Travis Scott has delivered some phenomenal projects over the years. Overall, his latest Utopia was a solid effort, while Astroworld is the one that made Scott a superstar. However, his true magnum opus is 2015’s Rodeo. This is a project that contains the signature Travis Scott sound. Furthermore, it was jam-packed with a ton of bangers as well as moody cuts that proved to be a staple of nights out in the middle of the decade. Although not everyone is convinced of this album’s greatness, it has a case for being a top 10 album of the 2010s.

Today, Travis Scott is turning 33 years old, which makes it a perfect time to go back to his catalog and think about some of his best work. In fact, today, we are going back to the Rodeo era with a collaboration between Scott, Justin Bieber, and Young Thug. Of course, we are talking about the incredible song “Maria I’m Drunk.” This is a song that Scott fans remember fondly, and it is one of those cuts that has stood the test of time.

The song begins with some moody vocals from Scott, over drugged-out and warped production that fits the aesthetic of the album perfectly. Meanwhile, Bieber and Thug deliver amazing vocal performances that stand out as some of the best on the record. This was quintessential Travis Scott during this era of his career. Fans will likely forever look back fondly on this era, and we hope that Scott some day revisits these sounds.

He goes by 2hollis and we are covering his new single “crush.” There is minimal information about the up and comer from Los Angeles, California. But after listening to a couple of his singles, we gathered that he is not your typical rapper.

He likes to delve into the realms of electronic and electro-pop quite often, as evidenced by “crush.” However, he also explores these genres in other recent tracks like “light” and “jeans.” Other trends we have noticed in 2hollis’ music is that likes to bring a lot of glitchy effects into the production. Taylor Bennett Drops Bouncy Banger “2 Much” With King Louie & Lala2muchhh

Chancellor Bennett, aka Chance the Rapper, has been enjoying quite the resurgence over the past week or so. The once beloved singer and spitter from Chicago, Illinois is slowly rebuilding his image after his debut album, The Big Day, tarnished it. He did so by beginning the rollout for his forthcoming mixtape, Star Line, with a new single “Buried Alive” over the weekend. Some feel it is still too late for him, but that will not be stopping him one bit. Perhaps his determination has inspired his younger brother, Taylor Bennett, to drop a banger for the summer called “2 Much.”

Born three years apart, Taylor also operates in the hip-hop space but has not grown the same fan base over quite a lengthy career. But he should gain some fans after “2 Much” with King Louie and Lala2muchhh. This track is pure fun from beginning to end, with the instrumental being extremely loose and reminiscent of Jersey club. Taylor does not pop in until the latter half of the track, but he does not get lost in the shuffle.

Considering how much energy and spirit that Lala and King Louie bring to the table, it is an impressive feat. For Taylor, this is just his first single since 2023’s “Go,” which dropped in September. “Views” By Drake Turns 8: “Still Here” Will Always Be The Legend’s Mantra

One thing about Drake is that he is always going to remain standing no matter what. Over the last month or so, that rings true, especially after Kendrick Lamar decided to choose violence on “Like That.” A lot of people feel that he is currently on top right now against everyone who checked him after his “Push Ups” response. Some have even gone as far as to say that Lamar will not be able to top him. Even if you are not the biggest fan of his, you have to admit that he always finds a way to maintain his stature in hip-hop. In fact, Drake even feels the same way on “Still Here.”

“Based on what I got, it’s hard to think that He don’t hear me / Hitting like that 30 on my jersey, man, I’m gifted,” Drake raps on the now eight-year-old track. Yes, Views, the fourth studio album from The Boy, has now hit that mark today. It remains at the top in terms of first week sales numbers, raking in an absurd 852,000 copies. Additionally, it still sits firmly at 80th on the Billboard Hot 200 chart, five spots up from last week. If you do the math, it has now been somewhere on the list for 414 weeks.

Furthermore, it is one of eight Drake projects to still be on somewhere on the chart. He might really be remembered as the Iron Man of hip-hop for the reasons we mentioned, but also for how his albums seem to always stand the test of time. PARTYNEXTDOOR Wants To See Things Through On “Make It To The Morning”

You know what kind of vibes you are going to get whenever PARTYNEXTDOOR drops a new album. That is especially the case when it is a self-titled release. Over the weekend, the sensual R&B balladeer returned with PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 (P4), the first entry in the series since 2016. It is also his first record since 2020, so this is an exciting time to be fan of the Mississauga, Ontario native. One song that we have been enjoying from this new PARTYNEXTDOOR album is “Make It To The Morning.”

The veteran sticks to his tried-and-true formula of moody slow-mo sounds on this cut, just like the rest of the album does. “M a k e I t T o T h e M o r n i n g” sees PARTY singing passionately about wanting to give this girl he is seeing a chance, even though she seems to be problematic. It appears that this song is depicting their first time seeing each other and instead of his normal routine and of a same-night stand, he wants to make it to the next day.

“I don’t wanna fight with ya, tryna end my night with ya / Don’t let yo’ mind getcha, I wanna vibe with you,” he sings. In terms of the quality of the track, it does have a solid melody and the expected solid vocals. ASAP Twelvyy Is Focused On New Single “Checkpoint Charlie”

Earlier this month, ASAP Twelvyy unleashed his first solo single of the year, “Checkpoint Charlie.” The NYC-born performer’s focused flow shines through on the laid-back track, which samples Metro Boomin and Coi Leray’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse soundtrack cut, “Self Love.” Twelvyy’s latest release sees him rhyme about making music, touring, and chasing his dreams.

ASAP Twelvyy’s new song follows the December 2023 release of Kid$ Gotta Eat (Deluxe), which boasts features from Rome Streetz, ASAP Nast, ASAP Ant, and more. The deluxe edition of the album provided fans with an additional five new tracks that weren’t on the original, which he unveiled in July of last year.

ASAP Twelvyy Drops New Heat Amid Kid$ Gotta Eat Tour

New music is far from the only thing ASAP Twelvyy has to be excited about these days, however. He’s also currently making his way around the U.S. on a mini tour in support of Kid$ Gotta Eat. He’s gearing up for his first-ever headlining show in New York City at Sony Hall. He’ll be joined by Rome Streetz, Teewhy G, and 27Delly. The show is scheduled for May 23, 2024, and tickets are available for purchase now. In recent weeks he’s also performed in Dallas and Chicago. Later this year, he’s even set to perform at Sumol Summer Fest in Portugal.

So far, fans are loving ASAP Twelvyy’s latest single, and can’t wait to hear more. Fortunately for them, they shouldn’t have to wait too much longer. A recent Instagram post suggests that he’s considering dropping more new music shortly, though official details of that have not yet been confirmed at the time of writing. Adekunle Gold Lets The Lust Out On New Single “Rodo”: Stream

Adekunle Gold is not slowing down anytime soon, and he’s got another track to heat the summer up even more with his new single, “Rodo.” Moreover, it’s yet another Afrobeat-style cut with watery chords, nimble percussion, a lot of vocal and flow dexterity, and some lustful and romantic themes that might spur you to invite someone to the dance floor. His run continues following other great tracks this year like “The Life I Chose” and the Kodak Black and Doja Cat collab for The Book Of Clarence‘s soundtrack, “JEEZU.” Lyrically, the Nigerian artist is as blunt and charismatic as ever, and he also engages with a few different vocal deliveries, flows, melodies, and other elements to make his performance all the more dynamic.

Furthermore, a big part of this dynamism is also due to very, very subtle additions throughout to the main core of the song, such as a quiet horn lick here and there or some extra keys to spice up a particular line on the verse or bridge. Adekunle Gold coasts through all this quite well, although “Rodo” definitely benefits from an approach of stasis and mood-setting rather than a super fleshed-out or evolutionary song structure. Sure, there are beat drop-outs and parts in which the hand percussion has a bit more emphasis, but for the most part, you’re just happy to stay in that vibe. Also, it makes sense given the simple but very effective principles of previous cuts, such as the Bas collab “Khartoum.”
