Lil Wayne Claims Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show Was “Ripped Away” From Him

In September, it was announced that Kendrick Lamar would headline Super Bowl LIX halftime show in February. While the news was exciting to many, others were outraged and perceived it as a snub to Lil Wayne, as the event is set to take place in his hometown of New Orleans. During his performance at Lil Weezyana Fest yesterday, he referenced the debacle, making it clear that he’s not quite over it.

“I told myself I wanna be on stage at the Super Bowl in front of my mom and I worked my a** off to get that position,” he told the crowd. “It was ripped away from me but this moment right here… they can’t take this away from me.”

Lil Wayne References Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show At Lil Weezyana Fest

This isn’t the first time Lil Wayne has expressed his disappointment over the apparent snub, however. Just days after it was announced that the opportunity had gone to Kendrick Lamar, Weezy broke his silence with a heartbreaking video. In it, he explained how disappointed and shocked he was. “That hurt, it hurt a lot… I thought there was nothing better than that spot, on that stage, on that platform,” he expressed. “It broke me, but I’m just trying to put myself back together.”

Fortunately, Lil Wayne received at least some of his flowers at the fest yesterday. Mayor LaToya Cantrell honored him with the key to the city of New Orleans. He also reunited with Birdman and his fellow Hot Boys members Juvenile, B.G., and Turk. What do you think of Lil Wayne claiming the Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans was “ripped away” from him? Juvenile & Mannie Fresh Are Down To Join Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Performance

Juvenile was previously very angry at the NFL for not picking Lil Wayne as the next Super Bowl halftime performer, a spot that Kendrick Lamar got. But it seems like he’s down to join forces to make things right in his eyes. Moreover, the Cash Money alum and his label mate Mannie Fresh recently stopped by Power 106‘s “Brown Bag Mornings” program, during which they discussed Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans next February. Of course, you probably know all the discourse around the halftime show pick. The hometown “snub,” the Drake beef, Young Money loyalty, etc. However, they think it could be a huge moment.

“Oh, we are there,” Juvenile remarked when asked about Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show performance and whether they’d accept Kendrick’s call for them to perform if he makes it. “Kendrick is one of the best performers we’ve ever seen. […] In the hip-hop world, he raises the bar. So it’s something that everybody wants to see. And if he calls, I’m there.”

Juvenile & Mannie Fresh Address Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl

Their Super Bowl LIX conversation begins at around the 16-minute mark.

“The thing is, the Internet makes something that it’s not,” Mannie Fresh added concerning Kendrick Lamar. “[They] feel like we took a side because we said, ‘It would be cool if Wayne was in it.’ Of course we do, that’s our team. But, respectfully, Kendrick is, you know, he’s that dude.” Juvenile added that he never meant to shade K.Dot and never did, remarking on how he doesn’t tear people down to lift others up. However, he did speak on how Lil Wayne really wanted that Super Bowl halftime show and campaigned for it, suggesting that the Compton lyricist should at least reach out to try to make something happen.

Will that really manifest when Young Money and Drake’s entourage probably don’t want anything to do with Kendrick Lamar at this point? Maybe… Maybe not. Despite the mixed reactions to the NFL’s selection, everyone is still very curious as to what will go down in New Orleans on February 9. Many hip-hop fans would love to see Cash Money represented onstage, even if it seems unlikely. Let’s cross our fingers and see what comes next.

Rihanna Praises “GOAT” Kendrick Lamar For Doing Super Bowl Halftime Show

Rihanna is on the short list of artists who have done the Super Bowl Halftime Show. She’s the only artist who has performed at the show while pregnant. She has a unique perspective on the responsibility and the honor that comes with being selected as a Super Bowl performer. This is why she’s so excited to see what Kendrick Lamar does with the opportunity. She was recently asked about K. Dot’s Halftime gig. She she made it very clear that it is well-deserved.

Rihanna gave her Kendrick Lamar thoughts to Entertainment Tonight. The outlet inquired about her desire to see the rapper perform in New Orleans in 2025. She could not have been more hyped in her response. “GOAT,” Rihanna asserted. “He deserves it. I cannot wait to see it.” She even thanked Lamar for agreeing to take on the gig. Rihanna, who has a famously rocky personal history with Drake, also gave Lamar flowers for the massive year that he’s had. Kendrick Lamar, of course, defeated Drake in massive rap beef that that spawned hits like “Like That” and “Not Like Us.”

Rihanna Claims That K Dot United Hip Hop Culture

“Kendrick Lamar is the one that’s supposed to do it right now,” Rihanna proclaimed. “We should never doubt him. He’s an amazing artist, top-tier. He had an incredible year.” The “Diamonds” singer went as far as to allude to the “Pop Out” show that Lamar hosted on Juneteenth. A show that doubled as a spot from which to bomb on Drake further. “He actually brought so many people together,” Rihanna added. “That’s what culture is.”

Kendrick Lamar has also spoken highly of Rihanna in the past. The two worked together on the hit 2017 single “LOYALTY,” and the rapper praised Rihanna’s musicality. “I love everything about her,” he stated to Zane Lowe. “The way she expresses herself through music and how she caries herself I love everything about her so I always wanted to work with her.” Both Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar have albums in the works. Rihanna has been teasing her album since 2016. Lamar, meanwhile, has kept fans on the edge of their seats since the Drake battle. Maybe we will get another collaboration in the future. Fingers crossed.

Wack 100 Continues To Deny Accusing Drake Of Sending Kendrick Lamar A Cease And Desist

Last month, a moment from one of Wack 100’s Clubhouse streams made its rounds online. The snippet appeared to show him accusing Drake of sending Kendrick Lamar a cease and desist in an attempt to prevent him from performing “Not Like Us” at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February. According to him, however, his words were taken completely out of context.

During a recent conversation with Adam22, he explained what actually happened, and denied the No Jumper host’s accusation that he lied about it. Wack claims that he’s in a group chat with various other people, who send clips freely to be discussed on Clubhouse. He says that he simply read the title of one of these clips during the stream, and was not actually claiming it happened. “I never lied about it,” he added.

Wack 100 Insists He “Never Lied”

“I wouldn’t know,” Wack continued. “I don’t represent Kendrick’s business or Drake’s business. So I wouldn’t know what either was sending or receiving on either side unless they told me.” While Wack 100 doesn’t appear to want any part in the conversation, Charlamagne Tha God recently speculated that Drake has taken legal action over the performance.

“If he does ‘Not Like Us’ at the Super Bowl, I want the opening cords and then just the hook,” he theorized on The Breakfast Club last month. “If you think that the NFL and Roc Nation and a bunch of other people didn’t get a whole bunch of legal letters yesterday from people with owls as their stamp. I promise you, you’re not calling me a pedophile at the Super Bowl. I guarantee you, the OVO people sent so many legal letters yesterday.” What do you think of Wack 100 continuing to deny accusing Drake of sending Kendrick Lamar a cease and desist? Wack 100 Clarifies He Never Accused Drake Of Sending Kendrick Lamar A Cease And Desist

Wack 100 says he never intended to accuse Drake of sending Kendrick Lamar a cease and desist over his Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. Speaking with DJ Akademiks about the viral clip appearing to show him doing as such, he explained that he was only reading a post off of social media and the moment was taken out of context.

“I read a f*cking clip,” Wack argued. “I wouldn’t know if Drake sent a cease and desist. Why? Because I don’t represent Kendrick in business or Drake in business so I wouldn’t know if a cease and desist happened. I wouldn’t know. All I did was read a f*cking clip.” The viral clip stems from a livestream Wack did recently on Clubhouse.

Wack isn’t the first person to theorize Drake may have sent a cease and desist letter over the situation. After the NFL first announced the news, Charlamagne Tha God said on The Breakfast Club: “If he does ‘Not Like Us’ at the Super Bowl, I want the opening cords and then just the hook. Wack 100 Claims Lil Wayne Won’t Perform At Super Bowl But Will Pop Out With Drake Instead

We can’t remember the last time that a Super Bowl halftime show was so anticipated by the public for so many different reasons. Many are just excited to see Kendrick Lamar headline the performance, whereas some will still have Lil Wayne and Drake in the back of their heads. Amid the controversy over Weezy’s omission from the New Orleans stage, many fans and media figures have different takes on whether or not they think Kendrick will bring him out. Wack 100 recently offered his two cents on the matter on No Jumper, and while his words are a bit vague, he claimed that fans shouldn’t get their hopes up for that exact reunion.

“There’s no Wayne tripping when Kendrick comes to Drake,” Wack 100 began. “No, they all cool anyway. I’ma just keep it happy right now. Hopefully, Wayne will come out behind Drake in New Orleans with this situation. I don’t think he will do it. No, [Lil Wayne is not coming out]. I know what’s going on. He coming out, but not on that stage. He coming out halftime, but not on that, still. I know what’s going on.”

Wack 100’s Latest Claim About Kendrick Lamar, Drake & Lil Wayne

Of course, the biggest argument against Kendrick Lamar inviting Lil Wayne as a special guest is the Drake beef. But there are even some people who think that the “Not Like Us” and “Family Matters” MCs will bury the hatchet at the Super Bowl. Fivio Foreign is one of the proponents of this theory that, if true, would probably make for one of the oddest and most divisive hip-hop moments of the contemporary era. Still, it doesn’t change the fact that a lot of people want Tunechi to receive his due flowers in his home city come February 9, 2025.

Meanwhile, here’s what NOLA native Big Freedia told TMZ when they asked about the Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne situation. “New Orleans is definitely sad that Lil Wayne is not the headliner,” he expressed. “I think that they should have had some Southern artists for sure on the ticket. You know, I think the Cash Money and No Limit family should’ve definitely been involved. But who knows what’s going to happen with the days ahead? I think [Kendrick inviting Wayne] would be a great gesture. And I think it would be a nice thing for Kendrick Lamar to do. I think he would definitely, you know, get his love from Louisiana and from down South if he was to make that happen.

Outkast Fans Ecstatic After Latest Super Bowl Report Sparks Reunion Rumors

The NFL is reportedly going to select Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the location for Super Bowl LXII in 2028, according to the Sports Business Journal. The news has Outkast fans elated on social media, as rumors that the duo could be reuniting for a performance at the Halftime Show for the game.”

When 2Cool2Blog shared the news on Instagram, hip-hop fans quickly brought up the legendary Atlanta duo, as caught by HipHopDX. “Outkast gotta be ready for this !!,” one user wrote. Another joked: “Andre 3k Flute show loading.” Others weren’t as optimistic. “FYI Andre 3000 turned down the Super Bowl as he didn’t wanna do an Outkast condensed set. I know the fact outrage didn’t know this and gonna act like this the first SB in Atlanta,” one wrote. More suggested other artists such as Future and Young Thug, among others.

The rumors come after Andre 3000 released his debut studio album, New Blue Sun, last year. While the project saw him venturing away from hip-hop and into ambient jazz, Andre did tell CBS Mornings at the time of its release that part of him still wants to do another Outkast album. When asked whether Big Boi pressures him to do so, he responded: “No, to be honest. No but I think because he knows who I am and knows what gets me going, knows what inspires me, knows when I’m excited about something. So I think in that sense, he’s never pushed that issue. But I’m sure like, I want another OutKast album. Yeah, like in my mind – but see, that’s the thing. That’s the human side. I want an OutKast album a long time ago.”

Wack 100 Accuses Drake Of Sending Kendrick Lamar Cease And Desist Over Super Bowl Performance

Earlier this month, Kendrick Lamar announced that he’ll be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans in February. Many consider this to be the cherry on top of an already massively successful few months for the Compton rapper. He went head to head with Drake in a viral lyrical battle, and ultimately came out on top with tracks like “Euphoria” and of course, “Not Like Us.”

According to Wack 100, however, he may not actually get the opportunity to perform the smash hit at the event. On Clubhouse recently, he even alleged that Drake sent Kendrick a cease and desist in order to prevent it. At this point, this claim is completely unconfirmed, though anyone could understand why he may not want him to perform the song.

Wack 100 Discusses Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

Famously, Kendrick accuses Drake and his OVO crew of being pedophiles on it. This is probably not an allegation Drake wants to be thrown around more than it already has been amid the feud, and might explain the alleged cease and desist. It’s not the first time someone has theorized that Drake’s already taken legal action over the upcoming performance either. Earlier this month, Charlamagne Tha God shared a similar theory. His suspicion, however, is that Drake allegedly took legal action only to prevent Kendrick from accusing him of being a pedophile onstage.

“If he does ‘Not Like Us’ at the Super Bowl, I want the opening cords and then just the hook,” he said at the time. “If you think that the NFL and Roc Nation and a bunch of other people didn’t get a whole bunch of legal letters yesterday from people with owls as their stamp. I promise you, you’re not calling me a pedophile at the Super Bowl. I guarantee you, the OVO people sent so many legal letters yesterday.” What do you think of Wack 100 accusing Drake of sending Kendrick Lamar a cease and desist to prevent him from performing “Not Like Us” during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February? Nicki Minaj Refutes Rumors She Dissed Beyonce As An “Absolute Lie”

Nicki Minaj has refuted the rumors that she intended to diss Beyonce by tweeting and deleting the phrase, “Robot on timing.” When a theory about the meaning of their alleged post began to spread, Minaj took to the comments section of an Instagram post to write: “This is an absolute lie.”

Regardless of Nicki’s clarification, fans weren’t buying that all is well between her and Beyonce as she’s continuously criticized JAY-Z on social media in recent weeks. “I still can’t figure out how ya maintain a genuine friendship with somebody who very openly hates your spouse,” one user commented. “Like how does that work? Cuz if u say something about her husband, it’s up.” Another wrote: “When you speak on somebody husband I hope you know his wife will never deal with you again. I know I wouldn’t and I would tell you to take that up with me since you female as well!”
