The Game’s Calabasas Home Closer Than Ever To Being Sold After He Fails To Appear In Court

Almost two months ago, AllHipHop exclusively reported that The Game was going to appear in court to keep his Calabasas home. The hearing was scheduled for yesterday, October 7 in Los Angeles and it was going to allow for him to share why he feels the property should not be sold off. The reason why it’s been in jeopardy of being taken is because Priscilla Rainey, a contestant on his She’s Got Game VH1 reality show, filed a lawsuit against him for sexual battery.

She’s been seeking $7,000,000 worth in damages for several years after the judgement was awarded to her. It’s been a real struggle for Rainey, with The Game being steadfast throughout this whole ordeal. “Don’t be fooled by these accusations or the dollar amount in the headlines. Cause I put that on my favorite aunties poodle this broad ain’t gettin s***! Every girl on that show will tell u I never touched this chick or ever desired to be anywhere near her. [They] kicked [her] off the show,” he said in 2016.

The Game Is Inches Away From Ultimately Paying Priscilla Rainey

Well, even though he was needing to present himself in the courtroom, he did not show. AllHipHop gathered from a minutes entry, “The court notes that the judgment debtor failed to appear or alert the court of the non-appearance. The court will issue an order to show cause re: sanctions this week.” Because of this, this is now the closest The Game is to losing his asset. With a new update coming later in the week, what should/will he do?

Do Compton Rappers Game And YG Have Beef?

Thanks to Kendrick Lamar and his inescapable hit “Not Like Us,” the city of Compton is back on the map in a big way. His Kendrick & Friends concert put a ton of the city’s rap talent on display, giving both veteran performers and rising stars a new chance to shine on the national level.

That included Kendrick collaborator and fellow Hub City native YG and his main producer Mustard, but oddly, didn’t include their other fellow citizen, The Game, who didn’t quite join in on the Drake hate train. In fact, some fans think Game even has beef with YG and Mustard. So, what’s going on there?

On August 28, after making some cryptic posts on Instagram Stories, Game called out the other two. But the first batch of posts and the second were unconnected, according to Game, who cleared the air in a later post. “Rooting for somebody & finding out they secretly hate u is so crazy,” he wrote initially. “Secret haters are clutch.. yall make ballin in yo face worth it.” But in another slide, he wrote, “Aye Keenon & Dijon [YG and Mustard’s real names, respectively]… Jayceon [Game’s real name] looking for y’all. Ghetto name havin n****s.” It’s fair that fans connected the two statements, making Mustard and YG out to be the “secret haters,” but in the comments of a post reporting the alleged beef, Jayceon quickly cleared the air.

“@yg & @mustard My n**gas 5L,” he wrote. “Go twist a backwood before you twist that #Bompton.” It’s more likely that his call-out was an invitation to collaborate, which the two have done more than a few times over the years. Game and YG most recently collaborated on their Compton peace walk negotiating a truce between two rival gangs in their shared hometown. So, it seems improbable that Game would be starting beef with YG now.

The Game Shuts Down Rumors That He’s Beefing With YG And Mustard

The Game loves him a good beef. Hell, he’ll take a bad beef. He spent a couple weeks trying to bait Rick Ross with a diss track, but both parties eventually admitted there was no smoke to the fire. Compton’s own has had bigger fish to fry, anyway. While the West Coast rallied around Kendrick Lamar during the Drake battle, The Game took a more diplomatic stance. Fans accused him of caping for Drake, and he was nowhere to be found when Lamar, YG and Mustard were dancing around at the Pop Out concert. That said, The Game has cleared the air regarding his relationship with his West Coast brothers.

To be fair to YG and Mustard, The Game inadvertently started the beef rumors. He got on Instagram on August 28 and started making cryptic statements about artists he didn’t like. “Rooting for somebody & finding out they secretly hate u is so crazy,” he wrote on his Stories. “Secret haters are clutch.. yall make ballin in yo face worth it.” In the post before, The Game called out YG and Mustard by their birth names, and claimed to be looking for them. “Aye Keenon & Dijon… Jayceon looking for y’all,” he added. “Ghetto name havin n**gas.” It wasn’t a stretch to assume Game was calling the rapper and producer his “secret haters.”

It’s hard to imagine The Game misreading the situation, but he did clarify that everything was cool. He sent a follow up message after the comment section started buzzing about beef. He even used official artist names this time. “@yg & @mustard My n**gas 5L,” he wrote. “Go twist a backwood before you twist that #Bompton.” There’s evidence to suggest that everything between The Game and the other artists are cool. The Game did recently participate in YG’s peace walk earlier this month. The two also have tons of songs together, with the most recent being 2022’s “Outside.”

Game’s relationship with Mustard is less defined. They have definitely taken different approaches when it comes to Kendrick Lamar’s battle with Drake. Mustard has cut off all ties with the Toronto superstar. He said he would never work with him again. The Game, meanwhile, went on IG Live and dubbed Drake one of the best to ever pick up a microphone. Game drama shouldn’t be high on the importance list for either YG or Mustard, though. According to The Shade Room, the California rapper appears to be publicly shooting his shot because his Instagram profile picture is of her.

What’s even wilder is the fact that itis a screenshot of her most recent post on the Gram. She uploaded a “Morning.” post to her profile with her displaying her messy bun. If this is catching you off guard, like it it has for a lot of people, The Game fawning over openly is nothing new, actually. According to HipHopDX, The Game spit a few bars about her on his 2016 track, “All Eyez”. “You want me to say your name, huh?
Karrueche!“. This track actually sparked some beef between him and Breezy, who was linked to Karrueche back then.

Yall gone be alright.” With that now out of the way, it seems its more of just fanboy moment than anything else.

The Game Confirms “The Documentary 3” And Teases Fall Release Date

The Game never takes a play off. Whether it be recording or beefing with other artists, the Compton legend is always ready with something. Fortunately, this time around, it’s music. The Game recently appeared on the Tacos and Shawarma podcast and announced that The Documentary 3 is going to become a reality. If that wasn’t enough, the rapper teased a release date that suggests the album is going to have a quick turnaround. If The Game gets his way, The Documentary 3 will release on the anniversary of a prior installment.

The Compton rapper confirmed that he was revealing exclusive information on the podcast. “I’m definitely gonna start the new album and I ain’t told anybody that,” he explained to the hosts. “But yeah, The Documentary 3, I’m gonna go in hard.” The Game was asked whether the weight of expectation will factor into the recording sessions, and he admitted that he’s set a high bar for The Documentary brand. “I’m up for the challenge,” he asserted. “It’s gonna be tough.” The most exciting piece of info regarding the album, though, had to be the release date. The Game announced his plans to drop it the same exact day as a previous Documentary album. “I’ma drop it the same day that the other one dropped,” he noted.

The Game Is Up To Challenge Of Making A Worthy Sequel

It’s great news for West Coast fans, even if it is a little unclear. A quick run through the release dates for The Game’s previous albums confirms that The Documentary and The Documentary 2 came out on very different dates. The original, which is still hailed as The Game’s magnum opus, dropped on January 19, 2005. The sequel, which is considered one of the rapper’s best albums post-Documentary, dropped on October 9, 2015. He also dropped The Documentary 2.5, a deluxe version, on October 16. So what does The Game mean when he says the same day? If we’re being optimistic, we’re looking at a fall release that aligns with The Documentary 2. If we’re being pessimistic, then we’re looking at January 2025. The latter would make sense, as it would mark two decades since the original.

The Game has not had the easiest 2024. He tried and failed to strike up a beef with Rick Ross. He then got dunked on by Rozay when his ran into legal troubles. The Game also ran into controversy in L.A. due to his absence from Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out show. Many fans theorized that the rapper was uninvited due to his friendship with Lamar’s enemy, Drake. The Game even got on IG Live to set the record straight and claim there was no ill will between him and Compton’s Chosen One. It’ll be interesting to see if Drake or Lamar appears on The Documentary 3, since both popped up on the second one.

The Game At Risk Of Losing His Home Thanks To New Legal Filing

Priscilla Rainey is not going to give up on getting what she feels she rightfully deserves. For those unaware, she is The Game’s sexual assault accuser. This lawsuit is still going, despite it starting back in 2015. It stems from an encounter on VH1’s She’s Got Game, something the rapper has vehemently denied any involvement in. “Don’t be fooled by these accusations or the dollar amount in the headlines cause I put that on my favorite aunties poodle this broad ain’t gettin s***!”, he said in 2016. “Every girl on that show will tell u I never touched this chick or ever desired to be anywhere near her”.

So much so, that the California MC decided to never show up for a court hearing during that year. Rainey was looking for $10 million in damages, but instead won a default judgement $7 million. This brings us to a few weeks ago when she took home another win in another lawsuit. This is allowing her to collect assets in order to fulfill the $7 million, one of which is the rapper’s home in Calabasas.

Now, AllHipHop has received the latest court documents that were filed by Rainey and her attorney, Janelle M. Dease. In them, they are asking the judge to try and get The Game to sell the aforementioned property. Additionally, Dease is requesting that he come in for a hearing to give him a chance to argue against selling. “I further request that the Court set a time and place for hearing and order the Judgment Debtor to show cause why an order for sale of the dwelling should not be made in accordance with this application”. Both Dease and Rainey have found that his home is worth around $3.1 million, which would be only half of the judgement satisfied.

Wack 100 Explains Why The Game Did Not Go To Kendrick Lamar’s “The Pop Out” Show

Wack 100, The Game’s longtime manager, recently appeared on DJ Vlad’s YouTube channel to talk about a variety of things. Of course, one of the topics that came up was The Game not appearing at Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out show on Juneteenth. Fans have theorized about it for weeks. Some have theorized that Lamar and crew snubbed The Game because of Game’s longstanding friendship with chief Lamar rival Drake. Wack 100 denied any friction between the two artists.

“If Kendrick or anybody from that camp needed Game, he would’ve been there,” said Wack 100. He also asserted that Game performing at The Pop Out would have taken time away from more underground acts, as the curfew was 8PM PST and Game is an established artist nearly two decades into his career. The choice was about supporting new talent rather than overshadowing them, ensuring that emerging artists had their moment. The Game is a West Coast legend, but the night was primarily about the present.

Wack 100 Speaks On The Game Missing The Pop Out

The Game and Kendrick Lamar’s relationship goes back over ten years. One of the first tours Lamar went on was for Game’s R.E.D. Album. Game was one of the rappers who passed the “West Coast Torch” to Lamar in 2011, shortly before he signed to Interscope Records and grew into a star. They also did the tracks “The City,” and “On Me” together, released in 2011 and 2015, respectively.

The Game also did a track with Drake in 2015 called “100,” which was released on The Documentary 2. The track resulted in the two shooting a music video in Compton. Fans have since interpreted as a subtle diss by Drake towards Lamar. Wack 100 alleges that Drake had to be convinced to leave the car for them to shoot that video. Game being at The Pop Out would have been a significant moment. He and Kendrick Lamar have not worked together in close to ten years. But Wack 100 is adamant that if Game was needed, he would have been invited. Maybe the two of them will reunite on a song, as Lamar has a new album rumored to release this year.
