Neek Bucks & 2 Chainz “Mask Up”

Neek Bucks has been on the rise for a while now. The Harlem rapper garnered respect for earlier projects like El Barrio and El Barrio 2, and as a result, he isn’t wanting for confidence. He named his last full-length album Neighborhood Hov, which boasted some big features, including Benny the Butcher, G Herbo, and Lil Tjay.

Now, Bucks has teamed up with another big name: 2 Chainz. On “Mask Up,” the two rappers deliver hard bars over an equally hard beat. Both artists are all business, talking up their lifestyles and down their ops.

With talk of masks comes the obligatory COVID references: “Bro got the stick in the party, he don’t got Corona but he like to mask up,” raps Bucks. 2 Chainz heightens the reference with some deft lyrical acrobatics to start his verse: “Mask on, Glock .19, Covid 19, worth 19K when I was nineteen / Shoot you twice just like a vaccine.”

The song is in and out. Neek delivers a quick chorus and a verse, Chainz gives a guest verse, and Neek closes out with another rendition of the chorus. Its brief length means the song never loses its energy, and is sure to warrant a replay.

Quotable Lyrics

I like my b***hes in two’s, two twins and I know what to do
Savage Fenty on your panties, baby, move the pantiеs over I’ma ooh

Dirty Fanta, baby, my Atlanta baby, I get that ass in the mood

24kGoldn Releases New Single “Mistakes”

24kGoldn has been on quite the streak recently. The San Francisco rapper has dropped single after single this year, including the BOYCOLD collaboration “SCAR” and “In My Head,” an angsty track fittingly featuring Travis Barker.

Now, 24kGoldn has given us a low-key song sans features. On “Mistakes,” it’s little more than the “Valentino” rapper and a guitar. The guitar, tinny and understated, strums out a simple melody which 24k uses as his hook.

The rapper croons of past blunders and moving on. “I’m pulling the blinds and shutting my eyes / Tryna forget about yesterday,” he declares on the chorus. He insists to a lover that he’s a changed man, albeit a flawed one. There’s not much more 24k has to say on the subject, and the song clocks in at just over two minutes. In the end, the short tune is about being honest with yourself and with loved ones about who you are.

Check out the song below and let us know what you think of it.

Quotable Lyrics

This for the loners, the f**k-ups and stoners
The faded but focused, processin’ emotions
As pain washes over, we shakin’ ’em boulders
Off all of our shoulders, yeah, yeah, yeah

Bree Runway Reminds Us She’s “THAT GIRL” In New Single & Music Video

Bree Runway is back with a bang, sharing her latest single, “THAT GIRL,” this New Music Friday.

The London-born performer shared the EASYFUN-produced upbeat track after taking some time off from the industry, and the bouncy, upbeat club banger has her fans proudly rallying behind her.

“I’ve been on a mini hiatus and there’s no better way to remind you that I’m ‘THAT GIRL’,” the 29-year-old told Paper Mag. “This song automatically makes me feel like the main character in the middle of a sweaty club, and I’m just oozing sex, glamour and confidence whilst everybody watches.”

She continued her explanation with, “It’s my everyday reminder of how fabulous I am, and it’s your new everyday reminder too – you’re automatically a 10 if you: turn this on, f*ck with it, press play and feel liberated, pumped up, and free.”

Earlier this year, the singer dropped off “Pressure” and “Somebody Like You.”

Tasty ass bitch, skin brown like a Snicker

M.I.A. Prepares For Her “MATA” Album With “Beep” Single: Listen

M.I.A.’s excitement for her sixth studio album is incredibly evident, especially after she threatened to leak the project herself if it wasn’t on streamers before September ended.

Seeing as October has officially begun and MATA still hasn’t arrived, it’s clear that the English rapper didn’t get her wish, though she did announce that the record will land on October 14th while delivering her third single so far, “Beep.”

The upbeat, rhythmic track is all about using your voice to make sure that you’re heard while staying true to yourself. It follows the arrival of previous songs like “Popular” and “The One” earlier this year.

“Next gen transcend women and men / Bring a noise, make it count, yeah do it again / Never stop, never give up, don’t pretend / Tell a friend all the rules you’re gonna bend,” M.I.A. rhymes on one of her verses.

While we didn’t hear from any collaborators on the singles, the 47-year-old previously hinted that she worked with the likes of Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj on her upcoming LP.

Tory Lanez Fuels Iggy Azalea Dating Rumours With “Y.D.S // Iggy DelDia”: Stream

Tory Lanez’s Sorry 4 What album already has some obvious fans (among them is LeBron James, although he’s received considerable backlash for praising the R&B artist), but there’s one song in particular that has the world’s attention right now – “Y.D.S // Iggy DelDia.”

Seeing as the PLAYBOY has been romantically linked to Australian beauty Iggy Azalea as of late, some are speculating that the song’s title could be a not-so-subtle name drop, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

On the second half of the track, Lanez sings, “Somebody need to thank your mama / For good face and for good ass on you / She come and need no drama / No fake friends and that’s a flex for you.”

The closing verse ends with “I watch when she buss down / Good, mm, when she buss down,” which very well could be a nod to Azalea’s frequent viral twerking moments.

Quotable Lyrics:

‘Cause I’m on deck, on fire, don’t stop
Baby, why would you play with a n*gga that way?
I’ve been gettin’ cake, cake, cake, a n*gga came up, made a hundred thousand in one day
Bitch got an ass like Kim but I hit that shit first and I feel like Ray J
It’s no switch on the Glock but it’s racks on the watch
And the automatic choppa do the same thing, ayy

dvsn Connects With Jagged Edge For Latest Single, “What’s Up”

As we make our way into R&B season, Canadian R&B duo dvsn has returned with a song that may just have you contemplating sending a text to your ex, called “What’s Up” featuring Jagged Edge.

If you tuned into the artist’s last single, “If I Get Caught Cheating,” this new arrival is a continuation of that, with the accompanying music video revealing the dire and often heartbreaking consequences that come along with infidelity.

“This song was made by us alongside Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox at a time when we were looking for the perfect way to describe the moments and emotions leading up to that late night text you know you shouldn’t send to someone,” dvsn shared in a statement.

“Please don’t mix this song with alcohol and pre-block anyone you know you shouldn’t be talking to. You have 30 mins,” they teased on Twitter ahead of the track’s debut at midnight.

YG & H.E.R. “Go Dumb” On Their Latest Collab Track

YG and H.E.R. made magic back in 2019 with their “Slide” collab track, and as we welcome the former’s highly anticipated I GOT ISSUES album, a new joint song from the duo has quickly emerged as a fan favourite on the tracklist.

Titled “Go Dumb,” the nearly four-and-a-half minute long bop finds the two artists trading sensual verses. “Your body is banging, you look better naked / That p*ssy smell like water, you don’t spray it with fragrance,” the West Coast rapper rhymes to the woman he’s got his eye on.

For her part, the R&B superstar sings, “You see the wrist and the ‘Rari and you know / Don’t need no rich n*gga, got it on my own / You talkin’ money, it ain’t no discussion / All these n*ggas ain’t really ’bout nothing.”
