Lawyer Claims YSL Defendant Was Tased In Holding Cell

More information is being shared about Young Thug and Kahlieff Adams’s drug exchange in court. Yesterday (January 20), a video surfaced showing Adams walking past the rapper’s table in court before slipping something into his hand. It was discovered to be a Percocet, and quickly, Adams was searched. It’s reported that he also had marijuana and tobacco products. Adams is also said to have several additional counts added to his charges.

Later, Thug’s attorney said the rapper didn’t know anything about a drug deal in court and didn’t orchestrate anything with Adams.

“Defendant Adams was taken to Grady Hospital after he appeared to ingest other items of contraband that he held on his person, in an effort to conceal the extent of his crimes within the courtroom,” the District Attorneys’ Office wrote in court documents.

A lawyer for another co-defendant also submitted paperwork of their own, and they want a full investigation into the incident. Their version of events slightly differs from what the D.A. shared.

“Shortly after Mr. Adams is taken to the back holding cells,” they wrote. “While in the Courtroom the undersigned Attorney, his client, and several other individuals could hear loud banging and yelling coming from the holding area where Mr. Adams was being held. While the disturbance took place several officers ran into the courtroom and went into the holding area where Mr. Adams was being held.”

It was said that “at least two officers” removed “their belts and firearms” before rushing into the holding area. The lawyer called the sound “distressing,” and when Adams’s attorney asked to check on her client, she was denied. Following the incident, “all Defendants were removed from the Court room.”

“According to the State Mr. Adams was transported to Hospital because he allegedly ingested the contraband, however upon information and belief, Mr. Adams was also transported because he needed medical assistance after being tased several times by officers.”

The lawyer accused prosecutors of polluting the narrative of what happened. It is unclear if Young Thug will face additional charges.

Young Thug’s Alleged Courtroom Drug Deal Video Has Twitter Questioning Everything

Young Thug has spent the majority of the last year behind bars. Ahead of the YSL RICO trial’s official start earlier this month, several of his co-defendants (including Gunna) copped plea deals for themselves. This leaves the label’s head to face the music from the judge chiefly on his own. Unfortunately, a recent courtroom incident has left some speculating on whether the So Much Fun hitmaker will walk away as a free man.

On Thursday (January 19), footage accordingly began circulating online showing co-defendant Kahlieff Adams hand-delivering a Percocet pill to Thugger. As Complex reports, a deputy subsequently took note of the transfer. He promptly confronted the rapper, who evidently didn’t hesitate to hand over the pill.

Afterward, Adams underwent a search for other drugs. Authorities uncovered more Percocet pills, as well as marijuana and tobacco. The latter two were earlier “wrapped in plastic and food seasonings to conceal the odour.”

It’s also been said that the same co-defendant ingested additional contraband in an effort to conceal it. Officers brought him to Grady Hospital, and prosecutors filed a motion asking the court to “make a finding of fact that Court was delayed on January 18, 2023, because of the actions of Defendant Williams and Defendant Adams.”

Young Thug’s lawyer, Keith Adams, has since shared a statement on his client’s behalf. “The reality is Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom yesterday,” the attorney later told the media. “One of the co-defendants, on his way to the restroom, attempted to pass something to Mr. Williams, who immediately turned it over to the deputy. Did not know what it was, turned it over to the deputy right away.”

Of course, the footage of the courtroom drama has the internet asking all kinds of questions. While some are convinced that the Atlanta-based artist is a part of a set-up, others believe he may actually be enjoying his time in jail.

“This man Young Thug got caught being passed a perc IN COURT,” one person specifically wrote. “At some time we must revisit the whole ‘Free You’ rhetoric and change it to ‘Wish You The Best, Hope You Learn.’”

Others chimed in with funny reaction videos displaying how they believe interactions between the rapper and his lawyers may have gone earlier this week.

Video Allegedly Shows Young Thug Being Handed Drugs While In Court

Young Thug Makes First Court Appearance in Months

Ahead of his RICO trial, Young Thug might be running into some more legal issues.

According to WSBTV, a courtroom video allegedly shows Young Thug being handed drugs while inside a courtroom. WSBTV reporter Michael Seiden shared the video of the alleged drug trade on his Twitter.

In the video, you can see the alleged trade between Young Thug and co-defendant Kahlieff Adams. Adams comes up to Thugger, who is seated and shakes his hand. That was apparently when Adams gave the drug, later discovered to be a Percocet, to Thug.

Authorities caught the act and went to Young Thug, who immediately handed the Percocet over and searched Adams for more drugs. They apparently found more Percocets, weed, and tobacco on Adams who sealed them in plastic and food seasoning to conceal the smell. Adams apparently tried to swallow some of the contraband and was taken to a hospital.

After the incident, prosecutors filed a motion to ask the court to “make a finding that Court was delayed” because of the actions of Young Thug and Adams.

However, Young Thug’s attorney, Keith Adams, said that his client was not involved in the co-defendants actions.

“The reality is Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom…yesterday,”  he stated, as seen below. “One of the co-defendants, on his way to the restroom, attempted to pass something to Mr. Williams, who immediately turned it over to the deputy. … Did not know what it was, turned it over to the deputy right away.”

Young Thug Is Now Being Accused By Prosecutors Of Doing A ‘Hand-To-Hand’ Drug Deal During His Trial

During Young Thug’s court trial, a new thread by reporter Michael Seiden details how his coworker, Mark Winne, obtained footage from when the prosecutors accuse Thug and co-defendant Kahlieff Adams of doing a “hand-to-hand” drug deal.

According to prosecutors, the surveillance shows Adams drop an alleged Percocet in Young Thug’s hands. The rapper was eventually confronted by the deputy and turned the pill over.

While the video cuts off as Young Thug sits back down in the courtoom, the co-defendant Kahlieff Adams allegedly ingested “other items of contraband,” according to Seiden. Because of this, he was taken to Grady Hospital. The prosecutors have since filed to “make a finding of fact that Court was delayed on January 18, 2023 because of the actions of Defendant Williams and Defendant Adams.”

Young Thug’s (born Jeffery Lamar Williams) attorney, Keith Adams, shared more insight into what went down. “Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom yesterday,” Keith Adams shared. “One of the co-defendants, on his way to the restroom, attempted to pass something to Mr. Williams, who immediately turned it over to the deputy.”

The reporter in the video then asks if he knew it was allegedly Percocet.

“He did not know,” Adams adds. “We don’t know what it is. He did not know what it was, turned it over to the deputy right away. The deputies took action. The individual who had the contraband, not Mr. Williams, was taken into the back, where I’m told he ingested whatever he had.”

While the court is still in the jury selection process, Young Thug has been charged “with conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act and participating in a criminal street gang,” according to NPR.

Young Thug Accused Of Receiving Drugs From Co-Defendant In Court

The YSL Rico case has enough drama already, but this latest update could spell more trouble for Young Thug. Jury selection for the case involving 14 co-defendants is underway, and as information about the vetting process has surfaced, so has a new report about Thugger allegedly engaging in a drug deal in the middle of a hearing.

This seems far-fetched, but according to prosecutors, the ordeal was captured by court security cameras. WSB-TV‘s Michael Seiden shared updates, and the video footage, to Twitter.

“My colleague @MarkWinneWSB just obtained surveillance video that shows the moment prosecutors accuse Young Thug and his co defendant Kahlieff Adams of conducting a ‘hand-to-hand’ drug deal in court,” Seiden tweeted.

“Prosecutors say the surveillance shows Adams walk over to where Young Thug is seated with his attorney,” he continued. “And then drop a Percocet in his hand. A deputy confronts Young Thug and he turns over the pill to authorities.”

Additionally, when a deputy searched Adams, he was found with more contraband.

“They found him in possession of Percocet, marijuana and tobacco wrapped in plastic and food seasonings to conceal the odor of weed, according to investigators,” Seiden also shared.

It was further stated that Adams attempted to conceal the remaining contraband by ingesting it. He was rushed to a local hospital.

Meanwhile, Young Thug’s attorney, Keith Adams, spoke with the press about the allegations. According to him, his client didn’t know of his co-defendant’s plans. Check that out below.

YSL Rapper Yak Gotti’s Mother Was Arrested For Trying Sneak Him Contraband In Court

As the racketeering trial against Atlanta’s YSL crew gears up, another arrest has been made — but not connected with the original 56-count indictment that has Young Thug facing a massive sentence and fans calling Gunna a snitch. Latasha Kendrick, the mother of YSL rapper Yak Gotti, was arrested on Tuesday (January 17) and charged with a criminal attempt to commit a misdemeanor after trying to pass the rapper a bag reportedly filled with tobacco and rolling papers at the Fulton County Courthouse.

WSB-TV reports that the mother of Gotti’s child, Nyesha Cox, alerted the rapper’s attorney to the contraband. Kendrick alleges that Cox was the one who requested the bag and an arrest warrant has been issued for the younger woman as well.

Gotti is one of 14 remaining defendants in the case and faces charges including conspiracy to commit murder, theft by receiving stolen property, and participation in criminal street gang activity. Other defendants include YSL founder Young Thug, who is charged with possession of illegal firearms and drugs, while other YSL members like Gunna and Unfoonk have accepted plea deals that suspended any sentences and allowed them to go free ahead of the trial.

The trial is expected to last up to six months, with the Fulton County District Attorney’s office accusing YSL of being a “hybrid street gang” rather than just a record label.

YSL Case: Yak Gotti’s Mom Charged For Sneaking In Tobacco Products

An update has been given about the YSL case involving Young Thug and 13 of his co-defendants—one being Yak Gotti. Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Jozsef Papp previously stated that Judge Glanville announced an investigation was launched after someone attempted to smuggle contraband to one of the defendants. Today (January 19), WSB-TV identified the individual as Yak Gotti’s mother.

The outlet stated that 51-year-old Latasha Kendrick was arrested and booked into the Fulton County jail. She has also been charged with criminal attempt to commit a misdemeanor.

Gotti, real name Deamonte Kendrick, is facing several charges that also include a 2015 murder.

It’s alleged that the rapper’s mother visited the courthouse while her son was in court during jury selection for the trial. Douglas Weinstein, Gotti’s attorney, alerted a deputy that the mother of the rapper’s child, Nyesha Cox, texted him to say she put a “sealed envelope inside the bag.”

Upon searching, deputies located the item in question. Inside, they reportedly found “tobacco rolling papers and tobacco products.”

Further, Latasha denied knowing anything about the envelope. She said she was simply delivering the on behalf of Cox. According to reports, Cox has not yet been arrested, but a warrant has been issued.

Meanwhile, the trial has kicked off with a lengthy jury selection process. It was reported that approximately 600 people were vetted for the jury, and it hasn’t been pleasant for all candidates.

One woman was said to have skipped a hearing because she took a trip to the Dominican Republic. As a punishment, in lieu of jail time, the judge also ordered her to write a 30-page essay.

Additionally, Eight co-defendants, including Gunna, have been released after agreeing to plea deals.
