So what I did was to get ’em out off me, I said, ‘Thug did this. Thug did that. Thug,’ because I knew they were—I knew he didn’t do it.”

The man questioning Woody begins by explaining that two detectives on the case have never even heard of “Lil Mike” and “Quez.” He continues: “Mr. Copeland, Lil Mike is not a real person is he?” to which Woody admits, “No.” From there he adds: “You invented a person out of thin air correct?” which Woody also confirmed. “You invented those people to take the heat off of you and put it on fictional character,” he concludes.

Lil Woody Claims Prosecutors Almost Got On Their Knees To Get Him To Testify

Lil Woody says that prosecutors were ready to get on their knees in an effort to beg him to testify. He made the comments in jail calls that were played for the jury in court on Wednesday as Woody continues to testify in the ongoing YSL RICO case. When Young Thug’s attorney Brian Steel asked who specifically he was referring to, Woody remarked, “Ms. Love.” He appeared to be referencing Assistant Chief District Attorney Adriane Love. A clip of the moment is going viral on social media.

“I just wonder who is going to play Steel in the movie,” one fan on X (formerly Twitter) wrote in response. Another added: “Wait them grabbing him when he posta be in court ain’t that messing with his due process??” One more defended Woody: “This is fabulous, but I’m worried about Woody being targeted in a big way by Love at this point. You know she’s plotting.”

YSL RICO Trial: Lil Woody Tries To Get Young Thug’s Lawyer To Say The N-Word

Lil Woody seemingly tried to bait Young Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, into saying the n-word while testifying during the YSL RICO trial on Tuesday. While Steel was reading a quote to Woody, he asked him for clarification on what he meant by “N.” Steel began to spell the word in an attempt to explain but stopped short of laying the entire spelling.

In response to the clip going viral on social media, fans have been having plenty of laughs. “Steel’s too honorable to even spell it [laughing emojis] hesitated on that second g, didn’t even get to the a,” one user remarked. Others joked they wouldn’t have a problem with Steel if he had fallen for it. “I’m gonna go on a limb and say Thug has given Brian a pass AND he’s invited to all the cook outs til the end of time,” one fan wrote. Another agreed: “The Day he took his tie and jacket off and asked if he could do his 20 days in a cell with his client, is the day I would have given him a pass.”

The viral moment is just one of many Woody has had during his time on the stand. Earlier this month, he caused a stir by admitting his previous comments on Thug from 2015 were entirely made up. “The police kept locking me up for whatever they could,” he said. “Every time I counted the door, the police was on me, and they keep bringing up Thug’s name. So what I did was to get ’em out off me, I said, ‘Thug did this. Thug did that. Thug,’ because I knew they were—I knew he didn’t do it.”

J Prince Goes After Lil Woody & YSL Prosecutor In Scathing IG Post

J Prince called out Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Simone Hylton as well as Lil Woody while sharing a clip from the YSL RICO trial on Instagram on Monday night. In the video, Hylton asked Woody whether he recalled comparing Young Thug to J Prince. The witness claimed he didn’t know who that actually was and brought up his previous admission about lying to police about the rapper back in 2015. “I told you for the 10th time,” he stated, as caught by AllHipHop. “I’m gonna tell the police anything, and that’s what I did.”

“Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to fake-ass people putting my name in their mouth,” Prince captioned his post. “But I still find it very interesting how some prosecutors will go above and beyond the call of duty to try and destroy a man’s life for being inspired by a successful Black entrepreneur like myself. Btw, Black-on-Black racism feels the worst.” He concluded with the hashtag, “#FreeYoungThug.”

As for Woody’s remarks about lying, he made the admission previously during another day on the stand.

[WATCH] YSL RICO Trial: Young Thug Burts Into Laughter In Courtroom Following Comment From His Lawyer

Screenshot 2024 08 21 at 6.07.27 PM

In the ongoing fiasco of the YSL RICO trial in Atlanta, another courtroom debacle occurred during Young Thug’s RICo trial yesterday, with the Young Slime Life head honcho laughing so hard at his lawyer’s comment, that his amusement almost couldn’t be contained.

During the trial, as seen on livestream, Thug’s attorney Brian Steel used a metaphor to describe him not being allowed to see the prosecution’s evidence, saying, “This is all to me like I have a bag over my head and getting smashed with a baseball bat and I have no idea where to hit. I don’t have anything. I have asked for reports.”

Halfway through Steel’s commentary, Young Thug exploded into laughter and had to cover his mouth to quiet his unexpected outburst.

Obviously, the changing of the guard from Judge Ural Glanville to Judge Paige Reese Whitaker still didn’t cease the shenanigans in the courtroom and the colorful testimony of Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland, who admitted to lying under oath to the prosecution, is proof.

“Like I told you before y’all called me to trial, I have lied,” he testified. “I made things up. I told you this before y’all brought me in this courtroom, and I’m telling you now. You asked me about 2015. I had got my life together. Y’all are trying to put this on my conscience, y’all are trying to put people’s lives in my hands.”

He added, “I don’t wanna be here. Y’all have pressured me, I’m tired of y’all, cause y’all know y’all wrong, and y’all Black people doing this to us.”

Yak Gotti’s Lawyers Have A Unique Idea To Speed Up “Arduous” Trial

Yak Gotti’s legal team has submitted a motion requesting that the judge in the YSL RICO case implement a time limit on the state’s case as the trial continues to drag on. In doing so, they argued that the prosecution has been unprepared and inefficient in the presentation of its evidence.

The motion begins: “As this Court has broad discretion to exercise reasonable control over the presentation of witnesses and evidence, the Court should use that discretion to prevent this trial from stretching indefinitely and beyond the reaches of time due to the State’s unpreparedness and inefficiency, and presentation of cumulative evidence causing undue delay, poor decision making by the jury, as well as harm to Kendrick and other Defendants. Simply put, the Court should put a reasonable time limit, or clock, on the remainder of the State’s case.” From there, it describes the trial as an “arduous, tedious journey.”

The motion comes as the state still has 100 witnesses left to call and the trial is already the longest-running in Georgia’s history. YSL (Young Slime Life) is accused of being a criminal street gang responsible for numerous crimes including murder. Earlier this month, former President Donald Trump expressed his interest in the case, agreeing with Adin Ross that district attorney Fani Willis is treating Young Thug unfairly. “I heard that actually,” Trump responded to Ross during their stream together. “So, I’ve heard about him and I’ve heard he’s being treated very unfairly by her [Willis] and I would tell her she’s gotta treat these patriots that are being all– it’s terrible. They’re going after them.” He concluded: “He’s gotta be treated fairly.”

TI Shouts Out Young Thug On His Birthday Amid Possible Dismissal Of YSL RICO Case

T.I. is one of many hip-hop figures advocating for Young Thug’s release amid the chaotic and controversial YSL RICO case. Recently, the Atlanta trap legend sent one of his torch-bearers some birthday well-wishes for Thugger’s 33rd trip around the Sun via his Instagram page. Not only that, but Tip’s comments predicting that the case might be over soon could actually turn out to be prophetic. Fani Willis’ Republican opponent for the Fulton County District Attorney race this year promised to dismiss the case if elected. While this is just a hypothetical situation, it did raise a lot of questions around whether or not this case will conclude with a verdict or with mistrials.

“Happy Birthday 2 my brother 4L King Spyda / Super Slizzy / Mr. Cleveland Ave / Thugga Thugga / The Iconic Prolific Legend himself Lil Jeff,” T.I. expressed to Young Thug. “Keep standing solid & Stay strong homie. Every storm will run out of rain & I can see a major comeback happening‼ Can’t wait for u 2 touch back down so you can go put that ugggla** s**t on and I can send yo musty a** back to da dressing room wit that cheap ass bulls**t u be wearing…. T.I.’s Birthday Message To Young Thug

Furthermore, T.I.’s message comes amid a lot of other birthday messages and initiatives for Young Thug, including an adorable video starring his kids to promote the SP5DER brand. Also, plenty of recent updates in the YSL RICO case threw viewers for a loop. Amid Lil Woody’s wild testimonies and various judge changes, there’s a lot to wade through and many elements to consider. Hopefully this all starts clearing up soon and we can see some more consistent, fair, and effective trial progress.

Meanwhile, one of Young Thug’s closest associates, Gunna, also wished him a happy birthday recently. This interested many fans because it added onto a lot of speculation around whether or not Wunna snitched on YSL and what their relationship looks like now. Although all signs point to the conclusion that they’re still cool, some fans still want a stronger conclusion. We’ll see if the near future holds anything important in that regard.

Young Thug Trial: Republican D.A. Candidate Promises To Free Rapper If Elected

Young Thug has been behind bars for over two years now on RICO charges. Unfortunately, the hitmaker’s legal battle doesn’t show any signs of coming to an end. His trial began in November of last year and is still underway. Of course, this has left all involved feeling as jaded as ever. It’s become the longest trial in Georgia’s state history, and today, the rapper spent his 33rd birthday in prison.

Now, however, republican Fulton County DA candidate Courtney Kramer is promising to dismiss the case if elected. In a letter shared on X today, the former Donald Trump intern expresses outrage over the long-winded legal battle, claiming that ending it will be the first step she takes to “restore justice, transparency, and integrity” to the Office of the District Attorney.

Courtney Kramer Challenges Fani Willis To Dismiss YSL RICO Case And Free Young Thug

“If I am elected as the next District Attorney of Fulton County, I promise to end this prosecution immediately,” the letter reads in part. “I challenge my opponent [Fani Willis] to do the same thing, the right thing, and end this prosecution and release the accused in this case who are being held without bond.” While there are certainly no guarantees here for Young Thug, it’s the first glimmer of hope his fans have seen in a while. The DA election is in November, and Willis has yet to respond to Kramer’s latest challenge.

Kramer’s letter arrived shortly after Trump appeared on Adin Ross’ stream, claiming that Young Thug is being treated unfairly by Willis in his case. “I heard it from other people that he’s being treated unfairly. So, he’s got to be treated fairly,” he told the internet personality. What do you think of Fulton County DA candidate Courtney Kramer promising to end the YSL RICO trial?
