Dave Blunts’ Performance At Juice WRLD Day Leads To Wave Of Criticism Online

Dave Blunts was one of a couple of performers at Juice WRLD Day at Chicago’s United Center on Saturday (November 30), and he was probably among the most notable. Moreover, he took to the stage with an oxygen tank, and this decision resulted in a lot of backlash online. Many fans criticized Blunts’ entourage for allowing him to perform in such conditions, others took aim at the rapper himself for his weight and life decisions, and a few fans became more critical of the Juice WRLD Day organizers for promoting this image to honor a late rapper who passed away due to substance abuse.

During Dave Blunts’ performance, he also called out Snoop Dogg for clowning him online, and Snoop couldn’t help but just laugh in response. “That was funny,” he said while laughing boisterously. “Go ahead, lil’ homie – I mean big homie… I ain’t f***ing with you… I apologize to this n***a. He’s still going off on me. I must be getting old.” “Well put down the chicken wings and Tata chips Nefew and that chair gone break soon get to the end of the cup,” Snoop had commented online in reference to Blunts’ “The Cup” song and music video.

Dave Blunts’ Juice WRLD Day Performance Leads To Backlash

Apart from Dave Blunts, plenty of other rappers also attended Juice WRLD Day in Chicago, commemorating the late rap legend’s life and legacy. It comes at a pretty interesting time for his artistry, as a lot of fans didn’t really like his posthumous – and final – album, The Party Never Ends. Still, at this point, real fans know the gems in the catalog, and so they can continue to mourn and celebrate Juice in their own way.

More Reactions

However, a lot of these fans find it pretty odd that Dave Blunts performed at Juice WRLD Day, and there were a lot of divisive and varied reactions to his appearance. Some fans expressed a stronger aversion to The Party Never Ends, and this contributes to a pretty weird moment for the fanbase. Hopefully fans can continue to have respectful and empathetic conversations about these topics rather than just blindly sending hate or mockery someone’s way.

Kendrick Lamar’s Alleged Ex Nitty Scott Reveals Why “GNX” Gives Her Flashbacks

Yesterday, Kendrick Lamar shocked fans and critics alike by dropping an entire new album, GNX. The project quickly became one of the biggest topics on social media, as countless users shared their reactions to it. Of course, these have been mixed, but the album has been generally well-received so far. Most listeners agree that this was yet another unexpected and impressive move on Kendrick’s part. Others are having a difficult time listening to it, though it may not be for the reasons one would expect.

Earlier today, Kendrick’s alleged ex-girlfriend Nitty Scott took to Instagram to share what appears to be her reaction to the surprise drop. Unfortunately, she admits that she can’t listen to any of Kendrick’s music without being reminded of an old toxic partner. According to her, the partner tried to ban her from listening to the Compton rapper in the car. “I can’t listen to kendrick without having flashbacks of when my ex tried to ban me from playing him in the car [crying emojis]. IYKYK! that mf bring out the insecurity in EVERYBODY.”

Nitty Scott Recalls Toxic Ex Trying To Ban Her From Listening To Kendrick Lamar In The Car

This wasn’t the first time people close to Nitty Scott tried to create ample distance between the two artists, however. In 2015, she appeared on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning, where she recalled her relationship with Kendrick. “That was my boo. I was seeing him and him only for at least a year,” she explained at the time.

“The people that were in charge of my career in the past, that was a relationship that they were not comfortable with,” she continued. “I think that’s out of pocket already simply because I don’t think your personal relationships should be determined by people you are involved with professionally. But that is what really made it so that it couldn’t flourish just because I was told that was not a good look.”

Kendrick Lamar Fans Share Their Bewildered First Impressions Of New Album “GNX”

We all woke up this morning expecting just a regular Friday, but we really should’ve woken up looking for the broccoli. Who knew that Kendrick Lamar was going to cap off a legendary 2024 with a brand new surprise album, GNX? No one – not even his label, apparently – so maybe we shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves. Nevertheless, fans quickly moved past their shock and listened to the new project in full, and needless to say, there are a lot of strong reactions. The West Coast bounces on many of these songs, plus the fiery performances from K.Dot on the mic, had many thinking that this was one of his best rap showings ever.

However, others weren’t impressed by some of the softer moments on the album or felt that Kendrick Lamar was doing too much vocally to engage. Some were very appreciative of the more roots-driven and fundamental hip-hop production all over GNX, whereas others felt like these were just pop-centric jams that didn’t have any artistic value. With all that out of the way, though, the reception to this new album is an overall positive one. It’s Kendrick; how could it not get high praise when his quality standard is so high and consistent?

Kendrick Lamar Fans React To GNX

Elsewhere, some fans instead looked to the lyrical matter of Kendrick Lamar’s pen here, appreciating his boisterous energy and also his conceptual and narrative gifts. Others don’t really want to hear him yap about all this stuff, but his rapping is probably what’s getting the least amount of undue hate online right now, so that’s a small minority. Still, it’s only been a couple of hours since GNX came out, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves. There are ’90s albums that don’t get the classic conversations they deserve; let’s not let recency bias trip us out.

More Reactions

At the same time, the Drake beef means that there will always be a lot of negativity towards both him and Kendrick Lamar no matter what they do. In fact, it’s interesting to discern who’s really critical of GNX and who isn’t even trying to hide their OVO bias. The same goes for pgLang heads, but that’s a story for another time. Check out more reactions to this new album down below.

Jay Leno’s Gruesome Injuries Have Social Media Users Speculating He Owes Someone Money

Recently, Jay Leno popped out with some gruesome-looking injuries, leaving social media users suspicious. The comedian is currently sporting an eye patch, a badly bruised face, a broken wrist, and more. According to him, he fell down a 60-foot hill near a Hampton Inn in Pennsylvania after underestimating how steep it was. Obviously, things took a turn for the worse, and the 74-year-old went barreling to the ground.

“To get to it (the restaurant), I didn’t have a car, so you had to walk about a mile and a half around,” he told TMZ of the incident. “I said, ‘Well, the hill doesn’t look that steep. … Let me see if I can go down the hill’ […] I fell down. Boom, boom, boom. rolled down the hill, hit my head on a rock, knocked me in the eye.” Leno proceeded to downplay his injuries, calling them “not that big a deal.”

Jay Leno Says He Fell Down A 60-Foot Hill

“The great thing about this age, you don’t learn by your mistakes. You just keep doing the same stupid thing,” he also joked. While Leno’s supporters are hoping he has a speedy recovery, not all of them are buying his story about falling down a hill. In fact, several social media users speculate that he allegedly owes someone money, and got roughed up because of it.

Obviously, this is just a theory that’s in no way confirmed. Fans are looking back at some of the other injuries he’s sustained over the past few years regardless, however, arguing that those are looking all the more suspicious.

Social Media Users Speculate About Jay Leno’s Latest Injuries

“Yea. Jay Leno getting extorted for some sh*t he either did, or gambling problems. Lol. This his 3rd time being f*cked up bad. Da f*ck u walking to a show over a mile away, staying at the Hampton inn for ? CUT THE SH*T AND GO TO THE POLICE JAY LENO,” one X user writes. “No way that was a fall. Was he going to speak out about something ?” another wonders. Check out some social media users’ reactions to Jay Leno’s injuries down below.

Juice WRLD Fans Absolutely Rip Into His Team For Posthumous Album’s Horrendous Cover Art

Juice WRLD left a huge void when he left us almost five years ago, but his fans, team, loved ones, and admirers continue to celebrate his life and legacy. However, posthumous releases are never easy to handle, and can often turn disrespectful or unfulfilling in the eyes of fans. That’s exactly what’s happening with the late Chicago legend’s upcoming third posthumous album The Party Never Ends, as fans are absolutely blasting the cover art for it. It looks Takashi Murakami-inspired, but overall, it just hit a lot of fans as ugly, overly colorful, and cheap. Definitely not the reception you want for a long-teased posthumous LP for one of hip-hop’s most passionate and impacted fanbases….

The cover art for Juice WRLD’s The Party Never Ends reportedly emerged thanks to its appearance in Fortnite, as he’s one of a few rap artists collaborating with the video game for its Chapter 2 Remix update. Of course, we don’t know what he would’ve done with the game if he was still alive, but there is certainly a lot of crossover there that his team and the game’s developers and publishers want to respect and celebrate.

Meanwhile, a lot of fans don’t care as much about this album cover, of which there are many infamous examples. Instead, folks just want to hear Juice WRLD tracks that feel fully brought to life, appropriately marketed, compelling, and worthwhile. The Party Never Ends‘ lead single is the “All Girls Are The Same” remix, “AGATS2 (Insecure)” featuring Nicki Minaj, which is a dreamy reimagining of the original. Maybe this will comprise much of this new album, but the main concern is that it doesn’t feel like a soulless cash-grab that doesn’t add anything to the canon.

At least there are other artistic tributes to Juice WRLD that are much more well-received, respectful, and impressive than the cover art for The Party Never Ends. For example, his mother has a gorgeous mural of him in her recently opened brewery just outside of his home city of Chicago. Hopefully we see more of these in the near future and not eyesore album covers.

Drake Gets Roasted For Debuting New Hairstyle In Duck Face Selfie

Drake’s social media antics never fail to capture the attention of both fans and critics alike, and the Toronto rapper’s latest Instagram story post is no exception. Last night, he shared a new selfie, sporting his signature duck face and debuting a new hairstyle. As far as his hair goes, he’s kept it simple compared to some of his other recent styles, ditching the braids entirely. This, of course, has prompted plenty of commenters to reference Kendrick Lamar’s line about braids on his Drake diss track “Euphoria.”

“‘What is it, the braids?’ Got to him,” one Instagram user in Worldstar‘s comments section writes. “Kendrick got this man to cut his whole hair off,” someone else jokes. Others are more concerned with Drake’s pose. “Why he always tryna kiss me thru the phone,” a commenter wonders. Some even speculate that he must be trolling. For now, whether or not that’s true remains unclear, but this is far from the first selfie of its kind.

Drake Shows Off Shorter Hairstyle In New Photo

Earlier this month, for example, he hopped online to post a mirror selfie. In it, he’s seen rocking braided pigtails and a similarly pouty facial expression. He got roasted for that one as well, though it clearly didn’t stop him from getting back on the Gram. It looks like Drizzy could have far bigger things to worry about these days than selfies, however.

Last week, he told his followers that he put $355K on Mike Tyson winning his boxing match against Jake Paul. “I’m late but I’m here money on the liiiiiiiiine for today,” he captioned his post. “And tmrw @stake I need some dubs.” Sadly, both he and Mike Tyson took major losses on Friday. He’s yet to comment on the lost bet, which was just one of many he’s lost so far this year.

Hip-Hop Can’t Believe That Mike Tyson Lost To Jake Paul: See Rappers’ Reactions

Jake Paul took a win over Mike Tyson in their highly anticipated and officially sanctioned boxing match on Friday (November 15) at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and shocked many within the hip-hop community as a result. For those unaware, the fight faced a delay due to Iron Mike’s ulcer flaring up, witnessed a slap at Paul at the weigh-in, and saw a lot of people allege that they fixed the match. Each boxer’s interviews and statements before the big night also caught a lot of steam online, so there were multiple reasons to be curious about this outcome.

The rap world followed suit, and a whole bunch of MCs, producers, and commentators had some strong remarks before, during, and after the match. What’s more is that some of them even had a financial investment in who was going to emerge victorious, and some weren’t lucky enough to predict it successfully. Drake, a proud and frequent gambler, lost $335K last night after betting on Mike Tyson to beat Jake Paul. We’re sure you can find memes about the Drizzy curse online in spades these days.

Freddie Gibbs Reacts To Mike Tyson & Jake Paul Fight

Jokes aside, Mike Tyson had made some pretty despondent comments ahead of the Jake Paul fight that also caught many’s attention. “”I don’t believe in the word legacy,” he told young reporter Jazzy’s World TV. “I just think it’s another word for ego. Legacy doesn’t mean nothing. That’s just some word everyone grabbed onto. […] It means absolutely nothing to me. I’m just passing through. I’ma die and it’s gon’ to be over. Who cares about legacy after that? What a big ego. ‘I want people to think I’m this, I’m great.’ No, I’m nothing. We’re just dead. We’re dust, we’re absolutely nothing. Our legacy is nothing.”

More Rappers React

Meanwhile, thanks to a boxing challenge from KSI, maybe Jake Paul is already thinking about who his next opponent will be. We’re sure that he and Mike Tyson will have a lot of interesting statements to make about their showdown, so let’s see how this discourse evolves. In the meantime, you can check out rappers’ online reactions to the fight down below.

YBN Nahmir Relentlessly Clowned After Announcing Child With Infamous Groupie Celina Powell

YBN Nahmir recently had a pretty harrowing health scare earlier this year, so it’s nice to see him pop up for more positive and heartening reasons. However, even news of upcoming childbirth isn’t happy enough to stop people’s roasting. Moreover, he announced along with his current partner Celina Powell that they’re expecting a child, sharing some pictures on Instagram to celebrate. Fans’ reactions were pretty mocking, considering how the rapper doesn’t have the best public favor right now and Powell is infamous for being with a whole lot of rappers and famous people. Check out the comments of the IG post below to see what we mean.

“This worse than the cheese touch,” one fan ruthlessly wrote of YBN Nahmir and Celina Powell’s announcement. “Ngl this the biggest L of bros career,” another posited, and here’s a less flattering alternative: “Like kissing a public bathroom toilet.” Still, other fans know that he hasn’t had good news this year, and they recognize that the best thing for their mental health is to show your casual support for something that has nothing to do with your personal life. “Sometimes you gotta ‘as long as you happy’ a n***a,” one user commented under the IG post below.

YBN Nahmir & Celina Powell Announce They’re Expecting A Child: See Comments For Reactions

Ironically enough, before this YBN Nahmir announcement, Celina Powell spoke on deleting her OnlyFans account when she eventually gets pregnant. Looks like the time is now. She made those comments on the Aunt Tea podcast with Karlissa Saffold, Tia Kemp, and Tokyo Toni, who roasted Powell when she spoke on having a child. “You’re not going to get pregnant,” Toni exclaimed. “No. Don’t bring no baby to this world, f***ed up like you are. Get some help! You’re f***ed up. I think you’re trashy, filthy, nasty, and dirty.”

All the ladies laughed about it, though, so maybe they didn’t take this as seriously as other fans did. Still, now that YBN Nahmir and Celina Powell are having a baby, it seems like they might have to revisit that conversation. That Aunt Tea podcast also held a lot of other NSFW revelations, and the timing certainly doesn’t help mitigate these roasts. In any case, congrats to the couple!

Andre 3000, GloRilla, Run-DMC, & More React To Their Grammy Nominations

About 24 hours ago, The Recording Academy unveiled the GRAMMY nominees for 2025. There are some major headlines, especially in hip-hop, thanks to two names in particular. Kendrick Lamar is being rewarded with seven nominations thanks to his several diss tracks aimed at Drake. Then, there’s Beyonce, who’s putting up never-before-seen numbers for women. She is up for 11 categories, which breaks her own previous record of 10 back in 2010.

But there are many others making noise for their recent releases too. Their excitement has carried over to social media, according to AllHipHop, and they are thanking their fans and the Academy for their support. GloRilla, who’s been on a tear with two LPs and hit after hit, hopped on X (Twitter) to shout out her fanbase and herself. “S/O to God my team & y’all not to be cocky but shiiidddd S/O to MEEEE!! 3x Grammy nominated artist thank yall so much.”

However, despite how legendary Andre 3000 is, he had a time fathoming that his controversial flute album, New Blue Sun, would be up for Album of the Year. In speaking with Variety, the OutKast member said, “I felt that we tried to campaign to see if we could get into the alternative jazz or ambient category. So, this morning, when the album of the year category popped up, I was really, really surprised because I didn’t think that that many people even knew about it. So, I’m just happy that the votes came in that way and that people were paying attention, more than anything.”

Cardi B & Other Celebrities React To Donald Trump Winning The 2024 U.S. Presidential Election

Today, Donald Trump declared victory in the 2024 U.S. Presidential election. He spoke to his supporters at a watch party in Florida after outlets like the Associated Press called the big win. “Every citizen, I will fight for you, for your family and your future,” he said in part. “We have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly… We’re going to fix our borders. We’re going to fix everything about our country.”

Unsurprisingly, the results have earned big reactions from social media users. Cardi B, for example, took to X as Trump’s lead grew to weigh in. “We need a Hail Mary,” she wrote simply. Later on, she hopped on her Instagram with a selfie captioned “I hate y’all bad.” Just a few days ago, Cardi B spoke at Kamala Harris’ rally in Milwaukee. Prior to that, she defended the Vice President amid hateful comparisons to the “Hawk Tuah” girl.

Cardi B Is Fed Up

Cardi B is far from the only celebrity to share her take on Trump’s win, however. 50 Cent took to Instagram with his reaction this morning, which was far different from Cardi’s. “I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m leaving with the winner sh*t,” he captioned some photos of him and Trump. “I still don’t know what’s going on 🤦congratulations! @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.” Lil Pump, who’s been a vocal supporter of Trump for some time now is also trending on X for his reaction.

“God bless Donald Trump. Gas is gonna be cheaper. Taxes is gonna be lower and life is gonna be great,” he wrote in one Tweet. In several others, he dissed some of the celebs who endorsed Harris, including Taylor Swift and Eminem. “This is the best day of my life,” he also wrote.
