Usher, Summer Walker, And 21 Savage Accept A Relationship’s End In Their ‘Good Good’ Video

It’s all “Good Good” in the hood in Usher‘s latest video, which finds him teaming up with fellow ATLiens 21 Savage and Summer Walker for a nostalgic ballad about remaining friends after a relationship ends. “Usually my exes turn to enemies,” Usher croons in his verse, “But this is different / ‘Cause we don’ got closer now that you ain’t with me.” Summer, meanwhile, wishes her ex “good sex and good sleep,” while 21 jokes that he’ll still “have you grabbing them sheets” while offering to “help pay for the wigs and I help with the lease.”

The video itself opens with the three artists standing on a bridge overlooking the highway with the city’s downtown skyline as a backdrop. Usher, dressed in a classic Atlanta fit — a baggy sweatsuit, complete with a wave cap, chains, and gold teeth — does his choreo solo while the scene around him changes from day to night and back (he also dances in a waistcoat, which is some wild styling, even for him). Walker lounges in a well-appointed hotel room in her scenes, bedecked in a bathrobe (with matching slippers!) and a headwrap. For his part, 21 Savage eats solo at a restaurant with a mirror image of himself, each side chowing down on a seafood meal representing his rags-to-riches status.

Lil Meech Seemingly Avoids Saucy Santana & Summer Walker’s Twerking Antics

One rap diva who’s definitely not facing criticism for her stage presence these days is Sexyy Red. While other up-and-comers have been called out for relying too heavily on twerking and other salacious stunts, the St. Louis native has the men of rap lining up to meet her, and recent performances have been jam-packed. On Friday (August 4) night, the Hood Hottest Princess took the stage in Atlanta, and seeing as she’s friends with plenty of the city’s biggest names in music, she decided to bring them out as a surprise. Summer Walker was among the group, as were Saucy Santana and Sukihana.

As you may recall, the mother of three announced her split from BMF actor Lil Meech earlier this week and has been making the most of Hot Girl Summer since then. Interestingly, the 23-year-old was spotted in the crowd during Red’s performance, and while his ex was shaking her booty with her besties, Meech seemed to be doing his best to avoid looking in her general direction.

Since the video hit blogs this morning, Suki and Santana have hopped in the comment section to clear things up. “It’s a big screen where [you] can watch instead of looking at the stage,” the latter noted on a post from @theneighborhoodtalk. “FYI! And it’s gay boy twerking on stage. A lot of men [probably] wasn’t watching that part.”

The Love & Hip-Hop cast member also spoke up on Meech’s behalf, writing, “Childdddd he wasn’t being rude, he [probably] just didn’t want to see our cousin Santana’s Southern fried booty meat thrown in a circle.”

Why Did Summer Walker & Lil Meech Break Up?

After weeks of public appearances and romantic love notes posted to social media, Summer Walker and BMF actor Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. have officially broken up. In April, the pair began to post cryptic photos with one another on social media, hiding identifying details to keep their relationship private. But, by the start of June, the two were hand-and-hand on the red carpet for the 2023 BET Awards.

But according to Walker’s Instagram Stories, everything wasn’t what it seemed. So, why did they break up? On Sunday, July 30, Walker accused Flenory of setting out on her, writing, “Tried my best to be Jayda Wayda, but I couldn’t. It was cute, though. I wish him the best. Can’t do that cheating stuff.”

While Flenory hasn’t released a public statement, social media influencer Jayda Wayda, real name Jayda Cheaves, sure did. Cheaves didn’t take well to her and her former relationship with rapper Lil Baby (whom she shares a child with) being used as a joke. That said, Cheaves seemed to confirmed that Lil Baby did cheat on her. Cheaves wanted to drive home that her relationship and Walker’s was not similar beyond that.

“I learned my lesson after one kid. Motherf*ckers around here starting their own trends and tryna insert me in for laughs on The Shade Room. No,” wrote Cheaves, referring to Walker’s multiple children from past failed relationships.
