âIâm pretty sure the devil is real,â Haddish said in the interview. âBecause the first day of my period, no matter what, the devil goes into overdrive. I feel like my life gets turned upside down⊠[I] be like, âAm I dying?’â Haddish admitted she sought medical attention due to constant bouts of fainting. She said of the fainting, âShe gave me something because I kept passing out. I donât talk about it, but people just think Iâm sleep everywhere, but Iâm passing out because Iâll be in so much pain.â Also of note, Haddish was found asleep in her car when she was arrested for her first DUI.Â
Haddish received surgery for her medical problems. The surgery had very difficult side effects for the comedian. She said of the difficulties of having miscarriages, saying, âEvery time I find out Iâm pregnant, Iâm like, âDonât drink, donât smoke, donât do nothing. Even if I donât really want [the baby], I still try to give it a chance.â It is a very tragic situation for Haddish, who is opening up about her life. Overall, Haddish continues to confront her problems and is still processing everything.Â
Tiffany Haddish was arrested and hit with her second DUI in November 2023. Her latest charges were dropped as the comedian entered a plea deal. The charges were dropped to a misdemeanor. Haddish was sentenced to a year of summary probation and was ordered to complete a driverâs education program. She also was required to commit to 40 hours of community service. The multifaceted star has been dealing with the fallout of her legal problems for months. Though the situation has been hard, Tiffany Haddish has denied spiraling. Now, she is expressing the positive changes she has made in her life.Â
Haddish is celebrating a significant milestone in her journey. Haddish is now six months Sober following her DUI. This achievement is a testament to her determination to turn things around. Sobriety is a serious achievement and a much-needed landmark for Haddish. In a sit down with PEOPLE, Haddish discussed her journey of sobriety and how it has changed her life. She also discussed adapting to a celibate lifestyle in the interview.Â
Since her second DUI and legal battle, Tiffany Haddish decided to turn her life around. She eliminated alcohol and sexual intercourse completely from her life. Haddish spoke of her sobriety, saying, âIâm very sober. I havenât had a drink since [the incident]. When I sit back and look at my life, everything thatâs crazy thatâs happened is because somebody or myself had alcohol in their system.â She acknowledged the problem that had led her into difficult situations and completely cut it out. She spoke about her celibate lifestyle going hand in hand with sobriety, saying With alcohol [my mind] would just be like âYouâre horny, letâs just do it.ââ
Clearly, Haddish is attempting to better herself. She has been steeped in controversy even outside of her two DUI arrests. Haddish recently revealed she created a burner account on Twitter to clap back at people criticizing her. She has also had to deal with shade from Katt Williams, whose comments called into question her career. Overall, itâs good to see Tiffany Haddish making positive decisions.Â
Tiffany Haddish found a way to respond to her many critics anonymously. The comedian revealed that she created a burner account on X (previously known as Twitter). She uses the burner to clap back at people who post about her. She reveled in the news on April 21 during her appearance at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at the University of Southern California. Itâs understandable to want to defend yourself from criticism, especially after the amount of negative stories around Haddish.
In 2023, Tiffany Haddish was arrested for her second DUI. According to reports, she was arrested after dozing off while driving home from a Thanksgiving celebration at the Laugh Factory. In 2022, Haddish was accused and sued by a woman claiming she and her brother were coerced into âfilming sexually explicit child pornography skits.â These incidents and other behavior have given fans plenty to throw at Haddish on social media. Her burner account was a way to fight back.
Haddish was discussing her new book at the event. The comedian joked, âAnd then the internet came out, and people got the freedom to talk about whatever they want to talk about. And now I wish I was back to illiterate again.â Haddish says she doesnât know why people talk about her so much but says she can do the same. âSo people show me to talk about me. I donât know why yâall are talking about me so damn much, but thatâs okay. I like to talk about you too,â Haddish told the crowd. She confirmed her burner account, saying, âI donât know about fake Instagram, but I definitely got fake Twitter.â
Tiffany Haddish also came under fire recently as a result of Katt Williamsâ Club Shay Shay interview. Haddish clapped back at Williams, comparing him to Charleston White and defending her stand-up career. Williams has been consistent in his criticism of Haddish, with comments dating back to 2020. In February, Haddish drew more criticism for traveling to Israel during the conflict in Gaza. Haddishâs behavior directly caused more people to talk about her on social media. Maybe she secretly roasted Mia Khalifa for roasting her trip to Israel on her burner account. What we do know is Tiffany Haddish will continue to be the topic of conversation for a while.
Court-mandated sobriety is doing Tiffany Haddish some good, even if it originally wasnât her choice.
Sober photographer Amanda de Cadenet recently interviewed Haddish on her podcast âThe Conversation,â as reported by Page Six, and the Girls Trip and Night School star got candid about her sobriety, court ordered. S
he also discussed other issues including her fight with chronic endometriosis and even sexual assault from her past. âIâm used to people talking about their sobriety in a way that feels⊠some people are disingenuous and what I felt with Tiffany, was that she was very clear and grounded,â de Cadenet â who herself has been sober for 20 years said to Page Six.
âShe (Tiffany) had great insights about herself during her period of time that sheâs been sober [which is] not very long to have had all of those insights,â de Cadenet added.
Now if you take her word, Haddish told de Cadenet she has not âdrank any alcohol, smoked any weed or anything in, like, 72 days,â at the time of the interview in March.
âItâs not that hard because it wasnât really like my main thing anyway,â Haddish proclaimed. âYou know what I found out my main thing is? Meat, chicken, beef⊠and candy,â she said.
Then de Cadenet asked Haddish if she considered herself a sober person, and Haddish replied: âI consider myself being obedient to the law. Itâs court-mandated. Two years, Iâve been waiting for my hearing in Georgia, and what happened in LA triggered Georgia.â This refers to her 2022 and 2023 DUI arrests. Yes, she had two DUI arrests, but of course, âIt wasnât reallyâ her main thing.Â
Now, get this: Haddish said she only smoked weed to deal with her endometriosis. âWhen that was all taken away from me, it was like, âOK, let me try this whole vegan [thing]⊠Iâm going to try raw vegan and see how that goes.â That can be understandable as cannabis is used to treat a plethora of medical conditions from chronic pain to depression to cancer. But a source close to Haddish told Page Six that the comedian is âserious about her sobriety.â They added, âSheâs⊠very into her health right now. Sheâs going through her changes and is doing amazing.âÂ
Well, hopefully, it sticks, and we would love for sobriety to be, like, her main thing. But she has to want that for herself.Â
Tiffany Haddish is an acclaimed stand-up comedian, actress, writer, and public personality. With so many irons in the fire, one may expect her to join the likes of Olivia Wilde, Beyonce, or one of the Kardashians, by dating and marrying well-known A-listers. Tiffany Haddish married only once, to a man named William Stewart, who rarely seeks the spotlight. While details about Tiffany Haddishâs ex-husband remain elusive, their public spats have thrust their toxic relationship into the limelight.
Tiffany Haddish has written a bit about Stewart and her marriage in the past. However, the pair are not currently on speaking terms as far as the public knows. Following her trip to Israel, where she wanted to find a husband, thereâs a renewed interest in her past. Hereâs a brief look into the relationship between William Stewart and the Grammy Award-winning comedian.
While William Stewartâs military rank and tenure remain shrouded in mystery, sources indicate he is an army veteran. Tiffany Haddish married her husband in 2008 when she was 29 years old. While Haddish and Stewart were dating, Stewart managed to utilize some of his army connections to track down and reunite Tiffany Haddish with her estranged father Tsihaye Reda Haddish. Tsihaye was able to walk his daughter down the aisle at the 2008 wedding. Tiffany Haddish has referred to in the past as one of the happiest days in her life.
Unfortunately, the relationship wasnât flawless, marked by explosive arguments that occasionally escalated into physical altercations. In Tiffany Haddishâs 2017 memoir The Last Black Unicorn, she outlined a pattern of physical and emotional abuse that she suffered at the hands of her husband. She cited these instances as causing their separation in 2011, and divorce in 2013. According to Haddish, Stewart began to exhibit stalker-like behavior after their relationship concluded, causing her to fear for her life.
Tiffany Haddishâs ex-husband maintains his innocence regarding the alleged abuse. He even filed a $1 million lawsuit for slander, libel, and defamation after The Last Black Unicorn hit the shelves. Initially slated for April 2020, the trial faced significant delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, it appears that the former couple has reached an out-of-court settlement, as there has been no progress on the court filing since the initial dispute.
William Stewart has released a rebuttal to The Last Black Unicorn, however, in the form of his book titled Trust, Lies, and Deceit: The Real Tiffany Haddish Revealed. Released in 2022, the book features Stewartâs perspective on his brief but eventful marriage to the renowned comedian. The back cover of the book provides insight into Stewartâs stated goal. âPart memoir, part tell-all TRUTH, this book dispels the rumors and shows the other side of Hollywood from someone whom wasnât blinded by the bright lights and lust for fame!â it reads.
Regardless of how the marriage played out, Tiffany Haddish has moved on from her former husband. She learned to approach her relationships with men differently than she ever did before. In 2020, she briefly dated the rapper Common and expressed that the relationship helped her to learn what healthy boundaries looked like. She is quoted as saying, âHeâs definitely shown me new things in that way, where Iâm a little more, like, âOh, you guys are kind creatures,â because for a long time, I thought, you know, most men are pretty mean. Heâs shown me that there is kindness in this world and that, you know, you donât have to be something that youâre not in order to be loved by someone thatâs laying in bed with you.â Though she and Common separated, she recently expressed interest in getting married again.
Tiffany Haddish has continued to face backlash for her controversial trip to Israel. Haddish livestreamed segments of her tour as she was driven around Jerusalem in a bus that appeared to contain several other influencers and pro-Israeli media figures. This has led to a wave of increased backlash against the actress, whose joke about âgoing to find a manâ was retweeted by the Israeli government. This comes amid a wave of new attacks on Palestine, as well as related issues stemming from the ongoing war.
âSheâs on an influencer trip a few miles away from where kids being slaughtered. Must be fun,â one person said. âMeanwhile people on the other side are literally starving to death. Smfh dystopian af,â added another. âThis is disgusting. To make a mockery of the pain and suffering ,â lamented a third. Many more people filled the comments with rallying cries of âFree Palestineâ.
Meanwhile, Haddish also tearfully defended her trip during a live interview with TMZ earlier in the week. Haddish spoke at length about the ongoing hostage crisis surrounding civilians taken in Hamasâ initial incursion into Southern Israel last October. However, Haddish, despite veering into the territory of IDF propaganda, insisted that she also cared about the plight of the embattled Palestinian population. At the time of writing, over 30,000 Palestinians have been killed. Israel has continually vowed to leave nothing but dust in the face of international calls that they are perpetuating genocide.
Furthermore, Haddish also addressed the jokes she had recorded and published online during her flight to Israel. Even pro-Israel advocates were dismayed that Haddish had joked that she was on her way to âfind a manâ in Israel. Haddish doubled down, praising herself for doing something that most other single women wouldnât dare to do. Additionally, Haddish attempted to draw sympathy from TMZs viewers by claiming she was âall aloneâ in the world.

Tiffany Haddish Addresses Katt Williams In New Stand Up Set
Meanwhile, Haddish has been in the news a lot lately. Most recently, Haddish was responding to the shots Katt Williams took at her in this Club Shay Shay interview. Haddish made reference to Katt Williams in her latest stand-up set, after Williams implied that she was an industry plant whom Kevin Hart âopened the gate forâ. âAt the Comedy Store, they wouldnât let me perform at the white nights but I performed at all the Black nights,â Haddish told a hyped-up audience in January.
Haddish previously addressed Williamsâ explosive appearance on Club Shay Shay, taking to Instagram soon after the interview dropped. âI am not mad I just wish he would get his facts right about me,â she wrote. âDang I guess I will send him a reminder text. But are we sure that is Katt Williams? He looks a lot like Charleston White,â Haddish wrote on Instagram. Itâs a similar response that she previously gave to Williams in 2020. In that instance, he implied she was only famous because she slept with white men.
Mia Khalifa is someone who has been very adamant in terms of her support for Palestine. Overall, she has even gotten in trouble for her remarks about what is happening Gaza. Khalifa expressed empathy for those in Hamas, noting that Israel has continuously kept Gazans under occupation. However, many took exception to these comments and Khalifa was promptly removed from her role over at Playboy. Furthermore, she has also received hate from people online who believe her past invalidates her political opinions.
Meanwhile, yesterday, Tiffany Haddish began going viral as she claimed that she was on her way to Israel. Haddish is Jewish and she wanted to go to the country to see what is really going on. As she put it, she wants to âlearn and see with my own eyes.â Subsequently, Haddish was mocked by many on the internet. Fans found this move to be extremely disrespectful, especially with so many people dying in Gaza right now. Even Mia Khalifa had to step in with a sarcastic tweet of her own.
âOn my way to North Korea to learn and see with my own eyes,â Khalifa wrote on Twitter. Many of the fans in her replies thought she was being serious. However, if you were paying attention to everything going on with Haddish, it became obvious as to what Khalifa was talking about. No matter what, there is no denying that Haddishâs recent trip is in poor taste. Whether or not she actually sees anything, still remains to be seen. After all, this could very well just be a propaganda tool.

Comedian Tiffany Haddish finds herself embroiled in a legal saga as her former friend Trizah Morris files a defamation lawsuit against her, alleging extortion. Now, the spotlight shifts to Haddishâs ex-boyfriend, rapper Common, who is being called upon to testify in the ongoing court battle.
According to exclusive reports from Radar Online, sources close to the situation reveal that Common, along with two of Haddishâs attorneys, will be listed on Morrisâ witness list as part of the arbitration proceedings. Morris believes that Common may possess relevant information about certain events that unfolded during her friendship with Haddish.
Morris, who claims to have been friends with Haddish from 2011 to 2020, asserts in her lawsuit seeking over $1 million that she attempted to address the issue privately. She reportedly contacted Haddishâs attorney and Spearsâ attorney in February 2023, requesting a statement to clear her name from the extortion allegations.
The legal dispute stems from allegations made by Morrisâs children, who sued Haddish and fellow comedian Aries Spears in 2022, accusing them of inappropriate conduct and grooming. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed, with Haddish and Spears vehemently denying the accusations. Haddishâs attorney labeled the lawsuit as an extortion attempt by Morris.
In response, Morris has refuted the extortion claims, emphasizing the importance of her reputation and asserting herself as an upstanding member of society.
As the legal battle intensifies, the involvement of Common adds a new dimension to the proceedings, raising questions about his potential testimony and the impact it may have on the caseâs outcome.
