Britney Spears Allegedly Assaulted By Victor Wembanyama’s Security Guard

According to a report from TMZ, Britney Spears was slapped in the face by a member of Victor Wembanyama’s security team on Wednesday night. The incident reportedly occurred in Vegas at the Catch restaurant at the ARIA Hotel. Reportedly, Spears spotted Wembanyama, who is in Vegas for the NBA Summer League, and went over to get a picture. She allegedly tapped Wembanyama on the back only for the Spurs’ Director of Team Security to slap her across the face. TMZ alleges that the slap was hard enough to send Spears to the ground and knock her glasses off.

Furthermore, Spears allegedly quickly recovered and went inside the restaurant with her husband and entourage. Reportedly, the security guard came over to apologize and allegedly explained that “you understand how it is when you’re being swarmed by fans.” Spears reportedly accepted his apology. However, TMZ also alleges that Spears’ team subsequently filed a police report, alleging battery on the part of the Spurs employee. The San Antonio Spurs are yet to make a statement about the alleged incident.

At the time of writing, none of the parties involved in the alleged incident have released an official statement. The only source is whoever spoke to TMZ. Furthermore, no video evidence of the assault has been released at the time of writing. Similar to Chris Brown’s alleged assault of Usher earlier this year, this is somewhat unusual. Las Vegas is one of the most heavily surveilled cities in the world. Furthermore, this alleged incident occurred in a very public place between two big-name celebrities who were being “swarmed” by fans. That’s not to say this didn’t happen. However, this is a developing story and caution must be exercised.

As things stand, it’s unclear whether this will impact the NBA Summer League, the reason that Wembanyama is in Vegas. The tournament begins on July 7, and is expected to be Wembanyama’s formal debut in a Spurs uniform. If the tournament proceeds unaffected by this alleged incident, Wembanyama will face the Hornets on opening night. However, if this alleged incident does become something bigger, Wembanyama’s Summer League plans may be disrupted given how close he was to the incident. Even though they already broke up, Tyga and Avril Lavigne proved that they can still have a good time together. Moreover, the former couple recently went to a Las Vegas club during the day on Saturday (June 1) and partied together with seemingly no issues. Not only that, but they even shared the stage for a moment at the Encore Beach Club, which is located inside the Wynn Las Vegas. The pop-punk artist performed with Marshmello that day, whereas the Compton rapper performed onstage later that night. Apparently he saw Lavigne’s show from the DJ booth’s VIP section, and they linked up amid smiles and laughs shortly after.

Furthermore, they eventually exited the venue with their respective crew, although Tyga waited for Avril Lavigne to finish taking pictures with fans before doing so. For those unaware, TMZ reported that they split up amicably after deciding that they did everything they could do in the relationship. What made it such a hot-button pairing in pop culture, though, wasn’t just because of the musical crossover. In fact, they went public in March, just a month after she called off her engagement to fellow pop-punk star Mod Sun.

Witness Who Reported Alien Sighting: “I Looked At It In The Eyes”

A Las Vegas family recently reported seeing aliens in their backyard, and they could be on to something. A bodycam on an officer who reported to the scene also inadvertently captured footage of a glowing object falling from the sky. Social media users have been dissecting the footage, and one witness has now spoken out about what they believe to have seen that night.

“I turned around and saw a big light falling from the sky and moments after, I felt a big impact and a bang … when the impact happened, it was like a shockwave,” the unidentified witness describes in a recent YouTube video. They continue, “It was all blurry. Not my vision, only the backyard, and I heard thousands of footsteps around me. A couple seconds later, the footsteps were gone.” “I looked at it in the eyes, and my body just froze like having sleep paralysis,” the witness explains, “He had a weird-looking face, big feet and big shiny eyes and a big mouth. They say at the time, they could “hear its loud, deep breathing and its stomach kept moving. He would just stare at me, and seconds later, I could move again.”

Alien Witness Says Sighting Is “Not A Joke”

The 911 audio from the family’s report has also been shared. “They’re not human. 100 percent they’re not human,” the witness tells the dispatcher. “I swear to god it’s not a joke. It’s actually real.”

Journalist George Knapp, who’s previously worked on other UFO-related stories, shared his thoughts on the report. “Metro police took it seriously,” he says, “The officers who respond to the 911 call interviewed the three witnesses and found them to be sober and credible.” He went on to explain, “They searched the backyard, looked for physical evidence, canvassed the neighborhood for more witnesses, then returned day later for a follow-up.” Knapp seems to be unsure of what went down the night of the report. “We had multiple conversations with the family over the past four weeks and didn’t detect a hint of a hoax. But what really happened? We don’t know.”

James Harden Seen Arguing With Man In Vegas

James Harden is having a perfectly fine NBA playoffs. Aside from an ejection in Game 3 of the Sixers’ first-round series against the Nets, he has been a solid contributor. He’s averaging 17.3 points per game on about 36 minutes a game. Additionally, he is shooting 42.4% from three. The Sixers, who swept the Nets 4-0, are off the court until they meet the Celtics on May 1. That is set to be a much-hyped rivalry series.

However, Harden is still finding ways to grab headlines. Reportedly, Harden took some time off between the sweep and practice to hit up Vegas. That’s where TMZ seemingly caught him up with not being especially chill. Despite this tantalizing lede, things might not be as dramatic as one may be hoping for.

Harden Argues With Entourage Member

According to footage obtained by TMZ, Harden was spotted by a side entrance to The Flamingo at around 1:25am Monday morning. There, passers-by saw Harden arguing with a man. Harden’s voice was described as raised and he was seen angrily gesturing at the man. He also proceeded to tap the man’s chest and smack him in the face. However, once Harden was made aware that people were watching, the pair took the argument inside. There were no further reports of a disturbance from inside the casino, suggesting that the two had resolved whatever issue they were having. The Flamingo is a popular hotspot for athletes. In 2018, an Australian soccer player died there after jumping off the roof while attempting to land in a palm tree.

Nothing appears to have come from the argument. TMZ confirmed that there was no 911 call made and that there were “no incidents involving James Harden reported to the LVMPD.” The incident was likely a minor disagreement between friends coming at the end of a night of drinking and gambling. There is nothing to suggest that the incident was anything more serious than that. However, that was perhaps the result of the witnesses present, who stopped things from escalating further. Ashanti and Nelly performed together in Las Vegas on Sunday at Tao Beach, further fueling rumors that the two are back together. Together, they attended the boxing match between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia, the night beforehand. They were spotted holding hands as they exited the venue following Davis’ seventh-round knockout of Garcia.

As for their performance, a clip posted by Power 106 shows them doing their 2008 collaboration “Body On Me.” “Just making a baby right in front of my eyes,” one user joked on a post of the clip from The Shade Room. Another called on them to get married: “They just need to get married already! Lol we saw u guys at Usher’s show too.”

Other fans brought up Bow Wow’s recent comments on the former couple. “Bow Wow had a point, hopefully these two get married one day… they’re meant to be!!!.” The rapper had written in response to their fight night appearance: “Yo mo! Doja Cat’s ‘Vegas’ Is Not Eligible For An 2023 Oscars Nomination And An Academy Awards Rule Seems To Indicate Why

Doja Cat cracked the top 10 of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart and hit No. 3 on the Radio Songs chart with “Vegas,” her contribution to the Elvis soundtrack, but the song unfortunately will not earn her an Oscar, according to Variety.

“The lead single from the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s Presley biopic, it was written by Doja Cat and producers Roget Chahayed and Yeti Beats, but its interpolation of the Presley classic “Hound Dog” (by Mike Stoller and the late Jerry Lieber) apparently doomed it for consideration,” the publication reported. “Oscar rules demand that both words and music must be ‘original, and written specifically for the motion picture’ and must be the result of ‘creative interaction between the filmmakers and the songwriters who have been engaged to work directly on the motion picture.’”

The same report published today (December 12) relayed that the Tár score has also been disqualified from Oscar contention: “While some sources claimed that the dramatic score exceeded the minimum 35% of total music in the film, as called for by Academy rules, it may have run afoul of another rule that states ‘a score shall not be eligible if it has been diluted by the use of pre-existing music.’”

The track is also one that’s set to appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming film Elvis which is set to premiere in theaters later this month on June 24. With weeks to go until the movie arrives, Doja returns with a vibrant music video for the track. Her feistiness and fierce spirit are on full display as she dismisses her ex-lover. She also passionately dances around an old-style room as she airs out her grievances.

The past month has been a tough one for Doja. She was forced to undergo surgery on her tonsils and it requires months of recovery, which she is still in the midst of. As a result, she had to back out as an opener for The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour later this year. Despite this, some good news would come her way. Doja racked in the most nominations for the upcoming 2022 BET Awards and she helped to bring back Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza which returned to store menus last month.

As for the upcoming Elvis soundtrack, Doja is not the only big name who will contribute to it. Eminem, Denzel Curry, Gary Clark Jr., Jack White, Jazmine Sullivan, Kacey Musgraves, Nardo Wick, Stevie Nicks, Swae Lee and Diplo, Tame Impala, and more will also contribute to the project.

While new music from Doja Cat as a lead artist has yet to arrive in 2022, the rapper has still managed to be absolutely impressive throughout this year’s first four months. She blew everyone away with an excellent set at Coachella last month, so much so that many believed that she should’ve headlined the festival. Prior to that, Doja and SZA won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance thanks to their “Kiss Me More” collaboration. To top it all off, Doja also helped to bring back Taco Bell’s beloved Mexican Pizza, a menu item that fans of the fast-food chain, including Doja herself, have been begging for since late 2020.

Long story short, it’s been a pretty active year for Doja and she continues her streak with her latest single “Vegas.” The track is set to appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming film ELVIS which is set to arrive in theaters next month. On “Vegas,” Doja takes a moment talk down on an old lover who failed to see her true worth. “Had your ass sittin’ first class with your burnt ass out in Abu Dhabi,” she raps with a vengeance. “Could’ve been what we shoulda been but you lost a bet.”

ELVIS, which stars Austin Butler and Tom Hanks, is set to premiere in theaters on June 24th. While it may be a little while until we hear solo work from Doja, she is set to appear on a track called “Happy” from Post Malone’s upcoming album Twelve Carat Toothache.

Doja Cat’s ‘Vegas,’ A New Song She Debuted At Coachella, Will Officially Arrive Next Month

New Doja Cat music is on the way: Ahead of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley biographical film Elvis, which hits theaters June 24, Doja will release a new single called “Vegas” for the film’s companion album.

“Vegas,” which arrives next month, contains interpolations of “Hound Dog,” a song originally by Big Mama Thornton, and (in)famously covered by Presley. Snippets of the song have revealed that “Vegas” contains vocal samples of Thornton’s original version of “Hound Dog.” Actress Shonka Dukureh will portray Thornton in the film.

The Elvis companion album will arrive sometime this summer via RCA, which has been home to Presley’s catalog since the ’50s. RCA has not yet confirmed an exact release date for the article, nor have they detailed if the album will be a soundtrack, a score, or strictly a compilation of Presley covers, the label did reveal to Variety that “the album will include variations on Presley material that include contributions from a number of name artists representing different genres.”

Doja first performed “Vegas” in full during her set at Coachella, sparking up anticipation for new music. Also during her set, she announced that Taco Bell, of which she is a business partner, will bring back the fan-favorite Mexican pizza.
