NBA YoungBoy Receives Sentence For Federal Gun Case

NBA YoungBoy is now heading to prison according to a new report from AllHipHop. This sentence stems from the ongoing federal gun case that was originally handed down to the prolific rapper back in Louisiana in 2020. If you remember, he was “indicted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm not registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record in 2021”. This case has been going on for quite some time and it was eventually transferred over to his most recent state of residence, Utah. That happened because NBA YoungBoy took a guilty plea deal back in mid to late August.

“I, defendant, have been informed that a Felony Indictment is pending against me in the above designated case. I wish to plead guilty to the offense charged, to consent to the disposition of the case in the District of Utah in which I am present, and to waive trial in the above captioned District”. Prior to the reveal of what his prison sentence would be, there were reports saying that he could’ve faced up to 10 years. Today, is an entirely different story, though.

YB’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, says that he’s receiving just 27 months behind bars in addition to five years of probation. That’s quite the far cry from the original predicition and there’s even a chance that stay could be shorter. “Global plea 27 months… will be out with credit time served in prob 12 months”, Cohen said. He also feels this because “the case in Utah is weak and the Federal case had all kinds of trouble”. Obviously, while going to prison is never ideal, this is as big of a win that the rapper could’ve gotten.

NBA YoungBoy Hit With Yet Another Gun Charge After Guilty Plea

NBA YoungBoy is facing another federal gun charge after authorities filed a new charge of illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon against him. According to court documents obtained by WAFB, prosecutors made the claim in the United States District Court for the District of Utah on Monday. The update stems from his arrest in April when police say he illegally possessed a Sig Sauer P365 9mm semi-automatic pistol.

YoungBoy has been banned from possessing firearms and ammunition since 2016. At the time, he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a firearm. He had been involved in a shooting in South Baton Rouge. After his 2020 arrest in Louisiana, YoungBoy was initially allowed to stay on house arrest in Utah.

The latest update comes after YoungBoy successfully got his 2020 gun case moved from Louisiana to Utah; however, he had to agree to plead guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm to do so. “I wish to plead guilty to the offense charged, to consent to the disposition of the case in the District of Utah in which I am present and to wave trial in the [Middle District of Louisiana],” he said in a court filing. His change of plea hearing is scheduled for September 4.

Prior to his arrest in April, he dropped the track, “Tears Of War.” It served as the final song he recorded before federal agents raided his property and took him into custody. YoungBoy’s next court date in general is set for August 29 in Weber County. Be on the lookout for further updates on NBA YoungBoy on HotNewHipHop.

Ty Dolla $ign & Kanye West Announce “VULTURES 2” Listening Party In Utah

With the excitement mostly at its peak for VULTURES 2 at the time of writing, Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West are announcing yet another listening party. The former of the tandem shared the news via his Instagram just about an hour ago and it marks the third one for the album. Ty revealed the first one back on July 6 for Korea, which is now 20 days away. Then, the multi-hyphenate made his followers know about their future visit to Taiwan on July 25. That will go down two days later on August 25. That leads us to today, as Ty and Ye will be hitting the road, and heading to Salt Lake City to give the fans a special one-night performance of VULTURES 2.

This will actually be the first of the three listening experiences, as it will be going down on August 9. However, Dolla $ign’s followers aren’t really reacting to this news. Instead, they are harping on one aspect of the album that a majority of the community is having an issue with. The mixing, for lack of a better word, is pretty bad. Some aren’t too surprised with the final product, but others are confused, especially given how many times VULTURES 2 has been pushed back.

This argument is highlighted by the fact that there are quite a few songs that have floating around the internet for a couple of years now. People are wondering how and why Ye and Ty decided to give everyone essentially demos and they are letting them hear about it in this comment section as well. “FIX THE MIXING IN THE ALBUM THE QUALITY ISNT THE BEST”, one IG user demands. Another adds, “Album is s***, the lyrics are terrible, and mixing is so bad that some songs play on one ear when using headphones, the wait was not worth it”. “Dude why is Husband on here twice”, someone else jokes. Despite all this, we are sure Utah will have a massive turnout.

What are your thoughts on Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West announcing a new listening party for VULTURES 2 in Utah? Do you agree with a majority of the fans that the mixing isn’t good? How are you feeling about the album so far? Which songs are you enjoying the most on your first few listens? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. NBA YoungBoy Will Return Home Next Month, According To His Cat’s Instagram

In April, NBA YoungBoy was arrested at his Utah home in connection to an alleged prescription drug fraud scheme. The rapper was hit with several charges including identity theft, forgery, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, and more. At the time, YB was already on house arrest awaiting trial on unrelated gun charges. In May, he was granted a $100K bond in Cache County. He must also be granted a bond in Weber County in order to be released.

Fans are hopeful that he’ll return home sooner rather than later, and evidently, so is his cat. Earlier this weekend, YB’s pet Neon Celine’s Instagram account provided fans with a highly anticipated update. According to Neon, he’ll be back at Grave Digger Mountain in no time.

Neon Claims YB Is Headed Back To Grave Digger Mountain

“This time next month my dad will be home,” the post reads. Once NBA YoungBoy settles his legal battle in Utah, however, he’ll have to return to his hometown of Baton Rouge for his federal gun charge. The court will then decide whether or not his pre-trial release will be revoked. He’s scheduled to appear in court to discuss the matter next month.

At the beginning of May, Utah Assistant State Attorney Clark Harms filed a motion arguing that YB should not be released before his trial. “Even strict federal pre-trial supervision was unable to thwart his criminal activities and associations,” he wrote at the time. “Finally, defendant is charged with a felony and there is substantial evidence to support the charge and clear and convincing evidence that he violated several material conditions of his federal pre-trial release.” What do you think of NBA YoungBoy’s cat Neon announcing that he’ll return home later this summer? NBA Youngboy Arrested In Utah As He Awaits Federal Gun Charge: What We Know So Far

NBA YoungBoy, known by his legal name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, has found himself in legal trouble once again, this time in Cache County, Utah. Here’s a breakdown of the charges he faces, why he was on house arrest, and why the police searched his home.

Charges Faced by NBA YoungBoy

According to jail records obtained by USA TODAY, NBA YoungBoy was booked on multiple offenses, including a pattern of unlawful activity, identity fraud, forgery, and possession of a controlled substance and dangerous weapon. The Cache County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with multiple agencies such as the FBI, the Secret Service, and a SWAT team, conducted the search warrant on his residence, leading to his arrest.

Reasons For House Arrest

NBA YoungBoy’s stint in Utah under house arrest stemmed from previous legal entanglements. Initially accused of federal gun charges and other offenses, his lawyers argued for his relocation to Utah as a measure to keep him out of trouble. However, despite the imposed restrictions, Gaulden’s legal issues persisted. In 2023, a federal judge had lessened his house arrest conditions to allow for mental health treatments. Additionally, reports surfaced about his intention to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, per Fox13, showcasing a complex personal journey amid legal battles.

The recent execution of a warrant on NBA YoungBoy’s residence in Cache County was part of an ongoing investigation into criminal conduct. The search, conducted with the assistance of various law enforcement agencies, yielded charges related to violations of the Utah Controlled Substances Act, the Identity Fraud Act, and fraud. Despite the rapper’s presence in Utah under house arrest, the investigation uncovered alleged criminal activities, leading to his arrest and booking into the Cache County Jail.

With NBA YoungBoy’s arrest in Utah, questions arise about its implications for his ongoing federal case in Louisiana. Having been on 24-hour house arrest in Utah since October 2021, he faced restrictions on leaving his residence except for court appearances, mental health appointments, and approved employment-related activities. The rapper managed to release three albums during his house arrest period, indicating a continued focus on his music despite legal challenges. However, the recent arrest adds another layer of complexity to his legal battles, leaving uncertainty about its effects on his federal case.

Conclusion

In conclusion, NBA YoungBoy’s arrest in Utah underscores the ongoing legal saga surrounding the rapper. Facing a slew of charges and restrictions, his legal troubles persist despite efforts to navigate through them. As the investigation unfolds and legal proceedings progress, the future remains uncertain for one of the most prominent figures in contemporary hip-hop.

During this time, he has continued to make music and record music videos on his property. However, it seems as though the legal issues for YoungBoy have taken a significant turn for the worse. According to DJ Akademiks, the rapper was arrested on Tuesday, and he has been hit with numerous charges.

The charges in question are “patterns of unlawful activity, procuring or attempting to procure drugs, identity fraud, forgery, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a dangerous weapon.” Previously, authorities had accused YoungBoy of doing drugs in his home, and they were looking to use this as a reason to revoke his house arrest. With this latest arrest, it seems like he will have to be behind bars for a while. As Akademiks notes in his reports, he is currently without bond at this time.

While the sale implies YoungBoy may be confident about his upcoming trial in the federal arms case that resulted in his house arrest, the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana recently filed a motion arguing that the rapper violated his pre-trial release conditions. “The undersigned has learned that the defendant has violated Condition Number (10) and has informed his supervising officer that he has no intentions to discontinue using the substance that resulted in the violation,” they wrote. “The United States respectfully requests that this Court set a hearing to address the violation with the defendant and to determine the appropriate remedial action.”

YoungBoy will be standing trial in the arms case in July, three years after his initial arrest. Pictures of his property in Utah can be seen on Zillow here. Be on the lookout for further updates on NBA YoungBoy on HotNewHipHop.

NBA YoungBoy’s Utah Mansion Can Be Yours For $5.5 Million

Spending his early 20s on house arrest in Utah hasn’t been easy for NBA YoungBoy, but on the bright side, it’s given him the time and energy to pour into his near-constant music releases. So far in 2024 he’s shown off his skills on singles like “Steppa,” “No Time,” “Closed Case,” “F**k Ni**as,” and “Nose Ring,” and that only covers what we’ve heard from the controversial rapper in February. Besides his bars, YB is also in the news as he reportedly seeks to sell his 8,000-square-foot mansion that provides incredible views of Salt Lake Valley, the Oquirrh Mountains, and the city’s Downtown area.

As Building Salt Lake reports, the four-bedroom, four-bathroom property was listed on Monday (February 26) for $5.5 million. “Designed to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living, every corner of this home is flooded with natural light, creating an ambiance of serenity and tranquility,” a description beneath the new listing reads. The home was first built in 1999 but has since gone through substantial renovations, now boasting a heated driveway and a five-car garage to keep your whips safe and sound.

While NBA YoungBoy keeps his sights set on the future and preparing for his long-awaited trial, one of his children’s mothers has been making headlines for faking her own kidnapping story during a juicy Instagram Live session. NBA YoungBoy Blames Himself For Being Seen As “Uncivilized”

NBA YoungBoy has said that he believes he is not being marketed correctly and still carries a public perception of being “uncivilized”. However, he has also noted that he blames himself for that perception. Despite this, Gillie argued that people love YoungBoy because of his authenticity.

However, fans online weren’t entirely convinced that YoungBoy doesn’t get a “fair shot”. “Bruh maybe because you diss and cross everyone that tried to help and work with you?” one person noted. “One thing about being famous once you’re in you’re in. The whole world will know you and that’s the scary part. Power of the mind is not a joke and the energy that comes from fans / social media is powerful. Yb looks like his soul is gone and if there’s any left he’s tired asf from having to stay in that character i’m sure,” philosophized another.

NBA YoungBoy Calls His Wife His “Property”

A lot has been made of YB’s time in house arrest. But back in November, he raised some eyebrows amongst his fans. In an Instagram post, YB posed with a woman who he referred to as his “wife”, amongst other things. “My real day 1, y’all be dying to see my wife huh? Nah she too exclusive #mypropertyonly 💕,” the rapper wrote as a caption. This led to a wave of speculation across social media. “He must got a bunch of sister house in that house,” one person remarked on Reddit. Furthermore, fans questioned if the woman in the photos was Dej Rosegold, a previous flame of YB from a few years back.

Furthermore, in another post, YB was seen calling his bank and asking for $1 million to be wired to his wife’s account. After he hangs up, YB proceeds to vibe out to some music with a joint. Despite recent claims that house arrest was affecting his mental health, YB appears to be having a pretty great time right now.

NBA YoungBoy Seemingly Responds To Li Rye’s Utah Visit

In recent days, Li Rye has been boasting about the fact that he’s in Utah, home of none other than NBA YoungBoy. The Alabama native posted a photo of himself on Instagram yesterday swimming in cash, tagging his location in Salt Lake City. He also shared various posts on his IG Story, complaining about the cold weather in Utah. It’s unclear why exactly Li Rye decided to travel all the way there, but of course, social media users have some ideas.

NBA YoungBoy moved to Utah, where he’s currently on house arrest, in 2021. He’s since established “Gravedigger Mountain,” which he’s openly showed off on social media. Some commenters speculate that Li Rye stopped by the state to pay YB a visit, as the two of them have had their fair share of differences in the past couple of months. Their feud was ignited when YoungBoy referred to Li Rye as a “rookie.” Rye later announced plans to “take a trip to Utah,” which some users saw as a dig at YB.
