Magic Johnson has said that the NFL is “very happy” with Travis Kelce dating Taylor Swift because of the amount of revenue it has generated. Magic’s comments came during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel. Specifically, Kimmel had noted that Magic should “get one of those Commanders to date Taylor Swift. It seems like you make so much money.”

Swift Fever has taken over the league after the singer and Chiefs tight end got together nearly two months ago. The early weeks of Swift’s attendance at Arrowhead Stadium led to a massive surge in viewership from young women, a demographic that the NFL has never previously captured. While the Kelce family isn’t overly thrilled about the attention that the relationship gets, the NFL has continued to milk it dry in terms of content and coverage.

Is Travis Kelce Joining Taylor Swift In South America?

Meanwhile, Kelce had a fun little exchange with his brother this week about whether he would be hitting up the Eras Tour in South America. However, Traylor fans will be left disappointed as Kelce refused to give a definitive answer. “I might just say f-ck it and just go somewhere nice, I don’t know. My skin’s getting real pale so I gotta go somewhere sunny,” Travis said on New Heights when asked by his brother if he had plans for the Chiefs’ bye week. Taylor Swift, Travis’ girlfriend, will be in South America for the next few weeks for the final 2023 shows on the Eras Tour. November 9-11 see her in Buenos Aires. Meanwhile, she will spend November 17-19 in Rio and November 24-26 in São Paulo. There had been speculation as to whether Kelce would join Swift in at least Argentina, given his convenient bye week. The other dates seem improbable given the Chiefs games on November 20 and 26.

Alex Cooper Breaks Silence On Boston University “Trauma”

Call Her Daddy host and former D1 soccer player Alex Cooper recently broke her silence about “traumatic experiences” she endured while playing at Boston University. While Cooper did not reveal specific details, her recent interview with Cosmopolitan revealed the most information she has ever divulged about the incident. “With this specific thing, it’s so personal to me and it took such a toll on my mental health. Recently, I reconnected with a lot of the people that I played soccer with who were around when things were happening and it’s been pretty cathartic. I met up with one of my teammates in Santa Monica who I hadn’t seen since we graduated — we didn’t even say hi, we just both started crying. There’s another woman that went through it with me, and we finally saw each other recently and it’s just wild to talk about it together.”

While details are scarce, Cooper has alluded to the “traumatic experience” being at the hands of a coach during her time with the Terriers. Cooper played for the team between 2013 and 2015. However, Cooper said she left the team partway through her senior season in 2016 over the incident. Furthermore, Cooper has said that she intends to fully speak out about the incident on her podcast in the near future.

Elsewhere in the Cosmo interview, Cooper revealed that she plans to stay with Spotify for the time being. Cooper, who began Call Her Daddy at Barstool, joined Spotify on an exclusive $60 million deal in 2021. My relationship with them so far has been amazing. I’m very hands on with my product, as you know, and I need a partnership of people that are going to just be like, “Do your thing.” They’ve been great. So yeah, I’m going to do a renegotiation and see what happens. It’s a little bit different now because I’m not just the show—I have a network of people and it’s a bigger situation now, so probably the number will be bigger. That’s something I’ve been thinking about: “Is it good or bad for the number to come out again?” Cooper explained. Her contract with Spotify expires next year.

Furthermore, Cooper spoke on handling the backlash to her initial deal. I had a lot of therapy sessions when the first deal came out. Because I was like, “Whoa, it’s just not normal to have the amount of money you’re making public and that amount at such a young age.” I did see the backlash of “She doesn’t deserve that” or “She’s so greedy.” I’m like, “Oh my god, no one said this about Joe Rogan. No one said this about the SmartLess podcast guys.” But I’m the type of person that loves it, because it means there’s opportunity to help the conversation progress. Floyd Mayweather recently took to social media to flex some of his new drip. The piece in question appeared to be a collection of iced-out chains that culminated in a small cross pendant. It’s unclear how much the piece cost but it was likely just a drop in the ocean for the Money Man himself.

However, it’s just the most recent jewelry flex for the legendary boxer. Last month, Mayweather surprised his go-to jeweler with a watch worth $250,000. “The Money Man is back. I’m right here with my main man, Shuki. We in L.A., ballin’ out. This watch right here is going to Shuki. One of my custom pieces. Money Man, y’all know the rest,” Mayweather said in a video shared on social media. Furthermore, the watch was a white diamond and gold piece straight out of Mayweather’s personal collection.

However, Mayweather isn’t just spending money on himself. Last month, Mayweather’s private plane was confirmed to have landed in Israel, bringing 5000 lbs of supplies to the nation. The plane was loaded with everything from food and water to bulletproof vests. “David Rubin is the child of Holocaust survivors. He is so tuned in to do anything he can for the survival of the Jewish people. When I called Floyd and asked him if he would be willing to send his plane to Israel with necessary supplies for soldiers, he said, ‘Of course. I got your back. I don’t care how much it costs. I could tell you cause we family. 1997, I was in LA. My mom was out there but I really couldn’t live with my mama, so I had a place in Santa Monica. Sometimes I was short on my light bill. He continued, detailing what sort of money he was making. “Back then, you danced for the big women. The big women tip you good. But sometimes I had to miss work because I had football practice, you know how it is.” Johnson transferred to Oregon State after the 1999 season and spent one season with the Beavers. He was a second-round draft pick in 2001 and spent the next decade or so in the NFL. Johnson retired in 2017 after stints in Canada and Mexico.

Shedeur And Shilo Sanders Not Declaring For 2024 NFL Draft, Father Deion Claims

Deion Sanders has announced that neither of his sons will be declaring for the 2024 NFL draft despite being eligible. “They’re gonna come out the same year, next year. They’re not trying to leave daddy this year, by the way,” Sanders told The Dan Patrick Show this week. Shedeur, Colorado’s starting quarterback is a junior whose ability to thrive in the Pac-12 has seen his draft cap skyrocket. Many people see him as a first-round QB4 in 2024. Meanwhile, Shilo is seen as a mid-round safety who can play the 2024 college season due to the COVID waiver.

While both prospects are intriguing in their own ways, it’s clear that Deion wants more year of them at Colorado. If they don’t defy their father and jump to the NFL, that means they will play a season in the Big 12 when Colorado changes conferences next year. Furthermore, that will mark Shedeur’s third conference and Shilo’s fourth. Next year’s conference schedule sees Colorado play Arizona, Texas Tech, Kansas, UCF, Utah, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and Cincinnati.

Sanders & Colorado Continue To Struggle

However, all is not well in Boulder, Colorado. Colorado dropped their third consecutive game, falling below .500 for the first time this season. It came as a late rally against Oregon State fell short and the Buffs were knocked off 26-19. It’s now been a full month since Colorado’s last win, a 27-24 victory over Arizona State. Furthermore, the bowl window is closing bit by bit. Colorado, who are 4-5, need two wins from their last three games to be bowl-eligible.

Unfortunately for the Buffs, they have a rough schedule to close out the Pac-12 season. Up next is #21 Arizona, who are coming off three consecutive victories against ranked opponents. Then there is Washington State, who are 4-5 after a white-hot start to the season. Finally, they end the season against #18 Utah, who are 7-2. While Sanders has said the team isn’t thinking about bowl season, it would be an incredibly disappointing end to a season that started off so well.

The news comes just about a week after Paul’s team revealed that their initial opponent had failed to secure a visa for the United States. August is 35 years old and has a 10-1-1 career record. That makes him the most experienced fighter Paul has faced in his career so far. Furthermore, it marks a shift in Paul’s approach to boxing. It’s hard to take the decision as anything other than Paul addressing the primary criticism against him – that he takes name value over boxing reputation when it comes to opponents.

“I’m a professional boxer and I want to be world champion, so I need to pursue the path towards greatness against people who have been boxing their whole life. So far, my entire boxing career has been on pay-per-view, but now it’s about more than business. Now I want to build my experience in the ring against seasoned fighters. I’m coming to prove my greatness on Friday, December 15th live on DAZN for the world to see,” Paul said in a statement.

Stephen A. Smith is getting a lot of heat for gameday attire this past weekend. Smith was in Philly, the city where he established himself as an award-winning journalist, for Eagles-Cowboys. While at the game, an Eagles win, Smith stopped to take a selfie with a Philly die-hard named Molly. Subsequently, Molly posted the picture to social media. And almost immediately, people began roasting Smith for the oversized Jordan-brand hat he was wearing.

Not only was the baseball cap a size or two too big for Smith, the brim was so sharp and rigid that it looked frozen in place. One person compared it to the iconic Star Destroyer-class spaceship from Star Wars. Another say it reminded them of a meal kit taco shell. Meanwhile, the size of the hat also elicited its own scrutiny. One social media user noted that there was so much free space that Smith could “tuck a PB&J behind his ear like a cigarette”. Whether the fit was intentional, or simply a wardrobe oversight, remains to be seen.

Stephen A. Weighs In On “Dinner With JAY-Z” Question

Away from questionable headgear, Smith recently weighed in on the viral trend of answering the question of “Dinner with JAY-Z or $500K?”. Smith weighed in after Hov himself told people to take the money. “I don’t think this is as cut and dry as JAY-Z says it is. If you are broke and you are struggling to pay the bills? You take the half-million. Because money talks. But if you have the money, just adding $500K to your coffers opposed to a one-on-one meeting with such a brilliant brother as this? I’m not sure you turn it down.” Smith went on to argue that a face-to-face meeting provides you with more clarity when it comes to advice and the ability to cultivate a relationship with JAY-Z “if he’s impressed by you”.

However, it’s a question that has proven divisive. A lot of people have chosen the dinner over the money simply because it would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet JAY-Z. Furthermore, there are a few things about Smith’s answer that are a little personal experience-specific. Smith makes $12 million a year from ESPN alone. He doesn’t need the money. Dillon Brooks Ready To Renew Beef With LeBron James

Dillon Brooks showed no signs of reconciling with LeBron James ahead of the pair’s first matchup since their infamous playoff meeting earlier this year. “Ready to lock him up. He’s shooting the ball well. He’s been playing well. So I’m just there to make him tired, make him get into that fourth quarter early,” Brooks told the Houston Chronicle this week. “I feel like he (James) controls the media. I feel like a lot of guys, you know, have these podcasts and love social media, but I don’t really like it. And I don’t really like media. If I didn’t have to talk to you guys I wouldn’t talk to you guys. And you know, I just block it out and just play basketball.”

Brooks’ comments came ahead of the Rockets hosting the Lakers on Wednesday night. It will be the first time the pair will take the fall after Brooks tried, and failed, to ignite a beef between them during the first round of the playoffs. Brooks called LeBron “old” and consistently got in the veteran’s face. However, LeBron and the Lakers completely cooked Brooks’ then-team, the Grizzlies. Furthermore, the Grizzlies chose to let Brooks walk in free agency, in part due to the defensive specialist focusing more on the beef than playoff basketball.

Lakers File Complaint Over LeBron Treatment

However, Dillon Brooks isn’t the only one who seemingly has it in for LeBron. Earlier this week, the Lakers filed a complaint to the league over the officiating in their recent loss to the Heat. According to sources who spoke with ESPN, the Lakers submitted numerous clips of missed calls on LeBron during the Lakers’ one-point loss. One of the more egregious missed calls submitted was a video of Heat center Thomas Bryant making contact with LeBron’s face during a dunk attempt. LeBron attempted just four free throws during the game and has only drawn fouls on 6% of his drives this season.

“What they’re telling me is not consistent with what’s actually happening on the floor. When I went for the dunk attempt against Thomas Bryant, he clearly elbowed — like, arm straight across my face. And I asked him for the explanation — well, one of the refs said that he was straight up, hands straight in the air. Two of the refs said they were blocked and they didn’t see it,” LeBron himself said of the missed calls after the game.

This led to one of the more boring games of the season as the Chargers were able to win 27-6 even with their poor offensive performance as well. Many casual fans were disappointed, but not Arnold Schwarzenegger.
