Lizzo Clarifies She’s Not Quitting Music, Calls It “The Joy Of My Life”

Lizzo has clarified that she’s not quitting music despite her recent headline-grabbing post on Instagram. Instead, she intended to imply that she’s done giving negative comments about her on the internet any attention. In the post, she had been venting about dealing with bullying on social media and exclaimed “I QUIT” at the end in all caps.

“When I say I quit, I mean quit giving any negative energy attention,” she explained. “What I’m not gonna quit is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting the people… In no way, shape, or form am I the only person who is experiencing that negative voice that seems to be louder than the positive. If I can just send one person the inspiration or motivation to stand up for themselves and say they quit letting negative people win, negative comments win, then I’ve done even more than I could have hoped for.”

Lizzo Goes On Explosive Rant About Her Haters, Ends It By Saying “I QUIT”

A running theme that has permeated throughout the career of Lizzo is backlash. The Detroit, Michigan vocalist has been one of the biggest stars in the music industry for the last few years. Almost everyone knows that fame is a good enough reason for the public to say negative things about you. However, the criticism really has not revolved around her music. It has had more to do with her severe sexual harassment and hostile work environment allegations from her ex-dancers. Furthermore, there is a large audience, which includes conservative political figure Candace Owens, that is against behavior in public. All of these reasons could be factors in Lizzo recent rant in which she said, “I QUIT.”

The “About Damn Time” artist has been holding back from really speaking her mind it seems, as Lizzo unleashed on her haters. According to TMZ, Lizzo did this via Instagram story last night, shortly after people were upset at her for performing at Joe Biden’s fundraiser amid the aforementioned allegations. The event was held at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City with the other performers being Queen Latifah, Ben Platt, and more. Lizzo explosive message reads, “I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views… being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look… I didn’t sign up for this s***… I QUIT.”

Is Lizzo Signing Off For Good?

She also feels that, “the world doesn’t want me in it,” and that all she wants to do is “make music and make people happy.” There are definitely a few ways to assess these comments from Lizzo. She could be saying “I QUIT” to get off social media, or at least take a break from it. Another way to view it is that she could be done trying to please the critics and just live her life. Or, the most extreme meaning would be that she is done with music. There will certainly be more to come, so be sure to stick around.

What are your thoughts on Lizzo saying “I QUIT” on social media? Do you think this has been building up for some time, or because of recent events? Mase Reveals Whether Or Not He Regrets Quitting Rap At His Peak

It’s no secret that Mase’s career has seen many pivots, but according to him, he doesn’t regret a single one. During a recent episode of It Is What It Is, the Jacksonville native reflected on his decision to step back from the rap game in the late 90s when he was at his peak. He went an unexpected route, opting to go to college and eventually becoming an ordained minister.

During the show, he was asked whether or not he still believes he made the right decision to quit when he did. He explained that while it may not have made sense to many at the time, looking back he can see that it worked out in his favor. Mase Thinks He Made The Right Decision

“Everything now that we see playing out was all the things I escaped — the car, the Shyne, the Loon, Puff Daddy, the Craig Mack, the Biggie Smalls — so even though I made those decisions and it cost me money, that’s why I got with Killa and they gave me the money back. I didn’t lose no money,” he described. “Destiny.”

“See, that’s why it’s destiny,” he told someone off-camera. “You asked me the right question, we at the right place. Rod Wave Seemingly Quits Music In Latest Social Media Rants Amid Beef With Boosie Badazz

The beef between Rod Wave and Boosie Badazz continues to get spicier and spicier by the hour it seems now. This all began a couple of days ago when the Louisiana rapper called out the Florida R&B and rap star for biting off of one of his older tracks. In fact, it landed on Boosie’s 2010 record Incarcerated, and was called “Long Journey.” Rod has the same name on his latest commercially successful record, Nostalgia.

Boosie has been furious about all of this saying a lawsuit is in order. On top of that, he has also been in the studio cooking up a diss track for him, including anyone else who has borrowed from him. He is sick and tired of getting love but no compensation for his work. Rod Wave has replied to him saying he does not need to be getting lawyers involved and he would pay him as long as it is nothing too outrageous. However, it seems the soulful singer has had enough of the criticism.

In a Twitter (X) rant, he apparently has quit music. Now, this could be real, but more than likely, it is a byproduct of tensions being really high between the two artists. Nonetheless, here is what he had to say about all of the sample stealing. The tweets go in the order. They seem to be deleted, but they read, “I ain’t never stole s*** 5 platinum albums find u a hobby f*** n****.” The next one says, “F*** y’all I did wat I came ta do I ain’t dropping s*** else.” Finally, Rod goes, “Jus cuz youn know bout da original song mean I stole it? U dumb b****.” A lot of fans are already joking about it, with one saying he will be singing about this on his next album.
