Earlier this month, Willie D took to social media with some concerning news, announcing that Lil Troy had suffered a heart attack. “The bad news is, he’s not out of the woods,” he explained. “I spoke to Troy this morning. He is alert, but he’s still in the hospital, where he’s been since Tuesday of last week.” Shortly after, Lil Troy spoke with AllHipHop, providing fans with an update on his health.

“I’m good now. Feeling blessed. I’m going to start speaking about taking our meds and going to the doctor and heart attacks,” he told the outlet. Now, during a recent interview with Fox 26 News, he opened up about the poor lifestyle choices that he thinks led to the heart attack. He also revealed that his mother suffered a health emergency the very same weekend, while he was in the process of recovering.

“I ate all this fried chicken, up all night drinking—that’s what I did,” he described, “I was a rapper, so I was up all night drinking and everything else, not taking care of my body… I thought I was Superman, I wasn’t taking my medicine, thinking I could keep going without eating right.”

Troy continued, “I was in the hospital that Saturday and I called my mom on the phone, just talking to her in general, and she had a stroke while I was on the phone with her. I had to call the ambulance and everything. They brought her to the same hospital I was at on the same floor.” He went on to stress the importance of a healthy lifestyle, sharing that he no longer smokes or drinks. Irv Gotti concerned fans this week when Wack 100 alleged that he suffered a stroke, news that he then confirmed shortly after. However, it looks like he’s not wasting much time with this recovery, and is getting right back to his work in quite rapid fashion. Moreover, a representative for the Murder Inc. executive recently spoke to The Shade Room and provided the public with an update on his status. Apparently, he’s doing just fine and is now working on a DMX biopic, which is exciting news for fans of this era. Hopefully these two narratives of recovery and development don’t impact each other in a negative way.

“I’m getting older. That’s all. Only thing worse than getting old is not getting old,” Irv Gotti shared through his representative on Wednesday (August 28). Despite 50 Cent’s clowning (over romances unrelated to this stroke), Irv Gotti has previously spoken on his struggles with diabetes. “It’s rampant with Black people,” he said on Drink Champs last year. “What it does is, it starts deteriorating your body. No, [it’s not under contol]. I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes forever; it’s hereditary. When my [blood sugar] gets too high, shot [of insulin]. It’s reversible but you gotta change the way you eat, all that. But you know what’s f***ed up with diabetes? So anything that you’re gonna like or tastes good, horrible for you. Now what’s some nasty s**t? Broccoli… you supposed to eat some leaves or s**t like that.”

Meanwhile, Irv Gotti has also denied sexual assault claims against him. “Mr. Gotti rejected the attempt by this individual to coerce a payment of money from him. The lawsuit contains a single page of ‘facts’ which are unsworn to, sparse by any measure, and which Mr. Gotti categorically denies,” his representative stated.

“Damn homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you?” 50 Cent wrote about Gotti, echoing his “Wanksta” lyrics. “I want Irv to get well, [raised eyebrow emoji] so he can have to watch my next wave [wave emoji] LOL.”

Irv Gotti’s team has confirmed he suffered a stroke. According to TMZ, the “minor stroke” occurred over six months ago as a result of diabetes complications.

In a recent statement to The Shade Room, Murder Inc. CEO Irv Gotti spoke about suffering a stroke earlier this year and how he’s recovering while putting together a biopic of one of his most revered artists.

A rep for Gotti assured all of his fans and well wishers that he’s healing, while relaying a message from Gotti. “I’m getting older. That’s all,” Gotti said, according to his rep. “Only thing worse than getting old is not getting old.”

Besides the revealing news about the late Earl “DMX” Simmons biopic, Gotti also made it known that he was not happy about Wack 100 telling the world his private issues with his health.

On Wednesday, it was confirmed via his rep that the Murder Inc. head honcho suffered from a stroke about six months ago.

Kobe Bryant’s Father, Joe Bryant, Dies At 69 After Suffering A Massive Stroke

Joe Bryant, the father of late NBA legend Kobe Bryant, has reportedly passed away at the age of 69. La Salle head coach Fran Dunphy confirmed to the Philadelphia Inquirer on Tuesday that Joe had recently suffered a massive stroke. His death comes over four years after the tragic passing of his son and granddaughter Gigi, who both died in a helicopter accident in January 2020.

Joe was a basketball star in his own right, prior to his son becoming one of the greatest ever. He made a name for himself as a player for both Bartram High School and La Salle in Philadelphia. The Golden State Warriors ended up drafting him in the first round back in 1975 before selling his rights to the 76ers that same year. He spent four seasons with the team before joining the Houston Rockets for a stretch. Eventually, he found continued success overseas, where he played primarily in Italy.
