Lil Wayne Gets House Visit From Skip Bayless

Lil Wayne and Skip Bayless have quite the special and unexpected relationship. Moreover, the NBA commentary star recently swung by Weezy’s house, which is far from the first time they’ve linked up in private settings. For example, the New Orleans rapper’s pregame for Rolling Loud Los Angeles this year was nothing other than a chat with Bayless at the former’s home. Given that Tunechi has often stopped by his show to talk about sports, and how they say they talk about so much more behind closed doors, this definitely won’t be the last time we see them together. However, recent news showed how their joint efforts to help out one of the most divisive NBA stars right now allegedly weren’t as well-received as they intended.

Furthermore, according to Skip Bayless on his podcast, Ja Morant refused to have Bayless connect him with the legendary MC. “Lil Wayne texted me,” the LeBron hater remarked. “He said, ‘Hey, can you connect me with Ja? Because I could help him. I’ve been there. I’ve done all this. I wound up in prison on Riker’s Island. [Wayne] knows what happens. I know where you can go wrong and I know what’s right.’ I said, ‘I’ll try.’ I reached out to Ja; ‘Would you sit with Lil Wayne? Would you talk with Lil Wayne?’ Wayne would fly to Memphis in a heartbeat tonight. Wayne would private plane it and go right to Memphis if he thought he could save a career and a soul.” Apparently, Bayless never heard back, though the Grizzlies guard would probably and understandably might like to keep things private right now.

Skip Bayless Visits Lil Wayne

Regardless, Bayless explained why the two are such good friends, and why they’ll continue to support each other in endeavors like these. In a quote-tweet of a clip of his breakdown, he summed things up. “I am deeply proud of my relationship with Lil Wayne,” he expressed. “I love the man and I am so proud of him for what he has become. There’s only one other human I talk sports with off-air…that’s Wayne.”

Meanwhile, many joked that the 40-year-old MC could be the next co-host of Undisputed. While that would be an absolute treat to see, he’s also quite the busy man. Regardless, we’re sure that there will only be more great moments and discussions from these two to come. Skip Bayless Hates On LeBron In Yet Another Unique Way

Skip Bayless is easily one of the most interesting men in the entire sports broadcasting world. Although a lot of people hate him, he is someone who refuses to stop being himself. Overall, you truly have to admire him for that. Moreover, you can’t help but admire how persistent he is when it comes to going after the likes of LeBron James. For years, Skip has tried to diminish the King’s accomplishments. Despite all that he is done, Bayless continues to be a thorn in James’ side.

Recently, NBA prospect Brandon Miller was asked about which NBA players he would consider to be the GOATs of the sport. In his eyes, he felt as though Paul George was the best player ever. He even went so far as to say that George is better than LeBron. Additionally, he spoke about none other than Michael Jordan and how he really isn’t all that impressed by him. Subsequently, this led to a whole lot of discourse on Twitter.

Never Change, Skip Bayless

Of course, Skip Bayless inserted himself into all of this, in the funniest way possible. Above, Bayless used some bizarre logic to explain how Miller was actually making LeBron out to be better than Jordan, which is simply not acceptable. “My issue with Brandon Miller isn’t that he thinks Paul George is better than LeBron,” Skip wrote. “It’s that his statement presumes LeBron is better than Jordan. THAT’S what now makes me wonder about Brandon Miller.” Predictable, but still very funny.

Ultimately, this whole saga of Skip hating on LeBron has been interesting to watch over the years. LeBron has yet to acknowledge Bayless, and he likely never will. However, you can’t help but admit it would be funny if he did. Let us know what you think of Skip’s take, in the comments section below. Stephen A. Smith Says He’s Proud Of Shannon Sharpe

June 13 marked the last time Shannon Sharpe would host UNDISPUTED. After seven years, the NFL Hall of Famer left the talk show he co-hosted with Skip Bayless. Reportedly, the relationship between Sharpe and Bayless had drastically deteriorated, prompting Sharpe to leave Fox for greener pastures. Sharpe’s final day was marked by the bizarre retweeting of an adult content creator and a moving behind-the-scenes video of his final broadcast.

Sharpe’s departure was yet another seismic shift in the sports media landscape. It came less than a month after Pat McAfee announced that he was leaving FanDuel to join ESPN. While many people have commented on Sharpe’s tearful departure, some of the most insightful thoughts came from Stephen A. Smith. Smith is in a unique position to comment, having also spent considerable time as a co-host to Bayless. The pair co-hosted First Take between 2012 and 2016.

Stephen A. Says He’s “Proud” Of Sharpe

Smith addressed Shannon Sharpe’s final day on his show. “Shannon Sharpe said goodbye on FS1. I’ll confess, I was a bit surprised. I was surprised at the tears. I was surprised at the emotion. I’m quite sure that some people out there thought it was fake as hell. And I was really, to be honest with you, I was proud at the way they ended their time together. And again, I’m assuming, because I don’t know, that the feelings weren’t everything that was expressed in Shannon Sharpe’s sign-off. Because in this business, you just don’t see things happen that abruptly.”

He continued. “But I got to tell you, it could not have been handled any better by Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless. That’s how you do it….Shannon brought up all the great points that he should have brought up, and there’s nobody on the planet that can relate to what Shannon Sharpe had to say to Skip Bayless better than me. And that is that.” Smith also praised Bayless for his role in forging numerous careers. Sharpe’s next landing spot is still unknown, but ESPN has been floated as a possibility. Stephen A. Smith Heaps Praise On Skip Bayless

Stephen A. Smith is one of the most famous men on sports talk television. However, there is no doubt that he got to where he is now with a lot of hard work. Overall, the road has not been an easy one for Smith. He was let go from ESPN back in the 2000s but was ultimately able to come back on First Take. The show was co-hosted by him and none other than Skip Bayless. Although, Skip left the show in 2016, where he joined forces with Shannon Sharpe and formed the show Undisputed.

On Tuesday, Shannon Sharpe had his very last show with Bayless. Weeks prior, Sharpe had made it clear that he would be moving on. Subsequently, this led to plenty of rumors about his relationship with Bayless. However, during his final episode, he expressed gratitude toward Skip as he ultimately gave Sharpe a platform to be successful. Now, Stephen A. is weighing in on all of this. During an episode of his podcast, he revealed just how much Skip did for him at ESPN. Moreover, he noted that his career would look a lot different if it weren’t for Bayless.

“And I can relate because I am sitting here right now with this podcast feeding off my success and what I’ve been fortunate and blessed enough to achieve at ESPN,” Stephen A. explained. “And knowing that it starts with Skip Bayless. […] There’s a whole bunch of brothers and sisters – Black people – that Skip Bayless has helped out and looked out for. And I know people try to question his intent. I’m highlighting his results.”

At this point, a lot of fans would love to see Stephen A. and Skip join forces again. However, this doesn’t seem quite likely. In fact, it probably makes more sense for Shannon Sharpe to join First Take. Although, that doesn’t seem imminent either. Skip Bayless Claims Ja Morant Ghosted Him After Lil Wayne Asked About Setting Up A Meeting

In a recent episode of his podcast, Fox Sports personality Skip Bayless claimed that Lil Wayne, with whom he has a long-standing friendship, asked if Bayless could set up a meeting between himself and Memphis Grizzlies standout Ja Morant. As Bayless says, while he made an effort, he has yet to hear back from Morant about the opportunity.

“Lil Wayne, I said this on a previous podcast,” Bayless said. “Texted me, he said, ‘Hey, can you connect me with Ja? Because I could help him. I’ve been there. I’ve done all this. I wound up in prison, Rikers Island. I know what happens. I know where you can go wrong, and I know what right.

“I said I’ll try, and I reached out to Ja,” he continued. “‘Would you sit with Lil Wayne? Would you talk with Lil Wayne?’ Wayne would fly to him. He’d fly to Memphis in a heartbeat, tonight. Wayne would private plane it and go right to Memphis if he thought he could save a career and a soul. I got nothing back from Ja, didn’t expect anything back.”

It’s unclear how Bayless was able to get in contact with Morant, who is currently waiting to hear from the NBA about the fallout from its investigation into a recent incident where he waved a gun in a car on Instagram Live. Adam Silver said before the NBA Finals that the league was able to find additional information in its investigation, but explained that it would wait until after the series ended between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat to announce the results.

Shannon Sharpe Tearfully Says Goodbye to ‘Undisputed’ and Thanks Skip Bayless

Shannon Sharpe’s run on Fox Sports’ Skip and Shannon: Undisputed is officially over. At the end of the June 13 show, Sharpe thanked all of the team members for FS1 and tearfully spoke highly of his time with Skip Bayless.

“Skip Bayless. You fought for me, brother. I’m here because of you. You’ve allowed me to share the stage with you. You’ve allowed me to share the platform. I’m going to cry in the car, but I’m not going to cry now. The opportunity that you gave me, to become what I became, I’m forever indebted to you. I’ll never forget what you did for me. You’ve helped me grow more than you’ll ever know. One more thing before you go, Skip. One more thing. All I ask, is when you lay your head of that pillow at night, know I gave you everything I had. I gave you everything I had.”

– Shannon Sharpe

In the wake of the departure of Shannon Sharpe from the popular FS1 talk show Undisputed, sports enthusiasts are eagerly speculating about who will step into the esteemed analyst’s shoes.

Fueling the rumors and intensifying the anticipation, Bovada, a renowned online sportsbook, has recently unveiled its live betting odds on who might join forces with the outspoken host, Skip Bayless, on the highly acclaimed show. Leading the way for Sharpe’s replacement is Sean Salisbury at +130, followed by Kendrick Perkins at +600.

The full run of odds is available below.

Sean Salisbury +130
Kendrick Perkins +600
Chris “Mad Dog” Russo +700
Nick Wright +700
Scottie Pippen +800
Chad Johnson +900
Brian Dawkins +900
Ray Lewis +900
Marcellus Wiley +900
Tom Brady +1500

Sharpe was long believed to work his way out of FS1, especially after he and Bayless clashed on air over Damar Hamlin’s injury.

Following a controversial tweet from Bayless about Hamlin’s injury, Sharpe did not show up to Undisputed. A day after his absence, Shannon Sharpe returned to the Undisputed desk, and the fireworks immediately went off between him and Bayless.

In a monologue, Sharpe explained his absence and stated he didn’t agree with Skip’s tweet. “Skip tweeted something and although I disagree with the tweet, and hopefully, Skip will take it down…”

Skip would interject and state, “Time out — I’m not going to take it down because I stand by what I tweeted.”

The two would go back and forth briefly before Shannon deflected to the show’s moderator to continue forward with the show.

You can see the moment below.

Shannon skipped the Tuesday broadcast, according to TMZ, because he was “upset” with Skip Bayless’s offensive Damar Hamlin tweet, in which he questioned why the NFL would postpone a crucial game so late in the season. The outlet added that the network is uncertain as to whether Sharpe will report for duty on Wednesday.

In the episode that aired the following Tuesday, Bayless took the opportunity to retract his remarks and explain his intentions.

The Post also notes Sharpe’s relationship with LeBron James, who Bayless relentlessly goes after, contributed to the departure.

Ja Morant Reportedly Refused Skip Bayless & Lil Wayne’s Attempts To Help Him

Ja Morant has been going through a plethora of issues as of late. Overall, it started a few months ago when he flashed a gun at a strip club. However, these issues have actually persisted quite a bit. He flashed another gun while on Instagram Live, and for now, he is being suspended from Grizzlies events. Furthermore, the NBA is planning on delivering a hefty suspension upon Ja. This could be massive, and it will ultimately have some huge consequences on his career.

Now, a lot of people are trying to help Ja and give him some much-needed guidance. Although, it doesn’t seem like Ja Morant is interested in hearing this. According to Skip Bayless, Morant even turned down the help of Lil Wayne. On his podcast, Skip revealed how Wayne reached out to him first. “Lil Wayne texted me,” Skip began. “He said, ‘Hey, can you connect me with Ja? Because I could help him. I’ve been there. I’ve done all this. I wound up in prison on Riker’s Island. [Wayne] knows what happens. I know where you can go wrong and I know what’s right.’”

Ja Morant Wouldn’t Pick Up The Phone

Subsequently, Skip found a way to reach out to the Memphis Grizzlies star. Unfortunately, however, he never actually heard back.  I said, ‘I’ll try.’ I reached out to Ja; ‘Would you sit with Lil Wayne? Would you talk with Lil Wayne?’ Wayne would fly to Memphis in a heartbeat tonight. Wayne would private plane it and go right to Memphis if he thought he could save a career and a soul,” Bayless went on to explain. Needless to say, Ja Morant is keeping things private right now.

Hopefully, Morant is able to turn things around for himself. A lot of people are down on him right now, and it could be a while before he builds that trust back up again. Either way, Skip Bayless nor Lil Wayne will be helping him, anytime soon. Stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Shannon Sharpe Delivers Tearful Goodbye To Skip Bayless & “Undisputed”

Shannon Sharpe announced just a couple of weeks ago that he would be leaving Undisputed. Overall, this announcement wasn’t that much of a shock to anyone. This is because he and Skip Bayless had seemingly been beefing as of late. Although Sharpe was quick to underplay this in interviews, it was clear in the media that he and Skip were not friends. The two would get into some heavy arguments, and it seemed to be getting personal. Consequently, fans expected the move in some capacity.

Considering the NBA Finals wrapped up last night, it was revealed that today was Shannon Sharpe’s very last show. Throughout the episode, he and Skip were quite cordial. They spoke about Ja Morant, the Nuggets winning the NBA title, and a whole host of other topics. Moreover, at the end of the show, Shannon Sharpe signed off by thanking Skip for the opportunity. It was a sad moment for both men as you could tell Sharpe was emotional. He even had tears in his eyes as he spoke.

Skip Bayless Makes The NBA Finals About LeBron James

Skip Bayless is someone who has consistently been known as a hater. Although he has been on TV for a very long time, he has never laid off his hating ways. Overall, this is something that has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. However, he has yet to actually change up. If you watch Bayless, you know his main target has always been LeBron James. He refuses to truly acknowledge LeBron’s greatness, even if it makes him look like a complete idiot.

That said, Skip Bayless was pretty critical of LeBron for getting swept by the Denver Nuggets. To be fair, the Nuggets were a fantastic team. They made it to the NBA Finals and ultimately beat the Miami Heat in five games. Overall, this is a series that could have very easily been a sweep. That said, with the Nuggets winning it all last night, Bayless took the opportunity to take some shots at LeBron James.

Skip Bayless Speaks

“REMEMBER: LeBron had four late chances to beat the Nuggets,” Skip Bayless began. “And in those 4th quarters, he shot 7 of 23 and 1 of 10 from 3 – and failed to hit the rim with two late shots in Game 4. LeBron’s Lakers got swept. The Lakers obviously would’ve beaten the Heat.” Skip loves to do this thing where he sets the expectation high but claims that this is exactly what should happen. That way, when LeBron doesn’t meet expectations, he can make fun of him for it. It’s a pretty obvious tactic, and he continues to do it.

However, Skip Bayless and his show Undisputed are about to undergo some big changes. Shannon Sharpe is officially leaving the show, although it remains to be seen when that will happen. Now that the NBA Finals are over, it could be as soon as the end of the week, or maybe even today. Let us know who you think should be his next co-host, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Skip Bayless Claims Floyd Mayweather & John Gotti Brawl Was Staged

Skip Bayless is one of the greatest hot-take artists in the entire world. Overall, that is what he has made his entire career off of. Although not everyone is a fan of this, there are certainly those who love Bayless and what he brings to the table at times. Sure, he can be annoying, but he knows how to be provocative and entertaining. Unfortunately, the future of Undisputed is now in jeopardy as Shannon Sharpe is gearing up to leave the show. Only time will tell who the replacement will be.

As for last night, the NBA Finals were on an off-night, which meant Skip didn’t have much to watch. However, there was a fight going on between Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III. As you probably know by now, that fight was an absolute disaster for a plethora of reasons. Mostly, it was because of the in-ring brawl that took place after the referee had waved it off. The whole thing was a debacle, and Skip seems to have an interesting take on it all.

Skip Bayless Hot Take

“The Floyd-Gotti “brawl” after my man Kenny Bayless stopped the “fight” was obviously scripted and staged,” Skip Bayless explained. Overall, this is a pretty bold thing to say. This is especially true when you consider how Skip said this so matter-of-factly. However, this is most likely a hot take and opinion rather than a declarative statement. That said, the only people who know whether or not this was staged are Floyd’s team and Gotti’s team.

If this was, indeed, all staged, then it is easy to see why they would do it. Outside of this fight, very few people knew the fight was happening. Moreover, it seems to be dominating sports discourse this morning. Regardless, we will wait for Floyd Mayweather to comment on it all before going the Skip Bayless route with our commentary. Let us know what you think of Skip’s statement, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.
