Dungeon Family Reunion: Outkast, Killer Mike, Goodie Mob & More Host Cookout For Rico Wade

The Dungeon Family is still celebrating the life of the late Rico Wade, who was the heart and soul of the Atlanta collective that not only helped produce some of their (and other artists’) biggest hits, but played a key role in bringing everyone together. André 3000 and Big Boi reunited as Outkast alongside Killer Mike, Goodie Mob, Sleepy Brown, Wade’s mother, and many more Dungeon dwellers at a cookout over the weekend to honor the producer’s impact and memory. They all posed for pictures in front of Rico’s Atlanta family home, the basement of which became the titular “Dungeon”-like recording studio where the Family connected. “The Dungeon had a picnic today. Everybody came home: OutKast, Dre and Big, Goodie, [Mr.] DJ,” Big Gipp remarked in an Instagram video at the event.

Furthermore, this continues the tributes to Rico Wade following his tragic passing at the age of 52 earlier this year due to heart complications. “This is a different type of hurt ….” Big Boi wrote on IG upon hearing the news, attaching his message to a clip of him talking about Wade’s role in Outkast’s rise. “Slick Ricky Wade .. I know you’re with us STILL … in a bigger role now… Big Angel Energy… the Highest of Vibrations … Praise Yah.”

The Dungeon Family Reunites Outside Of Rico Wade’s Home

“I don’t have the words to express my deep and profound sense of loss,” Killer Mike penned to Rico Wade via the social media platform back in April. “I am Praying for your wife and Children, I am praying for the Wade family, I am praying for us all, I deeply appreciate your acceptance into The Dungeon Family, mentorship, Friendship and Brotherhood. Idk where I would be without ya’ll. This is a part of the journey. You told me ‘It ain’t been hard throughout the journey, it’s been a Journey.’ The journey ain’t gonna be the Same Journey without U. Like U say tho Umma ‘Stay Down on it’……we all are.”

More Pictures & Clips From The Cookout

Meanwhile, this is what Rico Wade himself had to say about the Dungeon Family weeks before his passing. “They all love and respect me,” he remarked of their supportive role during his health scare. “They all look at me as a person that did it for them, especially after what I just went through. I’ve spoken to every last one of them, and it’s been like, ‘I want to hug you and I want to let you know how important you are to us. I’m glad you’re still here.’ I hate for it to take a life-altering situation, but even Future, that’s my cousin, he’s been so busy. But if I text him now, he texts me right back.”

Chris Brown & Nia Guzman Reunite To Celebrate Their Daughter’s 10th Birthday

Nia Guzman just posted some snaps from her daughter Royalty’s tenth birthday with a familiar face that her followers hadn’t seen alongside her in a while. Her former partner (and Royalty’s father) Chris Brown was also there to celebrate, and it seems like they had a very wholesome, heartening, and fun time. Moreover, fans might recall the often messy history of the former couple, as their fling allegedly happened while he was still with Guzman’s friend, Karrueche Tran. Regardless of how fans see the relationship now and what dynamic there is, this is yet another sign of proof that the kids can bring animosity or tension to at least a pause.

Furthermore, this is a much more positive development for Chris Brown’s 2024 compared to what the rest of the year has held for him. One of the biggest stories so far was his beef with Quavo, which roped in fellow rapper Saweetie and elicited a potential response from her, as well. Maybe there will be less combative energy for the next few months, but not everything involving this feud ended up being so negative. After all, some folks thought that Breezy came through with the better diss track compared to the former Migo, and rap beef praise carries heavy weight.

Chris Brown & Nia Guzman At Their Daughter’s Birthday

Elsewhere, Chris Brown’s name came up in Uncle Luke’s assessment of 2024’s most massive rap beef so far: Drake versus Kendrick Lamar. “Kendrick ain’t gonna stop until he win one round,” Luke expressed on social media. “He’s not gonna stop. He gonna stay in the studio all night… But I’m telling you that Drake. Drake is like undefeated. Drake been doing it for a minute. He be bodying people, man. He ain’t running from no smoke… It’s gonna take some Chris Brown or something. Drake versus Chris Brown.”

Of course, considering how that battle ended, this commentary didn’t age super well. Regardless, we’re sure that Chris Brown would much rather be referenced in relation to Drake and Kendrick Lamar than to Diddy’s current legal reckoning. But alas, folks will make those connections where they may. At the very least, he’s having a much better time at his daughter’s birthday and balanced out the attention with some wholesomeness.

Juvenile Announces Hot Boys Reunion: What We Know

In a major announcement that has thrilled fans of southern rap, Juvenile revealed that the iconic group Hot Boys is reuniting. The reunion will kick off with a performance at the upcoming Essence Fest in July, marking their first performance together in years. This news comes on the heels of group member B.G.’s release from federal prison, reigniting the possibility of a long-awaited comeback.

The Legacy Of The Hot Boys

Formed in the late 1990s, the Hot Boys are one of the most influential rap groups to emerge from the South. Comprising Juvenile, Lil Wayne, B.G., and Turk, the group debuted with their album Get It How U Live! in 1997. Their second album, Guerilla Warfare, released in 1999, solidified their place in hip-hop history, debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning a platinum certification. The album produced hit singles like “We On Fire” and “I Need a Hot Girl,” which remain staples in the genre.

Despite their success as a group, the Hot Boys also achieved significant milestones as solo artists. Juvenile’s 1998 solo album 400 Degreez was a commercial breakthrough, selling over four million copies and featuring the hit single “Back That Azz Up.” Lil Wayne, who started his career with the group, has become one of the most successful rappers of all time, with numerous awards and chart-topping albums. B.G. and Turk also carved out their niches, contributing to the group’s overall legacy.

The Road To Reunion

The possibility of a Hot Boys reunion has been a topic of discussion for years, but it gained momentum following B.G.’s release from federal prison in September 2023. The rapper quickly took to social media to rally his former group members, urging them to seize the opportunity for a lucrative comeback. “Say Juve, there’s people on my line, man, about this Hot Boys reunion,” B.G. said on Instagram Live in September 2024. “Weezy, stop playing, man. It’s a big bag involved, man. Ya heard me? I know you super rich. I know you like Taylor Swift outchea. Come on, man. Stop playing, man. Let’s get to this bag.”

Interestingly enough, around the same time, B.G. released “Gangstafied” where he rapped, “My n***a Weezy steady touring but he’s b**ch and it’s showing.” While this left many fans confused about their relationship and the future of the Hot Boys, the parolee later cleared the air. “Shout out to my little brother Weezy. I spoke to my little brother last night. Shout out to shorty, man. Still my little bro. Love my little bro. This shit be complicated,” he said.

Juvenile Confirms

Juvenile responded enthusiastically, confirming this week that the group is indeed working on a new Hot Boys album and preparing for a tour. He stated, “Turk gonna be with me tonight, I’m gonna be with B.G. next week. Me, Wayne, Turk, and B.G., all of us gonna be on stage in New Orleans with Mannie Fresh and Birdman. And we already done started working on a Hot Boys album.”

Birdman’s Backing

Cash Money Records founder Bryan “Birdman” Williams has also been vocal about supporting the reunion. Birdman has offered substantial financial backing, willing to invest $100 million into the tour. “We definitely going on tour. I’m putting up $100 mil for it myself,” Birdman announced. However, he also tempered expectations by stating, “I ain’t guaranteeing that it’s gonna be everybody. I’m standing on business and that’s what it is. If it work out, it work out. If it don’t, it don’t. But we definitely gonna get this money, that’s for a fact.”

The Essence Fest Performance

The highly anticipated reunion will officially kick off at the Essence Fest in July. This event will mark the first time all four original members will perform together in years, alongside long-time collaborators Mannie Fresh and Birdman. The performance is expected to draw massive crowds, eager to see the legendary group back in action.

A New Album & Tour

In addition to their live performance, the Hot Boys are in the process of recording a new album. While details about the album are still under wraps, the group’s return to the studio signals a fresh chapter in their storied career. Fans can expect a blend of the classic Hot Boys sound with contemporary influences, showcasing their growth as artists while staying true to their roots.

The reunion tour promises to be a monumental event, celebrating the legacy of one of hip-hop’s most iconic groups. As anticipation builds, fans are eagerly awaiting more details about tour dates and new music.

Juvenile Announces New Hot Boys Album With Lil Wayne, B.G. & Turk

Fans have long been requesting a Hot Boys reunion, and it looks like their prayers have finally been answered. During a recent chat with fans on Instagram Live, founding member Juvenile announced that their first album in over two decades is currently in the works. Their last effort, Let ‘Em Burn, was released in March of 2003.

He shared the news in response to fans’ reunion demands, as seen in a clip from the Live. “The Hot Boys Is back together, man,” he said, explaining that he’ll be working alongside his fellow members in the coming weeks. “Any other f*cking questions?” He’s yet to confirm an official release date, but for obvious reasons, fans can’t wait.

First Hot Boys Album In Over 20 Years Is On The Way

The exciting announcement follows B.G.’s release from prison after a 12-year stay, as well as a bit of tension between him and another Hot Boys member. The rapper teamed up with Finesse2tymes for their track “Gangstafied” in January, taking shots at none other than Lil Wayne. “My n***a Weezy steady tourin’, but he’s a b*tch and it’s showin’,” he rhymed, prompting big reactions from fans. He later clarified that he didn’t mean any harm. “I tell a n***a I love him and call him a b***h all in the same sentence, man,” he told fans on Live.

Nonetheless, they’ve been teasing the idea of a reunion for some time. In February, only a few weeks after being dissed, Lil Wayne told YG on the 4HUNNID podcast that the only thing holding them back was B.G.’s travel restrictions. “Juvie ready and Turk ready, but really we gotta see if Geezy can move around,” he said. What do you think of Juvenile announcing that the first Hot Boys album is over 20 years in on the way? Are you looking forward to hearing it? Chrisean Rock Gets Emotional After Seeing Blueface In Court: Watch

It’s no secret that it’s been a tough few months for Chrisean Rock. Aside from adjusting to motherhood, the Baddies star is currently dealing with the father of her child Blueface, and his incarceration. The “Thotiana” performer turned himself in back in January for an alleged parole violation, and he’s expected to be behind bars until at least July of this year.

Amid Blueface’s stay, Chrisean has been vocal about wanting him to return home. While it doesn’t look like she’ll be getting that anytime soon, she recently got the next best thing. During an Instagram Live today, she revealed that she saw him in court. She broke down in tears while detailing their interaction, explaining how he got a rare opportunity to hold their baby boy, Chrisean Jr.

Chrisean Rock Misses Blueface

“I stood in the back with the baby,” she began. “But it’s cr*zy because when I first went to court that’s what I did the last time. The judge, she let me do it. She’s like ‘Oh no, she can stand up.’ So this time it was like a full circle. I could tell she noticed that my son got bigger or something because she looked at us, smiled.” Chrisean went on, recalling Blueface holding Jr. for the first time in months. “She was like, ‘Yeah come on, bring the baby.’ So I walked and gave him the baby, and he was just holding the baby, and I was just like holding him.”

“I didn’t know if I should kiss him or what, I don’t know what I wasn’t allowed to do to him,” she continued. “I was just like crying for real because I was just like ‘Oh my God.’ He got all chunky, his beard is filling in a little bit.” What do you think of Chrisean Rock getting emotional after seeing Blueface in court? Birdman & More To Celebrate 30 Years Of Essence Fest With Cash Money Reunion

Earlier this week, it was announced that Birdman and his Cash Money crew will get together for a reunion at Essence Fest in New Orleans this summer. The performance, which is scheduled for Independence Day weekend, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic festival.

“The most anticipated reunion goes down at this year’s ESSENCE Fest. This isn’t the only reunion fans have to look forward to, however. For months now, the Hot Boys have been teasing a comeback following B.G.’s release from prison after a decade-long stay. It’s uncertain if or when the reunion will take place, though Lil Wayne told the 4HUNNID podcast in February that they’re waiting for B.G. to get permission to travel. Juvenile went on to tell TMZ that it’s a sure bet, though supporters might have to wait just a bit longer. “No negativity from me, man,” he explained to the outlet. “You know, with me, I’m always like, ‘It’s gon’ happen.’ It’s gonna happen. We gotta let them simmer down a little bit. But trust me though, it’s happening.”

Tha Dogg Pound Reunion: Snoop Dogg, Swizz Beatz, Flavor Flav & More Tease Duo’s Comeback

Members of Tha Dogg Pound may have gone their separate ways in the late 90s, but it appears as though a reunion could finally be in the works. This week, several mysterious videos popped up on Snoop Dogg’s Instagram page, seemingly hinting that there’s something on the way. The videos feature Swizz Beatz, Flavor Flav, and even NLE Choppa. In them, they inquire about whatever happened to the pair, made up of Kurupt and Daz Dillinger.

“Dog, I gotta question: what happened to Tha Dogg Pound? I heard they broke up, is that true? That’s what I heard,” Swizz says in his video. Flavor Flav and Choppa’s questions were almost identical, and have led to plenty of speculation among fans. “Sounds like a new single is coming out produced by Swizz,” one user suspects. Another simply writes, “Something’s brewing.”

Swizz Beatz, Flavor Flav, And NLE Choppa Are Curious What Happened To Tha Dogg Pound

At the time of writing, it remains unclear exactly what the artists have planned, but it’s safe to say that fans can’t wait. Daz himself also teased a possible Tha Dogg Pound comeback earlier this month, though he’s said little about it since, keeping fans on their toes. “AINT NUTHIN LIKE FAMILY CUZZN SO ALL U HATERS DPGC IS BAC,” he captioned a photo of him and Snoop Dogg, leaving their followers to speculate.

While some are convinced that a reunion is imminent, others are worried this could just be another trick, a la the smokeless grill debacle. Janet Jackson & Q-Tip Reunion Rumors Fly After Flirty Birthday Post

Janet Jackson and Q-Tip may have called off their relationship more than two decades ago, but evidently, the two artists remain close. In fact, one of her latest social media posts has led some fans to believe that they’re closer than ever these days, and may have even rekindled their romance. Earlier this week, Jackson took to her Instagram to wish Q a happy 54th birthday. Many note, however, that the tone of her message seemed a bit flirtatious. Moreover, she revealed that they were together the evening prior, suggesting that they could be back on.

“30 + yrs of friendship… So special to me. Thank you for coming over last nite. Happy bday [blowing kiss emojis],” she captioned a black and white photo of Q-Tip. While it’s surely possible that Jackson and Q-Tip’s relationship is purely platonic, social media users were quick to speculate.

Janet Jackson Thanks Q-Tip For “Coming Over Last Nite”

“It was always supposed to be them for [me]!” one fan writes, with another playfully dubbing the songstress “Janet ‘spin the block’ Jackson.” Others are making jokes about how another one of her exes, Jermaine Dupri, must feel about the rumored reunion. It remains unclear what caused Jackson and Q-Tip to go their separate ways in 2002, but perhaps they’ve been able to move past it.

Back in 2021, Q-Tip reflected on their relationship in an interview with Math Hoffa, revealing that they met on the set of Poetic Justice and the rest was history. “It be cool and sh*t,” he explained. “She be making eggs and sh*t and I’ll be chilling like, ‘Yo, that’s Penny!’ to myself. I love her to death and she’s a Jackson — that’s Black royalty.” What do you think of Janet Jackson’s recent message to Q-Tip in honor of his 54th birthday? Lil Scrappy Admits He’d “Definitely Marry” Erica Dixon Following Bambi Divorce

Lil Scrappy and Erica Dixon have been fueling reunion rumors for months now. It doesn’t look like the former is too opposed to the idea, either. During a recent Instagram Live, the performer chatted with fans about their relationship, comparing it to his last. It’s no secret that his divorce from Bambi got pretty messy, but viewers were still pretty surprised by what he said next.

“I would definitely get married to Erica,” he revealed. “I need something solid when I get married… like something real solid.” Scrappy continued, describing how he wants to be sure he knows the next person he marries as well as possible. “I want to know the person,” he explained, “be friends with them or something.”

Lil Scrappy Discusses His Relationship With Erica Dixon

As expected, commenters on the stream were quick to call Scrappy out, pressing him for more details of his and Dixon’s current arrangement. “I’m not saying Erica’s not solid, I’m just saying like, we’re just not together,” he responded. “That’s my friend.” While Scrappy and Dixon continue to deny rumors they’ve rekindled their romance, some of their latest social media posts have left fans suspicious, particularly a few fun vacation shots.

At the end of last month, the duo took a trip to Aruba together, sharing various clips and photos of the tropical getaway with their Instagram followers. Supporters noticed that their daughter didn’t appear to join them on the trip, and that Scrappy’s post was accompanied by some romantic music. Obviously, they couldn’t help but speculate, despite them insisting they’re nothing more than co-parents. Juvenile Says Lil Wayne & B.G. Need To “Simmer Down” Before Hot Boys Reunion

Fans have been hoping for a Hot Boys reunion for some time now, and it looks like it won’t be too long before it finally arrives. During a recent interview with TMZ, Juvenile provided an update on the eagerly-anticipated performance. While he didn’t unveil too many specifics, he did confirm that it’s definitely happening, so long as everything goes according to plan.

“No negativity from me, man,” he said of the reunion. “You know, with me, I’m always like, ‘It’s gon’ happen.’ It’s gonna happen. We gotta let them simmer down a little bit. But trust me though, it’s happening.” The performer seemed to be referencing B.G.’s Lil Wayne diss on his track with Finesse2tymes, “Gangstafied.” In the song, he refers to Weezy as a “b*tch,” though he later insisted that all is well between them.

Juvenile Claims Hot Boys Reunion Is “Gonna Happen”

“[You] don’t really understand what the f**k be going on, man,” B.G. told fans on Instagram Live in January. “You know what I’m saying? I tell a n***a I love him and call him a b***h all in the same sentence, man.” Luckily, it doesn’t appear as though Lil Wayne held the diss against him. The following month, he chatted about a potential reunion on YG’s 4HUNNID podcast, revealing that only a few logistical issues are holding them back at this point.

“We’ve spoken about it a few times but, you know, they have situations. Like B.G. just coming home so he gotta figure out: can he tour? Can he travel? And things like that,” he explained at the time. “Juvie ready and Turk ready, but really we gotta see if Geezy can move around.” What do you think of Juvenile’s latest update on a Hot Boys reunion?
