For over twenty years, Big Brother has been captivating viewers and continues to do so. The show has gained a dedicated fan base due to its eccentric cast and memorable moments. However, in its latest season, a cast member crossed a line. 30-year-old Florida native Luke Valentine found himself in hot water after being caught on a live stream using the n-word while speaking to his other castmates.
Valentine immediately realized his mistake and tried to switch gears, but the damage was already done. He would later be removed from the house. The reality TV show’s producers, along with reps for CBS, spoke to TMZabout the incident. They also referred to the show’s zero-tolerance policy when it came to using racial slurs. “Luke violated the BIG BROTHER code of conduct, and there is zero tolerance in the house for using a racial slur. He has been removed from the house,” they said.
Big Brother Has A “Zero Tolerance” Policy For Using Racial Slurs
This is not the first time the show has been criticized for its portrayal of racism. Just last season, the first (and only so far) Black female Big Brother winner, Taylor Hale, faced constant abuse from her castmates. However, despite the onslaught of criticism she received in the house, she considers herself a “victor,” not a victim. “And if there is one word that is going to describe the season, it is resiliency. And if you were to ask yourself who was the most resilient person of the season, it was me,” she said as her former competitors prepared to make their big decision.
There are very few winners among the Black or POC castmates. Singer Tamar Braxton was the previous winner of the celebrity edition of the show. Braxton tweeted a congratulatory message to Hale on her win, writing, “Whew! But congrats.” She wasn’t the only one to lend support to Hale. Season 23 winner Xavier Prather also took to Twitter to offer some words of encouragement. “The treatment of Taylor in #BB24 is a prime example of why The Cookout was formed,” the Challenge: USA contestant tweeted in July 2022, referring to the all-Black alliance he helped build during his season.
During a recent interview with Men’s Health, 50 Cent teased his new Eminem series, 8 Mile. The series is a new take on the iconic 2002 film, and according to Fif, it’ll be just as huge. Earlier this year, he stopped by Big Boy’s Neighborhood to share the news. “I’m gonna bring 8 Mileto television,” he revealed, “We in motion.” The series is yet to have an official release date, but fans are certainly looking forward to it.
Things appear to be running smoothly so far, based on the recent interview. “I’m developing the 8 Mile film into a series,” 50 Cent told Men’s Health. “So this sh*t is expected to be just as big as the feature film, just huge. It’ll be huge. The interest in it is because the time period of 8 Mile was capturing per the bat, so as we move it into modern times you’ll see things about how we function now, how technology changed the way people enter the music business.”
50 Cent then went on to explain how the industry has changed with the rise of new technology. “When you leave them out there and they reach the audience before they reach the record company? Because if you got a computer and you got a decent microphone in front of it,” he explains. “You can buy the beat from YouTube, record your record…soon as you do that, you’re in the music business. It’s just how much interest are you generating.”
Ryan Seacrest is one of the biggest names in all of television. Although he doesn’t host as many shows as he used to, he still has a bit of an empire thanks to numerous shows he helped executive produce. For example, he was a huge part of the success of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Of course, in his early career, he was known for his work on American Idol. Now, however, he is getting a huge new opportunity that is most definitely going to turn some heads. He will now be the host of Wheel Of Fortune.
Pat Sajak had been doing the show for over 40 years. However, he decided that it was time to finally retire. Since that time, Seacrest has been the one angling for the job. In the end, he won out and it is easy to see why. He has a ton of broadcasting experience, and he is one of the best people out there for this kind of gig. Taking to Instagram, Seacrest revealed just how excited he is to get started on this endeavor.
“I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest explained in his post. “I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them. Pat, I love the way you’ve always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition.”
While this may be a huge change for fans of the show, others simply saw this coming a mile away. Sajak has been at it for so long that it will be refreshing to see Seacrest in the position. FX’s Dave is a rollicking good time, showcasing how rap fame and the pursuit of said fame can affect a person and their relationships. The only downside of this Hulu hit show is that Lil Dicky hasn’t released new music. The show’s creator and “rapper’s rapper,” Dave Burd, is finally coming out with an album, the soundtrack to Dave, after not doing so for eight years. His last album, Professional Rapper, is the only studio album to his credit. He also hasn’t gone on a true tour in five years. Unfortunately, TV can do that to a budding rapper.
Speaking to Variety, Lil Dicky was excited about this potential album: “It’s a really strong body of work that I’m super proud of. I was surprised when I took a step back and looked at the inventory of stuff that [has] made it into the show — ‘Oh, my God, there’s like a great album here of work that can live on its own.’” During Dave outros and credits, you can hear snippets of new, unreleased music that Lil Dicky has been hoarding. Twenty-second clips pave the way for three-minute songs on an album that’s sure to excite long-waiting fans.

Lil Dicky is well-known for going meta and providing social commentary on what the rap industry is and his part in it. So it stands to reason that this upcoming soundtrack album will have some of the classic Dicky pastiche. Expect random conversations with himself, popular songs from the TV show, and a ton of appearances by Dave hypeman Gata.
The soundtrack album, set to release at the end of this summer, is Lil Dicky’s first full-length project in almost a decade. He believes there’s a full track list from the three seasons of Dave, the third and most recent season finishing its air run in May of this year. The rapper created a climate crisis-focused “Earth” collaboration in 2019 with almost everyone in music (as well as a Leo DiCaprio guest spot). He also got wide notoriety from his “Freaky Friday” single and music video with Chris Brown. Dave Burd’s continual knack for getting uber-famous people to do things has made his music and his show top-notch entertainment, as it shows a different side to these celebrities.
Kanye West has a lot of titles attached to him, but one that he apparently pursued that never got to manifest was “TV show mogul.” Moreover, according to reports from Far Out Magazine, the Chicago artist pitched a series to HBO back in 2007 that never got to see the light of day. Until now, that is, as a leak of the show’s presented pilot apparently found its way online thanks to Internet sleuths. According to reports and rumors complied over the years, the show was intended to be titled “A Little Inappropriate,” perhaps a little too fitting for a character like him. Furthermore, he wanted to fuse“Curb Your Enthusiasm” with “Entourage,” as he’s a big fan of Larry David’s work.
Other names involved in the cast were Don C, friend and designer, rapper GLC, Jeff Garlin (of “Curb” fame), and comedians JB Smoove and Wyatt Cenac. “Kanye knew he wasn’t a good improviser,” Cenac stated to Vulture back in 2013. “He’d read something that Seinfeld said about surrounding himself with better talent and that he would rise to the occasion. And so that was his hope.”
The leaked pilot above sees the 46-year-old juggle a CD signing with his rowdy crew of colleagues. Afterwards, he’s worried about bad fast-food breath when visiting a terminally ill fan for the Make-A-Wish foundation. However, Kanye West (whose Bape hoodie is zipped up to his face) discovers that the teen isn’t actually that sick. But he does think that he’s a better rapper than him. For fans of shows like “Curb Your Enthusiasm” or even something like “Veep,” this premise sounds right up those shows’ alleys.
According to reports, the Yeezy creative had already shot interviews for the first season. They included Nelson George, Professor Boyce Watkins, and Cornel West. Still, eventually HBO decided to pass. “HBO was like, ‘We didn’t pay for a show with these no-name motherf***ers. Find a way to put some Kanye in this,’” Cenac claimed. Outkast legend Big Boi is about to take the reins on a new Pimp My Ride style Hulu series. The show, titled Big RV Remix will be hosted by Big Boi and business partner Janice Faison. Together they own Celebrity Trailers a company that aims to expand upon the luxury of larger vehicles. The show follows them as they take on extravagant requests from clients. Its official summary elaborates. “From trailers and campers to sprinters and school buses if it has wheels, Big Boi and Janice are ready to make their clients’ vehicle renovation dreams come true.”
The show is set to premiere on Hulu on July 21st. While Big Boi has made a number of appearances on a variety of shows this will be the rapper’s first time stepping into host duties. It’s another new medium the rapper is stepping into after trying his hand at baseball announcing last month. During a May 25th game between the Braves and Phillies, Big Boi got to step into the announcing booth to help call the game. He’s certainly made it clear that his versatile talents are in no way limited to just music.

Musically, Big Boi’s most recent full length outing came on Big Sleepover in 2021. The album was made with frequent Outkast and Big Boi collaborator Sleepy Brown. Big Boi has only been a part of one new single so far this year. He joined C-Bone on his new song “Tell C-Bone” back in March.
Last year, news broke that Big Boi was filing for divorce from his wife Sherlita Patton. LL Cool J may be returning to music very soon, but does that mean he’s finished with acting?. The legendary artist has had a successful career in the entertainment industry spanning almost four decades, including ventures into film and television. However, it seems LL Cool J is preparing to make a comeback to the music scene. The iconic rapper has recently confirmed that he will be releasing a new album. This would mark his first release in a decade. Excitingly, he has enlisted a talented lineup of fellow MCs to join him on the project. Reports from AllHipHop state that Eminem, Nas, Fat Joe, Rick Ross, and Saweetie will appear on the album, with Q-Tip serving as the sole producer.
The upcoming album coincides with the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop and showcases the evolution of the genre through its diverse range of featured artists. LL Cool J previously collaborated with Fat Joe on the remix of “I Shot Ya” in 1995. However, fans highly anticipate his collaborations with Nas and Eminem as LL Cool J has not previously worked with either artist. LL Cool J had originally planned to collaborate with Eminem on his shelved project, The G.O.A.T 2. Still, LL has assured fans that they can expect something special in the near future. So, LL is finally finished with acting, right? Well, not quite.
LL Cool J pleasantly surprised fans by making an unexpected appearance at the end of Season 2 of NCIS: Hawaii. This followed the recent conclusion of NCIS: Los Angeles. The 55-year-old rap legend is known for his role as Sam Hanna on the Los Angeles iteration of the show. He spent ten years in the role, leaving many fans sad when the show ended. As such, they were pleasantly surprised when LL made a cameo in the final episode of Season 2 of NCIS: Hawaii. Excitingly, he will continue to guest-star alongside Vanessa Lachey in Season 3.
Vanessa Lachey made a statement about the addition of LL’s character to the show. “One of the most beautiful things about working on NCIS: Hawaii is the show’s ability to bring the franchise together,” Lachey said. “We have had so much fun spreading the aloha to NCIS and NCIS: L.A. with the triple crossover. Now, we have the amazing opportunity to bring Sam Hanna to Hawaii to help the island solve some cases and maybe have a few laughs in the process. Welcome to the ohana, Todd! Lip Sync Battle is a fun, high-energy show that’s had a great foothold on an audience since about 2015. Based on a segment from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Lip Sync Battle takes celebrities and makes them compete against each other in a lip sync battle. Throughout the many episodes and years with the show, there have been some great moments to record and remember.
Whether it’s a celebrity failing to lip sync their own song or someone really understanding how to tear it up on the sync, there are many moments that make Lip Sync Battle an absolute riot to watch. Whether they’ve made us laugh, cringe, or do a little bit of both, there are a ton of moments to remember. We’ll be going through as many as we can remember, starting with the lowest pick and working our way up below.
Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto
It’s bound to be entertaining. That’s likely what the showrunners said when they put two Star Trek co-stars in the same room for a lip-sync battle. Both stars did great in their respective matches, Quinto batting up after an impressive performance by Saldana. Quinto started great with an upbeat rendition of Freedon! 90, and continued to keep that fire going with Missy Elliott’s Get Ur Freak On. Saldana didn’t bother holding anything back, emphasizing a heavy hard rock and rap style by starting off strong with a Twenty-One Pilots song. After finishing Stressed Out, she performed her own version of No Scrubs.
Dwayne Johnson and Jimmy Fallon
One of the best episodes of Lip Sync Battle is between two iconic celebrities. Jimmy is the star of the show, and Dwayne is an iconic legend, both for comedy and in any other role he finds himself in. The Lip Sync Battle between these two was definitely a sight to see. The Rock brought on the heat with his own version of Stayin Alive, while Fallon sun Like a Prayer. Fallon’s energy is contagious, continuing in his other performances throughout the show.
The Entire Cast of Stranger Things
Another fun episode of Lip Sync Battle is when they switch up the norm. Sure, it can be fun listening to just one person at a time, but getting an entire group in on the mix is a surefire way for a blast. The result of all these iconic heads singing at the same time is a must-see TV moment. Because of how popular the cast is, the Lip Sync Battle arena becomes a quick and easy collaboration, including names like Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Finn Wolfhard. While the performance by Schnapp was great for Wolfhard, the Lip Synce by Matarazzo and McLaughlin took the cake. They performed I’m Bad, taking the competition without much of a fight. As a group for another episode, they stand a chance to reappear in the near future for another lip sync battle.
Anna Kendrick and John Krasinski
On the fourth episode, we were pleasantly surprised by a great Lip Sync Battle between John Krasinski and Anna Kendrick. While they both were stacked to take the win, Anna Kendrick surprised the audience with her rendition of Booty toward the end of the round. It resulted in a cameo featuring Jennifer Lopez, which helped secure her victory. However, before the avalanche, Kendrick killed it with a few top pop-rock hits, such as Steal My Girl by One Direction. He also managed to score a pretty good high point with his performance for Bye Bye Bye by NSYNC. In the end though, Anna took the cake with a great performance and even greater cameo at the end.
Ricky Martin and Kate Upton
Having these two in the same ring for a lip-sync battle is a tough one. Both are great celebrity guests, one known for pop and the other for modeling work. Neither one is a stranger to the camera or microphone, which is likely why the episode is such a hit with those two in it. While Ricky has the mic experience, Upton wasn’t about to just go down without a fight. Upton did an impressive performance by taking on Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time with great excitement and flourish. However, she had Ricky to compete with, who turned up the heat using his flexible feet. He went for Kenny Loggin’s Footloose and absolutely killed it on stage.
Neil Patrick Harris and Lecerne Cox vs Taraji Henson and Hailee Steinfeld
Later down the line of the show, we get a special treat in the form of a multi-person cast for the show. Season four starts off with a bang during a Micheal Jackson Celebration episode. The episode includes iconic names like Laverne Cox, Neil Patrick Harris, Taraji Henson, and Hailee Steinfeld. Because it was a Micheal Jackson episode, it was just full of memorable tracks and their lip-syncing wannabes. For second-time runners Gox and Henson, winning was important, which is why they gave it everything they had throughout the show. Even the fan audience got involved throughout the episode. We rank this one pretty highly because the goal was to help immortalize one of pop’s greatest singers, and it totally did! As far as we care, that episode passed the test.
It’s impossible to have a good list of these best episodes without including the Pentatonix one! The more the merrier, and with this episode, it gets pretty merry. We loved watching the Pentatonix members go to town on their lip-syncing skills. The voice (or in this case, voice adjacent) talents of Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Scott Hoying, and Kevin Olusola brought a fire to the stage that couldn’t be put out. Lots of great songs got shown off in this episode, including Dinah Jane hitting us with You’re Welcome from the Moana soundtrack. Lauren Jauregui gave us her rendition of Rehab, while Normani Kordei got us with Bootylicious by Destiny’s Child. The winner of it all, Ally Brooke, definitely deserved her praise. She did an impressive combination of J-Lo’s On the Floor with Selena’s Como la Flor to perfection.
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan
Our list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the episode with Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan. These two personalities on the same floor makes for some great entertainment, especially when they start breaking out the dance moves. Because this episode was highly anticipated, the hype surrounding the actual songs was crazy high and the tension was real. Tatum started us off by giving an impressive rendition of Let It Go from Frozen. (Too bad he couldn’t belt it out on the account of it being a lip-sync battle). Jenna responded by giving a great performance of Cold Hearted by Paula Abdul. And while Jenna did show up with a great parody version of Pony from Magic Mike, eventually Tatum had the greatest performance with Run the World, Queen B making a cameo appearance.
Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt
Both of these stars were prime picking for Lip Sync Battles, considering their background. As stars for pieces like Into The Woods and Les Miserables, both Hathaway, and Blunt are great contenders for a passionate winner and a stellar performance. This episode is one of the most hype in existence because of the sheer talent of these two. Both went all out and brought the heat for the audience. To start everyone off, Hathaway delivered a great Mary Blige impression that had the audience nearly singing along. To follow up on that great opener, Blint performed Backstreet’s No Diggity. During round two, Blint started us off by giving us a taste of her Janis Joplin impression. However, Hathaway truly stole the win here by giving us a great rendition of Wrecking Ball, almost to the same degree as the music video, performance-wise.
Tom Holland and Zendaya
One of the best episodes we’ve seen to date is obvious. Who doesn’t like Spiderman? The lip sync battle-off between Tom Holland and Zendaya was a great episode that fans can hardly forget. This greatly entertaining musical stunt was a nice way to show off both Holland’s and Zendaya’s impressive dance capabilities. During Zendaya’s performance, they worked great to mimic Bruno Mars during the performance of 24k Magic. During the performance, the crowd and audience were overjoyed to watch Zendaya shower Holland with cash right before his performance. When it came to Holland’s turn, no one expected his outstanding go at Singin in the Rain. Right after, he went for Umbrella by Rihanna. In these two key performances, Holland was almost perfect, taking over the lip sync battle and the audience by storm.
