Outkast Fans Ecstatic After Latest Super Bowl Report Sparks Reunion Rumors

The NFL is reportedly going to select Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the location for Super Bowl LXII in 2028, according to the Sports Business Journal. The news has Outkast fans elated on social media, as rumors that the duo could be reuniting for a performance at the Halftime Show for the game.”

When 2Cool2Blog shared the news on Instagram, hip-hop fans quickly brought up the legendary Atlanta duo, as caught by HipHopDX. “Outkast gotta be ready for this !!,” one user wrote. Another joked: “Andre 3k Flute show loading.” Others weren’t as optimistic. “FYI Andre 3000 turned down the Super Bowl as he didn’t wanna do an Outkast condensed set. I know the fact outrage didn’t know this and gonna act like this the first SB in Atlanta,” one wrote. More suggested other artists such as Future and Young Thug, among others.

The rumors come after Andre 3000 released his debut studio album, New Blue Sun, last year. While the project saw him venturing away from hip-hop and into ambient jazz, Andre did tell CBS Mornings at the time of its release that part of him still wants to do another Outkast album. When asked whether Big Boi pressures him to do so, he responded: “No, to be honest. No but I think because he knows who I am and knows what gets me going, knows what inspires me, knows when I’m excited about something. So I think in that sense, he’s never pushed that issue. But I’m sure like, I want another OutKast album. Yeah, like in my mind – but see, that’s the thing. That’s the human side. I want an OutKast album a long time ago.”

Fans Theorize Outkast Will Reunite For The Super Bowl

Wack 100 Accuses Drake Of Sending Kendrick Lamar Cease And Desist Over Super Bowl Performance

Earlier this month, Kendrick Lamar announced that he’ll be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans in February. Many consider this to be the cherry on top of an already massively successful few months for the Compton rapper. He went head to head with Drake in a viral lyrical battle, and ultimately came out on top with tracks like “Euphoria” and of course, “Not Like Us.”

According to Wack 100, however, he may not actually get the opportunity to perform the smash hit at the event. On Clubhouse recently, he even alleged that Drake sent Kendrick a cease and desist in order to prevent it. At this point, this claim is completely unconfirmed, though anyone could understand why he may not want him to perform the song.

Wack 100 Discusses Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

Famously, Kendrick accuses Drake and his OVO crew of being pedophiles on it. This is probably not an allegation Drake wants to be thrown around more than it already has been amid the feud, and might explain the alleged cease and desist. It’s not the first time someone has theorized that Drake’s already taken legal action over the upcoming performance either. Earlier this month, Charlamagne Tha God shared a similar theory. His suspicion, however, is that Drake allegedly took legal action only to prevent Kendrick from accusing him of being a pedophile onstage.

“If he does ‘Not Like Us’ at the Super Bowl, I want the opening cords and then just the hook,” he said at the time. “If you think that the NFL and Roc Nation and a bunch of other people didn’t get a whole bunch of legal letters yesterday from people with owls as their stamp. I promise you, you’re not calling me a pedophile at the Super Bowl. I guarantee you, the OVO people sent so many legal letters yesterday.” What do you think of Wack 100 accusing Drake of sending Kendrick Lamar a cease and desist to prevent him from performing “Not Like Us” during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February? Nicki Minaj Refutes Rumors She Dissed Beyonce As An “Absolute Lie”

Nicki Minaj has refuted the rumors that she intended to diss Beyonce by tweeting and deleting the phrase, “Robot on timing.” When a theory about the meaning of their alleged post began to spread, Minaj took to the comments section of an Instagram post to write: “This is an absolute lie.”

Regardless of Nicki’s clarification, fans weren’t buying that all is well between her and Beyonce as she’s continuously criticized JAY-Z on social media in recent weeks. “I still can’t figure out how ya maintain a genuine friendship with somebody who very openly hates your spouse,” one user commented. “Like how does that work? Cuz if u say something about her husband, it’s up.” Another wrote: “When you speak on somebody husband I hope you know his wife will never deal with you again. I know I wouldn’t and I would tell you to take that up with me since you female as well!”

As for Nicki’s criticism of JAY-Z, she’s been unhappy with the role he played in selecting Kendrick Lamar to perform at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. With the game being in New Orleans, she wanted the NFL to choose the hometown artist and her longtime collaborator, Lil Wayne. In an initial post on the matter, Minaj wrote: “Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what’s good?!!!!!! Eminem stood firm on having 50Cent come out. A white man. Pusha T Explains His Stance On Kendrick Lamar Headlining Super Bowl Halftime Show

Everybody has something to say about the Super Bowl halftime show this year, whether it’s about Kendrick Lamar versus Lil Wayne or Drake versus allegedly rejected offers to perform at it. Regardless of your take on the whole thing, there’s only one element that we know for sure at press time, and it’s that K.Dot will take the stage. As such, some people are just focusing on praising this moment and treasuring what it means for the genre. On this note, Pusha T recently elaborated on his initial co-sign of the announcement during a recent Q&A session.

Man, it is amazing,” Pusha T said of Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show announcement. “Like, you got to think. I’m sure people have said and have told him his whole career, like, ‘Oh my God, you rap good, you’re great, but you rap too much. You need to make a song like this, you need to do that.’ It’s amazing to watch him be exactly who he is, be the lyric king, and people who never even listen to lyrics are reciting his freestyles, his battles, you know, his songs. It’s great to watch. And it’s great for what it is that we do in lyric-driven hip-hop. It’s great to see.”

Pusha T Praises Kendrick Lamar

Of course, we know that Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar have love and respect for one another not just as past collaborators, but more broadly as hip-hop artists. Kendrick shouted Push out as another Drake rival on his “euphoria” diss, and the latter seems honored to have been a part of that song. “Incredible,” he told Vulture of the six-minute cut. “Incredible display, incredible display of battle raps. Listen man, Kendrick…” “It was a master class,” his brother and fellow Clipse spitter No Malice added.

However, not all praise for Kendrick Lamar has to come from Drake’s opponents… Well, current opponents, anyway. “Nah I f**k with drake he cool,” Meek Mill responded to a fan’s question about this year’s battle on Twitter. “Him and Kendrick beef has nothing to do with me I fw k dot too I have all their disses on my playlist right now.”

JAY-Z And Beyonce Look Thrilled As The Isley Brothers Serenade Them At Fanatics Event

JAY-Z and Beyonce were both in attendance at the grand opening of a new Fanatics Sportsbook location on the Atlantic City boardwalk in New Jersey on Sunday. In a viral clip from the ceremony on social media, they can be seen celebrating while The Isley Brothers perform right in front of them. When The Shade Room shared the video on Instagram, fans noted how unbothered they seemed amid the criticism of JAY-Z’s decision to platform Kendrick Lamar at Super Bowl LIX instead of Lil Wayne.

“The Carters don’t be caring wth y’all be saying about them! They be ignoring y’all like a fly in the wall! Y’all be talking to yourself!” one user wrote. Another added: “The way the black community have this strong hate towards them is why we will never see someone in jays shoes again!” Others continued arguing about the Super Bowl decision amongst themselves.

Fans have been arguing that Lil Wayne should get to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show, considering the game is being held in his hometown of New Orleans. Jay explained the decision in a statement at the time of the announcement. “Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” he said. “His deep love for Hip-Hop and culture informs his artistic vision. 50 Cent Says Kendrick Lamar is ‘The Guy’ for the Super Bowl Halftime Show

50Cent024

Conversations surrounding the Super Bowl halftime performance continue. This time, 50 Cent is weighing in.

Appearing on The Talk, 50 cosigned the selection. “I mean, it was a choice. As a solo artist right now, he’s the guy,” 50 said.

Roger Goodell praised the selection of Kendrick Lamar as the Super Bowl halftime performer.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Goodell revealed he is “feeling great” about taking the spot and he is a fan of the rapper.

Kendrick Lamar will take center stage at the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show at The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025. Roc Nation, Apple Music, and the NFL made the announcement, sparking excitement for the globally anticipated performance.

Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter, founder of Roc Nation, praised Lamar’s influence: “Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer. His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision… His impact will be felt for years to come.”

Seth Dudowsky, Head of Music at the NFL, echoed this sentiment, saying, “Few artists have impacted music and culture as profoundly as Kendrick Lamar… Kendrick has proven his unique ability to craft moments that resonate, redefine, and ultimately shake the very foundation of hip-hop.”

Apple Music’s Oliver Schusser emphasized the excitement: “Apple is thrilled to bring this show, starring the absolutely incomparable Kendrick Lamar, to fans worldwide with Apple Music’s industry-leading Spatial Audio quality.”

Lamar, a Grammy and Emmy-winning artist and co-founder of pgLang, continues to redefine hip-hop, earning accolades like a Pulitzer Prize for his 2017 album DAMN. and his chart-topping collaborations earlier this year.

Lamar’s Super Bowl performance will be creatively directed by pgLang and produced by DPS, with Roc Nation’s Jesse Collins as executive producer and Hamish Hamilton as director.

Apple Music’s ongoing partnership with the NFL and Roc Nation has already produced record-breaking halftime shows, and with Kendrick Lamar at the helm, this year’s performance is set to be another groundbreaking moment in Super Bowl history.

Joe Budden Reacts To Lil Wayne’s Super Bowl Snub Response

Last weekend, Kendrick Lamar announced that he’ll be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February of next year, sparking a major debate. While many are looking forward to the exciting performance, others think the opportunity should have gone to Lil Wayne. After all, the event is being held in his hometown of New Orleans, and he’s more than cemented his role as one of hip hop’s GOATs.

Amid the outrage, Lil Wayne took to Instagram to respond to the debacle. He admitted that he was incredibly hurt and was in the process of “trying to put [himself] back together.” Of course, this left a lot of fans more outraged than before. Some, on the other hand, found it difficult to feel bad for him.

Joe Budden Thinks “Silence” Would Have Been A Better Option For Lil Wayne

During a recent episode of his podcast, for example, Joe Budden shared why he wasn’t a fan of Weezy’s response. “I like silence from the megastars,” he began. “Once you transcend the genre, which I think Wayne is a part of… It’s silent time.” Budden continued, explaining that the video seemed like an odd choice because it’s not something Lil Wayne would usually do. He also questioned the rapper’s claim that he’s “broken” by the snub, noting some of the other obstacles he’s overcome throughout his career.

“Broken? They shot at his tour bus before. You know how much sh*t Lil Wayne’s been through since ’94? You’re broken by this?” he asked. What do you think of Joe Budden’s take on Lil Wayne’s video about not being picked to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year? Do you agree that Lil Wayne went overboard with his response or not? Should he have been chosen to perform over Kendrick Lamar? From there, Kelly Ripa suggested that Usher attempt to help Drake and Lamar end their beef. “I want no part of that. I’m sorry,” Usher said. “Let’s just say, it’s been a great experience to say that I could play the Super Bowl. I understand how much pressure comes with it and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. Dee-1’s Support Of Kendrick Lamar Leads To Barrage Of Backlash From New Orleans Community

This debate between Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne for who deserved Super Bowl honors is starting to get a little too serious. We say that because New Orleans, Louisiana native Dee-1 is getting a lot of hate for his support of the former. As you are all aware by now, the city has been extremely upset with their hometown hero not receiving the honors. Obviously, no one likes seeing Weezy upset as he was in his first public address since the announcement. But some people are taking their anger too far to where they want to ban and warn residents of NOLA like Dee-1 to never come back home.

That’s just some of the backlash the Christian rapper has been receiving, according to HipHopDX. Dee-1 shared a compilation accompanied by a voice-over detailing what he’s been dealing with since showing K-Dot love. “This is why you should never love your city more than you love God. So, Kendrick Lamar shouted me out in his new song and honestly, it’s been life-changing already in the past 24 hours. That’s the elevation. At the same time comes the condemnation”, he begins.

“So now they got people – because they mad at my opinion at who should perform at the Super Bowl – so now they making diss tracks about me. They got people saying I’m canceled from the city. They got people saying I better not come back to the city. People I’m cool with making videos mad at what I’m standing on, when it’s the same thing I been standing on since y’all met me”. However, even though Dee-1 is being bombarded, he’s not going to let that change him. “Thankfully, I’m just gon’ keep being me, keep serving God. That’s what got me here. And Imma just be thankful for every part that comes along with this journey, no matter what it entails”.

What are your thoughts on Dee-1 getting all of this backlash for supporting Kendrick Lamar during the Super Bowl debate? Who was more valid, Dee-1 or the city of New Orleans? Do you think people are blowing this out of proportion overall? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Nicki Minaj Reacts To Lil Wayne’s Vulnerable Super Bowl Snub Response

Last weekend, Kendrick Lamar announced that he’ll be headlining the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans. The news prompted mixed reactions from social media users. While some can’t wait to see Kendrick take the stage in February, others think the opportunity should have gone to Lil Wayne. Weezy took to Instagram yesterday to issue a response to the outrage, revealing that he was incredibly hurt by the decision.

“That hurt,” he said in part. “I thought that there was nothing better than that spot and that stage and that platform in my city. So it hurt, it hurt a whole lot.” The heartfelt video has since earned sympathy from his supporters and peers, including Nicki Minaj. She was among the first to call out Jay-Z and Roc Nation for the apparent snub. Now, she’s taken to Lil Wayne’s comments section to show her support, and to offer him some words of encouragement.

Nicki Minaj Leaves Lil Wayne Some Words Of Encouragement

“This too, shall pass,” her message begins. “But what you have done for the hip-hop culture will remain. It will stand the TEST of time. Many times our greatest & most dehumanizing test is just a way for God to get the glory. You were simply used in a war of egos. To ppl who are empty inside, all they have is their temporary power.”

While some Instagram users in DJ Akademiks’ comments section can’t blame Nicki for being upset, others think the paragraph was a bit much. After all, there’s no saying whether or not Lil Wayne would have had a guaranteed spot as a headliner if it weren’t for Kendrick. What do you think of Nicki Minaj responding to Lil Wayne’s video about not headlining the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show earlier today? Do they have a right to be this upset, or is this too much?
