Austin Rivers Fires Back At Stephen Jackson: “Poor Dude Starving For Attention”

In recent days, Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson both criticized Austin Rivers. “I just don’t wanna be in no conversation when Austin Rivers’ name is involved,” Jackson said on the “Gojo and Golic” podcast. “Why is his name even involved? I don’t even want to answer a question when his name is phrased in it. Austin Rivers is somebody not relevant nowhere.” Jackson was questioned by host Mike Golic over a statement that Rivers had made on X, claiming that more NBA players than NFL players could play in both leagues. Rivers shot back at Jackson’s jab on X.

“This is so ironic considering he stays having my name in his mouth,” Rivers posted. “(I have never met this guy btw lol) The comments say it all. He’s at it again lmao!! Pour dude starving for attention. Sad sight tbh. I honestly wish him nothing but the best fr. Good God bro… grow up.” In addition to ripping Rivers, Barnes, who Jackson co-hosts the podcast “All The Smoke,” was on the “Gojo and Golic” podcast with Jackson and previously ripped Rivers’ father Doc Rivers.

Austin Rivers Claps Back At Stephen Jackson

Barnes recently responded to an Instagram comment claiming the “Utah Jazz broke that sh–t up” regarding the Lob City Clippers that featured Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan. Austin and Barnes were teammates on the 2014–15 team, during which Doc served as both head coach and president of basketball operations. Barnes believes the Rivers are to blame for the club’s lackluster performance. “nah Doc broke that sh–t up when he paid his son that money,” Barnes wrote in the comment.” He lost the team after that.”

The Clippers had five straight seasons with 50 wins and two Pacific Division championships during the “Lob City” era, which ran from 2011 to 2017. The club did not, however, make it past the conference semifinals. In four seasons with the Clippers, Austin Rivers averaged 11.1 points, 2.5 assists, and 2.1 rebounds. Although the Lob City Clippers enjoyed a strong off-court rapport in 2022, Barnes claimed that this did not convert to on-court success. Overall, this is not the last time we will hear from Autin Rives, Jackson, or Matt Barnes

Stephen Jackson Roasts Austin Rivers, Calls Him “Irrelevant”

Given their frequent jabs about basketball and other sports, Stephen Jackson and Austin Rivers are definitely not fond of one another. This time, the feud takes a new turn. Jackson made fun of Austin Rivers after the latter declined to respond to inquiries about him during a Draft Kings Network program. The host asked Jackson if he could become a professional in another sport after Rivers said that more NBA players could play in the NFL than NFL players could play in the NBA. Jackson gave a shake of his head in shock at the question and then answered as previously stated.

Last month, Rivers made a contentious statement when he claimed he could take 30 NBA players and get them to play in the NFL. But for Rivers, NFL players who want to play in the NBA can’t say the same. He maintained that NBA players are more athletic and skillful than NFL ones. Over time, a number of elite NBA players—including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and most recently, Anthony Edwards—have voiced confidence in making the switch to the football field. Stephen Jackson did not want to entertain any content coming from Rivers.

Stephen Jackson Has Had It With Austin Rivers

“I just don’t want to be with no conversations with Austin Rivers’ names involved. Why is his name even involved? Like I don’t want to ask a question with his name is phrased in. Austin Rivers is somebody not relevant nowhere,” Jackson said when being asked to comment on Austin Rivers’s NFL NBA take. it’s a dismissive response, and Stack has legit beef with Austin Rivers.

When Austin Rivers expressed disapproval of the notion of LeBron James and his son Bronny James collaborating in the NBA, Stephen Jackson did not hold back. After playing for his father, Doc, for four seasons, Rivers thought it would be best for Bronny’s career if he didn’t play with him. Jackson responded to this criticism by heavily disparaging Rivers. “And your daddy not LeBron. Shut up,” Jackson said. “Difference is you trash, Bronny not. You can’t compare to him scrub.” Since then, the two have been insulting one another almost weekly.

Austin Rivers Responds To Stephen Jackson Rant

Austin Rivers has responded to Stephen Jackon’s heated reaction to his comments on ESPN about Bronny James. “All smiles…I didn’t even have to fight my own battles with ignorance, yall corrected it for me!! Thank you for not siding with delusion. Have a blessed day,” Rivers wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Jackson had taken offense to Austin Rivers’ rationale behind why LeBron and Bronny shouldn’t play on the same team if Bronny makes the move to the NBA. “Difference is you trash, Bronny not. You can’t compare to him scrub. And your daddy not LeBron. Shut up,” Jackson wrote in the comments on an Instagram post reporting Rivers’ original comments.

However, as mentioned, it was a bizarre reaction given that Rivers had been arguing that Bronny doesn’t need the added obstacle of playing in his father’s shadow. “I don’t want to see Bronny play with [LeBron]… Him getting drafted & playing with his dad, I don’t want that negativity to come his way. He doesn’t deserve it… [He needs to] play somewhere where he can niche out his own identity,” Rivers told NBA Today.

Bronny James Struggles Despite Stephen Jackson Support

Furthermore, despite Jackson’s passionate defense, Bronny has not exactly been living up to expectations at the college level. While his sidelining due to a congenital heart issue must be acknowledged, Bronny has struggled to elevate his game. Bronny is currently averaging 5.9/2.9/2.6 off the bench for a floundering USC squad. His draft projection has gone from late first-round to being omitted from many mock drafts entirely. As much as Jackson may like Bronny, there is not a lot going on game nights to back up the defense.

It’s widely expected that if Bronny James doesn’t become a Laker this summer, LeBron will decline his player option year and follow his son to a new team. Prior to Bronny’s struggles at USC, one potentially floated destination was being drafted by Atlanta. One person who seemed excited by this was Hawks star Trae Young. Last summer, in response to an NBA Central post hypothesizing a LeBron-Bronny partnership on the Hawks, Young tweeted “Talk soon” in response. This immediately set off the rumor mill that the Hawks might push for a LeBron trade.

Of course, LeBron hasn’t helped quiet the rumors. Following a Lakers loss last week, LeBron posted an hourglass emoji to social media.

Stephen Jackson’s Wife Says They Are “Happily Married” Without A Prenup Amid Resurfaced Rumors

Stephen Jackson’s wife Tamara has addressed rumors that Jackson once left a woman over disagreements concerning a prenup. “To clear this OLD news up that keeps “magically” re-surfacing… this is not about me. Right story, wrong woman. It was an ex-fiance of my husbands from like 20 years ago! Yes from like 20years ago and that’s not an exaggeration. Anyway, Stephen and I have been together for 8 years since 2015 and married for almost 2 years now since 12/5/21.
There was never a pre-nup mentioned to me…not before our wedding, during our wedding, or any other time in our whole relationship for that matter. I’m not sure what kind of contract/pre-nup he required in previous relationships but the word pre-nup was never brung to me not one time,” Jackson wrote on Instagram.

She continued. “Would I have signed one? Yes, but Stephen knows what we have is REAL LOVE, he knows I’m nothing like the rest. Therefore he knew a pre-nup wasn’t necessary with me. I made it TO, THROUGH and PASS the altar with him, strictly on LOVE so I could care less about anything from his past. It’s 2023 and yall talking about something from 20 years ago lol 😂. So for those people wasting their time commenting on such old news, Stephen and I are happily married with no pre-nup, no child support obligations no strings attached, nothing just pure genuine LOVE ❤ so y’all can keep entertaining and living in the past if yall want but as for Stephen and I that story is old and irrelevant. We’re busy writing and creating stories and memories of OUR love story.”

Jackson Addresses Canelo Alvarez Alercation

However, a prenup is not the only reason that Stephen Jackson has been in the news this week. The ex-NBA pro also addressed reports that he had gotten into an altercation at the Alvarez-Charlo fight over the weekend. Jackson was seen getting heated with individuals later identified as members of Alvarez’s family. However, Jackson attempted to defend his actions in a video he recently posted.

“Of course, me and my people stood to the side. One cop gotta grab me… I waited for 30 people. If he got 40 people that’s family, they gon’ have to wait. I was respectful enough to let 30 people pass. Bet you won’t put your hands on nobody no more,” Jackson explained. However, not many people were taking his side, viewing him as rude and impatient.

Stephen Jackson Speaks On Viral Canelo Fight Aftermath Video: Watch

One of the biggest and most highly touted boxing matches of the year between Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo took place this past weekend. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown, to say the least for the viewers. Alvarez looked to be at peak performance, sweeping every round. The final scorecards read 118-109, 118-109, and 119-108. A considerable amount of people were predicting an upset but, that could not have been further from it. He showed out in front of plenty of stars, including Stephen Jackson.

It was total domination and Canelo had a scary message for the rest of the competition. “Nobody can compete with this Canelo. Two months in the mountains without my family. I still love boxing. I love boxing so f*****g much. Boxing is my life. Boxing made me the person I am today.” However, that was not the only big storyline from this fight. As we mentioned, Stephen Jackson was in attendance, and as he was trying to leave the fight, things got heated.

Stephen Jackson Explains What Happened

Security let some of Canelo’s family leave ahead of Jackson. He was understanding in that, saying, “Of course, me and my people stood to the side.” Then, a cop was trying to let more of the fighter’s family through and that is when he got upset. “One cop gotta grab me… I waited for 30 people. If he got 40 people that’s family, they gon’ have to wait.” He continues, “I was respectful enough to let 30 people pass. Bet you won’t put your hands on nobody no more.” Some people were disgusted with the former NBA player’s actions while others were in agreeance.

Stephen Jackson Roasted For Labeling NBA Players Who Choose Money Over Rings “Losers”

Former NBA pro-Stephen Jackson is getting some heat for a recent hot take. Jackson claimed that he would take “$50 million and a ring” over “$100 million and no ring”. Furthermore, Jackson labeled players who took the money to be “losers”. Jackson won one ring in his career, earning it with the Spurs back in 2003. He soon became an NBA journeyman and would eventually retire in 2014 after a season with the Clippers. He averaged 15.1 points per game across his career.

Jackson was roasted and clowned on all over the place for his take. “Man. Unk reallly thought he said something. Lol sometimes you just gotta smoke ya gas and put the phone away lol,” one person wrote on Instagram. “He a clown. A ring isn’t guaranteed but a max contract offer is. Them old dudes be selling them rings when they go broke anyways,” argued another.

Jackson Clowned On X

The roasting continued over on X, formerly Twitter. “Stephen jackson said “y’all don’t wanna be winners, y’all don’t wanna b the best” like anybody remembers what spurs team he was on that won without google. Talkin like he was the Tim Duncan of that squad,” one person tweeted. Smith had 11.8 points per game on 28.2 minutes during his lone championship season. “Stephen Jackson has a VERY inflated perception of who he was when he played Those rings have greatly gassed his head up,” another added.

Meanwhile, some people opted to offer examples to clown on Jackson. “Would you rather take the career of…Joe Johnson: $215M (contracts), 16 ppg, 7x all star, 0 championships Stephen Jackson: $69M, 15 ppg, 0x all star, 1 championship (‘03),” one user asked. However, overall, Jackson’s take didn’t go over especially well with the average social media user. Of course, Jackson often finds himself getting clowned for hot takes so maybe he did this on purpose.

Stephen Jackson On FaceTime With B.G. After Prison Release

B.G. was recently released from prison, after spending over a decade behind bars. He served time for gun and witness tampering charges, and has to follow quite a few guidelines amid his release. For the next two years he’s on supervised release, and will have to undergo a treatment program for alcohol/ drugs. He also has to attend school in order to “better set him up for future employment,” and serve 400 hours of community service.

With that being said, it looks like the 43-year-old rapper is already headed back to music. “For the record, I just want n***as to know that my n***a official Cash Money — ain’t no cap in that,” Birdman said yesterday. “Ya heard me? Ain’t nobody he can ever sign with beside this sh*t. I’m bringing all this sh*t together. B.G. signed to Cash Money so y’all don’t got to hear it from nowhere else.” The Cash Money founder isn’t the only person he’s reconnected with since his release, however. Recently, the rapper was also spotted on a FaceTime call with former NBA player Stephen Jackson.

B.G. And Stephen Jackson Chat On FaceTime

In the screenshot of the call, the two of them appear to be in good spirits. B.G. is seen sitting in his car while Jackson looks to be hanging out at home. It’s unclear what the duo could have been talking about during their call, however, fans are speculating in the comments section. Back in 2012, Jackson sung the praises of B.G. in an interview with ESPN, claiming that he was a major asset to his label. “Cash Money was a bigger threat when they had B.G., Juvenile, Turk and Wayne,” he explained. “Because all those guys can really rap, and they were real street guys with real credibility.

Clearly after 11 years behind bars, it’ll take some time for B.G. to reintegrate and become comfortable in society again. Luckily, he appears to have been welcomed by various peers who will surely help him along. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on B.G. and Stephen Jackson.

Stephen Jackson Confused By Jalen Green “Humping” Video

A video of Jalen Green “humping” former Rockets teammate Josh Christopher made the rounds on social media this week. The short clip shows Christopher pinned below Green with his legs spread in the air. Green, situated between Christopher’s legs, vigorously thrusts in a simulation of a sex act for a few seconds before rolling off Christopher. Both players are seen laughing as the video ends.

It looks like harmless roughhousing and fooling around. Furthermore, it’s something that if the video hadn’t been leaked, would never have seen the light of day. But of course, we live in a puritanical hellscape and that hates even the implication of homosexuality and so people are being really weird about this. Former NBA Stephen Jackson, reacting to the video, said that “[this sort of behavior] never happened at any of the basketball camps I ever went to. That’s never a thought, how did that come into play?.” The video, shot sometime between 2021 and 2023, features two young friends who are clearly having fun together. Sure, it may look weird to the 45-year-old Jackson but times change.

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

During Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July party, a photo emerged of Lil Baby enjoying a group hug with a couple of dudes. The internet got very weird about this, saying things like “It’s normalizing the gay agenda”. 50 Cent even got in on the action. The rapper proclaimed that he was very confused and upset about the picture. A picture of a consensual hug that he was not involved in. Boosie Badazz later took some subtweet potshots at Fif over his outrage. Kyle Kuzma later posted his own picture hugging Rubin. It still remains chill to hug your dudes. Hell, if you want to (consensually) pin your dude down and rail him, more power to you. And hey, if you don’t want to see this sort of thing, just don’t watch the video. It’s that simple.

According to the ACLU, they are tracking 491 active bills in state legislatures that can be described as anti-LGBTQ+. A separate anti-trans bill tracker claims to be tracking 561 bills in state legislatures. The fundamental right of LGBTQ+ people to simply exist is under attack. If we allow for there to be a “both sides” argument about whether it’s okay for two heterosexual men to platonically hug or jokingly mimic sexual acts, we are allowing the door to remain open for bigotry. It’s really not that deep. And yet, there are people in this world who have nothing better to do than use this as evidence as to why LGBTQ people should not exist. Find something better to do with your life than hating the existence of others.
