Young Dolph’s Murder Trial: Security Footage Of The Shooting Revealed In Court

The three men charged with murder in the killing of Young Dolph, named Hernandez Govan, Justin Johnson, and Cornelius Smith, all began their trial on Monday morning. In court, attorneys revealed security footage from the infamous shooting that left the beloved Memphis rapper dead at the age of 26. In the clip, Dolph stops into Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies as a group of gunmen arrive to ambush him from behind.

During the opening statements, Shelby County Assistant District Attorney Paul Hagerman accused the late Big Jook of putting out a $100,000 hit on Dolph. “Big Jook, the person I told you about before, the number two guy at CMG, he’s put out a hit, a hit, $100,000 to whoever kills Dolph,” Hagerman said, as caught by Fox 13′s Jeremy Pierre. “He has met with Justin (Johnson). He has met with Cornelius (Smith) and they think they’re ready to do it.” In addition to the money, Hagerman also claimed Justin Johnson was motivated to become the next big artist for Yo Gotti’s record label, CMG.

Ahead of the trial, Dolph’s family put out a statement addressing the upcoming legal drama. “As the trial approaches on Monday, September 23, 2024, for those accused in the tragic death of Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., known to millions as Young Dolph, his family wishes to express their hope for justice. We remain heartbroken over the loss of Adolph, and we have faith that the legal system will bring justice to all of those involved in this crime. This has been an unimaginable time for our family, but the love and support of the community has given us strength as we continue to process this situation,” they wrote. From there, they asked for privacy as they continue to watch the legal process unfold.

Foolio Shooting: High-Quality Surveillance Footage Leaves DJ Akademiks Stunned

DJ Akademiks was left in awe while reacting to the security camera footage captured during the shooting of Foolio, last month. The release of the video comes after police announced three arrests in the case on Monday. They include Sean Gathright, 18, Alicia Andrews, 21, and Isaiah Chance Jr., 21. They’ve been charged with premeditated first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Two other suspects have warrants out for their arrest.

“They got the clearest Surveillance footage I’ve ever seen in Foolio case,” Akademiks wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday afternoon. “N****s this aint even 4K.. n***a this 16K… I watched movies in iMAX that didn’t have this quality. n***a im seeing the bullets leave each gun. I’m seeing their heart beat through their shirt. Crazy.” Fans echoed his feeling on social media as well. “lmaoooo technology has done so much in our world, so many murder cases would have gone unsolved,” one user responded. Another remarked: “Bro one of them camera angles they got it HAD to be a cameraman present cause ain’t NO way.”

Police Release Footage Of The Foolio Shooting

Foolio was shot and killed on June 23 while celebrating his 26th birthday in Tampa, Florida. He had been staying at an Airbnb but was kicked out due to exceeding occupancy limits. He traveled to a nearby Holiday Inn in an attempt to get a room there but was ambushed. Foolio had updated fans on his plans and whereabouts several times on social media prior to the attack.

Foolio’s lawyer, Lewis Fusco, reflected on the rapper’s passing in an emotional statement on his Instagram Story shortly after the incident. “While most people knew him as the controversial rapper and entertainer, I was fortunate enough to know Charles Jones, the man beyond the public persona,” Fusco wrote. “He was a kid who grew up in challenging circumstances, determined to defy the odds by any means possible and succeed in all that he did. It’s no secret that Diddy’s been subject to a tremendous amount of scrutiny since his ex-girlfriend sued him last year, accusing him of rape, abuse, and more. They settled shortly after she filed, though he was later hit with several similar lawsuits from other women. Things reached a new height in May when CNN obtained footage of the mogul physically assaulting Cassie at a hotel back in 2016. He’s since apologized, which didn’t do much to save his reputation. The footage corroborated some of the allegations Cassie made against Diddy and was enough to prompt explosive reactions from countless social media users and peers.

During a recent interview with VladTV, Boosie Badazz shared his take on the debacle, questioning why more of Diddy’s friends aren’t supporting him at this point. According to him, it’s likely that his friends knew of the alleged abuse long before the footage went public.

“I feel like his friends, they knew all along,” Boosie said. He went on to explain that he was raised to stand by his friends no matter what, and to stay out of others’ business despite how serious it may be. “How I was raised, if you beat your b***h that’s your problem,” he described. “It never made me say ‘You’re not my friend anymore.’ That’s what I stand on. I always stand on wrong or wrong right or right, you’re my friend. And I probably was raised a f*cked up way.” He continued, agreeing with DJ Vlad’s claim that compartmentalizes his relationships.

50 Cent Reacts To Diddy Allegedly Assaulting Cassie In Security Footage

Today (May 17), CNN exclusively obtained some disturbing 2016 security footage of Diddy allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. In the footage, she’s seen waiting for an elevator in a hotel hallway, when Diddy runs out of his room in a towel. He then comes from behind her, pulling her to the ground and kicking her twice before attempting to drag her back to the room. Diddy is also later seen throwing what appears to be a glass vase at the singer. He has yet to address the newly surfaced footage.

Cassie’s lawyer, however, Douglas Wigdor issued a response via email. “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” he wrote. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

Lil Boom Security Footage Surfaces After He Was Accused Of Groping Children

Earlier this week, a resurfaced Facebook post from a Florida police department started making its rounds online. The post, which featured a photo of Lil Boom, asked users to help identify him, accusing the artist of inappropriately touching minors in a Walmart. Allegedly, he was caught “touching the backside of multiple people including children.”

As the news spread, Lil Boom took to Instagram to defend himself, arguing that if he had done such a thing it would have been documented. “I fell off already bub u shoulda tried to cap on me in like 2018,” he wrote. “This is so cap n***a if this was true i’d be on a f*cking registry.” Now, however, security footage from the alleged incident has surfaced.

Lil Boom Deactivates, Reactivates IG Amid Allegations

In the footage, Lil Boom allegedly comes up behind an individual shopping and seemingly brushes up against them. The individual’s identity and age have not been disclosed. It was reported that Lil Boom deactivated his Instagram account after the footage surfaced. It now appears to have been reactivated. He recently shared photos from a sushi restaurant, as well as another Story declaring that he’s “not going anywhere.”

While countless commenters weigh in on the disturbing allegations, one person who has come to Lil Boom’s defense is his girlfriend. In the comments of one of No Jumper‘s IG posts, she insisted that he simply irritated another shopper, which caused her to fire back. “Racist white lady got mad at him cause he shoved himself thru to get by, then she lied on his name on sexual assault,” she alleged. “They rewatched footage and dropped the case.
