Diddy’s Legal Team Addresses Bombshell Rolling Stone Allegations

Diddy’s lawyer, Jonathan Davis, has responded to the new allegations brought up in Rolling Stone’s bombshell investigation into the Bad Boy mogul. In the piece, the outlet reports that Diddy allegedly once assaulted his college girlfriend at Howard University. In a statement Davis provided to the outlet after they reached out for comment, he implied the sourcing was “unreliable.”

“Mr. Combs cannot comment on settled litigation, will not comment on pending litigation, and cannot address every allegation picked up by the press from any source, no matter how unreliable,” Davis told the outlet. “We are aware that the proper authorities are conducting a thorough investigation and therefore have confidence any important issues will be addressed in the proper forum, where the rules distinguish facts from fiction.”

At one point in the Rolling Stone piece, the outlet cites a friend of Diddy’s college girlfriend who recalled a particularly disturbing incident. They claimed that Diddy showed up “belligerent” outside of their dorm and “screamed and hollered and acted a stone fool until she [the girlfriend] came downstairs.” Once she did, the classmate claims Diddy used a belt to hit her “all over the place” and was “screaming at the top of his lungs.” The outlet sourced multiple alleged witnesses of the incident. Another Howard alumni remarked that they aren’t surprised by Diddy’s legacy ending in “disgrace,” as the outlet puts it. “None of this was really a surprise for me,” they said. “You’re already an abuser [in college]. You were already feeling you had to have certain power over people.”

Rolling Stone Expose Details An Alleged Diddy Assault At A College

Diddy’s reputation as a dangerous and destructive individual has been well-established over the past eight months. The Bad Boy founder has been publicly disgraced in the form of lawsuits and a video in which he assaults his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. More lawsuits are surfacing on a weekly basis, and 50 Cent recently sold a documentary series about the mogul’s alleged crimes to Netflix. Rolling Stone magazine is the latest outlet to peel back the curtain on the Diddy story.

The outlet published a detailed expose of the business titan on May 28. The expose detailed his rise to fame, his subsequent relationship with Cassie, and the current state of his career. It recapped several of the lawsuits that have already been made public, but it also delved into an alleged assault that had been previously unreported. The alleged assault dates back to the 1990s, when Diddy was a college student at Howard University. Rolling Stone collected testimony from three different witnesses who claim that the future rapper would repeatedly attempt to get a student he was dating to ditch class, and the times she refused, he would become angry and make a scene.

“He screamed and hollered and acted a stone fool until she came downstairs,” one student recalled. Another source claimed that Diddy used a belt to repeatedly strike the woman in question. “She was trying to defend herself a little bit,” another witness stated. “She was crying. And we were telling him, ‘Get off of her.’ We were screaming for her.” The same witness summarized the incident, plainly and sadly: “[Puff] whupped her butt — like really whupped her butt.” The alleged victim declined to speak with Rolling Stone.

The expose posits this instance as the first in what would become a pattern for Diddy. A student who knew both Diddy and the unnamed victim recalled tension whenever the former was around. “She would tense up [when Combs appeared],” they recalled. “He just had a weird control thing. I felt like she was fearful.” The widespread belief that Diddy’s public apology was insincere stems from the sheer number of times he’s been accused of assault. Cassie’s former makeup artist, Mylah Morales, dismissed the apology out of hand. “If was apologetic about it, he would mention [Cassie’s] name, but he didn’t,” she told Extra TV. “That’s what I don’t understand… Just a PR stunt.”

Kid Rock Pulls Out A Gun, Says The N-Word During Wild “Rolling Stone” Interview

Kid Rock brandished a gun during a new profile with Rolling Stone reporter David Peisner, who claims the conservative rockstar also said the n-word at multiple points. The outlet published the piece on Monday afternoon, detailing a visit to Rock’s home outside of Nashville. The conversation often turned to Rock’s views on politics.

“And I got a f*cking goddamn gun right here if I need it!” he shouted at one point. “I got them everywhere!” From there, Peisner quotes Rock as saying the n-word multiple times during a conversation about rap music. Afterward, he reveals that it wasn’t the only time Rock used the slur during the visit. Of those instances, Peisner wrote: “It’d be easy to label this as the rantings of a drunk racist, but as with everything that Ritchie does, it’s hard to know how calculated it all is. Is he just trying to get a reaction? Is he begging to be pilloried when this story comes out so he can launch into a very public tirade against ‘cancel culture?’ Is this all just a play for more attention? Would any of that make it less sh*tty?”

Rock also discusses his prior beef with Bud Light and says he’s back to drinking the beer. “We’ve got bigger targets,” he said, bringing up Planet Fitness and Ben & Jerry’s. “I don’t want to hurt people’s jobs and stuff like that when they don’t have any dog in the fight, but there’s a whole lot of other companies we should be going after.” He also suggests listening to the national anthem will make “liberal tears fall like rain.”

Cardi B Seemingly Reaffirms Her Commitment To Offset

It’s been a busy week for Cardi B fans trying to unpack all the news surrounding her personal life and musical output. First she shared and then later deleted a tweet that made it seem like she wouldn’t be dropping her new album in 2024 after all. That was eventually contradicted by her own label when they tweeted in response to her Rolling Stone cover story. Their response specifically called her upcoming album as one of the best of this year. The response, alongside Cardi deleting her original tweet, seems like good news for fans looking forward to her first new album in 6 years.

Fans trying to dissect Cardi’s personal life are having a similar back-and-forth. Late last year she and husband Offset seemingly had a rocky few months. Cardi even described herself as “single” at one point before the pair reunited for Christmas. They’ve appeared together multiple times since despite continued rumors of infidelity rocking the couple. But in her new Rolling Stone interview she may have re-affirmed her commitment to her husband. “It’s not even about love, we’re best friends. And it’s like, ‘OK. Well, there was a time that I didn’t have a best friend, or I didn’t have a support system.’ It’s not even about ‘How do you leave a partner?’ How do you stop talking to your best friend?” she says in the cover story. Check out the full interview she gave below.

Cardi B Recalls Harsh Criticism Making Her Cry: “It’s Very Hurtful”

It goes without saying that hearing unfiltered feedback on one’s work is enough to ruin anyone’s day. According to Cardi B, she’s no exception. During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the femcee opened up about the negative impact harsh criticism has had on her, particularly as it pertains to the release of her upcoming sophomore album. The “Enough” performer revealed that a recent TikTok even made her emotional, as she was accused of not taking her career seriously. She says that this is a serious mischaracterization. Cardi claims that the real reason she hesitates to put new material out is that she cares too much.

“Like yesterday, I was scrolling through TikTok and a b*tch made me cry,” she told the outlet. “She was just like, ‘She has got to give it up. She’s better off being an influencer. You was cosplaying being a rapper. Because you don’t take it seriously. That’s why you don’t put out your music.’”

Cardi B Takes Her Work “So F*cking Seriously”

“It’s like, I take my music so f*cking seriously that that’s why I don’t put it out,” she explained. “Because if it’s not perfect to my ear, if every f*cking word doesn’t sound like it’s pronounced right, if the beat is overpowering the words or the words is overpowering the beat, I don’t want to put it out.”

“When you give so much and somebody just drags it down, like you’re just playing with your p*ssy all day, just watching Netflix all f*cking day long, it’s very hurtful,” she also added. Cardi went on to shut down claims that she’s only pursuing music for money, arguing that she wouldn’t turn down shows if that was the case. What do you think of Cardi B revealing how harsh criticism ahead of her new album has impacted her? Are you surprised? Cardi B Claims She’s The Reason Record Labels Are Signing Female Rappers

There’s been a flurry of new Cardi B news this week as fans are having their expectations of a new album dragged back and forth. That started when Cardi took to twitter to claim that her long-awaited second studio effort wouldn’t actually come out this year. It’s been 6 years since her debut Invasion Of Privacy dropped back in 2018. Fans were hoping that the release of two singles earlier this year, “Like What (Freestyle)” and “Enough (Miami),” would lead to the release of the highly-anticipated follow-up.

But after Cardi claimed on Twitter that she was taking the time to relax instead of releasing a new album those hopes seemed dashed. The first good news for fans came when she deleted the tweet where she makes the claim, seemingly hinting that it may not be true after all. Even better news came earlier today when Atlantic Records tweeted in response to the new Rolling Stone story. They claimed that there was very much still a new Cardi album dropping this year, seemingly contradicting her now-deleted tweet. News on the potential release of new music is currently as imprecise as it’s ever been, but that hasn’t stopped fans from unpacking the details of her new cover story. Check out one of the most attention-grabbing claims she makes below.

Cardi B Takes Credit For Influx Of Female Rappers

In one particular moment of the interview, Cardi makes a bold claim about her influencing labels to sign female rappers. “People from every single label have f*cking told me this sh*t in my face. THey started signing new female rappers after I got signed,” she claims. Elsewhere in the interview she also claimed that she’s skipping voting in the next American elections as she doesn’t like either candidate.

What do you think of Cardi B claiming that she inspired labels to sign more female artists in the wake of her successful debut album? Do you agree with her that she’s the reason for the influx of new female rappers? Let us know in the comment section below.

Cardi B Stuns On The Cover Of Rolling Stone Amid Fan Calls For A New Album

Cardi B has already dropped two new singles this year and fans are hoping that isn’t it for the rapper. She’s taken an extended absence from new studio albums since her 2018 debut Invasion Of Privacy. While she’s released a number of singles in that time like “WAP” and “Up” fans have continued to call for a long-awaited sophomore effort. Cardi has discussed the album quite a bit and even teased it repeatedly to her fans. But she also continues to pop up all over the place even as fans call for her to hone in on a new record.

The most recent place is the cover of Rolling Stone where she did a new photoshoot and cover story. Fans didn’t exactly take kindly to the title “The Nonstop Hustle Of Cardi B” given how long its been since her last studio album. In the pictures she shared rom the photoshoot she sports a trio of looks showing off her range of style. In the interview itself, she discusses everything from her surprisingly large workload behind-the-scenes and even how she plans to vote in the upcoming American election. Much to the dismay of fans though, she doesn’t reveal any information about a new studio album. Check out the cover of her upcoming issue below.

Cardi B On The Cover Of Rolling Stone

Cardi made and then deleted a tweet earlier this week that may have implied fans will need to wait even longer than originally anticipated for new music. In a response to a tweet about her deserving a break from social media, Cardi claimed that there wouldn’t be a new album in 2024 so she can take the time to relax. Fans are hoping that her deleting the tweet means there could be a new record after all.

Billie Eilish Details Coming To Terms With Her Sexuality: “I Realized I Wanted My Face In A Vagina”

Billie Eilish spoke at length about her sexuality during a new interview with Rolling Stone, admitting several details about her masturbation habits and her journey to discovering her attraction to women. The conversation arose when Eilish admitted sex is one of the primary ways she decompresses.

“I basically talk about sex any time I possibly can,” she explained. “That’s literally my favorite topic.” From there, she complained about how the expression of feminine sexuality can be a frowned-upon topic in society. Getting more candid, she added that “self-pleasure is an enormous, enormous part of my life,” and revealed it has helped her overcome body image issues. “I should have a Ph.D. in masturbation,” she joked.

Eilish also discussed the sensual track, “Lunch,” from her upcoming album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. “That song was actually part of what helped me become who I am, to be real,” Eilish said. “I wrote some of it before even doing anything with a girl, and then wrote the rest after. I’ve been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn’t understand — until, last year, I realized I wanted my face in a vagina. I was never planning on talking about my sexuality ever, in a million years. It’s really frustrating to me that it came up.”

Eilish previously revealed her attraction to women during an interview with Variety, last fall, but later admitted she didn’t intend to do so. In turn, she complained about the outlet outing her in a post on Instagram afterward. These days, she regrets the post and admits she overreacted. “Who f*cking cares?” she said. “The whole world suddenly decided who I was, and I didn’t get to say anything or control any of it. Nobody should be pressured into being one thing or the other, and I think that there’s a lot of wanting labels all over the place. Dude, I’ve known people that don’t know their sexuality, or feel comfortable with it, until they’re in their forties, fifties, sixties. It takes a while to find yourself, and I think it’s really unfair, the way that the internet bullies you into talking about who you are and what you are.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Billie Eilish on HotNewHipHop.

Usher’s “Confessions Pt. II” Named Best R&B Song Of All Time By “Rolling Stone”

Rolling Stone recently dropped their list of the “100 Greatest R&B Songs of the 21st Century,” featuring tracks by Beyonce, Frank Ocean, Mariah Carey, and more. Ranking in No. 1 is Usher, with his 2004 Confessions banger, “Confessions Pt. II.” The decision, of course, has social media users split. Some argue that it’s not the best R&B song, or even the best Usher song, while others think the publication was spot on.

“The entire album to be exact!” one social media user writes. “I don’t agree but I’m not mad at this either…. if that makes sense,” another says. The publication cites Usher’s vocal performance, the track’s “emotional depth,” and more in their explanation. Usher has yet to speak on the honor, simply sharing a screenshot of the news on his Instagram Story today.

Usher Reigns Supreme

Usher had quite the year in 2023, making headlines for his Vegas My Way residency, and putting even the strongest of celebrity couples to the test. Back in September, it was also announced that he’ll be headlining the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show. An undertaking reserved for only the most iconic performers, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Prince, and more have taken it on in the past. Usher calls it the “honor of a lifetime.”

Rihanna was even recently asked if she had any tips for the hitmaker as February approaches. According to her, however, he’s in no need of advice. “Usher is a natural, he’s a legend, he’s been doing this since he was a teenager,” she told E! News. “He is made for that show.” Usher appears to be up for the task, and confident that he’ll pull off an unforgettable performance. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” he told supporters in a statement. Chaka Khan Speaks On Retirement, Shades “B***hes” Who Do It “Three Or Four Times”

Chaka Khan recently gave Rolling Stone a lengthy and illuminating interview centered around her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Moreover, she obviously has an indelible legacy in music, art, and culture, and a lot to reflect on as her trajectory continues forward in life. The funk legend still performs and is active in the music space, although she definitely considerers an exit every now and then. However, when asked whether she’d ever retire in this new conversation, she gave a surprisingly shady answer that might target other singers in her immediate genre or era circle. Either that, or it’s a comical jab at current artists “fake retiring” these days instead of older acts stretching out their relevance.

“Well, I might do that three or four times, like other b***hes do,” Chaka Khan responded to the question of whether she’ll ever fully give up performing. She explained that she doesn’t want to tour anymore but will keep doing shows, as she wants to shift gears to spending time with her grandchildren and other personal matters. Still, the Chicago native didn’t have to blast other artist to relay this info. Previously, she had dissed Mariah Carey, Adele, and Mary J. Blige for their talents.

Chaka Khan’s Shady Thoughts On Retirement

“Recently, I [talked] about a list of the ‘greatest singers of all time,’” Chaka Khan expressed in her apology for these remarks on Instagram. “Instead of questioning the need for such a list, I was pitted against other artists and I took the bait. As artists, we are unfairly put into ‘boxes’, ‘categories’ or on ‘lists.’ Being an artist or musician is not a competition. It’s a gift, for which I am truly grateful. It was not my intention to cause pain or upset anyone. To anyone that felt this way, I sincerely apologize.”

Meanwhile, another apology of sorts came when the 70-year-old spoke of her bond with fellow Chicago artist, Kanye West. She took issue with his sample of her song on “Through The Wire,” but during this interview, she called it a “silly grudge.” We’ll see what other hot takes and perspectives Chaka Khan comes through with about the music industry.
