Last month it was reported that a former friend of comedian Tiffany Haddish filed a defamation of character lawsuit against the actress. She accused the star of extortion after her son and daughter both dropped their lawsuit against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears over a series of inappropriate comedy skits that went viral on social media. Now it’s alleged that Tiffany was recently served outside an event she was hosting for young comics in Los Angeles.

Tiffany Haddish was tracked down by a process server at a comedy event she hosted in Los Angeles — which now allows her former friend to move her $1 million lawsuit forward in court, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Trizah Morris, who was once close with Tiffany, informed the court that the comedian was served on August 28, 2023.
The process server became aware that Tiffany was hosting an event with young comedians at the Laugh Factory on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood.
Per the proof of service filed with the court, the server was able to hand the legal paperwork to Tiffany and/or her rep at the side entrance of the comedy club at around 6:45 PM.

Like many previous and subsequent years, Drake dominated the charts in 2016. His album, Views, had the highest first-week consumption out of any hip-hop album released that year. However, Drake’s biggest No. 1 songs of 2016 did not feature rapping. His biggest hits that year included the dancehall and afro-fusion chart-topper “One Dance,” as well as “Hotline Bling.” Additionally, both of his collaborations with Rihanna, “Work” and “Too Good” also reached No. 1 on the charts that year. Out of his No. 1 2016 hits, Drake’s only rap song to top the charts was “Summer Sixteen.” The single served as a victory lap following his beef with Meek Mill in 2015 and led to his tour with Future of the same name. “Summer Sixteen” also simultaneously reached No. 1 on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts.
6. Chance The Rapper – “No Problem” Ft. Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz
Chance The Rapper had achieved a massive amount of success as an independent artist but took things to a new level with his Grammy-award-winning mixtape, Coloring Book. Following his show-stopping verse on Kanye West’s “Ultralight Beam,” Chance continued to wave the flag for independence, shunning record labels on the song’s chorus. He exclaims, “If one more label try to stop me / It’s gon’ be some dreadhead n****s in your lobby.” Fresh off their ColleGrove collaboration, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz contributed guest features. Wayne’s verse particularly aligned with the song’s message as he was engulfed in label drama at the time, preventing Tha Carter V from being released. “No Problem” reached No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for two consecutive weeks and won a Grammy award for Best Rap Performance.
While Tory Lanez is currently in very different circumstances than he was seven years ago, 2016 was undeniably his breakout year. His debut single, “Say It” was quite successful as it was also his first song to peak at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for four weeks and also sat atop the US Rhythmic chart. The song was released in 2015 but was the lead single from his 2016 debut album, I Told You. “Say It” remains the biggest hit of Tory Lanez’s rap career and is currently 3x platinum.
“Black Beatles” is one of Rae Sremmurd’s biggest hits to date. The SremmLife 2 single featuring Gucci Mane conquered social media in 2016 as it became the soundtrack to the viral “Mannequin Challenge” trend. The song was a major moment for Gucci Mane, who had been released from prison earlier in the year and continued a prolific run of guest features. Not only did it top the Billboard Hot 100, marking both Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane’s first chart-topping single, “Black Beatles” sat at No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Rap Songs, and the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts for the last six weeks of 2016.
By 2016, G-Eazy had been on a run of releasing nonstop hits. He had just released his fourth album When It’s Dark Out, which remains his biggest album to date. While the album and its lead single, “Me, Myself & I” were both released in 2015, the hit single sat atop the rap charts during the first quarter of 2016. A collaboration with Bebe Rexha, “Me, Myself & I” is still one of the biggest hits of both of their careers. The song held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Rap Songs chart for nine weeks.
DRAM had released his breakthrough single in 2015 with “Cha Cha” but “Broccoli” marked a new phase in his career. The 2016 hit became the lead single for his debut album, Big Baby DRAM. It is now the biggest song of his career, achieving 7x platinum status in 2018. Also on “Broccoli” is Lil Yachty, who was in the middle of his breakout moment with the release of his debut mixtape. A feel-good pop song with a light-hearted instrumental and bubbly chorus, the song became a massive crossover hit for both artists through its production and Lil Yachty’s auto-tuned verse. While it reached No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts, “Broccoli” remained in the top spot on the Rap Songs chart for nine consecutive weeks. It was also nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 2017 Grammys.
The success of “Panda” in 2016 was undeniable. One of the best-charting rap songs of 2016, Desiigner’s debut single was an immediate hit. The track had the ultimate cosign from his GOOD Music boss Kanye West as it was prominently sampled on “Pt. 2” from The Life of Pablo. “Panda” introduced the world to Desiigner’s choppy flow and animated ad-libs that landed him a spot on the 2016 XXL Freshman Class, as well as a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance. The hit record sat atop the Rap Chart for a whopping 15 consecutive weeks, not to mention its No. 1 positions on other charts for multiple weeks as well. Like each of these tracks, “Panda” was one of the No. 1 rap songs that helped define 2016 as a memorable year.

Los Angeles natives and now frequent collaborators Blxst and Bino Rideaux are back once again with more new music. Consistently over the past four years, the duo has released a new Sixtape every other year. The same remains true with Sixtape 3 now available on all streaming platforms. Both ultra-talented singers and rappers, Blxst and Bino have formed a pretty formidable duo in the West Coast scene. While they might not be the names you immediately mention, you cannot deny they are bringing a unique flavor.
The Sixtape series is known for its earworm hooks and effortless flows over trap and R&B beats. That trend continues here in the third installment. Blxst and Bino Rideaux make it look easy, especially on songs like “Doin Yo Stuff.” It is the ultimate love-making song with bouncy West Coast influence in its production and auto-tune-laced vocals. The melody that Blxst and Bino provide here is so smooth and effortless.
The R&B hits continue on the following track “Get Away.” It is another love cut but this one possesses more emotional weight that shows both artists missing their partners. Country artist Morgan Wallen is known for pulling surprises on his fans (he recently shaved off his iconic mullet) and his Thursday night concert in Pittsburgh was no exception as the country singer mixed up genres a little bit at his show and brought out a surprise guest- Wiz Khalifa.
Wiz, a Pittsburgh native, has reportedly been a fan of Wallen’s for some time and has attended some of his concerts in the past as just a fan (taking obligatory post-show photos, obviously) and the two have become friends. On Thursday, the PNC Arena was already packed to its full 40,000-person capacity and going crazy during Wallen’s set when Khalifa appeared amidst flames onstage and started performing “Black and Yellow” with Wallen acting as sort of a hype man.
Wallen was in Pittsburgh as part of his “One Night at a Time Tour” while Wiz is preparing for the next leg of his own tour in September.
A few hours after sharing some highlights to his Instagram story, Wiz dropped a new single- “Oakland Originals,” a collab with Chevy Woods.
The 2024 Presidential Election is still over a year away, but newcomer candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has already taken an L following his recent performance of Eminem‘s hit “Lose Yourself” at a campaign event in Iowa as Eminem’s legal team sent a cease and desist order requesting that Ramaswamy not use Em’s intellectual property at political events.
Ramaswamy first performed the song karaoke-style at the Iowa State Fair in an appearance with Gov. Kim Reynolds. He said that the song was his favorite walkout song for a campaign event. (CNN has a video of the performance.)
Eminem’s legal team reportedly reached out to music licenser BMI, who then sent a letter to Ramaswamy’s lawyer that read as follows:
Dear Mr. Roberts:
This letter serves as notice to you pursuant to the BMI Music License for Political Entities or Organizations entered into by Broadcast Music, Inc. (‘BMI) and Vivek 2024 on May 24, 2023 (theAgreement**) that BMI has received a communication from Marshall B. Mathers, III, professionally known as Eminem, objecting to the Vivek Ramaswamy campaign’s use of Eminem’s musical compositions (the “Eminem Works”) and requesting that BMI remove all Eminem Works from the Agreement.
As such, pursuant to Paragraph 2(a) of the Agreement, this letter serves as notice that the Eminem Works are excluded from the Agreement effective immediately. BMI will consider any performance of the Eminem Works by the Vivek 2024 campaign from this date forward to be a material breach of the Agreement for which BMI reserves all rights and remedies with respect thereto.

Following the raid on Polo G’s Los Angeles mansion earlier this week which resulted in the Chicago slang spitter’s arrest for weapons possession and his brother, Trench Baby, being charged with armed robbery.
The LAPD says that the raid stemmed from an armed robbery that occurred in Grenada Hills on August 15, where Trench Baby was accused of robbing a videographer scheduled to shoot a music video that day. It is alleged that he told the man to empty his pockets and even made him wire money to him into bank account.
When Trench Baby was arrested, police found a small baggy of unknown drugs in his pockets. Polo was arrested for illegally possessing a short barrel rifle that was found in his home during the raid.
Both men were released on bond on Thursday, but were both immediately rearrested by Burbank Police for a separate incident. TheSource.com will update the story of their rearrest as more details develop.

In a recent TikTok video from Kim and North’s joint account, the two are having a blast in Tokyo, Japan. Some of Kim K’s friends are with them on this trip, but that is not what is interesting here. North West’s choice of clothing is what has some people talking and saying “Wait a minute!?” For those who are Kanye West super fans, back in the early 2000s, he was known for rocking jeans and striped polo t-shirts.
North is sharing some heavy influence from her daddy’s early interview before the release of his debut album. Kanye wore a striped orange and blue polo over a green button-up underneath, along with a pair of jeans. The daughter of the aspiring lawyer is skipping through the streets of Tokyo wearing almost an identical set and lip-syncing to Estelle’s smash hit “American Boy.” Ironically, that song features Ye and talks about Estelle wanting to meet a man who can take her around the world. Kind of like how Kim and North traveled across the globe to an unfamiliar place.

As for the budding star that is Rob49, he is also riding a massive wave of success. The New Orleans, Louisiana native is having a big 2023. He put out his sixth album 4GOD II, scoring some huge features such as Roddy Ricch, G Herbo, DaBaby, and more. A little bit later Rob released the deluxe as well. Of course, the reason for him and Travis becoming closer is due heavily to their effort together on the track off UTOPIA, “TOPIA TWINS.” It is a wild party-ready banger with them sharing a verse and with 21 Savage making an appearance, it is a standout moment for sure.
Their brotherhood is now stronger than ever with this video showing them tearing it up at the club. The DJ is playing “TOPIA TWINS” and Travis and Rob49 go absolutely bonkers. Travis is hysterically slapping the wall behind him. Rob is flashing his expensive diamond jewelry and a friend who is recording it is screaming at the top of his lungs.
