Wendy Williams Rumored To Be On the Verge of a Podcast Deal

wendy williams309

The Wendy Williams Show may be gone, for now, but that’s not the end of Wendy. According to TheJasmineBrand, Williams is currently staring down a multi-million dollar podcast deal.

On Fox Soul, host Al Reynolds spoke to the forthcoming deal, citing it as “word on the streets,” emphasizing the credibility of the murmurs by stating “these are the deep deep streets.”

He added, “Now, we know that Spotify gave Joe Rogan $100 million. Everybody know that you heard it first right here on ‘Fox Soul,’ that I think that Wendy Williams is up to something and that’s why she’s not posting or anything. I think this is a lead-up to a bigger announcement that we’re going to see coming down the pipe on her newfound home.”

In fall 2022, Sherri Shepherd will officially host her own talk show. Titled Sherri, the show will replace The Wendy Williams Show. According to Variety, Williams is currently battling health-related issues. Sherri will be produced by the same company behind Wendy Williams, Debmar-Mercury of Lionsgate. During her hiatus, Shepherd has been one of many guest hosts that have rotated throughout the season. Sherri Shepherd will executive produce her new show with her producing partner, Jawn Murray. The Wendy Williams Show executive producer and showrunner, David Perler, will join Sherri.

Last week, Williams made headlines when she filed a lawsuit against Wells Fargo over claims made by a former employee who claimed Wendy Williams denied her access to “Wendy’s financial matters.”

According to the lawsuit, the bank withheld access to her “financial assets for weeks without presenting her or her counsel with an acceptable reason or evidence to support its judgment.” Wells Fargo is also accused of failing to honor her power of attorney, prompting Williams to pursue a restraining order against the bank. Williams also asked the court to “reopen any frozen accounts or assets” and provide him “access to all associated statements.” Williams also requested that the bank be barred from “freezing any and all assets including funds that have been withdrawn and/or withheld.”

Pete Davidson Seems To Have Deleted His New Instagram Account Hours After Using It To Troll Kanye

In today’s Pete Davidson news, we are saddened to report that his Instagram has, once again, gone dark. The circumstances surrounding the deactivation are a little murky, so here is a very important timeline of events.

Davidson was pretty active on Instagram pre-2018, when he would post various SNL clips and pictures of sunsets, you know, normal Instagram stuff. Then, when he became “official” with Ariana Grande, Davidson soon became an internet celebrity, which he famously did not like. He deleted the app after their very public breakup.

Fast forward to February 2022, when Davidson reactivated his account, shocking the internet once again. Instead of posting anything, he instead linked a YouTube video in his bio, to a 10-second clip of Rupert Pupkin’s stand-up. In the clip, Pupkin says, “Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime.”

This isn’t the first time Davidson has referred to himself as a king. But, the seemingly harmless clip was interpreted as a dig at Kanye West, who has been publically mocking Davidson for the past few months. West also followed the comedian last week on the app, but Davidson didn’t follow back, only following two users: his girlfriend Kim Kardashian and Sebastian Stan, for some reason.

The comedian then began posting a clip to his story, seemingly of his latest horror movie The Home with director James DiMonaco, director of The Purge.

Then, mere hours later, the clip was gone, as was Davidson’s whole account, like a comet burning bright for a night, then deactivating itself. Fan update accounts everywhere were left distraught. Comedy is dead, once again.

While this doesn’t confirm much (maybe the director simply didn’t want behind-the-scenes footage online) the timing is interesting, as Kanye has been doubling down on his Instagram posts over the last few days.

Cypress Hill Has Been Banned From ‘SNL’ For 30 Years, According To Cypress Hill

It takes a lot to get banned from Saturday Night Live. Sinead O’Connor ripped up a photo of the Pope. Kanye West ranted pro-Trump nonsense. Martin Lawrence ranted about feminine hygiene. The Replacements got too drunk. The hardcore band Fear destroyed the stage. Elvis Costello played the wrong song (then later got un-banned, because he’s Elvis Costello).

Cypress Hill also got banned — or so they claim. Their crime? On a 1993 episode alongside host Shannen Doherty, one member of the legendary hip-hop group, DJ Muggs, smoked a joint onstage. According to The Wrap, the group talked about the incident at a TCA panel for the forthcoming doc Cypress Hill: Insane in the Brain.

“I kind of like the fact that we’re banned,” said member Sen Dog. “The whole thing about being banned, it’s punk rock in itself. I would like to leave it like that. If the guys wanted to do it, then that’d be something we could talk about or whatever, but I kind of like that idea of being the outlaws that are not allowed around town.”

B Real, another bandmate, agreed. “I don’t mind the ban aspect of it,” he said, “because, you know, we’re in the company of some greats that have been banned, and that’s OK with us.”

Thing is, they might be banned. An SNL insider told The Wrap that there’s actually no ban on any act, including Cypress Hill (or, for that matter, Kanye).

Still, if Cypress Hill — who, in the ‘90s, became the first hip-hop act sell multi-platinum albums — know what they’ll do if they ever return to 30 Rock.

“We had a plan that we were going to do that would have just blown their goddamn minds if we had done it,” said B Real. “But it turned out the way it turned out. So, if we were to get unbanned and do it again, probably the plan we had set in the first place will initially take off and we’ll get banned again.”

At least they didn’t get banned from The Simpsons.

Megan Thee Stallion On ‘Euphoria’: ‘Girl, Get It Together!’

Just like the rest of us, Megan Thee Stallion is glued to the screen when Euphoria is on. With the recent announcement of her big screen acting debut in the A24 film F*cking Identical Twins with hilarious people like Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, and SNL’s Bowen Yang, the “WAP” rapper is starting to make the rounds talking TV and movies.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Megan Thee Stallion talked about watching Euphoria and that “they got me on the edge of my seat,” and praised all of the HBO Max show’s acting performances. She then perfectly verbalized what everyone is thinking when they watch Euphoria: “I know these are characters and the show is not real, but they got me yelling at the TV like, ‘Girl, get it together! What are you doing?!”

Meg also talked about being a “film buff,” who not only wants to act, but to also direct in the future. She also said Zendaya is “the best actress, and perfectly cast.” Preach, Meg. While her current acting resume includes mostly music videos and a round of Cheetos commercials she filmed for this past Super Bowl, that’s all about to change.

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Pharrell’s Reaction To Hearing Kanye’s Breakout Single In ‘Jeen-Yuhs’ Has Fans Cracking Up

February 22 was a big day for Kanye West. Not only was it the supposed release date for his new album, Donda 2, but he also held the latest stadium listening event for the album in Miami, Florida just as the second episode of the Netflix documentary about him, Jeen-Yuhs, went live. Fans have a lot of Kanye content to sort through, but one of the earliest points of discussion to emerge from the new documentary episode revolves around Kanye’s first big solo hit.

After putting in several years at Roc-A-Fella Records as a hit-making producer, Kanye was ready to show the world that he could also be a hit-making rapper in his own right. However, after being signed as an artist, he felt that he was losing momentum after the near-death auto crash that left his mouth wired shut while he recovered. Those experiences formed the basis of his breakout single, “Through The Wire,” which sampled the Chaka Khan classic “Through The Fire” and introduced Kanye as an artist that deserved to be taken seriously.

However, before he put it out, he wanted the seal of approval from some of his peers, which included Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes — whose reaction upon hearing the single for the first time has tickled fans on Twitter. As Kanye finishes playing the song’s second verse, Pharrell, apparently overcome with his impression of Kanye’s final bar, simply walks out of the studio to collect himself. When he returns, he still seems in disbelief that Kanye not only spit such a heartfelt verse, but did so with his mouth wired shut (as a bonus, the version played in the footage contains the rough vocals, which Ye re-recorded later for the version that eventually hit retail).

“That sh*t is phenomenal,” he praises. “You’re one of my favorite artists… and I only heard two records. You’re gonna make it, and when you make it, keep the same perspective. Still keep the same hunger.” While it’s arguable whether Kanye has managed to do that over the past few years, it’s still an intriguing, eye-opening look into what was undoubtedly a defining moment for the then-young producer-turned-rapper.

SOURCE SPORTS: JJ Redick Airs Out Zion Williamson On ESPN First Take

jj redick

Former NBA player and New Orleans Pelicans JJ Redick called out Zion Williamson on ESPN First Take yesterday for being a bad teammate. The reason behind Redick’s call out was because Williamson reportedly hasn’t spoken to his newest teammate CJ McCollum.

“Shows a complete lack of investment in your team, in the organization, in the city,” Redick said. “I get that [Williamson’s] hurt and away from the team, but you just traded for one of the 50 best players in the league. A guy that’s supposed to be paired with you. Reach out and say hello. This is a pattern of behavior with Zion that we are seeing again and again. And look, I was his teammate. I can describe him as a detached teammate. That is an accurate statement. This is basic level of humanity being a teammate. Send a text to a guy when he gets traded to your team. That is just normal behavior. That is bare minimum that you have to do.”

Redick didn’t hold much back in his rant, including how Williamson is a detached teammate. Williamson hasn’t played any NBA games this season and it looks like he wants no parts of the Pelicans. McCollum shouldn’t take the ghosting like move personal. Williamson been ghosting the organization for sometime now.

Donald Glover Says The Cast And Crew Of ‘Atlanta’ Laughed At The Racial Profiling They Experienced In London

In a little over a month, the long-awaited third season of Donald Glover’s Atlanta will premiere on FX, almost four years since the last season aired. Ahead of the new episodes, which are predominantly set in London, Stephen Glover, Donald’s brother, recalled that the cast and crew of the show were racially profiled while shooting scenes in London. One of the harassers claimed the group was carrying guns with them. But now Donald has clarified what he meant.

“He’s making a reference that we all have hammers, and we can just break into this place, which we kind of ignored,” Donald said during a TCA press tour. Atlanta co-writer Stefani Robinson added, “It was so insulting but not insulting at the same time because it took us five minutes to fully understand.” Naturally, the story made its way around social media, but according to Donald, the cast and crew of Atlanta didn’t take the situation as seriously as everyone else did. “That ‘racially abused’ headline about us is lame,” Donald wrote in a tweet. “The story is tru. but we were all laughin tellin it.”

Donald’s clarification comes after it was confirmed that Atlanta would come to an end after its fourth season. The news was shared by FX chairman John Landgraf, who said that the third and fourth seasons of Atlanta have already been shot.

Wendy Williams

Vlogger Tasha K responds to Wendy Williams replacement suggestions.

After 14 successful seasons, it seems that the Wendy Williams show is officially coming to an end. The 57-year-old media mogul’s show is set to be cancelled in June and said to be replaced with The Sherri Shepard show this coming Fall.

Sources close to production claimed that “The producers informed everyone that the [Wendy Show] was being canceled at the end of June. Then in the next breath they hired everyone to work on the new Sherri show.”

When the news released that The Wendy Show would be replaced, many jumped to social media to suggest who they thought would be a suitable fit for daytime television including names such as Nene Leakes, Tamar Braxton, and Tasha K.

Vlogger Tasha K, who has her own podcast, “UnWine With TashaK” on Youtube has recently been in the headlines after being ordered to pay Cardi B over 3.8 million dollars in a defamation lawsuit.

After the youtube professional caught wind of her name being brought up to replace Wendy Williams, she surprisingly stated she would rather continue with her own platform.

“Listen I’m flattered with all the Wendy compliments but I have my own show. We are legends in the making Winos! just look at Everyone dranking wine now and trying to gossip. We are #TheCulture! #Revolitionaries,” the penned with the toasted glass emojis.

While Tasha seems to want to pass the opportunity down, some fans in the comments thought that the opportunity may be good for her career at this point in time, as she stated she doesn’t have the money to pay Cardi B in a recent interview. “I ain’t got it,” the show host said when asked about her 4million dollar debt.

“Who trying to pay 4 million dollars, you got it? Let me borrow it,” Tasha stated before the interviewer suggested that her money from youtube could cover the amount “It’s good but I got two children,” Tasha responded.

How would you have felt about Tasha K taking over daytime television? We see it! Check out the full video below.
