Club, Ashanti shared her tale. “We did two records together. He was like, ‘Okay, I’m not gonna charge you, you know you my homie,’” she said. “When it came time to put it on the album, he was like, ‘Well, let’s take a shower together.’”

Ashanti didn’t name names and noted that after a few people contacted the producer on her behalf, he made things right. Joc wanted to know if she was referring to Irv Gotti. After it was confirmed that he wasn’t the man in question, the rapper suggested all anyone needed to do was look at Ashanti’s catalog to match the year with her releases.

DJ Akademiks was also mentioned because he publicly criticized Ashanti for allegedly not helping other women by sharing the producer’s name.

“Everybody’s not messy,” said Joc of Akademiks’s call out.

“When people are disgruntled or no longer in your circle, that’s what they do. They expose your hand, or they’ll put stuff out there on you. They’ll weaponize whatever they know, secrets against you,” he continued.

Elsewhere, Joc said it’s “very common” for people to have sex “for beats.”

“A lotta women be like…men too! Let’s be for real,” the rapper added. “Men, too!… Oh, so, you think just ’cause they men? You gon’ play that naive? It’s male producers out here that will do something, probably, I’m sure.”

This one should open up a can of worms. Check out what else Yung Joc had to say about the subject above.

Erica Banks Takes On Yung Joc’s “It’s Goin Down” On New Freestyle

Erica Banks is coming through 2023 swinging. Following a highly productive year in 2022, she came through with brand new heat today. The Texas rapper shared her freestyle over Yung Joc’s “It’s Goin Down” this morning. Off the rip, Banks makes it clear that she’s gunning for the top. “Bitch, you know who I am/ Ain’t no bitches holdin’ me,” she declares as the beat kicks in. Then, she asserts herself as a leading lady in the rap game right now, whether or not anyone agrees with that sentiment.

At this point, Yung Joc hasn’t responded to Erica Banks’ remix of his record. However, she’s just one of a few who’ve paid homage to him recently. Just before 2022 ended, DaBaby released “Joc In 06,” which interpolates lyrics from “It’s Goin’ Down.”

Erica Banks is still on a roll, two years after the success of “Buss It.” Last year, she shared her new project, Diary Of The Flow Queen. The 13-song project, released via 1501 Certified Entertainment, was an exemplary showcase of her versatility. At the same time, she connected with artists like Bankroll Freddie and DreamDoll, proving that she could hold her own.

Hopefully, the release of her latest remix is an indication that she has more heat in the pipeline this year.

Check out Erica Banks’ remix of Yung Joc’s “It’s Goin Down” below. Do you think she did the beat justice? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. Perhaps, this changes Yung Joc’s stance on the trajectory of female rap in 2023.

Quotable Lyrics
Some n***as hate that I’m the flow queen, they wanna see you take it
I know some hoes who be for real and I know hoes who love to fake it
I can’t argue with no hoe that carry purses that be vacant

Yung Joc is owning up to his bet. Before court proceedings in Tory Lanez’s trial kicked off, Joc stated if the Canadian rapper were convicted, he would shave his head. After Lanez was found guilty on all charges, Joc owned up to it.

Joc’s head was shaven by his fellow Morning Takeover host Shyneka.

“I’ma just say this, okay? I made a bet with Shyneka and Shawty Shawty on my morning show that if Tory is found guilty, I’ll shave my head,” Joc said during a visit to Vlad TV. “I’ll shave my whole head bald. I told Shyneka if Tory innocent, she gotta come to work with the braids that be under the weave. Can’t get them fresh, I need the weave patted down braids, the Beyoncé pat my weave braids. She gotta come to work like that.”

You can see a fresh-shaven Joc below.

Yung Joc Shaves His Head Following Tory Lanez Guilty Verdict

The world is continuing to react to Tory Lanez being found guilty in his trial against Megan thee Stallion late last week.

Unfortunately for Yung Joc, the news caused clips of an interview he gave last week to resurface on social media.

In the clip from an interview with VladTV, the Atlanta native vows to shave his head bald if Lanez is found guilty.

“I’ma just say this, okay? I made a bet with Shyneka and Shawty Shawty on my morning show that if Tory is found guilty, I’ll shave my head. I’ll shave my whole head bald. I told Shyneka if Tory [is] innocent, she gotta come to work with the braids that be under the weave. Can’t get ’em fresh, I need the weave patted down braids, the Beyoncé pat my weave braids. She gotta come to work like that,” he says during the conversation.

“I can’t wait to see how this video turns out. Either way, this is a very unfortunate situation. Just through the eyes of watching it, I don’t ever want anyone to feel like I’m making fun of their situation, ’cause it’s very unfortunate and it’s very bad for our culture, but I pray that this plays out fair,” he clarifies afterwards.

It turns out Yung Joc is evidently a man of his word. On Tuesday (December 27), videos began surfacing online of the rapper’s fellow Morning Takeover host, Shyneka, proudly shaving his head.

“This [is] for Meg thee Stallion. This [is] for Meg and Roc Nation,” she exclaims in the footage.

Just a few weeks ago, the “It’s Goin’ Down” rapper was in the headlines following some controversial comments. During a different interview with VladTV, the Atlanta native shares his thoughts on the current state of females in the rap game.

“It’s already hard for women to find their place anyway. Even now, you got all these female rappers. Let’s give it another 180 days. Let’s give it to this time next year and let’s see if we got this many female rappers that’s buzzing. I bet you it won’t,” he says explicitly.

Yung Joc Pledged To Shave Head If Tory Lanez Found Guilty

Tory Lanez’s guilty verdict spread all over social media for the last couple of hours, with reactions and comments galore. However, some of those came from Internet sleuths who, for whatever reason, can’t let someone live a bet down. Clips resurfaced of an interview between DJ Vlad and Yung Joc, where the 40-year-old rapper said he’d shave his head if Tory was guilty. Well, the time has come, and many went back to the interview to show Joc those receipts.

Despite jokes around the foretold shave, the Atlanta MC will go through with it. In the Shade Room post that contained the interview clip in question, DJ Vlad commented with that confirmation. “Just confirmed he’s going to shave his head,” he wrote in the comments.

“If Tory is found guilty,” Joc said, “I’ll shave my head. I’ll shave my whole head bald.”

“Are you serious?” the media host inquired, to which Joc responded with a decisive “Yes.”

Interestingly enough, this isn’t Yung Joc’s first strange encounter with a new hairstyle. Moreover, he got a spray-on beard and people clowned him for it last year. Still, that time around, he took it quite well, using Boosie’s famous line of “Put your face on Live for $1,000.” However, back in 2019, he had some crazier things going on. The TV personality shaved a 3D portrait of Tupac Shakur on his head, which got stranger but less mocking responses.

However, this time, people bombarded him with requests, comments, dares, and more and more people online asking him about the bet. Joc is having fun with it, though, as he’s posted a few funny memes and references to the shave on his IG story. Some are reposts of other people, others are the clips of his bet themselves, and a few are just random memes he made or liked. Even if the bet didn’t go his way, at least he’s making light of his controversial support.
