Boosie Badazz Would Take R. Kelly Over Michael Jackson In A Verzuz

Boosie Badazz is once again sparking controversy with new statements. This time in a recent Instagram live, he discussed how R. Kelly’s hit catalog can stand up to anyone else. “Nobody got more hits than R. Kelly. You gone’ have to put him in a Verzus with Spotify,” the controversial rapper began. Where fans really began to question his take was when he brought up Michael Jackson. “Hit for hit, he would blow Michael Jackson,” Boosie claims. “How many Michael Jackson songs you know and how many R Kelly songs you know? Aint nobody got more hits than Kellz. Y’all don’t wanna keep it real ‘cause he in the position he in.”

The claim sparked controversy for a number of reasons. Almost any discussion of R. Kelly is bound to spark controversy due to the extent of the allegations against him and the severity of them. But during the livestream even more fans were making the case that Michael Jackson, while controversial in his own right, is the more definitive hitmaker. Fans flexed commercial accomplishments Jackson had achieved as examples of why he would win in a Verzuz battle.

Boosie Badazz has long advocated for both Kelly’s music and leniency for his crimes. He called for a lowering of Kelly’s 30-year sentence claiming that some people only 20 years for murder. While he doesn’t apologize for Kelly’s actions he believes the rapper can help make a difference if he’s released.

Boosie is also involved in some legal trouble at the moment. Yesterday he learned that a judge refused to dismiss recent gun charges, meaning they will head toward a trial. The charges date back to an arrest for felony gun possession that took place in June of this year. It’s only the most recent in a decades-long series of legal battles for the rapper. R. Kelly Motions for Judge’s Assistance After His Friend Was Blocked From Visiting Him in Prison

R. Kelly is calling out his longtime friend being blocked from visiting him at FCI Butner prison. Kelly states his friend and former business manager Derrel McDavid attempted to visit him, but the warden would not allow it.

McDavid was a co-defendant with R. Kelly in his Illinois criminal case. The charge they jointly faced was dismissed.

According to Radar Online, McDavid was accused of coordinating hush money payments before the 2008 trial.

A motion filed in court reads, “Mr. McDavid and Mr. Kelly have maintained a longstanding friendship and business relationship spanning decades before Mr. Kelly’s incarceration.”

The warden declined the visit stating McDavid was a co-defendant. Representatives for Kelly added, “FCI Butner’s denial of visitation was inconsistent with Bureau of Prison (“BOP”) regulations and policies, patently unreasonable, and advanced no legitimate penological interest.”

He added, “FCI Butner’s determination is patently unreasonable, capricious, and inconsistent with the directives and policies of the federal regulations. There is absolutely no risk—let alone a reasonable one—that a visitation by Mr. McDavid would create a threat to the security and good order of the FCI Butner.”

Previously, audio from prison has R. Kelly referencing the harsh conditions of his prison. In the audio, Kelly stated he deserves to die of natural causes. The singer is reportedly battling blood clots in his legs.

“I don’t deserve to die because somebody miscommunicated or somebody took a guess at what’s going on with my leg. I’m not supposed to die this way,” R. Kelly said. “You’re not even supposed to take a chance on that.”

He added, “And that’s why I’m speaking out on this because I’m scared for my life in that area. And who wouldn’t be? They treat animals better than that.”

One of R. Kelly’s victims, Faith Rodgers, who accused the singer of failing to disclose a sexually transmitted disease before sleeping with her, is demanding the jailed singer turn over medical information. Back in 2018, Rodgers sued the convicted singer in New York court. In her lawsuit, Rodgers said she met Kelly in 2017 after one of his shows in Texas. She was 19-years old at the time.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Rogers, who sued Kelly in 2018, asked a judge to help her obtain the information.

The victim wants Kelly to answer questions under oath about the date they met and how often they engaged in sexual relations. Further, she wants him to turn over a list of any financial institutions he has accounts in.

Rodgers also wants him to make a list of all credit cards he used from 2017 to 2019. The victim’s list of demands asks Kelly to state all the names of any medical professionals he used, state each and every hospital or clinic that he was a patient of from January 2017 to January 2019.

Further, she asked Kelly to admit he failed to tell her about his STD before having sex with her and that he forced her to engage in sexual acts without her consent.

Cam’ron Likens Chad Ochocino To R. Kelly In Scathing Rant

Cam’ron and Ma$e have rekindled their friendship as of late. Overall, this has led to some incredible content in the form of It Is What It Is. This is a sports talk show that completely flips the debate format on its head. Although they may not be professional journalists, their commentary is still hilarious and yes, it is also insightful. They bring an irreverent approach to the sports talk world which is something that has truly been missing. Cam doesn’t care who he offends, and it leads to some amazing moments.

Recently, Cam’ron went on a bit of a rant about how It Is What It Is is the future of sports television. Subsequently, a whole bunch of podcasters and hosts were in their feelings. Among them was Chad Ochocinco, who took to Twitter and wrote, “Cam you my man but once i finish fasting & get back in front of the camera I’m gone dominate that space [fencer emoji].” Although Ochocinco was quite nice in his respond, Cam opted to take a sinister approach in his response. In the video down below, Cam brings up Ochocinco’s previous assault allegations, all while accusing him of being in rehab.

R. Kelly Has Reportedly Been Ordered To Give Over $500,000 In Songwriting Royalties To His Victims

R. Kelly has reportedly been ordered to hand over more than $500,000 in royalties to the courts. According to a report from HipHopDX, Kelly will be required to disburse the money to his victims.

The hip-hop outlet reportedly obtained documents indicating that the United States Court in the Northern District of Illinois issued a third-party citation to Universal Music Group back in May in order to discover assets. The terms of the citation indicated that Universal Music Group would have to disclose how much money in outstanding royalties Kelly still needed to be paid for songwriting.

The courts reportedly learned that Universal Music Group still owes Kelly $567,444.19 in unpaid royalties, though Kelly himself will not see a cent of that money.

According to Radar Online, the royalties will be used to pay Kelly’s victims, who have reportedly only received about $27,000.

Almost a year ago, Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Back in February, he was also sentenced to 20 years in prison for child pornography. He is currently serving both sentences concurrently in Butner Federal Prison in North Carolina.

Kelly’s crimes have been the subject of various documentaries, including a Lifetime docuseries called Surviving R. Kelly.

R. Kelly Theororized About Jay-Z Trying To Kill Him While In Jail, Former Cellmate Claims

Though he’s still seen as one of the most influential artists to touch R&B by many lovers of the genre, it’s hard to deny the disappointment of R. Kelly’s downfall. It’s been an especially rough few years for the vocalist. He’s set to remain behind bars for the near future due to his heinous crimes against Black girls and women. We haven’t heard much from the embattled star directly. However, on Friday (June 9), his former cellmate, Ronnie Bo, spoke with Hip-Hop News Uncensored about what his time locked up with Kelly was like.

According to Bo, the “I Believe I Can Fly” hitmaker had a few theories about one past collaborator. Specifically, he believe that Jay-Z may have been involved in a murder conspiracy. “He felt like JAY-Z was kind of insecure because, at the time, R. Kelly was technically bigger than him,” Kelly’s cellmate told the outlet. “He felt like [during] one of the shows when they was in Madison Square Garden [in 2004] prior to that event, he said days before the event that he was getting death threats that he felt was coming from JAY-Z.” At the time, both artists were touring together. They had just dropped The Best of Both Worlds in 2002, and Unfinished Business two years later.

“I don’t know if this is going to sound outrageous… He felt like JAY-Z was trying to get him killed for whatever reason,” Ronnie added. During their joint tour, the convicted sex offender left the stage during a Madison Square Garden show as he believed men were pointing guns at him. On his way back out, he was infamously pepper-sprayed by Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith, a close friend of Hov’s. This ultimately resulted in the end of his and Kelly’s complicated working relationship.
