JT Says Nobody Can Compare To Beyoncé: “Not A Soul”

2022 was another busy year for the City Girls. Although they didn’t drop a full-length project, they still managed to stay relevant.

Dropping two successful singles, “Top Notch” with Fivio Foreign and “Good Love” with Usher, the rap duo made it clear that hey aren’t going anywhere.

In August, they also made an appearance on DJ Khaled’s “BILLS PAID” alongside Latto. The song served as a single to the record producer’s thirteenth studio album, GOD DID.

One artist who had a monstrous year yet again was none other than Beyoncé. Dropping her dance-infused album, RENAISSANCE in July, the Houston native was effective in continuing her streak as one of the most dominant artists of the 2000s.

As a result, she appeared all over the Billboard charts once again. Shortly following its release, all 16 tracks from the album landed on the Hot 100. One half of the City Girls, JT, took to her Twitter account yesterday (December 13) to share her thoughts on the “Crazy In Love” singer’s greatness.

The tweet came in response to a post asking the Twitter-verse who, out of all the new singers, could pull off Beyoncé’s performance for her 2004 hit, “Check On It.” The 30-year-old was to-the-point with her response. “Not a soul, next,” she wrote.

Of course, the fellow performers are no strangers to one another. Just last year, the pair shared a bonding moment together at a Fourth of July party reportedly thrown by Michael Rubin.

While taking to Twitter the following day to detail a conversation between the two, JT couldn’t contain her excitement.

“I love Beyoncé if I didn’t feel like I made it no other day tonight I did! She told me I was beautiful & she’s proud & to keep going! God look At my life….I came from nothing at all,” she wrote.

The “Act Up” rapper was certainly appreciative of the kind words.

What do you think? Do any of the new pop singers compare to Beyoncé in your mind? Sound off in the comments below.

Kelsey Harris Granted Immunity In Tory Lanez Trial

Judge David Herriford has granted immunity to Kelsey Harris in the ongoing trial for Tory Lanez regarding the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Harris appeared in court to testify on Wednesday.

During her testimony, she initially asserted her 5th Amendment right until immunity was granted. This was done despite the District Attorney claiming they had no plans of prosecuting her.

Regardless, Judge Herriford admitted her concerns were “legitimate.”

On the stand, Harris described the trial as a “triggering situation,” adding that she doesn’t “care to be here today.”

“This is happening in the face of a million people, my name being thrown around, lies,” she said. “I didn’t ask to be in this.”

She later addressed public accusations about her being the one to shoot Megan. “I mean, it’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous,” she said of the rumors.

“Kelsey spent a little less than 40 minutes on the stand, saying a lot of her memory of the party was ‘blurry’ because of alcohol consumption,” LA Times reporter James Queally reported of the testimony.

Kelsey Harris also reportedly described Megan as acting out & being drunk at a party before the shooting.

The trial between Lanez and Megan began on Monday. Lanez is facing three felony counts and could face 22 years in prison if convicted. The charges stem from a 2020 incident where he is accused of shooting Megan.

In the last two days, Lanez has denied being the one to pull the trigger at the time. Megan also testified in court on Tuesday, detailing the night in question from her perspective.

Ashanti Reacts To Possibility Of Getting Back Together With Nelly

Could Ashanti and Nelly be getting back together? Earlier this month, the former celebrity couple were sparking rumors of a potential reunion.

It all started when the pair appeared on stage together while at Power 98.3 and Power 96.1‘s “Under The Mistletoe” concert.

An intimate performance of their collaborative 2008 hit, “Body On Me” set social media ablaze. Some fans began expressing their hope for the duo to rekindle their love.

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, she confirmed that she’s been seeing all the comments. Of course, the late night TV host went on to ask the “Foolish” singer about the possibility after a pair of fans brought the topic up while appearing virtually.

“I saw a lot of comments. I mean, my reaction was, ‘wow!’ It was a lot of comments and people wanting that. What I will say is we’re in a better place. We’re cool now. We had some conversations, so it’s cool” she insists.

After Cohen blatantly asks if the reunion will happen, Ashanti chokes on her words. However, it seems as though it at least won’t be happening now. The power couple spent over a decade together before eventually calling it quits in 2014.

In other recent news, Nelly has been receiving backlash for some old videos resurfacing online.

In a number of clips, the Country Grammar artist is seen singing inappropriately to evidently underage girls. Furthermore, he’s also seen grabbing the hair of two underage fans in two separate videos.

In one of the videos, the 48-year-old even attempts to hold the young girl’s hand. Obviously, this is met with uncertainty and visual discomfort. It’s still unclear as to why these videos just recently began to circulate on social media.

Do you think the former couple will ever put their differences aside and get back together? Comment your thoughts down below and stay tuned to HNHH for the latest pop culture updates.

Nick Fuentes Claims Kanye Was Going To Meet With Putin to Free Brittney Griner

Nick Fuentes claims that Kanye West intended to meet with Vladimir Putin to discuss freeing Brittney Griner. He argues Joe Biden caught wind of the meeting and rushed through a deal to free the WNBA star himself instead.

“Earlier this month, Ye was invited to meet with Vladimir Putin in Moscow to secure the release of Brittney Griner. He signed that paper for public release to show his intention to broker the deal,” Fuentes wrote on social media. “There is a good chance the White House agreed to the prisoner swap in order to prevent this from happening!”

Conservative student and supporter of US President Donald Trump, Nick Fuentes, answers question during an interview with Agence France-Presse in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 9, 2016. The Biden administration was able to negotiate Griner’s release in a prisoner swap with arms dealer Viktor Bout. Griner was in Russia since February after customs officials found hash oil in her luggage.

Later, Fuentes added that West and his team were also going to appear on Adin Ross’ Twitch page. However, the streamer turned them down. He blamed Ross’ lack of interest on Twitch and “Jewish groups.”

“Our team discussed a potential collaboration with Ye and Adin Ross last week,” Fuentes wrote. “But we did not schedule or confirm anything. There was no ‘cancellation.’”

Fuentes added that it would’ve been the “biggest stream of his career.”

Iconic Selena Outfit On Display At Smithsonian National Museum of American History

On top of Selena’s influential contributions to music, something else her fans continue to admire her for is her flashy and expressive outfits.

As a result of her fashion sense, one of her most famous fits is now part of a new exhibit at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

The “Entertainment Nation” exhibition serves as the museum’s very first exploration dedicated entirely to entertainment history. Along with the late singer’s iconic outfit, around 200 other objects will feature in the display.

Selena wore the fit that the museum is honoring in 1994 while performing at the Tejano Music Awards in her home state of Texas that year. Both the leather jacket she was wearing and the satin brasserie that she paired it with will be shown at the gallery.

The singer’s family is responsible for donating the pair of items to the museum four years later, in 1998.

1994 proved to be a busy year for the late American Tejano singer. She went on to win Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for Selena Live! Additionally, she also won Female Entertainer of the Year.

The “Amor Prohibido” singer was tragically murdered the following year by Yolanda Saldívar. Saldívar was a former nurse who went on to become the manager of Selena’s boutiques the year prior.

Complaints about her management style consequently followed. Furthermore, she was caught embezzling $30,000 from fan clubs and the boutique by forging checks.

As a result, this led to Selena’s parents confronting Saldívar about the situation, leading her to fatally shoot the singer in retaliation.

In 2020, the Quintanilla family announced a commemorative concert for the 25th anniversary of her death. The celebration of life took place on May 9, 2020, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Last year, the world was witness to a dramatized scene of Beyoncé seeing Selena at a mall as a kid. The scene comes from the Netflix feature, Selena: The Series, documenting the late singer’s rise to fame.

Fans began questioning the authenticity of the event. In an old interview, the “Crazy In Love” singer insists that it did take place. After all, they are from the same state.

Finally, the exhibit’s doors officially opened last Friday (December 9). If you’re in Washington, be sure to check it out.

Ticketmaster May Face Millions In Fines Following Bad Bunny Concert Backlash

Hundred of fans were disappointed to learn that they were denied entry to Bad Bunny’s Mexico City concert over the weekend. After Ticketmaster blamed the issue on an “unprecedented number of fake tickets,” the brand is now looking at millions of dollars in fines.

According to Variety, director of the Federal Attorney’s Office for Consumers in Mexico (PROFECO) Ricardo Sheffield recently revealed that there have been around 1,600 requests for refunds.

He also confirmed that the ticket cancellations were not a result of “counterfeit,” but an “oversell” of tickets by Ticketmaster.

Sheffield reportedly suggested that the company issue fans a 100% refund with an added “20% compensation.” On the fine that Ticketmaster could soon face, he revealed that it could total a maximum of 10% of their 2021 earnings.

Stating that the fine is “to be determined [in] the following week,” he emphasized, “It is a very serious situation, quite delicate.”

Bad Bunny ended his global World’s Hottest Tour in Mexico City last Friday night (Dec. 9) with fewer concertgoers than expected.

Releasing a statement shortly after, Ticketmaster stated that “the issues with access were the result of an unprecedented number of fake tickets, which led to a not normal agglomeration of people and an intermittent operation of our system.”

“The above generated confusion and complicated the entrance to the stadium,” the statement continued, “with the unfortunate consequence that people with legitimate tickets were denied access.”

Ticketmaster similarly faced backlash last month after Taylor Swift announced her highly-anticipated Eras Tour. The company issued an apology after their website crashed amid the concert’s pre-sale.

Ticketmaster then canceled their general admission ticket sales, admitting in a statement that they experienced “extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand.”

The U.S. Department of Justice recently announced an investigation into Live Nation, Ticketmaster’s parent company, with plans to discover if it “has abused its power over the multibillion-dollar live music industry.”
