The venues of award shows have seen plenty of celebrity catfights over the years, but at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday (April 1) evening, we were impressed with how two rap divas in particular handled themselves. While sauntering down the red (well, yellow) carpet yesterday afternoon, both Latto and Ice Spicelooked stunning. The former showed off her thigh thighs in a pretty, deep red mini dress. Meanwhile, the redhead went with another all-black look, this time switching out her usually long, straight hair for some subtle waves.
In a video that’s making rounds on various blogs, we can see that the “Deli” and “Big Energy” hitmakers were in the same area at the same time, though it’s unclear if they actually saw each other. As Spice stops to pose for photos, a crowd can be heard screaming in excitement from beyond the barrier. As she turns to walk away, Latto comes into view, taking some snapshots before heading inside to mingle with other creatives.
Ice Spice’s Fans Make “Deli” Femcee Feel Their Love
Reactions to that on social media have been mixed so far, with some suggesting that Lil Mama would’ve been a better contender after channelling LeftEye in the 2013 Crazy Sexy Cool biopic. Regardless, Latto gave it her all as the iHeartRadio audience watched on. Other big moments last night included Beyonce accepting the Innovator Award from Stevie Wonder, as well as SZA taking home multiple trophies for her breathtaking sophomore LP, SOS.
Though she was calm when unexpectedly crossing paths with Ice Spice, Latto brought her signature “Big Energy” which we love so much to the stage when performing with TLC. In lieu of Lisa “LeftEye” Lopes no longer being with us, the 777 hitmaker stepped in to rap her bars in some of the girl group’s biggest hits. Read what social media users are saying about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
Benzino is the type of person who will never forget a feud. Overall, if you cross him, you can expect him to be a nuisance for the rest of your life. In fact, he shares that quality with none other than 50 Cent. If you were to see how Fif has been treating Diddy these days, you would understand exactly what we mean. That said, Benzino continues to be an interesting figure who has been a key builder in the hip-hop world. As the Editor of The Source, his influence was palpable, although it came with its fair share of beefs.
For instance, Benzino and Eminem have been going at each other’s necks for years. Furthermore, he has had issues with Joe Budden. This ultimately led to a rant on Instagram Live over the weekend, in which he fantasized about fighting both men in a boxing match. “Sleeves [Stevie J] and 50. My money on Sleeves all day. I know Sleeves will knock 50 out. I’ll knock Eminem out. 30 seconds into the round. Let’s just do it. Let’s get this bag. People want to see it,” Benzino theorized. “Shady and G-Unit versus the good guys. If you wanna throw Tony Yayo in there, we’ll get Peter Gunz. If you want to throw somebody else in, we’ll get Sisqo.”
Subsequently, he noted that he would also love to go up against Budden. “I would demolish him. I would beat the shit out of Eminem in a boxing match. There’s no question about it … I would love to fight Joe Budden. I’ll fight Joe Budden for free. I’ll do that for charity. [I can] break Joe Budden’s jaw for charity,” Benzino exclaimed. Whether or not he would really beat these two, remains to be seen. However, we doubt we will ever get to see that. Overall, they seem like they have better things to do.
Let us know what you think about a potential boxing match between Benzino, Eminem, and perhaps even Joe Budden, in the comments section down below. Do you think Benzino would win? Do you think Joe Budden and Eminem would even be interested? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Drake and Futureare reportedly beefing right now. Overall, this became clear following the release of We Don’t Trust You. Of course, this new album from Metro Boomin and Future is expected to go number one next week. Furthermore, the track “Like That” with Kendrick Lamar is about to become a number-one song. This is significant considering the fact that it contains a scathing diss towards both Drake and J. Cole. It is yet another example of the hit-making abilities possessed by Kendrick, Metro, and Future.
As it pertains to the Drake and Future beef, numerous theories have been going around online. For instance, there have been rumblings that the two are beefing over a woman. While Metro Boomin was quick to dispel this rumor, it has continued to run rampant. So much so that the woman at the center of all of this has decided to speak out. In the video below, you can see that she decided to go live on Instagram. Throughout the clip, she notes that no one is beefing over her and that she isn’t worth obsessing over. Moreover, she noted that her boyfriend thinks all of this is very funny.
At the end of the day, rumors can tend to run wild on the internet. People love running with a narrative, and if that narrative goes unchecked, then it will just continue to grow. This is especially true when the story involves two of the biggest names in hip-hop. That said, fans are now awaiting a potential response from Drake. Whether or not he actually goes through with one, still remains to be seen.
Let us know what you think about the ongoing feud between Drake and Future, in the comments section down below. Whose side are you taking in all of this? Do you hope that they will reconcile? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.
Rap fans seem to be witnessing the start of a civil war within the game, and a lot of affected parties are starting to remark how overblown and dramatic it’s being presented as on social media. Moreover, OVO Chubbs -– Drake’s security guard, close friend, and much more -– recently commented on a post that reported on his partner’s current beef with a couple of opponents. Kendrick Lamar, Metro Boomin, and supposedly NAV, Future, Rick Ross, and others are against The Boy here. However, with just a simple crying-laughing emoji to offer, it seems like Chubbs is relatively unbothered about all this.
What’s more is that, given Drake’s recent speech during last night’s (Sunday, March 24) Big As The What? tour stop with J. Cole -– who’s also caught smoke in this beef -– it seems like he’s unbothered by this, too. “I got my head held high, my back straight, I’m ten f**king toes down,” he told the crowd. “And I know no matter what there’s not another n***a that could ever f**k with me on this Earth.” This seemed more of a direct reference to Kendrick Lamar asserting the hip-hop crown, but could also apply to other spats.
One of these, fans think, is Drake’s rift with NAV, as the latter seemed to unfollow the former on Instagram, something that Rick Ross also apparently chose as his stance. While it’s not really clear if this actually coincides with the release of Future and Metro Boomin’s new album, that’s still the prevailing narrative online. NAV is likely loyal to Metro Boomin, who has been supposedly beefing with Drizzy for a while now, as they have a collab tape together. But it’s also quite odd to see so many supposedly tight relationships crumble.
As such, a lot of fans are still calling cap on the whole affair, either it not being as deep as people think or it being impossible that the “Scholarships” duo is at odds, since Metro Boomin seemed to shut this down recently. But from what this beef story has held so far, it seems like anything is possible. Maybe we won’t ever get direct confirmation on these conflicts, but they definitely paint the rap world under a different context. On that note, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Drake.
Well, about 54 hours after the world heard Kendrick Lamar on “Like That,” Drake decided to speak out following the shots he caught on that diss track. However, it’s not a response at all, but rather a series of snaps on Instagram from his Big As The What? tour with J. Cole, who also got heat on Kendrick’s verse. “I ain’t picking up I’m in Turks lil baby,” The Boy captioned the post, quoting a line off of NAV’s “Turks” with Travis Scott and Gunna. Moreover, this is particularly interesting because Internet sleuths discovered that NAV seems to have unfollowed him on IG, which is a very interesting development.
Furthermore, one possible explanation for this is NAV’s loyalty to Metro Boomin, who has his own beef with Drake. They have a collab tape together and multiple other collaborations, so it would make sense that he “picks a side” here as Metro and Future have promoted heavily for their own collab album, the brand-new WE DON’T TRUST YOU. This is where Kendrick Lamar chose to take shots at Drizzy and J. Cole, and lines up with Fewtch’s alleged rift in his relationship with OVO. There are a lot of conflicting loyalties here amid a group that used to be very tight, so it’s a hard call to make either way.
Regardless, it seems like Drake and J. Cole are in no particular rush to respond, or else they would’ve done something for their Saturday night (March 23) Big As The What? tour stop in Florida, their first since “Like That” dropped. Instead, they invited Lil Wayne to perform alongside them, as they previously announced for a number of upcoming shows. Aubrey Graham’s caption here could also suggest that he’s living unbothered, partying out in Turks and Caicos while the world waits for an answer to Kendrick Lamar. But with the “First Person Shooter” duo’s competitive spirit in mind, and all the smoke they’ve been foaming at the mouth for, it’s likely that we’ll get some type of response soon.
Meanwhile, what do you think about this whole debacle? What about your thoughts on how other media personalities like DJ Akademikes are reacting to this beef and breaking it down with their own theories? Whatever the case, drop your thoughts down in the comments section below. Also, for more news and the latest updates on Drake, keep checking in with HNHH.
There’s nothing quite like hearing a hit song blaring over the speakers and looking over to see the artist who made the song partying to it along with you. Moreover, that’s exactly what folks at a strip club witnessed when Latto came into the venue, accompanied by City Girls member Yung Miami. They threw stacks of cash and rapped along to the former’s 2024 hit “Sunday Service,” and many folks took particular note of Caresha being alongside the 777 artist. That’s because a lot of people see this track as a marker of loyalty, given that many fans think that it’s a pointed diss towards Ice Spice.
Furthermore, the “cold war” between her and Latto’s been a hot topic of conversation for some time now, with things really becoming a narrative this year. Their back-and-forth singles (which fans think included subliminals at each other), plus some apparent references in their promotion, led many to believe there’s animosity between them. Whether or not there actually are any issues with Ice Spice doesn’t matter, because that’s the marketing and public narrative that both the artists and the fans are running with right now. As such, this is a myth becoming reality in a pretty weird way.
Latto Seems To Earn Yung Miami’s Loyalty In Ice Spice Feud As They Party To “Sunday Service”
Of course, it’s entirely possible that this feud between Latto and Ice Spice is legit, and not just the product of misogynistic PR wanting to pit femcees against each other. But Yung Miami’s inclusion in all this is curious, because if fans’ conspiracy theories are to be believed, then the Nicki Minaj affiliate through JT should in theory be a Spice supporter. But it goes to show that things are never that simple, and that no artist should be immediately prohibited from fraternizing with another based on petty competition or narratives. Also, the City Girl’s got other fish to fry in the beef section.
Meanwhile, it seems like the “Put It On Da Floor” lyricist is having a lot of fun as of late, as she also enjoyed a club outing with Rubi Rose. Maybe they’ll collab again in the future and we can add more weaving webs in this femcee beef universe. Or just, you know, focus on the competitive releases and the artistry itself. Either way, for more news and updates on Latto, Yung Miami, and Ice Spice, log back into HNHH.
Meek Mill shared his opinion on Kanye West in a post on Twitter, on Tuesday, following their past feuds. Meek says Ye is “smart” but “off a lil” and reflected on listening to his music in prison. Their relationship soured when the Philadelphia rapper condemned West’s “White Lives Matter” merchandise and in turn, West dissed him during an interview on Drink Champs.
“Random but: I think Yeezy smart but be off a lil but because I bought like 17 pair of Yeezys since we been trading rap shots … and I listened to your music to get me through my bid you a super legend I was more confused of why you was going so hard to go at me in the beginning …” Meek wrote in one post. Following up, he added: “When you see us going at it it’s always rap beef we know each other personally and would never let it go to far! It’s a bloody sport gotta be rough wit it.”

In response to the posts, many of Meek’s followers made jokes referencing the recent rumors that he was involved in a sexual relationship with Diddy. Lil Rod vaguely alluded to the rapper in his sexual misconduct lawsuit against the disgraced Bad Boy mogul, last month.

Celebrities clashing on social media is nothing new, it’s been happening for years. In the music industry particularly, there have been many feuds over the years, and many of them are ongoing. Right now, one of the most interesting social media beefs is the one between Yung Miami and DJ Akademiks. The two have been going at it on and off for a while, and it’s pretty heated right now.
Before December 2022, there was no bad blood between Yung Miami and DJ Akademiks. Even if there was, nothing either of them had said or done made it seem like they had beef with each other. However, that drastically changed after Diddy shared on X that he had welcomed his seventh child. At the time, Yung Miami was reportedly in a relationship with the entertainment mogul. Following the news of Diddy’s new child, DJ Akademiks was one of the many people on social media who had things to say. However, Ak stirred up trouble when he involved Yung Miami while addressing the topic. “Yung Miami is like Diddy’s side chick,” he said in a YouTube video uploaded to his channel on December 12, 2022.
Soon after, Yung Miami took to X to respond to DJ Akademiks. “I’M NOBODY SIDE BITCH LETS JUST MAKE THIS CLEAR ON THIS GOOD MONDAY! I don’t come 2nd to no bitch!” the rapper wrote. In another tweet, Miami called Ak out directly, “Akademiks my name ain’t d*ck so keep it out your mouth!!! You the type of N*gga my uncle doing life sentences for B*TCH A** N*GGA!!!!!” The two continued to go back and forth taking shots at each other on X. In one tweet, DJ Akademiks doubled down and called Yung Miami a side chick again. On her part, Yung Miami didn’t back down and responded to Ak at every turn. After an hour-long exchange, the two finally called it in for the day, but it wasn’t too long before they were at each other’s necks again.
Following the heated exchange between Yung Miami and DJ Akademiks, Diddy took to X to clear the air. On December 13, 2022, he tweeted, “@yungmiami305 is not my side chick. Never has been, never will be. She’s very important and special to me, and I don’t play about my Shawty Wop. I don’t discuss things on the internet and I will not start today.”
Subsequently, on December 15, 2022, Akademiks shared via Twitch livestream that he received a DM from Diddy and that he would stop targeting Yung Miami. During the livestream, the Internet personality said, “She a queen, I love her. She not no side chick no more.” While Ak didn’t outright apologize to Miami, his decision to stop hammering at her made peace reign shortly.
Several months passed without either party speaking on each other’s names. However, in May, Yung Miami fired a shot at DJ Akademiks. Yung Miami’s interview on The Jason Lee Show was uploaded to YouTube on May 3, 2023. During the “Name Drop” segment, Ak was mentioned, and Miami referred to him as “ba**y boy,” an offensive slur. “The problem that I have with him is like, he like to pick on females, like, I don’t think that’s cool,” she continued.
Afterward, via another livestream on May 30, 2023, DJ Akademiks called Yung Miami out. “Yung Miami is, to me, a clown. She’s a one-trick pony. She is not talented to do anything else. The only active talent is to be like, ‘Yo, I’m pimping these dudes out.’ While you come out in interviews and you were crying. You [told] Diddy to DM me. ‘Yo, please, he’s calling me a side chick,’” Akademiks said. After finishing with Miami, Ak then addressed Diddy, explaining why he was taking shots at her. “Diddy, the only reason I’m going back in on her, I heard her say on some show, she tried to call me a very naughty word,” he said. Concluding his rant about Yung Miami, the podcaster said, “Diddy… respect to you but check your girl.” According to XXL Mag, Yung Miami left an indirect response to DJ Akademiks. In a since-deleted comment under The Neighborhood Talk’s Instagram post, Yung Miami wrote, “ba**y boy.”
October 2023: DJ Akademiks Calls Yung Miami Out Again
During an October 2023 interview with VLAD TV, Akademiks addressed Miami calling him a gay slur. He accused the rapper of perpetuating homophobia and claimed that people like her are largely responsible for the level of homophobia in society. “I believe a lot of Black women is why the levels of homophobia is what it is,” he said. “Those people who usually have gay friends, right? ‘Cause you know, women always have a gay best friend. Let them get mad at a straight dude, they’ll try to belittle you by calling you gay.”
The gay best friend Akademiks was referring to was Saucy Santana, who, following the interview, took shots at him. Soon after Akademiks’ interview, Saucy Santana addressed the situation, posting a video on social media. “Akademiks, you keep talking about what the fuck Caresha said to you, but how she feel about you, is how she feel about you. Me being her best friend, it don’t have nothing to fucking do with me. In the hood, and in a lot of urban cultures, when you see boys that are acting feminine, that are being messy, that are being extra and doing f*g sh*t, that’s what you address them as. Even as me being a gay man, I don’t move like a f*g. And it’s a lot of other gay boys that are feminine or whatever, but everybody don’t move like f*gs. You move like a f*g,” Saucy Santana said.
November 2023: DJ Akademiks Fires At Yung Miami For Silence On Diddy’s Allegations
While the allegations against Diddy are a hot topic now, they have been piling up since 2023. The record executive was hit with a lawsuit by Cassie on November 16, 2023. Subsequently, on November 20, 2023, DJ Akademiks took to X to share his thoughts on the matter and unsurprisingly included Yung Miami. “Yung Miami loud ass ain’t tweet in 4 days… cmon.. dont make it this obvious lOl,” he wrote.
January 2024: A Diss Track And Another Social Media Exchange
Megan Thee Stallion is not the only femcee who rang in the new year with a diss track. On January 14, 2024, Yung Miami teased a then-unnamed new song that would soon be released. In the preview of the song that was shared, the City Girl rapped, “Akademiks, you a b*tch, why you speaking on women?”
After DJ Akademiks got wind of the post, another social media spat ensued between him and Yung Miami. “When ya n***a that piss in ya face finna respond tho? U been diddy side b*tch til now… u ain’t claiming no more. Where ya sign at?” he wrote. Their spat went on from January 16 into the early hours of January 17, 2024.
February 2024: Yung Miami Releases “50/50”
On February 9, 2024, Yung Miami released 50/50, the track where she disses DJ Akademiks. It is her first solo release since 2021’s “Rap Freaks.” Explicitly, she goes in on Akademiks on the song, spitting venomous bars about the Internet personality. “N**ga d**k small, probably why his balls so pissy/ Meat puller on your knees, how you standin’ on the business?/ Akademiks, you a b**ch, why you speakin’ on women?/ Yeah, leave him alone/ Mr. Pocket P**sy, what you beatin’ on?/ You see this face, I ain’t one of them b**ches you can hang up on,” she raps. Evidently, the feud between Yung Miami and DJ Akademiks won’t come to an end anytime soon.
The NLE Choppa and Blueface beef is a hard one to call these days, mostly because the former doesn’t seem to be taking things too seriously. Also, we have to consider that the latter is currently in jail at press time, so there’s not much opportunity to really respond. Moreover, Choppa has a new track with Lil Mabu to promote, which takes shots at his California rap rival and includes a lookalike of his on-and-off-again boo Chrisean Rock. In fact, the Memphis MC even got a fake face tattoo of her likeness, and now, he returned to social media with another troll for the two.
Furthermore, NLE Choppa wants to start the “Get Rid Of All Bluefaces” challenge, and uploaded a video of himself dumping hundred-dollar bills (“blue faces”) down the toilet. In addition, he made fun of folks actually believing that he got a face tattoo of Chrisean Rock. But one of the most curious parts of this particular post is that the Cottonwood 2 artist advocated for Blueface’s freedom and said that his “Shotta Flow 7” remix with Lil Mabu is not a diss track. Seems pretty odd and backhanded, but he’s making it very clear that this is mostly just a social media clout chase for fun and nothing more.
Still, we don’t think that Blueface is feeling too happy about this considering their previous beef and his inability to respond. For those unaware, the former collaborators saw a rift in their relationship when Blue tried to make an advance on Choppa’s baby mama, and they started dissing each other on songs. A boxing challenge floated around but never manifested, and even their mothers got involved. Overall, it seems all blown up for the Internet, but at least everyone involved seemed to keep a grounded sense of humor throughout.
Meanwhile, what do you think about this whole beef situation and its conflicting messages? Can we really say “Shotta Flow 7” isn’t a diss when the lyrics take aim at Blue and one of the actresses is a dead ringer for Chrisean? However you may feel, drop your thoughts down in the comments section below. Also, come back to HNHH for the latest news and more updates on NLE Choppa and Blueface.
2023 was a strong year for female rap in terms of lyricism, but so far, 2024 has been mostly about the drama. As for the men in the music industry, they’re not entirely innocent either. In particular, Eminem and Benzino’s decades-old beef is rearing its ugly head in the media again. The former threw shots at the latter on “Doomsday Pt. 2” a few weeks ago, suggesting that the former head of The Source magazine is a member of the LGBTQ+ community while insulting his appearance.
After taking time to write his “Vulturius” response (with some admitted help), and arguing with Joe Budden, we saw Benzino get in his feeling on Drink Champs. More recently, he spoke with The Art of Dialogue about more of Eminem’s work – the 2004 posthumous Tupac LP, Loyal to the Game, layering the late MC’s raps over the Detroit native’s beats. “I think the s**t that he did with ‘Pac was horrible,” Benzino declared of the album.
Benzino Continues Eminem Hate Train on The Art of Dialogue
“I think he should have never had ‘Pac’s lyrics to do it. I understand at the time, Afeni [Shakur], maybe it was a money thing. He probably paid for that, because that there was the closest that he would be to ‘Pac,” the 58-year-old speculated. But that was another insult on our culture and community, what he did with that album. That was trash… He should have never got the okay to play with ‘Pac’s voice like that, and his legacy.”
Besides Loyal to the Game, another Eminem throwback has been running through Benzino’s mind over the past few days. Amid the rappers’ resurfaced feud, the latter pulled out an old image of Slim Shady in cosplay as Britney Spears, which certainly has hip-hop heads talking this week. Read all about that at the link below, and let us know what you think of the posthumous Tupac LP all these years later in the comments.
