Megan previously announced she’s working on a new album and will be touring on Good Morning America back in January. “For the past couple years, music just seemed so negative to me,” she said during the interview. “I just wasn’t in a good space mentally after everything that had happened to me, and it just all felt like I’m tired of this, I’m tired of fighting, I had to tell myself, ‘You know what? I don’t want to give up.’ I love a lot of things, but music is the one that I know I always super tried at and the one thing I know my mama knew I wanted to do. So, I said I can’t give up this fight, I just have to put it in the music and I feel like it was like therapy, it was like a real diary entry.”

Cardi B’s New Music Snippet Earns BIA Comparisons, Latter Femcee Responds

Largely due to the social media age, the world of female rap has never been more competitive. Latto and Ice Spice know this all too well, as virtually every outfit either wears is cross-checked by social media sleuths for any traces of copying the other. Cardi B and Nicki Minaj often face a similar fate, though lately the Hustlers actress is being compared to another femcee – BIA.

Online discourse heated up after Bardi and the “London” hitmaker both samped Missy Elliott’s 1999 hit, “She’s A B**ch.” The former used elements of the track on her new “Like What (Freestyle),” but BIA gets credit for doing it first while working with Timbaland on “I’M THAT B**CH” last summer. Things have only heated up since then, as a teaser from Cardi is now being compared to the Massachusetts native’s “FALLBACK” song.

BIA Replies to Tweet About Her and Cardi B

On Monday (March 4), one person hopped on Twitter/X to share snippets from each artist. “But BIA is definitely on Cardi’s mood board a lot,” they speculated, also adding an image comparing the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker to JT and Doja Cat in terms of her recent outfit choices. When she saw the post, BIA replied, “🥴🥴🥴,” making it unclear if she’s unimpressed with the similar sonics, or growing tired of constantly being compared to others in her field.

While we wait to hear what else Cardi B has in store for us this year, reactions to the “Like What” music video are still pouring in. Much to the Bardi Gang’s surprise, her husband Offset sat in the director’s chair for the project following their “separation.” Even with all the drama the couple went through late last year, many think he killed it and hope to see them collaborate more in the future. Read all about that at the link below, and check back later for more music/pop culture news updates.

Latto Seemingly Shades Ice Spice While Teasing New Song “Sunday Service”

Earlier this week, Latto took to social media to announce that her new single “Sunday Service” drops this Friday. She shared the news alongside the track’s cover art, which sees Latto posing in a simple white tank top with a black rectangular bar covering her eyes. Behind her is a black and white wall full of other femcees with their eyes similarly censored. The artists include Coi Leray, GloRilla, Nicki Minaj, and more. Of course, the artist that managed to get the most attention for being featured on the cover is Ice Spice.

The announcement and cover art reveal followed Ice Spice dissing Latto during an AMA with fans last week. She reacted to her music video for “Pretty Girl” playing in the background of Latto’s latest snippet, encouraging her to diss her outright instead of throwing subtle shade. “Why am I in the back of your weak a** snippet?” she asked. “I thought it was fake, I thought it had to be AI but no. Like be bold, but if you’re going to talk about me, then talk about me. Why am I in the back of your weak a** snippet?”

Latto’s Latest Instagram Post

It looks like Latto heard her loud and clear, recently sharing yet another Instagram post featuring Ice Spice. In a new photo dump, the Atlanta-based performer is seen smoking a joint on the aforementioned wall of her fellow female rappers, right next to Ice Spice’s image. In another photo from the carousel, she rocks a tank top that reads “Get in the booth b*tch.”

Clearly, Latto’s leaving no room to the imagination on this one, and fans are expecting her to take some pretty direct shots at Ice Spice on “Sunday Service.” What do you think of Latto posting up next to a huge photo of Ice Spice to tease her new song? Are you looking forward to hearing it? What about their beef? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Usher Drops First Teaser For Super Bowl Halftime Show

Usher has released the first trailer for his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime show. Titled “One performance, 30 years in the Making”, the minute-long trailer highlights Usher’s legacy, with a collection of fans and celebrities performing the singer’s 2004 classic, “Yeah”. Usher was announced as the Super Bowl headliner back in September 2024, with the NFL debuting a skit involving Kim Kardashian.

Furthermore, Usher also announced that Super Bowl Sunday (February 11) will also mark the release of his new album. Coming Home will be Usher’s ninth studio and his first since Hard II Love in 2016. In the last seven years, Usher’s only extended project was 2018’s A, a collaborative album with Zaytoven. Furthermore, he will be hoping that Coming Home will be a return to form for his work. Hard II Love was his first album since his 1994 debut to neither peak at #1 nor receive an RIAA certification.

However, the Super Bowl is not Usher’s only sporting connection. In October, the singer extended an invite to the Las Vegas Aces to attend his “My Way” residency show after missing their WNBA Championship parade. “I wish I could’ve been there, but pull up to my show… I got U. Shoutout to the defending champs, the Vegas Aces. A’ja Wilson, I got your message, I see you, I hear you. Couldn’t be at the parade but wanted to send this out to you to say congratulations to you and all the lovely ladies that once again did it again. I wanted to invite you to come see the show, come see me do it my way here in Vegas. We stick together, we love one another. Congratulations on this day and I’ll see you soon,” the musician said in a video posted to social media. While Usher was unable to attend the Aces’ parade after defending their WNBA title, 2 Chainz was on hand to perform.

However, Usher’s offer led to a little bit of friendly beefing amongst the team. “A’ja hit us in the group chat talkin bout WE are invited to go see Usher, but now that I’m seeing the video…SHE was invited. Which is cool, that’s fine! But why lie to ur teammates? 💔,” Sydney Colson wrote on X. “Lolololololololol syd scores 2 points in game 4 and think she can get usher tickets awww,” Wilson shot back.

Lil Nas X Will “Expose The Industry” Next Friday

In an Instagram post, Lil Nas X says he must “watch his back” as he plans to “expose the industry” next Friday. The comments came as the artist prepares to release his first single since 2022’s STAR WALKIN’, which was produced as the official anthem for that year’s League of Legends World Championships. Furthermore, the rapper is reportedly ramping up to a full album. The sophomore would be a follow-up to 2021’s Montero.

He has also previously spoken on “entering his Christian era”. Furthermore, he recently posted a TikTok about “finding God after the industry tried to make me satanic”. This may foreshadow his goal of “exposing the industry” next week. What do you think he is going to reveal next week? Let us know in the comments.

Lil Nas X Hits Back at “Christian Era” Critics

However, not everyone has been a fan of the rapper’s proposed career shift. “I hate how the world successfully changed the narrative of the call me by your name video. y’all hate that i symbolically took ownership of the very place yall condemned gay people to, so you’ve flipped the script and convinced everyone that its about me “mocking god”,” Lil Nas wrote on social media. Later, Lil Nas X would refer to himself as “God’s favorite” while responding to additional hate about what he was planning. Despite all this, the full extent of what Lil Nas X is planning is still under wraps.

The primary critic of Lil Nas’ announcement had been Tyrese. The singer had taken issue with Lil Nas’ comments, telling the young rapper to “stop playing with God” and accused Lil Nas of “making a mockery of Jesus”. Many of Tyrese’s fans agreed with him, causing Lil Nas to make his aforementioned statement. However many people have objected to Lil Nas X choosing God, especially as they see his sexuality as incompatible with being a “good Christian”.

Chief Keef & Sexyy Red’s “F My Baby Dad” Remix Teaser Sounds Seriously Lit

With each passing day, Sexyy Red moves closer to becoming a mother of two, but that’s not stopping her from maintaining her post at the top of the rap game. The “SkeeYee” hitmaker graced the top half of many “Best Hip-Hop” lists from various publications throughout December, and after the success of her Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe) tape, we’re happy to hear she has more fire in her belly to share with the world.

One of the most popular titles to come from the updated album is “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad),” which had Cardi B feeling herself in the club this past weekend. Meanwhile, Chief Keef (who appears on the project’s next time, “Ghetto Princess”) was feeling the catchy anthem so much that he put his own spin on it. This led to a seriously salty response from his co-parent, who put the “Love Sosa” artist on blast by posting his alleged child support papers for the world to see.

Rather than let her collaborator get dogged, Red invited Keef to join her on an official remix of “Bow Bow Bow,” which is being teased online this week. “F**k my baby mama / F**k my baby mama / She a dusty a** b**ch left me broke all summer,” the rap diva mouths along in the clip above, hyping up the Chicago native’s explicit addition to her hit song.

2023 was the biggest year Sexyy Red has had in her career, but that doesn’t mean she’ll be slowing down in 2024. When she gives birth to her second child, the femcee will obviously take time off to recover and care for her newborn, but once she’s ready, we’re fully expecting the St. Louis native to continue her epic feature run. SZA Teaser Surfaces Online, Fans Call It Out As Fake

The hype for SZA’s deluxe version of her acclaimed 2022 album, SOS, is at all-time highs right now. After all, the project’s one-year anniversary is right around the corner, and fans can’t wait for her to finally unveil the teased expansion. However, social media trolls and somewhat skilled photo and video editors know that this is also a great opportunity to get some clicks feeding off of that hype. As such, somebody posted an alleged teaser that the R&B star supposedly posted on Instagram, indicating something dropping or being announced on December 8 of this year. But many fans online went to her page, saw nothing, and knew that someone played them once again.

Of course, fake teases and announcements like these are unfortunately common these days, even if many of them are pretty obvious jokes. Regardless, it got big enough for a significant amount of people to fall into the trap as they wait on official word from SZA. In fact, many might think that it’s a bit odd that there isn’t as much conversation around the deluxe right now. For example, one would think that a slew of Grammy nominations, which recently came out, would be due reason to at least remind folks that a deluxe is on the way.

Fans Call Out This Seemingly Fake SZA Teaser: Watch & Read The Replies

Regardless, we’re well aware of what’s on the way from the St. Louis native, and will patiently wait for its (likely) release ahead of the awards ceremony. It’s also been great to see how such a great body of work carried her through an incredibly successful, high-profile, and tour-heavy 2023. SZA seems to have capped things off for the year, though, or is at least close to doing so. She was a headliner for Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival last week, and to no one’s surprise, she stunned with infectious energy and a tenderly spectacular show.

Meanwhile, with more performances announced to hit stages soon next year, the 34-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down. It’s just a shame that her fans keep getting swindled by other online forces. Even though these situations will continue to pop up, hopefully each instance sees fans identifying the cap faster and faster. For more news and the latest updates on SZA, log back into HNHH.
