As it turns out, advancements in artificial intelligence seem to be doing more harm than good in the music industry. We’ve regularly seen fake songs appear online of long-deceased artists covering new releases, or entirely new tracks together from names like Drake and The Weeknd that receive just as much attention as their own drops. Aside from their voices being used without consent, stars like Nicki Minaj have also had issues with their image being stolen.

A few months back, ITVX launched their Deep Fake Neighbour Wars series, which pairs together unexpected celebrities in a simulated living environment. Among those coupled up are Adele and Jake Paul, Rihanna and Usain Bolt, and Beyonce and Billie Eilish. As The Conversation reports, Kim Kardashian and Idris Elba also appear in an episode together. Rather than their regular, glamorous jobs, the actor is a handyman/delivery driver. As for the socialite, she works as a bus driver in the deep fake world. In addition to all of those, Minaj also appears alongside the youngest Spider-Man, Tom Holland.

Nicki Minaj isn’t Feeling ITVX’s AI Series

Though ITVX’s clips first surfaced online earlier this year, it wasn’t until Sunday (July 9) that the Queen of Rap saw one and shared her thoughts. In the clip she retweeted, her and Holland recount a bizarre encounter with Mark Zuckerberg. While her appearance is pretty on-point, something about the rap diva’s voice is jarring.

“HELP!!! What in the AI shapeshifting cloning conspiracy theory is this?!?!!” Minaj asked her followers this morning. “I hope the whole internet get deleted!!!” the mother of one added, obviously concerned with what her likeness is being used for.

50 Cent Reacts To Photo Of Lil Baby At Michael Rubin’s Party: “WTF!”

50 Cent has taken to social media to weigh in on a photo of Lil Baby at Michael Rubin’s recent Independence Day party. The annual White Party took place in the Hamptons over the holiday weekend, and countless celebrity guests were in attendance. 50 Cent posted a shot of Lil Baby being hugged by two men at the party on Instagram, writing “See this is why I don’t go to no party puffy and them at.” He went on to ask, “da fu*k is going on here,” telling the men to “get the fu*k off my young [ninja emoji].” He topped off the caption with, “WTF!”

It’s clear that the photo doesn’t sit right with 50 Cent, and he isn’t shying away from sharing his opinion. An alleged mugshot of Jacquees has hit the internet. It’s unconfirmed when the photo was taken, or what the events were leading up to it. However, fan speculation is rampant on social media, and everyone is dying to know what happened. In the shot, Jacquees has a fat lip and what appears to be the beginnings of a black eye. This has led to additional theories, with some claiming that he appears to have been in a fight before the photo was taken.

One Twitter user asks, “Which one if y’all beat up Jacquees?” “Damn somebody beat Jacquees a*s,” another adds. Jacquees’ Alleged Mugshot

According to Rap Alert, the artist was arrested yesterday (June 23) for charges of simple battery and obstruction of law enforcement officers. They claim that Jacquees has since been released on bond. The circumstances surrounding the arrest remain unclear.

Jacquees was arrested previously, for failing to follow orders from a police officer in 2018. He was pulled over in his Lamborghini in Miami Beach for not wearing a seat belt. Reports claim that he failed to pull over, and later failed to provide law enforcement with his driver’s license. “Do not touch me,” he reportedly told an officer, who had asked him to move to a nearby sidewalk. A report for the incidents says, “If the defendant would have complied since he was being pulled over, this incident could have been avoided.” He was arrested again that same year for driving at 116 miles per hour at 3 a.m. in Atlanta. Jacquees was pulled over, and officers searched his vehicle to find around three grams of marijuana. He was charged with speeding, reckless driving, littering, and possession of a controlled substance.

The hunt for the missing Titan submersible ended with the announcement that all five men on board had perished. The United States Coast Guard believe that the undersea vehicle suffered a cataphoric hull breach, causing the vehicle to implode under the deep sea pressure. The news came on June 22, a few hours after it was believed the submersible’s oxygen reserve had been depleted. Much has been made of the gross corporate negligence that lead to the disaster. The Titan was reportedly built from carbon fiber purchased from Boeing as it had passed its expiry date to be considered fit to be used in aircraft.

Furthermore, there were comments from OceanGate’s CEO dismissing the importance of safety, while also firing individuals who raised safety concerns. Furthermore, the company circumvented maritime classification regulations because, by their own admission, the vessel would not even meet the most basic criteria for classification. Finally, there are the passengers, who looked at this project with all its glaring flaws and still willingly paid $250k each to get on board. There are more than a few people who don’t have anything resembling sympathy for those who died.

Slim Thug Slams OceanGate Victims

Rapper Slim Thug is one of those people. “Them people gone man. I don’t know what they was thinking about a billionaire should have had more common sense, and then you bring your son? That was double d*mb. I’m not sure what happened, but them people don’t deserve our sympathy they clearly on some d*mb shit. Quincy Jones is a music legend. His career dates back to the 1950s, when he toured Europe with Lionel Hampton. However, Jones is best known for his work as a cinematic score composer, iconic music producer, and veteran pillar of the music industry. This cinematic work includes classics like The Italian Job, The Wiz, and The Color Purple. Furthermore, Jones has three of the components of the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) crown. He won an Emmy for Roots in 1977, has 28 Grammys, and won a Tony for The Color Purple revival in 2016. While he has won a Humanitarian Award at the Oscars, he is 0-7 in main award nominations. His last Oscar nomination came in 1986 for The Color Purple, when he was nominated for three awards.

Jones has been a public figure for several decades now. Carson Daly went as far as to suggest that Jones become the Minister/Secretary of Culture under President Obama. The United States, along with Germany, are some of the only nations in the world that do not have a government-level office that focuses on culture. However, Jones made headlines on June 18 for much more serious, and worrying, reasons.

According to TMZ, Jones was briefly hospitalized after suffering an adverse reaction to food at his Los Angeles home. Jones called 911 after suffering a reaction and was accompanied to the hospital by paramedics for further testing. However, he was reportedly given the all-clear soon after arriving and was discharged on Saturday evening.

Furthermore, representatives for the 28-time Grammy winner told TMZ that the legendary producer never lost consciousness. Additionally, they said that Jones was in “great spirits” by the time he was discharged. Jones turned 90 this past March and his advanced age was part of the reason that additional care needed to be taken in this case. Stephen A. Smith Slams Ja Morant’s Suspension Apology

Ja Morant has been suspended for 25 games by the NBA. While the punishment for flashing a gun on Instagram Live feels light to some, Morant will be sidelined until at least early December. However, the 25-game suspension is in line with both what pundits expected and how the NBA has treated suspensions in recent years. Miles Bridges was suspended for 30 games in April after pleading no contest to felony domestic violence charges.

In the wake of the suspension announcement, Morant released a statement. “I’m spending the offseason and my suspension continuing to work on my own mental health and decision making. I’m also going to be training so that I’m ready to go when I can be back on the court. I know my teammates are going to hold it down and I’m so sorry I won’t be out there with you at the beginning of the season. I hope you’ll give me the chance to prove to you over time I’m a better man than what I’ve been showing you,” the statement read in part.

Stephen A. Doesn’t Buy Morant Apology

“Nobody believes you,” Stephen A. Smith began on First Take. “Nobody believes you. I don’t say that flippantly, I’m a fan of Ja Morant. It’s been a tough week for Boosie Badazz. The controversial lyricist was the only artist to show up in Broward County court to support YNW Melly amid his double murder trial. His presence wasn’t entirely surprising seeing as he previously beat similar accusations of his own. After a few days watching Boosie made it known that he’d like to try his hand at studying law. Shortly after sharing that message to his Instagram page, the father of eight was arrested by federal agents on Wednesday (June 14) outside of a court hearing in San Diego, California.

As HipHopDX notes, Boosie appeared before a judge regarding his charges from May. At the time he was filming a music video with Billy Three. During a traffic stop, police officers uncovered two handguns in his vehicle and booked him on person with felony convictions in possession of a firearm, concealed carry weapon in a vehicle, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and unlisted owner of a registered firearm. Those have since been dismissed, though it still remains unclear what the feds picked him up on this time. As the news continues to circulate online, reactions have been pouring in from all over – including a highly anticipated one from Charleston White.
