Ice Spice Joins The Gaming World As “Fortnite” Playable Character With Skins, Zones & Weapons

Ice Spice is one of a couple of rappers joining Fortnite Battle Royale‘s Chapter 2 remix, with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Juice WRLD coming soon with their own playable skins, map zones, challenges, weapons, and much more. But the Bronx femcee is keeping things going as of Thursday (November 14) after Tha Doggfather kicked them off. The in-game location Shark Island is now Ice Isle, and its abandoned shopping mall is now covered in a Y2K! aesthetic. Her Grappler and Rifle are now available along with two skins based on her “Deli” and “Fisherrr (Remix)” music video outfits, respectively.

“I’m most excited to see how happy my fans are that they get to use my skins and just grateful to stand next to icons,” Ice Spice stated to Billboard. “I have a bunch of younger siblings that play the game and [I] also get to have big sister cool points.” “Not yet,” the “In Ha Mood” rapper answered when asked if she had the chance to try her in-game contributions out. “But I am excited to as soon as I wrap up tour. She’s super cute and I love her looks. […] I grew up playing on consoles like the Wii and Nintendo. I’m obviously a huge Super Mario fan.” Check out gameplay footage of these new drops down below.

Ice Spice’s Fortnite Debut

Of course, we know that Ice Spice is a big media consumer and a fan of all things style, so this Fortnite collab and the skins for it should come as no surprise. In fact, she often fuses these interests in other ways that go beyond the video game world, showing love to an iconic ’90s movie for her Halloween costume.

As such, seeing Ice Spice switch things up for this Fortnite team-up is a treat, and we wonder what else she has in store. With evolving looks and new fashion choices, her closet and style repertoire could probably make for more than a few skins for the video game. But what players care about most is the actual in-game experience. Let’s see how Ice Isle and the other gameplay elements stack up.

Eminem, Ice Spice, Snoop Dogg & Juice WRLD Join Fortnite’s “Chapter 2” Remix For New Season

Fortnite has plenty of music collabs under their belt, so it’s no surprise the Battle Royale video game sensation continues to go all out for its crossover of dedicated players and music fans. Moreover, they just announced the launch of their Chapter 2 Remix for their new season on Friday (November 1), in collaboration with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, and presumably the late Juice WRLD’s estate, which reportedly went live today (Saturday, November 2). Each hip-hop artist will have themed gameplay locations, skins, and other gameplay elements. Overall, it seems like a pretty thorough and engaging effort that will surely make fans lock in even more.

In fact, Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice hit the New York City streets this week to promote this new Fortnite collab, fresh off the former announcing his Missionary album’s release date. In Times Square, they offered a surprise performance of their biggest hits individually, and then united onstage to reveal the Chapter 2 Remix trailer, which you can check out down below. It previewed the worlds that these artists will be a part of, and Tha Doggfather will kick off this first week as the game’s sixth season’s main face.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix Trailer

For those curious, Snoop Dogg will be an in-game boss in Fortnite, complete with a unique weapon, and then Eminem (maybe Slim Shady?), Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD will follow. “My son Cordell’s a big Fortnite player with me, so when we had the opportunity we jumped on it as a new way to connect with my sound and style,” Snoop stated via a press release. “Anyone can be Snoop in Fortnite.” Juice will lead week four, and on November 30 at 2PM EST, the game will launch the Remix: The Finale live in-game event to celebrate his legacy, along with an exclusive skin for players that log in that day.

“You will see some really interesting ways of integrating music,” the director of strategic partnerships at Fortnite‘s Epic Games, Emily Levy, remarked to Billboard. “And we are debuting music at different points of the season in interesting places.” Where we dropping… Or is that meme dead already?

Drake Fan Creates “Family Matters” Game In Retaliation To “Not Like Us” Flash Creation

Overall, the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef has been over for a while now. This is mostly because a winner has been declared. The consensus is that Kendrick came through with the win. However, some Drake fans are holding onto the idea that their guy actually was victorious. This has led to plenty social media meltdowns from the OVO-vengers side of things. Regardless, you have to give the Drake stans credit for being so consistent and downright persistent at times.

A great example of this is how just a couple of weeks ago, some Kendrick Lamar fans created a “Not Like Us” video game. It was a Flash game in which you played as Kendrick who could be seen whacking away at Drake-related items. Well, a new version of the game has been created although this time around, it is a “Family Matters” game. The object of this game is to shoot a Grammy into Kendrick’s mouth whenever he opens up.

Drake Fans Are Getting Creative

This is a reference to the infamous lyric “Kendrick just opened his mouth, somebody give him a Grammy right now.” It was one of those lyrics that many found humorous, although others thought it was Drake showcasing his jealousy. Whatever the case may be, you cannot deny that Drake fans work extremely hard, regardless of the circumstances. Only time will tell whether or not this beef inspires more video games.

Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that Drake fans are doing a bit too much here? What do you make of the Drake and Kendrick beef now that it has been over three months since it all took place? Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Video Game Has Taken Over The Internet

“Not Like Us” has legs. There’s been online discourse about whether the song is played out, but the results speak for themselves. Kendrick Lamar’s diss has returned to the top of the Billboard charts after the release of the iconic music video. Better still, the music video inspired graphic designer Richard Branson to create a video game inspired by one of its most viral moments. Now you too can destroy Drake’s OVO owls with a stick.

Branson posted a link to the “Not Like Us” video game on July 15. The game is free to play. The graphic designer made it clear that he was not aiming to profit from the song. “This game is a free love letter to video games and hip-hop,” Branson wrote within the game’s credits. The aim of the game is to hit as many owls as possible with a piñata stick. The premise was inspired by the piñata scene in the “Not Like Us” video. Kendrick Lamar takes down an owl meant to be satirizing Drake’s logo. The text: “No OVHoes were harmed in the making of this video” is placed underneath him. No such text appears in the game, but the sense of fun certainly carries over.

The Kendrick Lamar-Inspired Game Is Free To Play

The “Not Like Us” game spread like wildfire online. Fans took to posting their results on social media. Some even broke down which levels were most difficult to play. The video game could not have come at a better time. “Not Like Us” topped the Billboard Hot 100 upon its release in May. It spent the next eight weeks shifting between spots 2 and 6, before settling at number 3. Impressively, however, the song shot back up to number one over Fourth of July. This is first time Kendrick Lamar has landed a multi-week number one as a solo artist.

The song is so inextricable from its target, that any attempts to recontextualize it have backfired. Lil Wayne tried to flip the meaning of the song during a recent Las Vegas performance. It did not work. Fans were confused by Weezy F. Baby’s decision to play a Kendrick Lamar song. Many took the rapper to task for riding with Lamar over Drake, when he was trying to communicate the exact opposite. Lamar keeps winning, and Drake, well, doesn’t.

Doja Cat Enraged With “Fortnite” & Its Developers Are Responding Accordingly

Doja Cat is of course known for her musical talents, but she is also a huge video game nerd. The California native streams on Twitch occasionally, and one of her favorites at the moment is Fortnite. The battle royale game, which launched in late 2017, grew immensely fast, thanks to Ninja mainly. The multiplayer title is always bringing new updates, DLCs, and loads of in-game concert events. As you can probably surmise, not all of the changes are welcomed by everyone. Lately, Doja Cat has not enjoyed her recent sessions on Fortnite, as a series of rageful posts on X suggests.

According to AllHipHop, Doja is having major issues with a weapon, the Chains of Hades, and the Water Bending ability. “FORTNITE WOULDN’T BE SO F***ING EMBARRASSING IF THEY MADE LOBBIES WHERE PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL AIM SKILLS AND FPS EXPERIENCE DIDN’T DEAL WITH LOSERS USING F***ING WATER BENDING AND CHAINS OF HADES.” Doja did not stop there though. “WATER BENDING IS A F***ING CRUTCH YOU ARE NOT GOOD AT THE GAME BECAUSE OF WATER BENDING, I WOULD BECOME SEVERELY DEPRESSED IF I HAD TO RELY ON ANY OF THESE STUPID NON F***ING WEAPONS.”

Doja Cat Lets Fortnite Developers Hear It

With one an important player venting their frustrations, developers at Fortnite were bound to come across it one way or another. Sure enough, that turned out to be the case. A report from Dexerto says that Epic removed the overpowered weapon shortly after Doja’s tweets. The Chain of Hades was brought out during the beginning of Chapter 5 Season 2 and it is out of the game for the current season.

What are your thoughts on Doja Cat getting furious with certain gaming mechanics in Fortnite? Do you share the rapper’s sentiments, or is she overreacting? What state is the popular battle royale game in right now in your opinion and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Megan Thee Stallion Shares Video Game-Inspired Teaser For New Music

Megan Thee Stallion started off 2024 with a bang. Before Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake became the biggest beef in rap, Megan threw down the gauntlet with her single “HISS.” The track took shots at multiple adversaries who have come out against her over the years, though most fans honed in on just one. Nicki Minaj was singled out as the song’s primary target mostly because of one particularly lethal line about Megan’s Law. When Minaj’s response track was universally panned for lacking any creative comebacks and delivering flat out lies, Megan took a much-deserved victory lap.

But now she seems to be back and gearing up towards releasing new music. She took to Instagram to tease fans with the message “😈🐍🎮 Are you ready to play ?.” The message was attached to two renditions of Megan in classic video game style. She serves up a pair of looks in the likeness of old Playstation fighting games and fans are eating it up. “his eats so bad i’m inspired to change my concert outfit 😭” one of the top comments on the post reads. Other fans feverishly speculate over whether or not either of the pictures are official artwork for Meg’s upcoming album. Check out the post and the variety of reactions to it below.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Fighting Game Artwork

Late last month, Megan Thee Stallion was hit with a lawsuit from a former photographer. It included allegations that Megan forced the photographer to watch her have sex, which she categorically denied. Her lawyer described the filing as a “salacious” money grab and numerous fellow celebs came forward in Megan’s defense. That included 50 Cent who even went as far as to say that her accuser should be punched in the head.

What do you think of the artwork Megan shared of her in the style of classic fighting game box art? Do you think she’s announcing her new album or just teasing fans for the release of another single? Let us know in the comment section below.

“Fallout” TV Series On Prime Video: What We Know

Gamers are not always thrilled when news of a movie or series based on a great game is announced. Usually, it’s because they worry that this film or show could never do the game justice. However, sometimes expectations are desirably met, and most recently, that happened with HBO’s The Last Of Us. Peacock also recently scored a win with Twisted Metal, and now, Prime Video is adapting Fallout for the TV screen.

The post-apocalyptic action game has been a hit among gamers for years. Since its very first installment was released in 1997, gamers have wholeheartedly immersed themselves in the world of Fallout. Now, with this new series, they have the opportunity to do so again. However, this time, the rest of the world will have the opportunity to experience the game’s harsh world on-screen as well. Admittedly, some fans are skeptical, and will probably remain so until they see the show. Nonetheless, the excitement is palpable, especially with the recent release of the show’s trailer. Here’s all we know about the upcoming Fallout TV series.

The Premise Of Fallout

Following the original plot of the game, the Fallout series will tell a post-apocalyptic tale. During a devastating nuclear war in an alternate reality, the Earth is left in terrible shape and almost completely destroyed. However, a number of survivors take refuge in a series of self-contained, technologically enhanced underground shelters known as Vaults. Two centuries later, Lucy, our primary protagonist and a descendant of the original Vault dwellers, emerges from her vault. Subsequently, she ventures into the wasteland, beginning a dangerous and adventurous journey.

Production And Development

The first announcement of a TV adaptation of Fallout was made in July 2020. It was revealed that the series was set to be developed by Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for Amazon Studios. However, fans had no idea how long it would take to get ready or when a release date would be announced. Later, in January 2022, fans received news that Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner had been hired as showrunners. Soon after, actors were cast in roles, and filming began on July 5, 2022.

The Cast

As aforementioned, casting began in 2022. Walton Goggins was the first to bag his role as The Ghoul / Cooper Howard in February 2022. Soon after, in March, Ella Purnell joined the main cast, set to portray Lucy, the primary protagonist. Aaron Moten is also billed as a member of the main cast, and will be playing the character Maximus. Guest and supporting cast members include Kyle MacLachlan, Sarita Choudhury, Matt Berry, Mike Doyle, and Leslie Uggams, among others. Altogether, these actors have been placed with the responsibility of bringing Fallout to life on TV screens.

Trailer And Release Date

While fans were initially worried about the treatment of this show, the trailers have significantly taken the edge off. On December 2, 2023, the teaser trailer was released, introducing viewers to the world of Fallout on TV. Subsequently, on March 7, 2024, the official trailer dropped, giving viewers a longer glimpse of what is to come. In less than 24 hours, the trailer amassed over five million views on YouTube. Evidently, fans are excited, and prepared to experience Fallout on TV for the first time. The series is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on April 11, 2024.

Lil Tecca Says He Wants To Make A Video Game Like “Grand Theft Auto”

Lil Tecca says he wants to make a video game similar to Grand Theft Auto, in which players can interact with any NPC they find on the map. He explained his idea, among various other plans for the new year, during an interview with XXL. The “Ransom” rapper says he also wants to start acting classes and get into film and television.

“After this album, get into film. I want to direct a TV show,” he said. “I’ma start writing up dialogue for that and a timeline. I want to start doing acting classes. I want to create a video game where you could walk up to an NPC and become friends with ’em and be like, ‘Yo, what’s up? Let’s go to the store. Let’s do some crazy sh*t.’ Kind of like Grand Theft Auto, but you could talk to everyone that’s walking around like, they’re not just dormant.”

Rick Ross says that Def Jam is “damn near outta business.” He discussed the state of the iconic music label during a recent interview with Rolling Stone. The outlet asked Ross whether he would be interested in appearing in a new Def Jam: Fight for NY game if one finally gets made.

“I might have to do it. But Def Jam is damn near outta business, so it’ll have to be Maybach Music,” Ross said in the interview. “That was a cool-ass game, yo!” The original Def Jam: Fight for NY released back in 2004 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube and featured the likeness of numerous rappers and other celebrities.
