Megan Thee Stallion Has Reportedly Filed A Restraining Order Against Tory Lanez

In August 2023, Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison in connection to the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Over a year later, the “Roc Steady” rapper recounted the life-changing incident in her documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words. But in Megan’s eyes that chapter of her life is not over.

Today (December 17), Megan Thee Stallion is looking to end things for good. According to TMZ, Megan Thee Stallion filed a restraining order against citing “ongoing harassment.”

In the documents obtained by the outlet, Meg’s legal team claims to prison phone call logs of Tory Lanez where he allegedly plots to terrorize her with the help of others.

One of the individuals supposed connected to the supposed “conspiratorial relationship” is blogger Milagro Gramz (real name Elizabeth Milagro Cooper). Meg went on to accuse Cooper of accepting payments from Lanez to aid in his “psychological warfare.” Cooper vehemently denies this claim.

Megan filed a similar case against Cooper accusing her of purposely spreading misinformation during Lanez’s trial, online bullying, and defamation of character.

Megan Thee Stallion’s goal should the restraining order be granted is the courts to force Lanez from “contacting, harassing, or intimidating her” both “directly or through third parties.”

Tory Lanez’s “The Color Violet” Reaches Historic Spotify Milestone

Tory Lanez has maintained his musical career in spite of his legal troubles. The Canadian rapper and singer is currently serving a decade in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Most people assumed his career would come to a screeching halt as a result. Miraculously, Tory Lanez has stayed relevant. He has continued to drop new songs and coin new release series. On December 16, however, Lanez’s pop culture relevance reached a new height. The singer’s 2021 song “The Color Violet” reached a billion streams on Spotify.

Tory Lanez’s song becomes the latest song to join the exclusive billion stream club. Other Canadian stars who have achieved this impressive feat include “Starboy” by The Weeknd and “One Dance” by Drake. It is not an easy milestone to hit, but “The Color Violet” is a unique entry on this list. Tory Lanez’s song has managed to reach a billion streams despite not being featured in any of Spotify’s editorial playlisting. It’s reached this impressive number solely on the strength of the singer’s dedicated fanbase. Tory Lanez has accused Spotify of not incorporating his music into its playlists since 2021.

Tory Lanez Is First Indie Artist To Have A Billion Stream Song

He hopped on Instagram to criticize the platform for trying to bury his songs. He also noted that he is an independent artist. “I just ask at this point, I get treated fairly,” he wrote. “As an independent artist and as a Black Business. I actively still make the platforms money with my music.” Tory Lanez then claimed that the platform should be giving him a “fair” shake despite his complicated personal life. He deemed it “not right” of Spotify to “censor” his art. “It should not be right for any platform to censor and silene me from the editorial playlist,” he concluded. “Or home pages of these platforms. [They] help to give eyeballs to young artists. I stayed coll [sic] for the last 2 projects, but this is just not fair.”

“The Color Violet” represents a first on multiple fronts. It’s the first Tory Lanez song to reach a billion streams on Spotify. It’s also the first song by an independent artist to reach a billion streams. This speaks to Lanez’s fervent fans, as well as his ability to promote and cater to them. Tory Lanez recently appeared on the DDG song “Handling Business,” where he talked about the Megan Thee Stallion shooting in detail.

DDG Recruits Tory Lanez & Real Boston Richey For His “Handling Business” EP

This weekend has been another eventful one for DDG. Not everything has been peachy keen, though. The Michigan rapper and YouTuber has been tied up in some more controversy surrounding Halle Bailey, in part anyway. He appeared on plaqueboymax’s livestream recently, and during their link-up, he was asked who his favorite ex-girlfriend was. They were doing a Q&A segment called “Dry Ones” where if you didn’t answer your question, you would have to eat a biscuit. He decided to play along and say his best ex “besides family,” meaning Halle Bailey, was a girl whose name started with a “K.” However, only the latter part of his answer got clipped by gossip outlets and it led him to call them out for creating a false narrative.

So, yes, it’s been another bump in the road for DDG, but he’s looking to move past it all with some new music. This time around, he’s here with HANDLING BUSINESS, a new four-track ep which includes a past release with Real Boston Richey, “WHAT U BAD FOR.” It also contains the title track, featuring a fresh verse recorded by Tory Lanez from his prison cell. It’s been the cut that’s been the most talked about for that reason, but also because some of his bars on his fiery and candid verse. If you want a more in-depth breakdown of it, check out this link, and this one. Additionally, there’s two moodier solo cuts “HANDS IN THE AIR” and “REASON.” Hit up the streaming embeds below to see what DDG is putting down.

Tory Lanez Shares His Most Personal & Heartbreaking Track To Date In The “Lost Tapes” Series

Tory Lanez is creating some discourse around his recent verse on DDG’s new single “HANDLING BUSINESS.” On it, he raps about his one regret on the night of the Megan Thee Stallion shooting. “The only one thing I regret on that night, is jumping up outta the pool with Kylie.” There he’s speaking about the video that was going around the internet of him taking a dip with Megan and Kylie Jenner. Then, he shouts out Drake and backs him amid all of his issues. They used to be sworn enemies, but things have been smoothed out over time. “I be up praying and waiting for the day that n****s come for me the way they did Drizzy / I got the card in the wallet, and big brodie’s problems are my problems, so f*** how you feelin’ about it / Brodie gone stand on his own, but 2024, it ain’t no fair ones in Toronto.”

But this isn’t the only release from him this weekend that’s getting people’s attention. Once again, Tory Lanez has come back with more “Lost Tapes.” This week’s edition consists of “Honest,” a hookup related cut from 2019, and “Losing Friends,” a recording from 2018. If you have been following him for a while, or did heavily in 2018, the lyrics may hit a little harder for you. That year, Lanez had lost five friends in various ways with just four months to go. On the pre-chorus, he sounds like he’s beginning to tear up while rapping with a lot of passion and emotion. You can check both of them out with the links below.

Yesterday, my n**** E committed suicide
Sometimes I realize in this world, this s*** is do or die
See one of my realest n****s, meet up and barely take no pictures

And I know we came from [?] but we kept it G, though
Used to pick me up from my apartment, right there on [Lisa?]

Tory Lanez Makes His Support For Drake Crystal Clear On New Verse

Tory Lanez is back with a new verse from behind bars, and unsurprisingly, it stirred up a lot of conversation. Of course, this is not like his Lost Tapes series of vault picks and unreleased gems, but a more fresh perspective altogether. One of the most interesting parts of the Brampton rapper and singer’s new verse, which lands on DDG’s “HANDLING BUSINESS,” concerns some references to his fellow Canadian, Drake. “I be up praying and waiting for the day that n***as come for me the way they did Drizzy,” he raps on the cut. “I got the card in the wallet, and big brodie’s problems are my problems, so f**k how you feelin’ about it / Brodie gone stand on his own, but 2024, it ain’t no fair ones in Toronto.”

While this is most likely in reference to the explosive battle between Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and so many others this year, it could also be seen as a regular comment on the consequences of fame. Either way, Tory Lanez has come a long way when it comes to the 6ix God. They previously had beef in the mid-2010s or so, but for years now, they’ve kept that hatchet buried in the dirt.

Tory Lanez Shouts Out Drake On New Song

Another notable part of this new Tory Lanez verse is when he seems to address the night of the Megan Thee Stallion shooting at a Kylie Jenner party. “The only one thing I regret on that night, is jumping up outta the pool with Kylie,” he raps on the song. That whole saga continues to this day, although it also concerns more of a fanbase war in addition to all the legal updates.

Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion’s legal action against YouTuber Milagro Gramz now alleges that Tory Lanez conspired with Gramz to launch a campaign against Megan by allegedly relaying false information. Along with other appeals, motions for reversal, and additional claims, this shooting situation is still incredibly delicate. But at least other conflicts, such as the Drake beef, remain firm in their resolution. Hopefully one day Tory can also fully move past his conviction and focus on other endeavors while doing time.

Tory Lanez Reveals Surprising Regret In New Verse Aimed At Megan Thee Stallion & Kylie Jenner

Tory Lanez has been releasing a lot of music as part of his Lost Tapes series, but he’s also even offered some verses from behind bars. Moreover, he recently featured on DDG’s track “HANDLING BUSINESS,” on which he made some pretty interesting remarks in the eyes of fans. “The only one thing I regret on that night, is jumping up outta the pool with Kylie,” Tory raps on the cut, seemingly referencing the night of the Megan Thee Stallion shooting, which took place outside of Kylie Jenner’s party. The court convicted him of the crime, and although that saga is not over, he’s also looking forward to moving past it.

Referencing the debacle on wax probably won’t help much in that area, though. Regardless, there’s so much going on that it probably wouldn’t do much to stop the narrative even if it did outwardly ask to move past it. For example, Megan Thee Stallion recently accused Tory Lanez of conspiring with Milagro Gramz to spread misinformation about their case. “In one phone call, [Tory and his father] confidently asserted that [Megan] would be unable to prove that [Tory] paid Defendant for attacking [Megan],” her lawyers reportedly alleged.

Tory Lanez Speaks On Megan Thee Stallion & Kylie Jenner In New Song

However, it looks like Megan Thee Stallion and Milagro Gramz will have to mediate in order to resolve their legal issue regarding the Tory Lanez case, as the court ordered a compromise. “Rather than rebut the allegations online, Plaintiff chose to use the Courts to intimidate and silence the Defendant from exercising her First Amendment rights to publish her opinions and beliefs,” Gramz’s legal team alleged. “And also to serve as a warning to other critics that if the Plaintiff does not like what you say about her, you will likely have to deal with a federal lawsuit.”

Meanwhile, amid more new music from Tory Lanez, we’re sure we haven’t heard the end of these Megan Thee Stallion reflections. Still, it’s interesting for him to bring up the situation with Kylie Jenner as a whole, as he might consider a more big-picture perspective these days. No matter what these individuals in this situation express, fans will likely continue to fight over it for months to come.

DDG Previews New Song With Tory Lanez Verse Recorded In Prison

DDG is famous for multiple reasons. He broke out as a YouTuber and social media personality. His profile went through the roof when he started dating singer Halle Bailey. Now, however, DDG is dedicated to his music career. The celebrity has abandoned his YouTube career to make a focused push at being a rapper following his split from Bailey. He recently dropped the single “Trickin.” It’s the teaser for his new single, however, that has fans intrigued. DDG seemingly linked up with Tory Lanez, despite the latter currently serving a decade behind bars. The song is rumored to drop December 13.

DDG has yet to release song, or its title. He did, however, preview a snippet of it on social media. The rapper can be seen bopping along in the studio while playing the song on his phone. He then holds up the phone to a microphone. Tory Lanez’s verse can be heard blaring through the phone speakers. Tory seemingly recorded his verse via telephone while locked up. It’s the first time fans have gotten to hear a Lanez verse since the rapper’s recording equipment was seized by prison guards in September. Lanez had rolled out an ongoing series called Prison Tapes, but the series was shut down unceremoniously.

DDG Previewed Tory Lanez’s Verse On An iPhone

“I was shut down because the higher ups figured out what I was really doing with The Prison Tapes,” the rapper claimed via Instagram. “And how many inmates were being helped in a life-changing way because of them.” DDG’s decision to link up with Tory Lanez has surprised many, given the former’s public image as a family man and a clean cut artist. That said, the rapper has never been afraid of delving into complex topics or addressing controversial aspects of his life. On “WHAT U BAD FOR,” DDG referenced his highly publicized split from Halle Bailey.

DDG flexed his newfound single status, but admitted that he will always have love for Bailey. “Thing about Halo mommy, you know that’s my baby forever,” he rapped. “Y’all know that I love that—.” The word “H*e” gets replaced with the word “go.” DDG has yet to confirm a title or release date for his new album. That said, fans have gotten to hear multiple singles. It’s safe to assume that the Tory Lanez collab will make the final tracklist.

Tory Lanez Drops Off His Shortest “Lost Tape” Yet With “Camera Phone” Alongside “Undecided”

It’s another One Umbrella reunion for this week’s edition of Tory Lanez’s “Lost Tapes.” If you have been following the site for the last couple of months, you know what the Canadian multi-talent is up to right now. He’s been sharing two (sometimes three) tracks a week from his stash of throwaways that never got a home on a project. There are times where Tory flexes his duality as an artist by rapping on one and singing on the other. Additionally, he will hit listeners with a specific tone or relatively similar theme between them. Or the Alone At Prom creator will revisit a particular year.

He’s done it all, even including some collabs with his signees. This week, he’s got a track with VV$ Ken, an Orlando, Florida rapper who’s been with One Umbrella since 2020. Also, an angle to look at is the fact that he’s got his shortest track in this care package. That would a 2018 recording called “Camera Phone.” “Undecided” is the other release, and it’s from 2022. Finally, Tory probably just gave us his freakiest and most sexually charged cuts to date. If you don’t believe us, check them out below.

I got up again and went inside her cheeks

Tory Lanez Links With His Label Signee Davo For The Latest Week Of The “Lost Tapes”

It’s another weekend, so you know what that means if you are a Tory Lanez fan right. The controversial Canadian superstar is here with more “Lost Tapes,” and this time, there’s something special going on. We have spoken about this ad nauseam, but at certain points during this run, Tory has included themes or firsts. For these, he’s reuniting with a fellow collaborator and label mate. For those unaware, the rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer also runs a recording company. It’s called One Umbrella, and it features a smaller roster compared to most other artist driven imprints.

But that doesn’t mean that efforts between his artists are any less significant. With that said, Tory Lanez has officially released a song with Davo called “Do You Remember.” He too is very similar to his boss, as he raps, sings, produces, and etc. He’s been releasing solo material under One Umbrella since 2020, but this shows that Davo was hard at work way before launching his own path to stardom. In fact, that’s what this song is about, in addition to proving doubters wrong and calling out fake friends. But with all “Lost Tape” releases, there’s another. A 2022 R&B-like leftover, “Wanna Fxck,” now sees the light of day as well. Check them both out below.

Tory Lanez Pulls From The 2022 Vault Again For His Newest “Lost Tapes”

Tory Lanez is double dipping for this week’s edition of his “Lost Tapes” series. Over the last few weeks, the Canadian has been beginning to dig up some recordings from 2022. He began rolling this erao ut with a 2019 track, “Blessed.” But Tory has now gone back to these last two years twice on back-to-back occasions. Overall, it’s the most recent vault he’s gone to for these releases. Given the Megan Thee Stallion situation, though, this may be the latest stretch we get to go back to.

Regardless, we are still eager to see what Tory has offer. This weekend, he’s dropped off “The Chase” and “Take It Off.” The former hears the multi-hyphenate drop gems about keeping your focus on the grind and making it big while ignoring the haters and doubters. It feels like he’s talking directly to the listener, making it a very personal and thought-provoking track. Conversely, “Take It Off” is a cute yet provocative love story which features both his singing and rapping. We feel Tory’s got two underrated bops here and he’s keeping out interest in the series for sure.

And you n****s got the nerve to talk to me like you got the same when we check it
