Lil Yachty Sends Drake Fans Into A Frenzy By Unfollowing Him On IG

It seems like fans will spend “Another Late Night” theorizing and speculating as to who Drake is beefing with next. Moreover, some eagle-eyed fans on social media recently noticed that Lil Yachty seemed to unfollow him on Instagram. This shocked a lot of admirers thanks to the duo’s strong collaborative and personal relationship prior to this, as well as the fact that they engaged with each other online as much as in person. Furthermore, OVO and Concrete supporters immediately got into detective mode, speculating that the supposed upcoming release of Drizzy’s “Supersoak” has something to do with it.

If you didn’t already know, DJ Akademiks previewed a clip of the music video for this song, which originally featured Lil Yachty. In fact, it was Yachty who leaked the original collab version of the song to Kai Cenat for him to play it on his livestream. This was because they couldn’t clear the sample, as the sampled artist Mr. Hotspot’s religious views prompted him to demand a clean version of the team-up. With this new development in mind, many speculate that Mr. Hotspot is mad at Yachty for revealing all this on a podcast, and told the 6ix God that he could drop it if he removed his partner.

Lil Yachty Seemingly Unfollows Drake

Of course, that’s just an unfounded theory, and so will any others before one of them actually speaks out about it. Still, we’re not even inclined to believe that this indicates a rift between the two, as it could just as easily be a promo tactic. Nevertheless, it’s not like Drake and Lil Yachty’s relationship has all been peaches and cream. For example, the latter’s thoughts on the former’s beef with Kendrick Lamar resulted in considerable uproar from the Toronto superstar’s die-hards.

Regardless, we’ll see if Drake and Lil Yachty speak on this at any point. It’s not like every fan loved this collab, but fans worry about this partnership fading. After all, they picked a pretty contentious and controversial moment to stir even more rumors about who is or isn’t beefing. Are they bamboozling us just to troll or is there something deeper going on?

Fivio Foreign Unleashes On Pop Smoke’s Brother After The Latter Called Him Out For Unfollowing Late Rapper

Fivio Foreign is the target for Pop Smoke’s brother after discovering the drill artist doesn’t follow the late MC on Instagram. “Yo, I just woke up, but that is actually true. I just looked at his following; he’s not following Pop or Mike Dee”, Obasi Jackson said in an online video. “I mean, f*** Mike Dee. But Pop? Word? Fivio?! Yo, we gotta do something about this fake s***, gang. N****s not gonna show their face at Pop Smoke Day. What’s going on, bro?!”. For someone who was really going through it when Pop Smoke passed, Fivio Foreign was not going to let all of this slander slide.

So, the “Off The Grid” rapper unleashed on Jackson by calling him weird and pointing out how his own brother didn’t even follow him on social media. “That n**** is weirdo don’t believe s*** them cornballs that want attention say. Pop ain’t follow that goofball when he was alive. Tell [him to] stop goin pop smoke crazy after death for the clout boy hated his own brother and pop [ain’t] fucc w this lame head a** n****”. To put this alleged hate for the “For The Night” rapper to bed, Fivio shared some posts online like the one on IG below.

Later, he hopped on IG Live to double down on his love for his late friend and collaborator. “Y’all talking about a follow. Look at this, I have ‘The smoke will never clear’ on my chest”, he said added while showing off his Pop Smoke ink. “Y’all talking about a follow? I don’t know how they unfollow. I know I went through a season of following zero people. I don’t even care”. While Jackson is a “weirdo” in Fivio’s eyes, he is right in that he doesn’t follow Pop. Fans are on the brother’s side for the most part, calling the act disrespectful. However, there are some who feel that people are making mountains out of molehills.

What are your thoughts on Fivio Foreign’s response to Pop Smoke’s brother? Does it bother you that the drill rapper is not following the late artist, why or why not? Is this getting blown out of proportion at all to you? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Drake Unfollows Elliott Wilson, The Latter Claims After “Meet The Grahams” Edit

Elliott Wilson may have caught flack for posting an edited version of “Meet The Grahams,” but he’s definitely no OVO die-hard, either. Moreover, he remarked that all of the tracks in the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef have been good except “The Heart Part 6,” and has been quite critical of Drizzy in particular along with his jabs towards K.Dot. But it seems like the Toronto superstar has finally had enough of being at odds with the Rap Radar host, because Wilson made a very interesting claim on Twitter this morning (Friday, May 10). “The BOY unfollowed me on IG,” he wrote, which led many in the replies to mock The Boy, question why this would be so surprising, criticize the journalist, or just comment on the situation in general.

Furthermore, Drake and Elliott Wilson have butted heads quite a lot over the past year or so, starting as recently as July of last year. The latter criticized the former for not doing any more interviews that were “within the culture,” such as radio interviews, podcasts with hip-hop media, magazines, other rap-centric outlets, etc. Following a pretty dismissive and trolling response from Aubrey, Wilson apologized to him given their strong rapport over the years. At least, a rapport that stuck around much more before he strayed away from a lot of hip-hop media in his superstardom.

Elliott Wilson Claims Drake No Longer Follows Him

I’m actually very disappointed in this song,” Elliott Wilson said of Drake’s “The Heart Part 6” in a conversation with DJ Akademiks. “The problem I’m having with Drake in this whole thing is that he refuses to view Kendrick as a worthy opponent. He still keeps little bro-ing him like we’re in the Club Paradise days. I just don’t think that’s the right strategy, He needs to deliver bars and go at him. He hadn’t even made a whole record direct to Kendrick yet. He’s all about airing everyone out that’s going against him. Obviously, there’s a whole movement and Metro orchestrated a lot of it.

“He doesn’t get why Kendrick is so big and why people love him so much and the type of music he makes and the success he has,” Elliott Wilson continued. “He doesn’t connect to it… I think a lot of people don’t like Drake, but they all respect him. You can’t not respect The Boy because of what he’s done.”

Did Cardi B & Offset Split? Partners In Rhyme Unfollow Each Other On Instagram

Cardi B and Offset’s marriage hasn’t always been perfect – in fact, it was only a few years ago that the rap diva found herself filing for divorce from her husband. At the time, the “Walk It Talk It” artist’s infidelity was causing serious issues between them, though in an interview with Jason Lee earlier this year, Cardi made it sound as though she and Set have come incredibly far in resolving their issues. Virtually every outing we’ve seen them at together lately has looked full of positivity, but as 2023 comes to a close, the New Yorker once again has us worried about the state of her marriage.

On Monday (December 4), the mother of two’s Instagram Story lit up with a message pouring out some emotional feelings. “You know when you just outgrow relationships?” Cardi asked her followers. “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings. I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST,” she added, causing some to speculate that confessions about Offset’s unsavoury behaviour could be coming soon.

Cardi B and Offset Worry Fans with Recent Social Media Activity

Later in the evening, various blogs took note of the fact that the “Clout” collaborators are no longer following one another on Instagram. We’ve seen them pull similar stunts in the past, seemingly to draw more attention to their music, but this time around, the Bardi Gang genuinely can’t tell if their favourite rap diva is in emotional turmoil, or just playing on their emotions. The only thing sure to bring us answers is time, and we’ll update you on the latest as it comes.

Even if trouble is afoot for Cardi B and Offset, that doesn’t mean all is negative in the world of celebrity romance. Today, music lovers were shocked to find out that Ashanti and Nelly are expecting their first child together after recently reconciling their decades-old relationship. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Why Did Drake Unfollow Bobbi Althoff?

Bobbi Althoff’s rise to the mainstream seemed sudden. Some knew of her quirky humor from social media, but her successful pivot to podcasting was unexpected. Her interview with Funny Marco generated viral moments, and then came the surprising episode featuring Drake. The Canadian rapper appeared on The Really Good Podcast last month for a rare interview, causing a stir in hip-hop media. Drake’s choice to sit down with a goofy podcaster instead of a legitimate journalist raised eyebrows, given that he rarely does press.

While the internet buzzed about Bobbi’s connection with Drake, fans speculated on a possible rift. Shortly after Bobbi shared a less-than-flattering post about Drake’s L.A. concert, fans noticed they unfollowed each other and she removed their interview from her channel. So, what transpired exactly?

The Controversial Concert Post

Currently, no one has confirmed any discord between them. Still, numerous theories circulate about the fallout. The timing between Bobbi’s post from the It’s All A Blur tour and the deletion of their YouTube video could suggest Drake took offense. Other hints indicate more at play, especially since Lil Yachty did the same.

Bobbi’s BFF Podcast Appearance

Bobbi Althoff spilled details about her Drake and Lil Yachty interviews on Barstool Sports’ BFF podcast with Dave Portnoy. She shared how she secured the Drake interview (apparently, a simple DM worked) and described her awkward encounter with Lil Yachty before their talk. Yachty, being the same age, was easy to converse with, she explained, but he barely engaged before filming began.

“I walked into [Lil Yachty’s] house and he didn’t really even say hi to me,” Bobbi recalled. “I was like, ‘Let’s go to the bathroom.’ We go to the bathroom then we get out and he’s sitting there with his two assistants and he’s not even acknowledging that I’m in the room.”

While not overtly contentious, this comment didn’t cast Lil Yachty in a positive light. While it might not fully explain Drake’s unfollowing, both he and Yachty distanced themselves, possibly due to Bobbi’s transparency.

The Ice Spice Treatment

Drake’s unfollowing of an up-and-coming woman isn’t new. In 2022, he embraced Ice Spice, even flying her to Toronto for OVO Fest. Though they made amends, he did unfollow her at one point. One theory involved Ice Spice declining an OVO Sound deal. Others suggested that she turned down his advances. These speculations resurfaced after the Drake/Bobbi Althoff incident.

Similarly, Drake and Bobbi Althoff were linked to rumors of an affair. After she unarchived posts with her husband, Cory Althoff, the internet weaved a narrative, fueled by a clip of Dave Portnoy discussing the rumors that they split. Despite this, Bobbi denied rumors of a divorce and that she and Drake slept together. The exact reasons for her and Drake’s unfollowing remain unclear.

A Publicity Stunt?

The likeliest explanation for the fallout could be a marketing scheme to generate buzz. Questions arose about how Bobbi swiftly landed a Drake interview after launching her podcast, leading to industry plant accusations. However, during her Lil Yachty interview, it surfaced that Drake’s team filmed the episode, suggesting that he had creative control over the final product.

Not a widespread theory, but worth pondering: Drake granted Bobbi a window for the podcast on her YouTube page. No evidence supports this, yet the simultaneous removal of the episode from YouTube and Spotify alongside their unfollowing might suggest non-malicious intent. Perhaps, the interview’s creative control was prearranged.

Conclusion

Between industry plant claims and the apparent Drake fallout, Bobbi Althoff faces her first controversy after a swift ascent. She showcased her humor with Funny Marco and soared higher with the Drake interview. Despite this, it might not be a defining moment. With a legion of fans who fell in love with her personality as a momfluencer on TikTok, there’s no doubt that the Really Good Podcast will continue to grow in the foreseeable future. Hopefully, her interview with Drake will eventually be re-released on YouTube.

Gunna Seemingly Unfollows Lil Baby & Lil Durk On Instagram

While it’s still pretty unclear, it seems like the beef between Gunna, YSL, and others in the hip-hop world continues to manifest itself. Moreover, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the College Park MC unfollowed Lil Baby and Lil Durk on Instagram. Not only that, but this comes months after Baby unfollowed Wunna on IG, and while The Voice still follows him as of writing this article, he took larger steps to blast his plea deal in the YSL RICO case. “Now I don’t sit up here and play games, man,” he told DJ Akademiks during a podcast interview. “That man told. You should have went in there and kept your mouth closed.”

In addition, this news comes after Gunna seemingly dissed the two for switching up on him on his new album‘s single, “bread & butter,” though he since denied it. Maybe things are more contentious now thanks to alleged leaked calls from Young Thug telling Lil Durk and Lil Baby to respond to Gunna’s alleged disses on his new album, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. “Yo, aye Wham, if you thinkin’ about responding to the little s**t that buddy put out, I want you to respond on my album,” Thug allegedly told his fellow Atlanta MC. “I’m droppin’ this spontaneous album on the same day he drops his album. I’m going to name this s**t BUSINESS IS BUSINESS.”

Gunna Apparently Unfollowed Lil Baby & Lil Durk On IG Recently

Also, here’s what Thugger seemingly told Lil Durk. “Aye Durk, I’m dropping this surprise album on the same day buddy drops his album,” he allegedly stated. “That s**t coming up soon. I need a verse from you. If you feel like you want to reply to what that n***a sayin’ of something, man, don’t do it. Drop it on my album. I’m droppin’ an album the same day that f**k n***a drop. Send your verse in. I want you and Wham on the same song.” However, it’s worth noting that neither Smurk nor Baby appear on the album’s final tracklist.

Meanwhile, in a new song snippet, Lil Baby seems to have directly dissed Gunna and others who took plea in the YSL case. “Some n***as taking pleas at trial I know that slime ain’t happy,” he raps in a new video clip. With all this in mind, it’s interesting that YSL still promoted a Gift & a Curse and that Gunna reposted Thug’s countdown for BUSINESS IS BUSINESS on his social media. While many don’t see the reciprocation from Thug, he did once share a link to Wunna’s music on social media recently, and Gunna clearly only cares about him and not the other former collaborators sending shots at him. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Gunna, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Young Thug.

Polo G Explains Why He Shut Down Rumors He Unfollowed Gunna

Boosie Badazz predicted that Meek Mill’s career would be even bigger after his release from prison. However, this theory doesn’t necessarily apply to all rappers in hip-hop. Gunna, specifically, faced much scrutiny in recent months since his release from prison. The rapper came home just before the holidays but there weren’t many individuals that embraced him, especially after court footage emerged online. A clip of Gunna copping his Alford Plea spread like wildfire and did immediate damage to his career.

Ultimately, fans left rat emojis under his comments when Gunna returned to Instagram. Other members of the YSL camp felt as though he was disloyal to Young Thug. However, it was his many peers in hip-hop that pushed him away. Lil Baby and Meek Mill, who both have strong relationships with Thug and Gunna, unfollowed the DS4EVER rapper on Instagram, leading plenty of other rappers to follow. However, Polo G somehow got tied into the controversy, even though he didn’t follow Gunna to begin with.

Polo G Isn’t Concerned About Gunna’s Snitching Rumors

After people accused Polo G of unfollowing Gunna around the same time as Lil Baby and Meek Mill, the rapper made it clear that he doesn’t follow trends or what any other person is doing. This week, he sat down with the Full Send Podcast where he explained that why he addressed the rumors in the first place. “I don’t feel no type of way, for real. It was just me seeing a specific headline, like, you worded it in a way, like I’m trend following,” he said. “That’s not me. That’s the only reason why I addressed the situation.”

Overall, he said that he doesn’t want to get into the messy drama in the rap game, anyways. “Yeah, I don’t get into none of that, man. I’m chillin’,” he explained. Though it seems unlikely that Polo and Gunna will work on music together in the future, the Chicago rapper evidently isn’t concerned with what the “pushin p” rapper has going on in his life. Check out the clip below and sound off with your thoughts in the comments. Do you think Gunna deserves the backlash he’s facing?
