Did Beyoncé Direct The ‘Renaissance’ Movie?

This weekend, Beyoncé’s concert film, Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé, premiered in Los Angeles with a star-studded event attended by a who’s-who of today’s biggest names in music. While the film itself is set to hit theaters on December 1, you can probably expect to learn more about the movie this week, whenever any embargoes are lifted by Parkwood Entertainment.

However, there are a few things we already know. Thanks to the film’s trailer we know that there will be some behind-the-scenes footage, as well as those long-awaited music videos. And thanks to the film’s marketing we know who directed it: Beyoncé herself, along with James B. Merryman and Mark Ritchie, adding another hyphen to her long list of talents.

One of the other takeaways from the film’s premiere was how her daughter, Blue Ivy, improved her stage presence after seeing some negative comments online. As it happens, the 11-year-old was only supposed to appear at one tour stop after finagling a concession from her perfectionist mom, but once she had something to prove, she trained hard for future appearances.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé fans couldn’t help but speculate about which moments from the singer’s massive Renaissance World Tour made it into the film, sharing predictions via social media ranging from inspired to downright silly.

Destiny’s Child Reunites At Beyonce’s “RENAISSANCE” Film’s World Premiere

Beyonce’s RENAISSANCE film just had its world premiere in Hollywood over the weekend, and a lot of celebrities showed out in their best for the occasion. Lori Harvey, Chlöe, Halle Bailey, DDG, Tina Lawson, Matthew Knowles, Janelle Monáe, Victoria Monét, and so many others popped out to have a great time. Most notably, though, this event also brought about another Destiny’s Child reunion, which is always amazing to see. Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland looked stunning, whereas OG members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett also came dressed to impress. The only other name missing- aside Queen Bey herself, who didn’t appear on the “chrome” carpet for the premiere- was Farrah Franklin, and the reason for her absence is publicly unknown.

Regardless, it’s still great to see the R&B icons have a ball together again, and come together for a monumental occasion. In fact, the RENAISSANCE film features some moments dedicated to capturing Destiny’s Child’s reunion at the Houston Homecoming show for the tour. “It was like a new birth for us, and a lot of healing,” Beyonce said in a narration over the footage. Maybe this won’t be the last we’ll hear from these female singers, as 2023 marks the 25th anniversary of the group’s debut album.

Destiny’s Child Reunites At Beyonce’s Concert Film Premiere

After all, Matthew Knowles hinted at a comeback in May of this year. “It’s a decision that the ladies would have to make,” he explained. “And I would certainly, certainly support that decision as I still manage Destiny’s Child. I would love to see that as well. I think the fans will be just overjoyed, overwhelmed. And hopefully they do one last time in their career. Hopefully they give us one last album. Who knows? You never know. You never say it can’t happen. Because this is entertainment. A lot of things can happen.”

Lizzo Steps Out For Beyonce’s “RENAISSANCE” Concert Film Premiere

Beyonce premiered her eagerly-anticipated Renaissance concert film in Beverly Hills last night, and as one would expect, hosted quite the guest list. Stars like Chloe and Halle Bailey, Janelle Monae, Kris Jenner, and more stepped out to support Queen Bey. Lizzo even reemerged for the event, which was hosted at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater. The embattled musician stunned in an all-white getup, rocking a long white skirt and a crop top, which she also complemented with a dramatic matching wrap.

Lizzo’s had quite a year, after being hit with a slew of allegations from former employees. She’s been accused of sexual harassment and bullying, as well as additional misconduct. She made it clear, regardless, that she wouldn’t miss an opportunity to show her love to Beyonce. The Texas-born songstress did, after all, show Lizzo her support amid the allegations.

Following news of the suit, Beyonce brought her iconic Renaissance World Tour to Atlanta, name-dropping her in “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” during the show. “Lizzo! I love you, Lizzo!” she shouted at the time. Clearly, Lizzo hasn’t forgotten those who have stood by her side throughout the tough circumstances. Plus, who could resist the opportunity to catch the premiere of Bey’s new concert film?

Following an undoubtedly difficult few months, Lizzo says that she’s focused on self-improvement, telling Instagram followers this month that she strives to get better. “I’m working.. on music, myself, relationships with people and food, my anxiety, my body, my business, and my trust issues with the world. But they are deep now, deeper than they’ve ever been,” she wrote. What do you think of Lizzo stepping out for the premiere of Beyonce’s new Renaissance concert film? Blue Ivy Carter’s “RENAISSANCE” Tour Dancing Got Better Due To Criticism, Beyonce Says

Most 11-year-olds can hardly fathom the idea of giving a presentation in front of their middle school class. While Blue Ivy Carter didn’t ask to be born into the spotlight as the eldest child of Jay-Z and Beyonce, she certainly wears it well and even stunned her famous parents by performing alongside the “Single Ladies” hitmaker for the majority of her RENAISSANCE Tour throughout the summer. As you may recall, the tween fell victim to an astounding amount of hate after her first show, with some suggesting Blue’s first time performing in front of 70,000 people somehow could’ve gone better.

In recent weeks, the young girl’s grandmother, Tina Lawson, shared that Carter was only set to join Bey for one show. The newly released concert film echoes these sentiments from the Queen herself, who also shared that her daughter came across the criticism about her dancing online, which was particularly heartbreaking for the Houston native to watch. “She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,” Beyonce says in the movie, as per the New York Times.

Upon reading the harsh words of others, the “ALIEN SUPERSTAR” expected to see Blue give up, or break down in emotion. Instead, the nepo baby put her best foot forward and remained determined to improve her skills for future performances. The Carter’s firstborn became a staple in the show by the time their tour wrapped, and we’re eager to see how else she’ll collaborate with Bey and Jay as she continues to grow.

After sharing the stage with her world-famous mother for months, Blue Ivy Carter couldn’t have been happier to support her at Saturday (November 25) night’s RENAISSANCE concert film premiere. Beyonce didn’t walk the red carpet along with invitees like Lizzo and her Destiny’s Child groupmates, but she’s still managing to break the internet with her bombshell blonde outfit for the event. See photos of that at the link below, and check back later for more music/pop culture news updates.

For Beyoncé, it’s go big or go home. That’s how she treated her award-winning Renaissance World Tour and the same goes for the premiere of her forthcoming concert film. Although the public won’t have a chance to see it until next month, on Saturday, November 25, the Grammy Award record holder’s company, Parkwood Entertainment, held a special, chromed-out premiere at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California.

At the premiere, the silver carpet was filled with several star-studded appearances, including card-carrying Beehive member Lizzo, Beyoncé’s musical mentees star Chlöe and Halle Bailey, Janelle Monáe, Normani, Victoria Monét, Coco Jones, and more. Thanks to clips captured by Variety, fans on social media were able to dazzle in all the over-the-top looks from the evening.

The onscreen reunion of Destiny’s Child’s longstanding members brought tears to viewers’ eyes. But the gang, including Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LaToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson, were all present for the film’s premiere.

Several entertainers who lent their talents to the Renaissance album were in attendance as well. TS Madison and Kevin Aviance strutted their best look on the chrome carpet.

Beyonce’s “RENAISSANCE” Film Premiere Look Reminds Us She’s A Blonde Bombshell

Ever since Beyonce returned with her highly anticipated RENAISSANCE album in 2022, we’ve been living in her world. The mother of three followed that disco-infused project with a European and North American tour for the ages that concluded earlier this fall, with her and Jay-Z’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, joining her mother for most of the performances. Those who weren’t able to catch one of Bey’s concerts in person have likely already secured their tickets for her new RENAISSANCE Tour experience film, with dates scheduled across the nation following the star-studded premiere on Saturday (November 25) night.

We saw famous faces like Lizzo, Kelly Rowland, Halle Bailey, and DDG all make their way down the red carpet in their best dressed. Though she had arguably one of the best looks of her career so far for the big event, Beyonce actually skipped out on walking in with her friends and fans. Instead, the Houston native met up with those who came out to support her inside to snap pictures after posing for a few stunning solo shots.

Beyonce Goes Bold for Her New Concert Film’s Debut

Not only was her strapless silver gown and matching gloves perfectly on theme for the RENAISSANCE film, but the “Halo” hitmaker’s perfectly platinum blonde hair added an icy touch to her look. The premiere went down at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, and according to DailyMail, guests were encouraged to dress themselves in “cozy opulence” for their evening of celebrating Queen B‘s latest successes.

Now that the RENAISSANCE Tour has wrapped and its accompanying film is in theatres, Beyonce’s fans are curious about what the ever-ambitious starlet will get around to crossing off her bucket list next. Earlier this month, rumours began swirling about the potential of a Las Vegas residency. In her typical fashion, the Queen reportedly has a massive budget for her potential performances in Sin City. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Beyoncé Made A Surprise Appearance During The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade Broadcast To Share A ‘Renaissance’ Movie Trailer

As Brandy and Jon Batiste put on their chippiest holiday cheer for the cameras during the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, one musician used the viewership to roll out something special to them. Although she was not present on one of the day’s overly decorated floats, Beyoncé made a surprise appearance during the broadcast by way of her latest Renaissance concert movie trailer.

“Time is my biggest obstacle,” Beyoncé says in the clip. “It’s impossible to not realize how fast it’s going when you’re looking through the eyes of your children.”

The opening scene is adorably captured by her youngest daughter, Rumi, who she shares with husband and fellow musician Jay-Z. As Rumi’s bit-sized voice can be heard in the trailer, that’s not the only cameo viewers will quickly identify.

As Beyoncé remarks, “I think about all of my heroes, and all that they endured,” Diana Ross graces the scene. In other moments, Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, and each of the members of Destiny’s Child, past and present (Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson) are spotlighted.

Beyonce Shares Thanksgiving Message With Fans & Preview Of “RENAISSANCE” Film

Beyonce is one of pop culture’s most beloved figures, so a “Happy Thanksgiving” from her- for those who celebrate- means a whole lot more. Moreover, she recently shared a special message with fans for the holiday, which is sure to give a wholesome boost to your day. Not only that, but the Houston superstar also let folks know that she hasn’t forgotten about her fast-approaching treat for the BeyHive making its theater debut very soon. She also gave a new sneak peek of the upcoming RENAISSANCE concert film, coming out very soon in December. With all this celebration to take in, the turkey’s going to taste a lot better today.

“Hey, it’s Beyonce!” the “CUFF IT” singer began her message. “Wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving. I’m so honored to share with you the first look at the new RENAISSANCE film trailer.” In addition, you can hear her speak on the album and concert series’ experience in the trailer clip. “I have nothing to prove to anyone at this point. We are creating our own world. This is my reward, nobody can take that away from me.”

Beyonce Celebrates Thanksgiving With New RENAISSANCE Film Preview

This is building up a lot of excitement for the RENAISSANCE film, as well as contributing to praise of Beyonce from surprising places. For example, André 3000 recently thanked her and Jay-Z for allowing him to use her name in one of his new album’s track’s titles. “Ninety Three ‘Til Infinity And Beyoncé” is one of the shorter moments on New Blue Sun, but nonetheless a powerful and immersive one. It goes to show that Queen Bey needs to give her stamp of approval for anything that wants to touch her brand, even if it’s just her name.

Meanwhile, if her Vegas residency budget is anything to go off of, the RENAISSANCE movie is going to be an opulent, grand, and wholly unique experience. It’s hard to compare, but the tour was so successful and larger-than-life that we can’t help but draw connections between the funds and the final product. What are you most excited to see in the concert documentary? Let us know in the comments and stay posted on HNHH for more news and updates on Beyonce.
