Sexyy Red is coming out with a deluxe version of her 2023 album Hood Hottest Princess very soon, and fans couldn’t be more ready. Moreover, this goes for both people that just love her music and people that actually might get a chance to work with her much more often in the future. For example, Nicki Minaj and Drake recently cosigned the St. Louis MC’s next career move, albeit in small but still meaningful ways. The Trinidadian rapper simply tweeted “SEXY!!!” in response to this announcement, whereas the Toronto native liked Red’s post on Instagram concerning the project’s expansion.

Furthermore, in her caption, Sexyy Red actually hinted at many other artists being on this deluxe version. With another collab on the way, this time with Nardo Wick, it’s very possible that she will stack this tracklist with plenty of big names and moments. Of course, given this subtle but nonetheless excited response from Nicki Minaj and Drake, those are probably the two biggest names tat they want to make an appearance here. After all, when it comes to sheer star power and elevating a song to another level, few are as good and consistent with that as these Young Money superstars.

In this new teaser for the Hood Hottest Princess deluxe, she raps about wanting to “f**k [her] baby dad,” an unmistakeable and NSFW way of addressing her pregnancy. That hasn’t stopped Sexyy Red from continuing her tour across the U.S., which is quite commendable since a baby is literally forming inside her. The question, then, is whether this extended edition will come out during or after this trek or if there will be new shows to celebrate.

Meanwhile, it seems like the 25-year-old is just as excited for Nicki’s upcoming album, Pink Friday 2. Fans hope that she will be on the project, especially after she hinted at grabbing one of Minaj’s scrapped tracks for herself. It seems Sexyy Red is gearing up to add some new tracks to fans’ rotations, as she teased that there will be a deluxe version of her Hood Hottest Princess album. The teaser clip features audio of one of the songs, as she starts by saying, “F*ck my baby dad,” before telling listeners to “Look at them booty cheeks.”

She’s been remaining busy, as she is continuing to perform on her Hood Hottest Princess Tour, even after recently seemingly revealing that she was pregnant — which is likely tied to the lyrical reference in the forthcoming song.

Based on the new clip, fans are already obsessed and can’t wait to hear her new music.

Earlier today, Boosie Badazz’s lengthy interview on The Breakfast Club made its way online. He discussed a variety of subjects, including his frequent appearances on VladTV. The discussion began with the question of Boosie starting a podcast, which he said he could only do if it made him a lot of money. When Charlamagne clarified that the type of money he wants doesn’t really exist in podcast, Boosie clarified that he was covered through other means.

“Well, I don’t want it. Because, yeah, I could make a half a million with Vlad every year, man. I don’t really need it if it ain’t gon’… Vlad help me out a lot more,” Boosie elaborated. He appears on Vlad TV quite often and frequently comes with revelations in ongoing drama, or new drama entirely. Her nonchalant attitude has allowed her to work with some of the best in the industry. One of her most recent was her landing a feature on Drake’s For All The Dogs with the track “Rich Baby Daddy,” which also included SZA. She has also been photographed with Tyler, The Creator, Brent Faiyaz, and Travis Scott.

With all of these co-signs from the established names, she is now selling out shows already. Some artists have to build a brand for years. That has been the complete opposite for Red. While she has still worked hard to get to this point, the pace at which she got here is unreal. Not too long ago, she brought out another friend in the industry, GloRilla, for a show and fans went wild. This week, we’ve got Paramore‘s “Misery Business” video, with Uproxx cover stars Chloe Bailey and Coi Leray, Na-Kel Smith, NLE Choppa, Reason, Sexyy Red, and more giving their takes on the fashion and sounds of the 2000s — as well as sharing their stories about living through the song’s lyrical scenario.

Sexyy Red is performing a lot these days, but that exposure unfortunately resulted in a pretty contentious situation recently. Moreover, her security guard was carrying her offstage from a club performance when one of the venue’s own security guards grabbed her behind as she passed him by. Then, the rapper pointed him out to her guard, who presumably confronted the assailant about the inappropriate contact. Furthermore, this resulted in the two breaking out into a quick fight before they went to their respective corners. As of writing this article, it’s unclear whether this will result in any legal action, but it seems like it wrapped up relatively quickly.

Unfortunately for the St. Louis MC, her sexuality and artistic identity lead many to unrightfully criticize her- or take advantage of her, in this instance. For example, fans blasted her for posing for pictures with younger fans, despite the fact that she can’t control who connects with her music for whatever reason. Even with all these pressures, biases, and misogynistic treatment, Sexyy Red is brushing it all off as her career continues to climb. All we can hope for is that her security team continues to defend her in situations like these with the utmost urgency and respect.

Meanwhile, the “SkeeYee” hitmaker is making more connections in the rap world, finding more acceptance and respect by the day. One recent addition to this saga is when she compared herself to Boosie Badazz, and he actually ended up appreciating the shout-out. Sexyy Red clearly knows her stuff, and she understands what figures came before her in the hip-hop world that drew a similar amount of initial criticism, but ended up becoming important and influential figures. We got the first taste of the album with the lead single, “God Slippers.” While Gates did not announce the release date for the tape, we now have that information at our disposal. However, this could be tentative, as a great deal of artists like to relentlessly push back the date.

According to Genius, we can expect The Ceremony on December 1. In addition to that tidbit, it seems we have a tracklist as well. 17 songs are listed with just two features. Perhaps, that could change too, but for now, that is what we know. Ironically, Kevin has just dropped the song with those guests today. He has grabbed Sexyy Red and B.G. for the second single, “Yonce Freestyle.” This track comes in the wake of Gates teasing it on TikTok a couple of days ago. Fans were chomping at the bit for this to come to fruition and now its here.

As an expecting mother, many folks online are currently dragging Sexyy Red for her antics and her attitude in this preparatory phase of motherhood. Moreover, it’s taken off a bit of the heat that she used to get as an actual mother regarding her music’s content and her general presence as an artist. While that criticism is debatably simplistic, unsympathetic, and unfair, we can’t deny that the St. Louis MC doesn’t lean into ruffling those feathers often. In fact, we recently saw how this might’ve hilariously manifested in her son getting in some trouble over an inappropriate project at school. We say “might” because we don’t want to assume that the 25-year-old influenced her son to do this; it could’ve been anyone or anything.

Furthermore, she shared an interaction with a teacher that texted her about her son Kylan’s situation. “Please Meet With Me After School To Discuss Kylans Project Today In Class,” the teacher wrote to Sexyy Red along with pictures of the “project.” Apparently, the kids had to play with some Play-Doh, and Kylan used the brown and green clay to make… a rolled blunt. “Yes ma’am [facepalm emoji],” the “SkeeYee” rapper replied to her, who’s comically saved in her contacts as “Ms Big Booty.” But in her Twitter screenshot of the texts, she captioned it with “Chucky bad a**.”

Of course, this was a pretty funny revelation, and one that we’re sure the Hood Hottest Princess will run into more in her motherhood journey. Still, there are definitely some other headlines that she might want to have a talk with Kaylan about, and steer him in another direction. One of these is Sexyy Red’s current beef with Khia, which turned pretty nasty recently. It’s always hard to balance a career- especially a decidedly explicit one- with parenthood.

On one hand, we have Sexyy Red: one of a couple of femcees who dominated the game in 2023 and made a significant splash in what feels like record time. On the other, we have Young Thug: a pioneer of trap who is currently behind bars on RICO charges along with various other members of YSL. People already said that they look alike, but it took a little longer for these artists to acknowledge that Internet meme and, most importantly, feel proud of it.

“Free my mf twin,” Sexyy Red quote-tweeted a new picture of Young Thug in court that emerged recently. While some folks think that Thugger gained weight in prison due to this snap, Red is clearly more focused on continuing to highlight his struggles in the prison system. If not that, then at least she has sympathy for him based on their physical similarities. Of course, something else that fans pointed out is that the St. Louis MC’s loyalty to the Atlanta icon is welcome but a tad odd, since she wasn’t popping off back when he was last free.

In fact, now that it looks like the RICO trial will finally commence this month following a finalized jury selection process, support for Thug and YSL is more important than ever. It’s unclear as of press time whether the court found its final jurors, though, although they had a mission to reach a conclusion this week. Still, the trial’s expected start date remains at November 27, and if this pans out, it will be a massive development.

Furthermore, we’re sure that the rap community will be front and center to witness the RICO case with a lot of empathy and attention. Currently, Khia and Sexyy Red’s beef is taking centre stage, following a new video from the former that reads the latter to filth. “We the people vs. fugly, non-Sexyy knocked-up a** Red,” her lengthy rant aimed at the St. Louis native begins. “Your a** is being charged with not being ashamed of your God d**n self. Doing h*e s**t then being mad about it. Being a deadbeat mama, a deadbeat daddy, a deadbeat daughter, and a deadbeat Young Thug lookalike,” Khia went on.

The “My Neck, My Back” hitmaker then compared Red to a “wrinkled bedsheet” while labelling herself a queen. “Suckin’ on toes and balls at the same d**n time. Getting pissed and shi**ed on and tryna come for a real Queen,” Khia continued to list her opp’s various charges. “Tryna clap back with the Clap,” and “looking like some crust in a ni**as drawers” also made the list, along with the Philly native’s theories about Sexyy being unable to deliver her baby vaginally due to a history of STIs.
