YG Announces “Just Re’d Up 3” & All The Important Details

Compton, California rapper YG has kept fairly quiet in terms of his solo material over the last two years or so. However, him and fellow West coaster Tyga did come through with their collaborative “playlist,” Hit Me When U Leave The Klub. It featured a solid hit in “Brand New” thanks to the incredible Lil Wayne verse. But back to the My Krazy Life MC; the last time that he dropped a new solo single was back in early December of 2022 with “Miss My Dawgs” featuring Weezy. He would end the drought late last month with “KNOCKA,” which apparently is the second promo track for the upcoming YG tape Just Re’d Up 3.

The April 26 release was certainly “a knocker a bopper a knocker like choppers” in our eyes. Unfortunately, Bricc Baby did not share the same opinion. He called out YG, essentially telling him to step up his game, as he feels that the young bucks are dropping better material. Well, good thing the G-funk hitmaker announced Just Re’d Up 3. This is a great chance to shut up Bricc Baby, and any other possible hater out there.

YG Continues The Re’d Up Series Over 10 Years Later

YG fans will know that he started this mixtape series back in 2011 and put out the sequel in 2013. Now, just over a decade later, the 34-year-old, is completing the trilogy. According to HipHopNMore, he revealed the release date (July 3), as well as the possibly unfinished album cover on X. That is the big surprise here; apparently this will be classified as a studio album, not a mixtape like the previous entries.

What are your thoughts on YG announcing Just Re’d Up 3 as an album instead of a mixtape? Do you think this the best entry in the series, why or why not? Could this be his best release as of late? Who do you want to see on the project and why? Is “KNOCKA” still in your rotation? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Your Old Droog Revving Up For New Album “Movie” With Conductor Williams-Produced Lead Single “Mercury Thermometers”

Your Old Droog is one the grittiest New York rappers your ears will ever hear. That is saying a lot, given how many blue-collar MCs come from there. His deliberate flow makes it easy to dissect every bar and entendre he spits at you. Today, Your Old Droog is back with another one of those cutthroat records called “Mercury Thermometers.” This is his latest offering, and it follows up on a handful of stellar features over the last couple of weeks. “DBZ” with Method Man, Denzel Curry and Madlib was one hell of a team-up and has quickly risen to the top of Droog’s most popular tracks on Spotify.

Another song that has been hitting for him has been “REEKYOD.” Another Madlib-backed track, Zel’s spot is swapped for another icon, Black Thought. While they are not his tracks, Droog still brings it to each offering, but that should not be a surprise. “Mercury Thermometers” is his track though, and it is also a lead single for a new project coming soon.

All we know is that “Mercury Thermometers” is the promo cut and that it is expected to drop next month. Oh, and we have word on one feature so far, which is the prolific producer Conductor Williams. He produced this single, and the beat is straight boom-bap nastiness. Check out the record with the link above.

Omar Apollo Feels A Deep Connection On “Dispose Of Me”

Omar Apollo is a balladeer that you are going to want to keep an ear out for going forward. The Apple Music Up Next artist and 2023 GRAMMY nominee is not someone we typically cater toward, as he blurs the lines between bedroom pop and soul. But he is such an intriguing talent, and he just so happens to be weaving in and out of hip-hop adjacent lanes. A couple of days ago, Omar Apollo announced his sophomore album, and today, the second single from it, “Dispose of Me,” is here.

According to Uproxx, the Hobart, Indiana native revealed this exciting news to his fan base on Instagram. “MY SOPHOMORE ALBUM “GOD SAID NO” – out June 28th. This album is a reflection of my life for the past 2 years and I’m happy to finally present it to you.” Omar’s debut, Ivory, dropped in 2022 and had features from Kali Uchis and Daniel Caesar. For God Said No, the soon-to-be 27-year-old crooner will be working alongside Mustafa, as well as actor Pedro Pascal.

As we said, “Dispose of Me” is Omar’s second helping from the project, with “Spite” being the lead-off track. This latest offering is a stunning, yet heartbreaking tale about seeing something special in a partner, regardless of how long the other person has known them. “It don’t matter if it’s twenty-five years, twenty-five months / It don’t matter if it’s twenty-five days, it was real love / We got too much history.” You can check out the new single with the link above. God Said No is due to be out on June 28.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Dispose of Me” by Omar Apollo? Do you think this is the best promotional track off his upcoming album, why or why not? Does this get you excited for God Said No? Does he deserve more shine than he is receiving? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Quotable Lyrics:

You’re making me feel insecure about things I ain’t thought about in years
You’re bringing out my fears

Always in my tears
You’re a gentleness my body just won’t forget
You’re a handprint on my heart I just can’t possess

Dom Corleo & Veeze Link For The First Time On “Duh Duh Duh”

Dom Corleo, at least for us, can be hit or miss. That could be a lazy take, as music is mostly subjective, but that defines the Fremont, California native in a nutshell in our opinion. We have seen him drop some copycat tracks like his two-pack, “DEVOTE/BITE,” but then turn around and give us an accessible banger. This time around Dom Corleo rides a pretty catchy instrumental on “duh duh duh.”

According to Genius, this has the potential to be a promotional single for an upcoming LP. Under My Influence is the title for now and outside of some possible titles to land on it, that is all the intel we have. On “duh duh duh,” Dom Corleo taps someone new to breathe some extra life into the cut. That fresh face is Veeze, the gravelly-voiced rapper from Detroit, who broke through last year with his album Ganger.

The part of the single that sticks out for us is the aforementioned instrumental. There is an endearing quality to it that is a little hard to pinpoint, but it just works. The piano keys, mixed with the wacky sound effects and kick drums all mesh well. Additionally, the colorful and goofy music video adds that extra pizzaz and helps sell the fun energy of the song. Dom definitely passed the banger test this time around.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “duh duh duh” by Dom Corleo and Veeze? Do you think these two should work together again in the future, why or why not? Does this get you excited for Dom’s upcoming album Under My Influence? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Big Hit & The Alchemist Go Bar For Bar On Hit-Boy-Assisted “Black & Whites”

Just last week iconic producers The Alchemist and Hit-Boy, as well as the latter’s father, Big Hit, announced that they would be dropping album. They did so in hilarious fashion, recreating a memorable scene from the 1990s comedy film Office Space. The album trailer got a lot of clicks on YouTube and for good reason. This has the potential to be one of the best LPs from 2024 when it is all set and done.

Just 24 hours after the reveal on May 6, the trio put forth the lead single called “Foreclosure.” The grim production from Hit-Boy and Uncle Al, coupled with Hit’s mean-mugging flow, were a real treat. While it was great to get our first taste of the project, we were still left in the dark as to when we could expect the record. Well, with this second helping “Black & Whites,” which is the album name too, we now have that information at our disposal.

Listen To “Black & Whites” By Hit-Boy, Big Hit, & The Alchemist

Fans can expect this album on May 30, so about two and a half weeks from now. “Black & Whites” could possibly be the last offering before the full listen and we kind of hope it is. We do not want the experience to be spoiled because we heard all the greatness beforehand. This title track is also enjoyable because it sees Uncle Al hop in the recording booth to drop some witty bars. Hit-Boy handles the instrumental solo this time and it is extremely delicate and dreamy, allowing the bars do all the talking.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Black & Whites” by Big-Hit, Big Hit, and The Alchemist? Is this the strongest single from Black & Whites, why or why not? Who had the better rapping performance? Do you think this should be the last promotional track for the album? Camila Cabello & Lil Nas X Provide A Much-Improved Offering With “HE KNOWS”

About a month and a half ago, Cuban pop sensation and former Fifth Harmony figure Camila Cabello had fans severely divided. The 27-year-old dropped the lead single for her upcoming fourth solo effort C,XOXO, “I LUV IT.” It was a head-scratcher for a lot of people, to put it lightly. Her repetitive and frankly annoying chorus, mixed with the hodge podge of an instrumental were harsh on the ears. Additionally, the track had a Playboi Carti feature that was out of place. Simultaneously, it has gone on to easily be his worst feature of the year so far. This time around, Camila Cabello looks to right the ship with “HE KNOWS.”

For us, this song far and away is of higher quality than “I LUV IT” in a multitude of ways. Instrumentally, the rhythm that we are accustomed to from a Cabello track is back. It is groovy, as well as dizzying, but in a good way. There are some hypnotic background vocals from what we assume are from her as well. Vocally, Camila does not come off sounding like a spoiled brat, which is how we would describe her delivery on “I LUV IT.”

Then, the feature, which is provided by Lil Nas X, is also an improvement. It is more fun, animated, and honestly quite hilarious. It still may not be for everyone, but it is far more memorable in comparison to Carti. Camila Cabello is set to drop C,XOXO June 28 and the single cover art you see above is supposed to be the LP’s artwork as well. Be sure to check out “HE KNOWS” with the video link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “HE KNOWS” by Camila Cabello and Lil Nas X? Do you this offering is better than “I LUV IT” with Playboi Carti, why or why not? Ski Mask The Slump God Levels Up Like Goku ON “Headrush”

Ski Mask The Slump God is undoubtedly one of the industry’s most entertaining acts going today. The Broward County, Florida native’s goofy, and sometimes unconventional approach, are what define his style. He loves to color outside the lines, make references to anime, and sometimes lay down some of the wildest bars you will ever hear. This weekend, Ski Mask is back to provide some of that insanity in the form of a new single “Headrush.”

It appears to be the second single for his long-awaited sophomore album 11th Dimension. Fans got their first taste of its lead offering “Shibuya” in the latter half of March, which was a solid release as well. According to Genius, Ski Mask has been messing around with the album’s tracklist extensively over the last year and a half or so. “OOGA BOOGA!” was supposedly going to make the cut, but it was nixed and now remains to be a loosie.

On top of what will make the final product, the release date is also up in the air. There was some speculation that Ski Mask would drop the album by his birthday (April 18), but that obviously did not come to fruition. Now, the rumor is that it will be out before the end of June. We can only hope and pray at this point, but for now we are thoroughly enjoying “Headrush.” The title is a perfect way to describe this highly energetic single. Ski Mask channels the powers of Goku (who he likens himself to on the track), as his vocals are pitched up and are laid on top of a trap/rock fusion that sounds killer.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Headrush” by Ski Mask The Slump God? Is this the better promotional track for his upcoming album 11th Dimension, why or why not? Do you like the rock/trap direction that he is going in for this long-awaited project? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Post Malone Hints At A New Artistic Direction With “I Had Some Help” Featuring Morgan Wallen

There is no denying the star power that Post Malone possesses. No matter what genre he decides to dabble in, the Texas native always draws a crowd to anything he is attached to. Of course, fans of hip-hop and R&B were the first to discover his talents in the latter half of the 2010s decade with his breakout hit “White Iverson.” From there, he continued to evolve, and over the last year, Posty has begun to distance himself from the sound that put him on the map. This year has seen him collaborate with Beyonce for her take on country and bluegrass, COWBOY CARTER.

Now, Post Malone is trying his hand in the same playing field, but this time as the lead act on “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen. According to Genius, this is the lead single for Austin Post’s full-on country album, which does not have a release date or title. According to Billboard, this song was previewed a handful of times over the last month or so. Once on Post’s social media platforms, as well as a live performance alongside the country superstar at Stagecoach, a country music festival in Indio, CA.

These two have been friends for some time now, so even though this is a first-time collab, it makes a lot of sense. On “I Had Some Help,” they are dealing with a breakup, but in this case, the singers are throwing their ladies under the bus. While Post and Morgan are taking accountability for them splitting up with their partners, they feel that each side is to blame. Be sure to check out the relationship cut with the links above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen? Do you like Post Malone going in a country direction for his next album, why or why not? T.I. Delivers On Promise Of Dropping An NBA YoungBoy Collab With “LLOGCLAY”

When you think about the founding fathers of trap music, especially from the hallowed city of Atlanta, T.I. automatically deserves a spot. The legend has been around for over 20 years and provided the genre with countless classics, especially in the late 2000s. However, as the saying goes, “all good things must come to an end.” T.I. is supposedly going to call it quits musically speaking after he drops a double album.

The rumored title for said project(s) is Kill The King and Kiss The King, but we have inside information as to when it will drop. T.I. announced this news during an October interview with the crew over at the We In Miami podcast. What he also revealed to the world was that an NBA YoungBoy collaboration was in the works and that it was going to a surprising listen for fans. That track that T.I. is referring to now has a title and it is called “LLOGCLAY.”

Listen To “LLOGCLAY” By T.I. & NBA YoungBoy

This first-time collaboration between two of the South’s most prolific names sees them rap passionately over a piano and finger-snapping instrumental. T.I. lowkey was not lying when he said this was going to be something fresh. YB puts forth one of his best recordings and his cadence is smoky and deeper than usual. It is a beautiful track and T.I. dedicated this track to an assumed close friend of his. “This 1 is for my day 1 patna Clay Evans, rest in power King!!”

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “LLOGCLAY” by T.I. and NBA YoungBoy? Is this one of his stronger releases as of late, why or why not? Key Glock Says “The G Stands For Greatest” On Latest Single

After the tragic loss of Young Dolph, it seems that the proverbial baton has been passed to Key Glock. The 26-year-old Memphis MC soaked up so much knowledge from the “old man” and now he has become one of, if not the best, from the city. That statement can be backed up from the slew of singles and remixes “Mr. Glock” has put out. One track that we can add to the stacked list of releases is his latest offering, “The Greatest.”

This single follows up on renditions of the Glockoma 2 (Deluxe) banger “Let’s Go,” which has quickly become a fan favorite. Over the last several weeks, Glock brought an EDM remix with Alok, and a fire posthumous verse from his mentor. “The Greatest” sees the aggressive spitter flex his muscles and boast about his skills. He sets the tone right from the jump, saying, “Yuh, they call me Glock and the G stand for “Greatest” (Yuh).”

Listen To “The Greatest” By Key Glock

Over the thumping BandPlay beat, Glock brings a slippery flow that feels reminiscent of something Offset would lay down. But it does not feel like a blatant rip off by any means. “The Greatest” could be a single for the long awaited Glocktober tape, which was teased late last year. We had belief that Key was going to drop the tape in October based on the title, the color scheme for the single cover arts, and that he was dropping the singles during that month. However, we are still waiting, and hopefully it drops sooner than later.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “The Greatest” by Key Glock? Is this one of his stronger releases as of late, why or why not? Do you think he is gearing up for Glocktober still, or something new? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section.
