“Mean Girls” NYC Premiere Photo Roundup: Lindsay Lohan, Megan Thee Stallion, Reneé Rapp & More

Return to wearing pink on Wednesdays because the new musical edition of Mean Girls is just around the corner. In 2004, the Mark Waters-directed film stormed the globe and overtook pop culture. The movie starred Lindsay Lohan as Cady Heron, a coy teen who transfers to a new school after being raised in Africa. She clashes with The Plastics, led by Regina George, perfectly portrayed by Rachel McAdams. The cult classic is a fan-favorite that has been quoted and meme’d for two decades, and in just a few days, the next iteration of Mean Girls is set to arrive in theaters.

There have been several events leading up to the January 12 release of Mean Girls, but most recently, stars gathered for the New York City premiere. Last night, celebrities descended on New York City’s AMC in Lincoln Park to celebrate the upcoming musical. The red carpet hosted several familiar faces, including Tina Fey, who wrote the screenplay for both Mean Girls films. She was joined by Lindsay Lohan, who posed for photos alongside the new cast. This latest Mean Girls feature breeds flourishing talent with names like Reneé Rapp, Angourie Rice, Christopher Briney, and Auliʻi Cravalho.

As she typically does at such events, Megan Thee Stallion stole the attention in a purple gown pulled from the Julian Mendez costume gallery, reports Harper’s Bazaar. Some believe she gave a subtle nod to the recently released film The Color Purple in the Natalia Barzilai design. Further, the Grammy winner also posed alongside her collaborator, Reneé Rapp. The two collided on “Not My Fault” from the Mean Girls soundtrack.

Tina Fey and the feature’s producer, Saturday Night Live legend Lorne Michaels, were also on the scene, along with Lohan, who looked stunning. Check out a few highlights from the event and the official trailer for the Mean Girls musical below.

Beyonce And Jay-Z Attend Renaissance Film Premiere Together

Last year, Beyonce released her new album Renaissance. It spawned hit songs like “BREAK MY SOUL” and “CUFF IT” while also raking in praise from critics for its eclectic blend of influences. Earlier this year she took off on her massive Renaissance tour across North America and Europe. The tour made nightly news for the high-profile guests in attendance and various collaborators she had join her on stage.

Earlier this year after the tour wrapped up, she announced that a concert film recapping the shows would be released in December. It followed in the footsteps of Taylor Swift, who also turned the North American portion of her Eras Tour into a concert film that was released earlier this month. Now with the release of the Renaissance film coming later this week, the movie is being premiered at numerous locations around the world. Earlier this week the film had its North American premiere in Hollywood and the celebrities showed out. Lizzo, Halle Bailey, and Lori Harvey were all in attendance and there was even a Destiny’s Child reunion. Now the film is having its London premiere which is once again stacked with guests.

Beyonce And Jay-Z Watching Renaissance Film

One person who showed up to the film’s new premiere could certainly be considered a guest of honor. Jay-Z and Beyonce hit up the premiere together and pictures of the pair are circulating online. Much like earlier in the week, fans are once again asking some questions about Bey’s new blonde look. Some fans are even going as far as to say that she looks unrecognizable or theorizing that she may have a body double of some kind.

The Renaissance tour film is expected to have a massive opening weekend at the box office. Similarly, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film earlier this year went out to massive numbers of its own. The film has already cleared $250 million across its first two weekends in theaters. What do you think of the new pictures of Beyonce and Jay-Z and the Renaissance tour film premiere? Let us know in the comments below.

Beyonce’s “RENAISSANCE” Concert Movie Looks To Have A Massive Opening Weekend

We are now just about 24 hours away from an icon’s concert film hitting select theaters. Beyonce’s, RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ, recently had a private showing over the holiday weekend on November 25. Plenty of stars stepped out to support the Houston native, including people like Lizzo and almost the entire cast of Destiny’s Child. There was a hot topic that came out that event that centered around Beyonce’s look. Many were saying she was trying to be white and rip off Kim Kardashian’s style.

Even though that moment was bothersome, especially for her mother, Tina Knowles, it appeared to be a successful evening. Over the past month or so, Beyonce has teased the movie with trailers including one that dropped on Thanksgiving. The icon shared a message to her followers, wishing them a Happy Holiday, while also revealing a first look at her film.

Beyonce’s Movie Premiere Look Has Fans Saying She Is Biting Off Kim Kardashian, Nick Cannon Shares His Passionate Opinion

Beyonce and Kim Kardashian’s effect on pop culture is absolutely massive. Both have created a lane for themselves. Almost everyone that tries to replicate their ripple effect never really comes close. But, honestly, it is nearly impossible to mimic the same results each figure has produced. Currently, Queen Bey is looking to dominate the box office sales very soon. Like many high-profile musical artists, they like to come out with concert films. Well, that is exactly what she did to build out an already successful album and tour run with the RENAISSANCE film.

There was a movie premiere this past weekend on November 25 and a lot of stars showed up. One trending topic to come out of this is Beyonce’s look for the cameras. The icon stepped out in a glitzy silver dress and platinum blonde hair. While she certainly shined, a lot of commenters are saying she stole Kim Kardashian’s silver hair look. According to HipHopDX, a few people underneath a repost from The Neighborhood Talk were ripping Bey. One said, “I thought this was Kim Kardashian until I read the caption.”

Some were even dissing her for looking “more pale than normal.” One wrote, “Baby who is this white woman?!” However, there are always two sides to an argument, and Nick Cannon stepped in to defend Beyonce. In another repost from The Neighborhood Talk, they snagged a clip from Nick’s show, The Daily Cannon. He had a quote that is sure to get some people fired up. The TV star said, essentially, that Kim wishes she looked like Beyonce and some agreed. One person goes, “How Beyonce look like Kim K when Kim K don’t even look like Kim K 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What are your initial thoughts on people saying Beyonce looks too similar to Kim Kardashian for her get-up at her movie premiere? Do you think others are trying to start something, or is it really nothing? Does Nick Cannon have a point about Kim wanting to look like Beyonce? Beyonce’s “RENAISSANCE” Film Premiere Look Reminds Us She’s A Blonde Bombshell

Ever since Beyonce returned with her highly anticipated RENAISSANCE album in 2022, we’ve been living in her world. The mother of three followed that disco-infused project with a European and North American tour for the ages that concluded earlier this fall, with her and Jay-Z’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, joining her mother for most of the performances. Those who weren’t able to catch one of Bey’s concerts in person have likely already secured their tickets for her new RENAISSANCE Tour experience film, with dates scheduled across the nation following the star-studded premiere on Saturday (November 25) night.

We saw famous faces like Lizzo, Kelly Rowland, Halle Bailey, and DDG all make their way down the red carpet in their best dressed. Though she had arguably one of the best looks of her career so far for the big event, Beyonce actually skipped out on walking in with her friends and fans. Instead, the Houston native met up with those who came out to support her inside to snap pictures after posing for a few stunning solo shots.

Beyonce Goes Bold for Her New Concert Film’s Debut

Not only was her strapless silver gown and matching gloves perfectly on theme for the RENAISSANCE film, but the “Halo” hitmaker’s perfectly platinum blonde hair added an icy touch to her look. The premiere went down at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, and according to DailyMail, guests were encouraged to dress themselves in “cozy opulence” for their evening of celebrating Queen B‘s latest successes.

Now that the RENAISSANCE Tour has wrapped and its accompanying film is in theatres, Beyonce’s fans are curious about what the ever-ambitious starlet will get around to crossing off her bucket list next. Earlier this month, rumours began swirling about the potential of a Las Vegas residency. In her typical fashion, the Queen reportedly has a massive budget for her potential performances in Sin City. Nicki Minaj & Margot Robbie Were The Ultimate “Barbie” Girls At Last Night’s Premiere

Excitement for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie has rapidly been growing since the earliest teaser trailers arrived a few months ago. At first, it was the film’s star-studded cast (Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Issa Rae) that had the world talking. More recently it’s been the soundtrack that’s captivating future audiences. Notably, Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” which samples Aqua’s throwback classic, “Barbie Girl.”

Robbie shared that she specifically spoke with her director about including Spice and Minaj’s second-ever collaboration in the film. It was a no-brainer, seeing as the Queen of Rap mentions Barbie in songs and even when referring to herself. On Sunday (July 9) evening, the Trinidadian stepped out for the premiere alongside other artists on the soundtrack. Of course, she made sure to pose for several photos with Margot on the red carpet.

Minaj’s “Princess Diana (Remix)” collaborator wasn’t in attendance as she’s currently running the festival circuit overseas in Europe. Thankfully the 40-year-old was able to hold it down, looking as snatched as ever in her sky-blue Alaia dress that featured an incredibly high slit showing off her toned legs. Besides looking radiant beside Robbie, the Queen hitmaker also captured photos beside a bright pink car, and gave us a look at her calf-length, platinum blonde wig that definitely makes her the ultimate Barbie.

Promotion for her and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World” single is high on Nicki Minaj’s to-do list at this time, but outside of focusing on that she’s still found time to interact with the Barbz on Twitter. This past weekend as she was scrolling through the app, the mother of one came across an absurd deep fake video of her and Tom Holland, which had her ready to delete the entire internet. Read all about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Da Brat’s Baby Bump Stole The Show On The “Creed III” Premiere Red Carpet

Just a few days ago, Da Brat shocked her fanbase with news of her pregnancy at 48 years old. She and her wife Jesseca Dupart are obviously very excited about the new development, and it wasn’t long after the initial announcement that the rapper’s bump made its big debut. As DailyMail reports, it was the Creed III premiere in Atlanta on Thursday (February 23), that saw the expecting couple showing off their baby-to-be.

When sharing the big news with PEOPLE, the Chicago-born lyricist spoke candidly about her past miscarriage and IVF journey. “I never thought I was going to have kids. I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me,” she previously explained. “I’ve had a great career, a full life. I felt like, because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”

When she met her future wife, however, is when Da Brat began to change her perspective. “I started looking at life so differently. I was like, I want a little me with you. Something special from the both of us that we can share and raise and love unconditionally,’” she told the outlet. During Thursday’s premiere, the love between the LGBTQ couple was obvious.

They donned matching army green bomber jackets, layering different black shirts underneath. While Dupart’s pants perfectly match her upper half, the “Ghetto Love” hitmaker switched things up with a pair of camouflage bottoms. While paparazzi snapped their photos on the Creed III red carpet, Da Brat kept one hand on her 18-week bump, reminding the world how proud she is of her mini miracle.

Creed III is Coming

During this month’s Super Bowl, the latest trailer for the Michael B. Jordan-directed feature arrived. Fans are anxiously waiting for the official release in theatres early next month, as well as the Dreamville-executive produced soundtrack that’s set to drop on the same day. So far, we’ve heard JID and Lute on “Ma Boy,” as well as Bas, Black Sherif, and Kel-P on “Blood, Sweat & Tears” more recently.

Jordan was also in attendance at Thursday’s premiere, and he didn’t hesitate to stir the pot by calling out an interviewer on the red carpet. In a clip that’s making rounds online, the actor calls the journalist out for allegedly calling him “corny” in high school, earning him a shocked and embarrassed reaction. Read more about that here, and check back later for more pop culture news.
