Not Even Rihanna’s Dancers Knew She Was Pregnant Ahead Of Her Super Bowl Performance

During her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, Rihanna shocked the world with the reveal of her second pregnancy. It wasn’t just Super Bowl attendees and viewers at home who were caught by surprise, though; not even her fleet of dancers knew what was up before the big game.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, two of her dancers, Laila Hayes and Luhnyae Campbell, said that the cold weather during rehearsals allowed Rihanna to hide her baby bump. In fact, because they were too busy absolutely nailing their elaborate choreography, they didn’t even see it until they watched the televised replay later.

Hayes said, “We were all confused watching it during the real thing when she went up there and was showing her stomach. She wore the same outfit for one of the dress rehearsals but it was zippered up.” Cambell echoed, “I never saw a bump. Not even the day of. I had to rewatch the performance on YouTube to realize.”

The Loewe coat Rihanna wore onto the field — a nod to André Leon Talley — was large enough to cover up, but at the start of the performance, she opened it to reveal the custom molded breastplate that hugged her belly. Fans were left to speculate — and crack jokes — until a representative confirmed the pregnancy just a few minutes after the performance.

Rihanna Claps Back After Calling Her Son “Fine”

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are on pace to welcome baby #2 but only this week have they given fans a real glimpse at their firstborn. The couple welcomed their first child in May 2022, though they tried to keep the news under wraps. Rih and Rocky only confirmed the news days later. As should be expected, the paparazzi have been all over the couple trying to get the first glimpse of their son. Finally, Rihanna handled the big reveal through the launch of a TikTok page before the paps had a chance to ruin the moment.

Still, Rihanna and Rocky have been quite protective of their newborn as a celebrity couple. During a recent interview with British Vogue, Rihanna explained that she never wanted to introduce her son to the world through the tabloids. “We get to decide as parents when and how we do that. End of story,” she wrote. “We’ve been protecting him thus far and you don’t have any consent to be posting photos or selling photos of my child, a minor. Get the hell out of here with that.”

Rihanna Faces Backlash For Calling Her Son “Fine”

The cover story included photos of Rihanna, her son, and A$AP Rocky as a family, and it certainly had people talking. Some of the photos showed Rocky holding the baby as Rihanna held his hand and walked in front of him. Then, she shared a photo of herself leaning next to her son on a bed. “My son so fine! Idc idc idc!” she captioned the photo, which many fans felt was an odd way to describe her son.

As expected the criticism piled on in her comment section. Plenty of people criticized her for calling her son “fine, including one commenter, who asked, “Who calls a baby fine?” to which Rihanna responded, “his mother!” However, the best clap back came after a fan stated that her son “is not a grown man.” Rihanna shut them down completely, writing, “you just keep you lil cougar paws away from him and we good!” Rihanna isn’t playing any games when it comes to her son. Rihanna on First Days of Motherhood: ‘You’re a Zombie for the Most Part'

Rihanna has hit the pages of British Vogue, and she killed every single one of those pictures. Fresh off her Super Bowl performance, Rihanna’s story highlights what her journey into motherhood is like, summarizing it as a “headf**k.”

“You don’t sleep. At all,” Rihanna said. “Not even if you wanted to.”

She added, “Man, you’re a zombie for the most part. You’re just going through the motions, and even then you’re so paranoid.”

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have yet to reveal their son’s name. He was born in May 2022, and the delivery was an intimate affair.

“It was just us as parents and our baby,” Rihanna said.. “You’re like, ‘They trusted us to come home with this baby? This new life? With us? No doctors, no nurses, we’re just … going home?’”

Rihanna didn’t know that she was pregnant again during the interview, but she mentioned she was open to more children.

During her epic Super Bowl performance. A presumed baby bump poked through Rihanna’s red jumpsuit as she performed classics like “Umbrella,” “Diamonds,” and more. Many fans wondered if this was a baby reveal. Indeed it is.

A rep for Rihanna confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that she is pregnant. Speaking with NFL Network analyst Nate Burleson, Rihanna teased a surprise appearance during her performance. That appearance was her new baby.

This week social media let loose on Olivia Wilde after she appeared to shoot her shot at singer Rihanna’s baby daddy. Olivia shared a picture of rapper A$AP rooting for Rihanna at the Super Bowl saying ‘If I thought he was hot before, this really put me over the edge’.

The actress recently made headlines for leaving her own baby daddy, actor Jason Sudeikis, and their children for a short lived fling with her ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ co-star Harry Styles. Olivia is in her own mess as her former nanny Ericka Genaro, claims she suffered severe anxiety and stress. The nanny claims Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis’s tumultuous 2020 breakup forced her to “pick sides,” and when she asked for a three-day leave of absence for her mental health, was abruptly fired.

This Sunday, the House star stirred up more drama after posting Riri’s man with the suspicious caption. Following a verbal assault from the Rihanna Navy, Olivia decided to clear her name and retract her statement.

In a repost on her Instagram stories Olivia says she was turned on by A$AP respecting his partner.

Rihanna And Hoobastank Once Collaborated, But The Band Released The Rihanna-Free Version Of The Song Instead

The mid-2000s were a different time. Hoobastank had a hit in 2003 with “The Reason,” and the band would follow The Reason the album by getting to work on Every Man For Himself, which came out in 2006. Around this same time, Rihanna was on her way to becoming a star, as her 2005 debut single “Pon De Replay” was a major success. Believe it or not, in this era, Hoobastank and Rihanna’s paths crossed when the two collaborated.

After Rihanna’s recent Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, Hoobastank singer Doug Robb tweeted, “True story. There is a version of a @Hoobastank song featuring @rihanna when she was a ‘newer’ artist. Displaying a total lack of foresight, we didn’t use that version of the song for the album. We also didn’t think The Reason was a single though either so… Oops.”

Robb later expanded on that story, telling Consequence:

“Back when we were recording our third album, Every Man For Himself, we were approached by someone at our label, Island Def Jam, about potentially featuring a ‘new artist’ on one of the songs. This kind of stuff happens all the time. We said, ‘Sure. Who do you have in mind?’ It was Rihanna. I had never heard of her. I don’t think anyone else in the band had, either, at the time.

We gave her camp a song called ‘Inside Of You.’ I think they rearranged some of the music to create a pre-chorus section, that wasn’t originally part of the arrangement, for her to sing a small part on. We heard it and didn’t really love it so we passed on using it. It’s really just that simple. I think we had already gotten used to hearing the song as it was written so it just felt weird to us. […]

I think if we had done a proper collaboration with her, writing the song knowing there was gonna be another artist on it and making space for it, we probably would have felt differently and used it. I think the way we did it was just wrong. The paint had already dried so to speak. Well, it was that, plus a stunning lack of vision to see what a star Rihanna was going to be. […]

We’d run into her at various award shows after and she was always very sweet and super cool. I think everything worked out ok for her in the end. [crying laughing emoji].”

As Robb famously sang on “The Reason,” “I’m not a perfect person / There’s many things I wish I didn’t do.” For example: turn down a Rihanna collab.

Timbaland Says That People Aren’t Ready For A Kanye West Super Bowl Halftime Show

timb ye

Shortly after Rihanna took the stage for the Super Bowl LVII halftime show, Timbaland shared with his fans what he thinks a Kanye West SB halftime show would be like. While this certainly isn’t going to happen anytime soon, Timb said that people wouldn’t be ready for the spectacle Kanye would bring.

Timb shared his thoughts on Instagram on Tuesday, Feb 14. In the video, he said that Ye performing at the Super Bowl could be the equivalent to Motown 25, the televised 25th-anniversary celebration special of Motown Records which featured artists such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, The Temptations, and where Michael Jackson debuted the moonwalk during his performance of Billie Jean.

“Yo, I was thinking, if Kanye was to do the Super Bowl, that almost would be like watching Motown 25 ’cause that boy is serious. Don’t you ever forget it,” Timb said. “Dat boy Ye doing the Super Bowl they wouldn’t be ready,” he captioned the post.

While some in the comments agreed that Kanye would probably have the greatest performance next to Prince, others said that having Ye on stage live for the whole county to see would be a safety hazard given his history of saying ridiculous and controversial things.

Despite his cancellation, Rihanna performed a few songs which feature Kanye, including Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” and “Diamonds” which feature Ye on the official remix. She also performed “Bitch Better Have My Money,” which was co-produced with Kanye, and “All Of The Lights,” which is a Kanye song featured on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Many fans on the internet even likened some of her stage designs and outfits to that of Kanye as well.

Fashion Icon Rihanna Called Dressing For Pregnancy A ‘Piece Of Cake’ But ‘Didn’t Know What To Put On’ After Giving Birth

Rihanna is on the new cover of British Vogue alongside her partner, ASAP Rocky, and their first child. Throughout the story, she touches on everything from the long-awaited ninth album to her decision about finally headlining the Super Bowl halftime show.

Given the nature of the cover photoshoot and her newly-revealed second pregnancy that she debuted during her performance, Rihanna also spoke about her pregnancy. Particularly, about how she planned her outfits for it — and the struggles afterwards.

For those who remember, her and Rocky revealed the first pregnancy news with a fashion-forward photoshoot last January. She wore a pink puffer jacket that was unbuttoned and a ton of fancy jewels on a necklace.

“Dressing for pregnancy was such a piece of cake,” Rihanna said. “But dressing in postpartum, what the f*ck do you do? The week that I came home from the hospital — that was nothing but sweats and hoodies. But the weeks after that, you don’t know what to put on. Everything is too small or too big. You kind of just gotta wait it out otherwise you end up buying so many clothes you’re not going to use. Well, unless you get pregnant again.”

And, given that this cover story was conducted and written before Rihanna’s official new baby announcement, it seems this was just another teaser.
