Teezo is telling fans that this is an r&b album, albeit with a huge pop-punk influence. Fans are excited about this, and his latest single with Janelle Monae is definitely going to create some hype. This is where his vocals truly shine, especially when paired up with Janelle Monae. Overall, the track is an interesting listen. At this point, the Teezo album is going to be very unique.

Los Angeles, California-born rap legend Hopsin is back with more new music for this year. In fact, this is his fifth single and the title of it is “Origin Story.” It features Chicago dance and rap group The Future Kingz. They have performed with some of the biggest rap stars in the world such as Chance The Rapper. They team up with another icon in their own right for this brand new song.

Eminem has heavily influenced the career of Hopsin. Over the years, the 38-year-old has penned “Stan-like” tracks of his own in the series of “Ill Mind of Hopsin.” It currently sits at nine songs with the two most popular being the fifth and eighth installments. Each sits at over 88 million streams on Spotify and they detail a lot of issues that have gone on in the rapper’s career. But, Hopsin now adds another storytelling track to his catalog with “Origin Story.”

Sleepy Hallow And TaTa Have A New Single “For You”

Jamaican-born and Brooklyn-raised rapper Sleepy Hallow grabs TaTa for a brand new single. The song, “For You,” is two minutes even and it features a chorus and verse from guest rapper TaTa. Sleepy comes in for the second verse only, surprisingly. However, he still puts on a nice performance when he does appear. This single seems to appear on the next project from Sleepy Hallow. Genius shows on their website the name and cover art, with the title being Boy Meets World.

The website says that it should be released on September 15. That means it will be Sleepy’s fourth studio album and first since 2021. The last project, Still Sleep? features his biggest hit “2055.” The song currently sits at a whopping 644 million plus streams on Spotify. This fourth single of 2023, “For You,” showcases the lane that Hallow is strongest in. His drill rap style mixed with emotional bars is prevalent once again.

The beat is very simple and typical drill fare. The lyrics talk a lot about suffering pain, losing love, and trying to find that inner confidence again. Earthgang Explore What Would Happen If They “Die Today” On New Single

Earthgang, the duo of Johnny Venus and Doctor Dot, are back with a new single. They’re continuing to follow up last year’s underrated gem GHETTO GODS, an album with a stacked feature list. Future, J. Cole, JID, Musiq Soulchild, Baby Tate, Lynae Vanee, CeeLo Green, Nick Cannon, and Ari Lennox all make appearances on the album. A few months after its release it got a deluxe version that added performances from Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Smino, and Blxckie. Now the duo are transitioning into a new era with their second single of 2023, “Die Today.”

The song is a bit more of a somber change of pace from the duo’s previous track. It sees the pair musing on what would happen if they died today, asking questions on the chorus like “would you kiss my face” or “give my cold heart away.” The more serious subject matter is nothing new for the pair who have often worn their emotions on their sleeves. The song also comes with an extended version that features a further instrumental outro heightening the emotion. Check out the song itself below.

Earthgang Get Personal Once Again

Earthgang’s previous new song “Bobby Boucher” was a team-up with fellow Spillage Village member Benji. The track paid tribute to Adam Sandler’s famous character of the same name in the film The Waterboy. Clearly, it was a fitting tribute, as Sandler himself gave his approval to the track’s accompanying music video.

Earthgang hasn’t been quiet this year. They’ve appeared as features on two other artists’ new songs. Armand Hammer is a rap duo that consists of high-level lyricists billy woods and E L U C I D. Billy heralds from Washington D.C. while E L U C I D is from Jamaica, Queens, New York. Both are no strangers to each other, as the two of them joined forces in 2013. Together they formed their own rap duo called Armand Hammer. They are well-known in the underground scene floating on top of some pretty experimental production. So naturally, they brought on JPEGMAFIA for the production of their new single called, “Armand Hammer Teams Up With JPEGMAFIA For “Woke Up And Asked Siri How I’m Gonna Die.”

It is an interesting title for sure, but that like we said is nothing out of the ordinary for any three of these artists. This single will be a part of their next LP, We Buy Diabetic Test Strips. The album is expected to be released on September 29, 2023, on all streaming platforms. Genius has the tracklist at 15 songs, so when it drops we will be here to cover it.

Both billy woods and E L U C I D ride the production very nicely. The atmosphere from the beginning is a little eerie. However, it mellows out allowing for the lyrics to shine from Armand Hammer. “Life’s a trip, if you live long enough you gon’ see it all / Life’s a blip, I flew in under the radar / Beat up spaceships, sliding under the light of a dead star / Still made my shift, appropriately lit for the graveyard.” JPEG continues to add his toolbelt with another great effort on the beat.

Superstar EDM producer, singer, and songwriter Tiësto is back with another dance-ready banger “BOTH.” This is a collaboration with BIA and it features 21 Savage. The track runs just over three minutes with Tiësto’s signature production style. This single comes off the heels of his 2023 record DRIVE back in April. He brought on artists such as A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, pop star Ava Max, Black Eyed Peas, and many more.

However, Tiësto is not known to slow down on making new material, as he consistently has put out music since the late 1990s. 21 Savage and BIA pen bars about it being hard to choose between options in their expensive and wild lifestyles. Because they have the money they decide to enjoy all of what life has to offer. For example, 21 raps, “Seen a Lamb’ and a ‘Rarri, couldn’t decide, so I bought both (On God, 21).” BIA is also in a similar dilemma, “This money and the love, I need both of them (Frrp, cash).”

Tiësto Is An Icon

Tiësto seems like he will be a timeless hitmaker until the day he decides to retire. Fans have so many hits from the Netherlands native. “The Business” is over one billion streams, while others like “The Motto” with Ava Max are well on their way to that mark with over 675 million plays. These are all recent songs but it shows that even as Tiësto ages, his songs do not and they continue to get people in the club on their feet every time.

Bas Delivers On A Late Night Summer Jam With “Ho Chi Minh”

Dreamville’s label is loaded from top to bottom with talent. You have the heavy hitters with J. Cole and JID. Even on the “lower end” you have artists such as Ari Lennox, EARTHGANG, etc. However, it is hard to not mention Bas. He consistently puts out quality material when he decides to drop. That is the caveat, though, “when.” It has been just over five years since the release of his last full-length, Milky Way. Tracks such as “Tribe” featuring J. Cole and “Boca Raton” with A$AP Ferg are standouts from this project, but the hits do not stop there.

This year, two singles from the Queens, New York native have been big hits with his fanbase. “Diamonds,” released back at the beginning of the year on January 24, sees Bas getting into his slow-jam bag and lightly but effectively produced cut. Then, he linked up with J. Cole for another fire collaboration on “Passport Bros.” An elite summer bop that transports you to a Latin-America country to drink and dance the night away. Now, we have another single to promote his upcoming fourth album with the single, “Ho Chi Minh.”

This Will Be On Bas’ Next Album

Ho Chi Minh is a city located in southern Vietnam and it is considered the largest city in the country. Additionally, it is the central hub for all things business and financial. Bas is rapping a lot about introspection, “Who gon’ bleed with me in a war of one? / Who my enemy? I’m the only one / Self destruction is imminent, dimmin’ my light.” The bars contrast nicely with the emotional piano keys and warped vocals on the backend. It sure to be a fan favorite on his long-awaited album We Only Talk About Real Sh*t When We’re F**ked Up.
