Playboi Carti Unveils New Music At Rolling Loud

Playboi Carti just gifted fans with a performance of new and unreleased music during his Rolling Loud LA set. Moreover, the teased track sounds quite similar to the undeniably influential sound of Whole Lotta Red. For example, his screams are still ear-piercing, the instrumental sounds distorted and heavy, and the additional guitars gave it that rockstar feel. As he played the song and screamed along, his stage goons ran across the stage to hype the audience up. For those of you waiting patiently for new music from the Atlanta rapper, maybe this performance hints at an upcoming drop.

However, it’s not a good time to be a fan of Playboi Carti. Recently, a lot of conversation around the 26-year-old surrounded his December arrest for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend over a pregnancy test. While he hasn’t addressed these accusations, his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child Iggy Azalea spoke out against his behavior. With that in mind, Carti’s history of legal troubles and violence is coming to light in a damning way, especially considering that he’s not really online all that much to update fans himself or talk about these situations.

Meanwhile, other members of his Opium label camp faced accusations of wrongdoing recently as well. One example is the duo Homixide Gang, who faced accusations of grooming on social media. Still, these rumors did not manifest into a police report, arrest, or other official confirmation like Carti did. Those rumors remained online, but many passionate fans put the pieces together from various testimonies and concurrencies. Such revelations are unfortunate considering their musical impact, and how their aggressive sound could implicitly provoke or hint at these actions. However, that’s a wide brush to paint artists with, and a cult fanbase as vocal as Opium’s shouldn’t jump to conclusions with no concrete basis.

Also, rumors spread on social media that a potentially fatal incident occurred during Carti’s Rolling Loud LA show. After the show stopped, many pointed to leaked audio and on-the-ground testimonies that someone was potentially killed as a result of an insanely dangerous crowd environment. However, these reports are still hearsay as of writing this article, with some sources saying that a victim received medical treatment and recovered. Regardless, check out the new song above if you’re interested and, if you’re going to a Carti show, please be careful and mindful of others, as his shows and mosh pits can get notoriously scary quickly. Also, as always, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Playboi Carti.

Soulja Boy Performs At Rolling Loud To Seemingly Low Energy Crowd, Twitter Reacts

Soulja Boy recently performed at Rolling Loud Los Angeles, and people say the crowd was pretty dead. Moreover, a particular clip went around social media of Soulja performing his track “Rick & Morty,” a viral offering. However, in the recording, you can’t really hear the crowd screaming lyrics back at him or engaging with the performance. As one Twitter user posted, “there is not a single phone in sight for [Soulja Boy].” Still, some people pointed out in comments and reply sections that, in some recordings for concerts, they mute the crowd mics while the artist is performing.

Furthermore, that’s exactly what’s heard in the clip at the very end, where the rap pioneer instructs the crowd to “make some motherf***in’ noise, man.” Regardless of whether people actually got hyped up to the performance, it’s fair to say that he’s more known for his influence than his present contributions these days. In fact, saying the Atlanta-bred artist was the first to do “x” rap achievement is basically a meme at this point. As such, people seemed much more excited during renditions of classics like “All The Way Turnt Up” by Roscoe Dash featuring Soulja.

Meanwhile, the “Crank Dat” artist recently made headlines for things curiously outside his wheelhouse or own career. For example, he expressed support for Megan Thee Stallion following her victorious case against Tory Lanez, who shot Meg back in 2020. Moreover, he called out Lanez in the process. “You want to shoot b***hes in the feet n***a?” he said on IG Live. “Yous a p***y n***a. And when you get from jail n***a you know where I’m at. You got a problem n***a I’ll beat your b***h a** n***a. Don’t never rap over none of my beats, don’t never freestyle over none of my beats. You trash n***a. Your music trash.”

Certainly some strong words from Soulja. Sure, some people clowned it for not really being his business, but it seemed like everyone was giving their opinion anyway. Elsewhere, he recently got involved in a spat with Boosie Badazz as well over comments about straight rappers. Regardless of the oddity of that exchange, check out reactions to the Rolling Loud LA performance down below. Also, as always, log back into HNHH for the latest updates and news on Soulja Boy and more notable performance moments.

Ariana DeBose Reflects On Viral BAFTAs Performance

Ariana DeBose spoke about her viral performance at the British Academy Film Awards during a new interview with Zoe Ball on her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show. When Ball admitted that she liked the performance, DeBose joked, “You know what, you might be one of the few.” For her time on stage, DeBose rapped praises for the female acting nominees. “Angela Bassett did the thing, Viola Davis my ‘Woman King,’ Blanchett Cate you’re a genius, Jamie Lee you are all of us,” she sang at one point.

Ball explained that she liked the performance because it was “woman singing and dancing, being magnificent celebrating women.” DeBose responded by adding that’s what she “wanted to do.” “Honestly, it’s not like I’m like, ‘Hey BAFTA, let me in!’ They actually called me, believe it or not,” DeBose said. “But that was the assignment. Like, ‘Come celebrate women,’ and I was like, ‘Absolutely!’ We did that and it was fun. Not gonna lie, I had a blast.”

“[It was] so awesome, and then I spent the rest of the night, you know, cutting a rug. Which, is that something you say here? Cutting a rug with Emma Thompson,” she continued, referring to dancing with the actress. “It was fabulous. I had a great time.” While the response to DeBose’s performance was negative online, she claimed that people in attendance were fans. In particular, she recalled Elvis director Baz Luhrmann enjoying it. “He was like, ‘No, I think you’re great, that was fun. I had fun.’ And I was like, ‘work,’ ” she said. “That’s a win, you guys. And apparently, gay Twitter seemed to like it? So that’s good, I’ll take it. I told you, my people.”

After the initial criticism on Twitter, DeBose deleted her account on the platform. While she has yet to return to the site, she shared an optimistic message on Instagram, earlier this week. She posted the quote, “Babygirl [sic], in a world full of choices, choose yourself.” Prior to the BBC Radio 2 interview, it was the only public statement DeBose had made since the awards ceremony.

Cardi B Gives Surprise Performance At GloRilla Tour Stop In New York

Cardi B just gave a surprise performance at GloRilla’s tour stop in the former’s home city of New York. Even though the “WAP” MC has no shortage of public occurrences and McDonald’s meals, she’s been a bit away from the spotlight. Moreover, she’s hard at work on her second album, spending family time, and fulfilling community service hours. However, she made an exception for the Memphis rising star’s Anyways, Life’s Great tour. Furthermore, Cardi surprised a venue full of fans at her home city in Irving Plaza.

While Glo performed alongside “ratchet ass friends” like Aleza, Gloss Up, K Carbon, and Slimeroni, there’s always room for one more. Of course, Cardi and GloRilla performed their Billboard hit, “Tomorrow 2,” and people were going crazy in the venue. Also, Offset’s boo cheekily preempted her appearance by proclaiming to “always get [her] lick, boo” as she emerged from backstage. However, that’s not the only surprise the “F.N.F.” hitmaker had in store for fans in the Big Apple. She also brought out rising star Lola Brooke, who might be the next breakout sensation this year following Glo’s footsteps. Moreover, Brooke performed her viral hit “Don’t Play With It,” building off of a lot of excitement surrounding her career.

Cardi B Performs With GloRilla On Her Tour

Meanwhile, Glo’s tour only has three stops left on her list before it wraps up. Tonight (February 23), Boston fans will witness her live spectacle. She’ll hit Philly and Washington, D.C. on Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th, respectively. However, it hasn’t all been peaches and cream for Glo when it comes to live appearances. Recently, she faced backlash for showing up to a club for a hosting gig, while promoters wanted a performance. The Oakland crowd threw water at her as she went through the venue, and she addressed the situation shortly after.

“Ain’t no h* spit on s**t!!!!!!” she tweeted after her reception went viral. “Ask dat h* how ha face feel doe. No way you think I’m performing when you paid for a hosting, crazy tail self.” Also, Yo Gotti said that the promoters didn’t pay them enough for a proper performance, so something fishy might’ve gone down. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Cardi B and GloRilla.

Post Malone Brings Out 21 Savage At 2023 NBA All-Star Game

Post Malone brought out 21 Savage during his performance of “Rockstar” at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night. Malone also performed his Hollywood’s Bleeding song, “Wow.” Later in the night, Burna Boy, Rema, and Tems all set to perform at the All-Star Game as well during halftime.

The performance comes just weeks after fans expressed concern about Malone’s health on social media. He was seen looking noticeably thinner at a recent concert, causing worry. He later confirmed that there was no cause for concern. His father, Rich, wrote on social media that Malone is the “healthiest he’s been in years! Mentally and physically.” Sources also told TMZ that he gained the weight for a movie role and that he’s been on a strict diet and working out.

It wouldn’t have been the first health scare for Malone. Back in 2022, Malone was hospitalized with difficulty breathing ahead of a concert at the TD Garden in Boston. He later apologized for missing the show in a statement explaining his problems: “On tour, I usually wake up around 4 o’clock PM, and today I woke up to a cracking sounds on the right side of my body. I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before. I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move. We’re in the hospital now, but with this pain, I can’t do the show tonight. I’m so fucking sorry. Everyone’s tickets for tonight’s show will be valid for the reschedule that we’re planning right now. Once again, I’m so fucking sorry, I love y’all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’m going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, I’ll see you soon.”
