music funkmaster flex

Conway the Machine took to Instagram live where he called out Funk Flex and other NYC DJs for being out-of-touch “gatekeepers” in the game.

“New York, in my opinion, man you gotta get them old n*ggas up out the way like Flex and them n*ggas man,” the Griselda co-founder said. “You know what I mean? Them gatekeepers that you got up there man that’s trying to dictate like who, you know what I’m saying? Like c’mon bruh. Good thing I don’t need y’all n*ggas cause if I needed y’all n*ggas y’all n*ggas would be fake stifling my groove.”

Shortly after Conway’s remarks went viral, Funk Flex responded to Conway in a scathing diss in multiple Instagram posts, saying that he’s a “sorry lyricist” and thinks that the Griselda Records co-founder has “peaked.”

“WHY DO I GET ON THE NERVES OF MULTI PLATINUM / WORLD WIDE TOURING ARTIST LIKE GRISELDA? MANAGED BY ROCKNATION AND SIGNED TO EMINEM / INTERSCOPE?” Flex said in one post. “IM OLD.. He went on to post another diss on his Instagram, this time tagging the God Don’t Make Mistakes artist. In this post, he called Conway a “sorry lyricist” and said that with all of the major label backing he has, Conway can only blame himself for his career not being where he wants it to be.

“@whoisconway hahahah! Sooooo? Let’s begin! Your managed by ROCNATION? (JAYZ) Signed to SHADE RECORDS? (EMINEM) Distributed by INTERSCOPE RECORDS? (MAJOR LABEL) YOUT AND YOUR TEAM HAVE HAD A FEATURE FROM JAYZ, EMINEM, LIL WAYNE, JCOLE, JADAKISS, TRAVIS SCOTT, FRENCH MONTANA AND MORE????? WASNT U ON KANYE / DONDA ALBUM?” Flex wrote.

“IM GONNA GIVE YOU THE ADVICE PAUL ROSENBERG SHOULD OF GAVE U! YOUR A 40 PLUS “BARS RAPPER” SORRY LYRICIST THAT HAS HAD EVERY RESOURCE POSSIBLE! IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR “CAREER” AS OF TODAY? WITH ALL THEM CO-SIGNS? I THINK U HAVE PEAKED MY GUY? WHAT U THINK? ( YOUR ONLY GONNA TAKE THIS AS DISRESPECT BECAYSE TRUTH MIGHT BE A BIT MUCH FOR YOU?”

Conway responded to Flex in the comments, saying that Flex’s claims were “false” and doubling down on his comments that his “services are not needed no more.”

“That’s exactly my point lol everything u stated in this post, which most was false, we did all that WITHOUT RADIO my nigga, WITHOUT niggas like you, so why are u needed again??? Lol you’re service’s are not needed no more OL timer… artists can now get rich without u niggas, like I did 🤷🏾‍♂️ again stop me when I’m wrong”

Donald Trump Labels Elon Musk as a “Bullsh*t Artist” and Calls Out His Twitter Deal

Donald Trump Labels Elon Musk as a "Bullsh*t Artist" and Calls Out His Twitter Deal

Before Elon Musk’s Twitter deal went sour, one of the changes he stated he would bring to the platform would be reinstating Donald Trump to the platform. Trump isn’t returning that love, as he blasted the world’s richest man during a rally in Alaska.

“Elon, he’s not going to buy Twitter,” Trump said. “Where did you hear that before? From me.”

He added, “He’s got himself a mess. You know what he said the other day, ‘Oh, I’ve never voted for a Republican.’ I said I didn’t know that because he told me that he voted for me, so he’s another bullshit artist. He’s not going to be buying it. I looked at his contract. Not a good contract.”

On Friday, Musk announced he is backing out of the deal due to “false and misleading” statements. In April, Musk aimed to purchase the social media platform at $54.20 a share.

Chris Brown Names Jay-Z, Big L, Biggie, and 2Pac On His Mount Rushmore Of Rap

Chris Brown

Social media was set ablaze last year with people debating on who should be on their Mount Rushmore of hip hop from the last decade. It seems as if the conversation is still lingering as people are still debating on which four rappers should have their faces on the side of the mountain.

In a new interview with LA Leakers, Chris Brown revealed who his Mount Rushmore of rap is, and even took one person off to add another.

“JAY-Z, Nas, Big L, and 2Pac,” Brown said when asked about who his Mount Rushmore of rap is. However, after giving it some thought, he decided to replace one of the artists with another legendary NYC MC.

“Skrrt, put Biggie, in the spot of Nas!” Brown said. “I love Nas, damn, it’s f*ckin’ up! Damn, hold up I’m sorry. Rakim in there too, I’m sorry! That’s all mine. Everybody I said, those are in my Mt. Rushmore. I made my own Mt. Rushmore.”

While Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie, and Pac might be common names when talking about the Mount Rushmore of hip-hop, many initially left Big L out of the conversation, making him a surprising edition to Brown’s list.

Chris Brown recently dropped his 10th studio album Breezy, and after only selling 84,000 units the first week, Brown claims that he only receives support when he’s doing bad rather than when he is doing good.

“July 8th breezy deluxe album,” he wrote in his Instagram Stories. “Not that it matters…SEEMS LIKE YALL ONLY INVEST IN THE NEGATIVE STORIES ABOUT ME. CHRIS GETS IN TROUBLE (THE WHOLE WORLD IS ON it). Chris drops album [crickets]. I’m back on my gangsta sh*t. It’s BRACKING at all times.”

Cardi B Snatches Off Her Wig While Performing In Norway

Cardi B Hair

Cardi B  keeps it all the way real with her fans in Norway and rips off her wig mid-show and performs with just the wig cap. The WAP rapper wowed the crowd on Thursday night while headlining the first day of Norway’s star-studded Stavern Festival at the Larvik Golf Arena. For her sizzling set, the 29-year-old rapper showcased her ample assets in a sheer black catsuit decked out in black sequin fringe and put on a high-energy performance, a risque stripper dance, and topped it off with a wig toss.   Although this is not the first time Cardi B has pulled off her wig during a performance with just her wig she did the same thing in 2019 in London but then made the mistake of throwing out in the crowd, the “I Like It’  singer never recovered her valuable hairpiece — which was created by then, hair stylist, Toko Styles and cost her thousands of dollars, according to her hairstylist — and perhaps regretted her actions, who also reposted a video on her Instagram the following day with the caption, “I GOT CARRIED AWAY …….I want my wig back:/ Dm me.”

It is not clear why she takes off her wigs, perhaps she gets overheated and is uncomfortable, or maybe she is just giving fans the full Cardi B experience.  Whatever the reason concert-goers eat it up.

The discussion on Twitter rangers from her Followers wanting to go to her concerts for the possibility of catching the wig and fans showing love and feeling sorry for her stylist because she always rips ti off.

Ice Cube Praises Lil Wayne, Says His “Metaphors Are Otherworldly”

Ice Cube Accuses Warner Bros. Of Discrimination, Wants Studio To Surrender Rights To 'Friday' Franchise and Other Movies

Ice Cube might be one of the greatest rappers of all time, but even he gives other deserving rappers their flowers every once in a while.

In a new interview with the On The Guest List podcast, Cube shared his thoughts on Lil Wayne, and called his metaphors “otherworldly.”

“It’s hard to beat Lil Wayne,” Cube said. “His metaphors are otherworldly. As far as lyrics and can make hits, you know. Has been copied all these years and nothing but clones of Lil Wayne at the end of the day. So I just think, besides myself. I’ve done so much for the culture, but uh, yeah, yeah he’s dope.”

It’s good to hear one of hip-hop’s OG’s give his props to another legendary MC, especially one from another coast.

Cube has also been hard at work lately. His group, Mount Westmore, consisting of himself, Snoop Dogg, Too $hort, and E-40, released their first studio album, BAD MFS‘, last month. However, the project is not yet available on streaming platforms, instead, it’s available on blockchain in the metaverse.

“You know what it is,” Ice Cube said in a promo video. “Mount Westmore — you got the four pillars of West Coast Hip Hop. We are down with Gala Music. We are coming out with that Mount Westmore ‘BAD MFs’ album. There is going to be new music, new experiences, shows, everything that the Westmore got, baby, you gonna get it.”
