Remy Ma Shouts Out Eazy The Block Captain At Show Amid Papoose Cheating Drama

Remy Ma and Papoose haven’t said much about the actual cheating allegations against each other, but they are surely taking sides in not so subtle ways. For example, the former recenetly seemed to shout out her alleged lover, battle rapper Eazy The Block Captain, during a recent performance for “LOX & Friends” in New York City. Maybe the East Coast femcee did not mean this in this context at all, but try as she might, fans will still run with this narrative. As for Pap, Remy accused him of cheating on her with boxer Claressa Shields, who now wants to fight Remy for reasons that don’t have much to do with the rapper himself.

“At this point the girl leaked my number,” Claressa Shields said of Remy Ma, Eazy The Block Captain, and the Papoose drama. “So at this point, you can give me a dollar and I’ll put my hand over her. It don’t have nothing to do with whatever else. It’s just that part alone. That part there is where it’s like, I’m a businesswoman. Don’t leak my number. Why would you do that? I mean, drama sells. I’m not in that beef. My smoke with her is posting my number. So people like, ‘Oh, she wants to fight her over a dude, whatever,’ stop it. Stop it. That is so beneath me.”

Remy Ma Seemingly Salutes Eazy The Block Captain Amid Papoose Scandal

We’ll see how the hip-hop world reacts to this presumed Eazy The Block Captain shoutout. We know that some corners are taking this more seriously than others, as Fat Joe recently lamented his inability to solve the issues between his two good friends Remy Ma and Papoose. We can’t imagine what other individuals now find themselves stuck in the middle of this debacle.

Meanwhile, Papoose himself slightly pushed back against Joey Crack’s remarks, even if it was more of a fact-check than a direct opposition. As for Remy Ma, she remains relatively quiet about it all, but we’re sure that the near future’s developments will eventually result in a stronger statement. For now, some fans will take this perceived shoutout as gospel even if nothing really indicates a confession.

Nelly & Ashanti Turn Her Hit Song “Baby” Into A Couples Anthem During Adorable Performance

If there was a power ranking of Internet fans’ favorite celebrity couples in the music world, we’d bet on Ashanti and Nelly being a top-tier contender. Moreover, they seem happier than ever these days after welcoming a child together – and it didn’t take long for rumors of a second baby to kick off. But before all that, what better way to celebrate their first than by incorporating their bundle of joy into one of their hits? At the rapper’s annual Black and White Ball, they couldn’t stop laughing as they performed together, remixing the singer’s hit “Baby” with the lyrics: “We made a baby, baby, baby, baby, baby!

Actually, this isn’t even the first time that they performed this together, as Nelly and Ashanti also hit this duet at his 50th birthday bash back in November. We’re sure that many more joint performances will follow, and we can already imagine what they’ll come up with once their son Kareem Kenkaide Haynes is old enough to step onstage himself. “This is our baby, baby, baby, baby, baby…” Or is that too corny?

Ashanti & Nelly Celebrate Their “Baby”

Jokes aside, Ashanti and Nelly seem absolutely obsessed with each other and with their little one. “We are both very strong-headed, strong-willed. When two leaders come together… I don’t tell him all the time, but I’ve learned a lot,” she said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “About just being grateful and graceful, and giving people grace. Being open-minded and level-headed and not too emotional. I’m a little bit dramatic, as he says. To have my soulmate, like, my person, my best friend, my protector, you know, it’s an amazing feeling. I think, just, the universe just doesn’t make mistakes.”

“Oh, man, that was a good one!” Nelly responded to Ashanti’s praise for him during this interview. “She’s a great person, she’s a great mother,” he replied. “Even when it comes to like, doing this, having birthday parties, and things like that. So to have that person with me is, like, yeah, that’s it, you know what I’m saying? Plus, you seen her in Resident Evil? She shoot that thing, too.”

Doechii Thanks MF DOOM & Solange For Inspiring Her Stephen Colbert Performance

Doechii performed her two hit songs, “Boiled Peanuts” and “Denial is a River,” during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night. The tracks stem from her acclaimed 2024 mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal. Doechii discussed how she choreographed the performance in a post on X (formerly Twitter) afterward.

“I felt heavily inspired by the lineage of Hip Hop and how it contributes to who I am today,” she wrote. “This is my first self choreographed performance and one of the most important things I wanted to highlight was my connection to black women through Hip Hop. With the help of hair artist Malcom Marquez, we were able to make this symbolic art performance come to life in just a short week.”

Thank you to the @colbertlateshow team for having us on your show! And thank you to my true fans for always showing up to every performance and sharing my music. SWAMP4L,” she further wrote. Fans have been showing plenty of love for the performance in her replies on social media.

Ab-Soul Delivers Hard-Hitting “Soul Burger” Bars On “A COLORS SHOW”

It’s been a big year for Ab-Soul. Earlier this year, the Top Dawg Entertainment rapper unleashed his sixth studio album, Soul Burger. It’s since received a great deal of praise from fans and peers, and now, he’s delivered a passionate performance of one of its tracks on A COLORS SHOW. He performed “Squeeze 1st 2,” which boasts hard-hitting and introspective bars. Unsurprisingly, YouTube viewers are impressed, and giving the hitmaker his flowers in the comments section.

“Maaan I’m so happy to see this man Ab-Soul getting his flowers. Truly one of the best to ever touch a mic!” one fan writes. “Soul Burger really a masterpiece. This man’s discography is INCREDIBLE,” another says. The album is dedicated to his late friend and collaborator Armon “Doe Burger” Stringer, who passed away in 2021. Ab-Soul opened up about his vision for the project during an interview with Billboard earlier this month, revealing that he had a different goal this time around.

Ab-Soul Performs “Squeeze 1st 2”

“This is to get the crowd jumping and focus more on the feeling versus being so cerebral,” he told the outlet at the time. “I think Quincy Jones said, ‘You gotta leave a little space for God to step in.’ I been going in beating my head against the wall coming up with the dopest metaphor versus expressing myself.” His lyricism remains unmatched, earning him kudos from some of the best. Kendrick Lamar, for example, gave him a shoutout on his new album GNX.

He recognizes his former Black Hippy groupmate’s creative process on “the heart pt 6,” calling him one of his own inspirations. “Ab-Soul in the corner mumblin’ raps, fumblin’ packs of Blacks / Crumblin kush ’til he cracked a smile / His words legendary, wishin’ I could rhyme like him / Studied his style to define my pen,” he raps. Shortly after Soul Burger was released, Kendrick also broke his usual social media silence to praise the project on his burner Instagram account.

Keyshia Cole Gets Choked Up During Performance Amid Hunxho Breakup Rumors

As of late, rumors that Keyshia Cole and Hunxho have gone their separate ways have been flying. Earlier this month, fans of the songstress grew only more suspicious when she declared herself “single asf” in a since-deleted post. Days later, she shared a mysterious message about heartbreak, which was accompanied by Trina’s 2007 track, “Single Again.”

Now, a clip of Cole performing her song “I Remember” is making its rounds online. In it, she’s seen getting choked up and appears to nearly burst into tears. Social media users are speculating that this could be due to the alleged fresh breakup, and are leaving their mixed reactions to the viral moment in The Shade Room‘s comments section. While most are leaving supportive messages for Cole, others argue that it’s possible her emotions during the performance weren’t related to Hunxho.

Keyshia Cole’s Emotional Performance Sparks Speculation

“When you a singer – it don’t have to be one person… it really be everybody u love that hurt you! It could be anything. Let her feel.. it’s good to still have artists around that feel their music! It’s genuine,” one Instagram user writes. “She’s human and love can hurt sometimes,” another says. This is far from the first time fans speculated about Keyshia Cole and Hunxho’s love life, however. In May of this year, Gloss Up shared some flirty photos with the Atlanta rapper to promote their collab. This earned a response from Cole, who made it clear she had no hard feelings.

“Him being Yo ‘sneaky link’ When U have a ‘Man you bout to marry’ is nasty work,” she responded. “But I wish u all the best on your project Love I was actually rooting for the video to come out.” Gloss Up later accused Hunxho of being manipulative, and encouraged Cole to leave him before she got hurt.

Nelly Performs With St. Lunatics Despite Their Ongoing Legal Dispute

Nelly, J-Kwon, and Chingy of St. Lunatics put their differences aside to reunite for a performance at the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special on Sunday. On stage, they performed several hit songs including “Air Force Ones,” “Ride Wit Me,” “Tipsy,” “Hot In Herre,” and more. Despite the reunion, St. Lunatics member Ali Jones was not present, making good on a promise he made in 2023 to never perform with Nelly again.

St. Lunatics’ lawsuit against Nelly is in relation to the making of his iconic 2000 album, Country Grammar. The group filed a filed their copyright infringement case against him, last month, alleging that he never credited them for their work on the effort. Nelly had joked about the lawsuit while promoting the AMAs show. “STL INVADES @amas …!!! An anyone who has a problem with that ‘Sue’ me…!!!” he wrote on Instagram.

As for Ali Jones’ refusal to perform with Nelly, he explained his reasoning during an interview with VladTV. “I watched it for 20 years and I’m the butt of the joke because it took me 20 years to realize it. I could put a never, ever behind it will I ever hit the stage or do anything with him. He has no real raw good intentions for others,” he said in 2023. “Not for us and we’ve all sat together and searched hard to try to find a time that didn’t benefit him. He got $50 million, I’m happy for him. That’s what he wants. He wants a billion.”

Kendrick Lamar’s Lollapalooza Day Two Set Had All The Hits & No Misses

Kendrick Lamar is a mainstay at huge festivals these days, performing at Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and now Lollapalooza. Moreover, he wrapped up Day Two (Friday August 4) of the Chicago festival at the T-Mobile stage in Grant Park. Of course, the Compton rap titan came through with a collection of some of his greatest and most successful hits. All the way from his breakout album Section.80 to the recent Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, everyone had something to latch onto during his set. What’s more is that this was his first time performing at Lollapalooza in ten years, making for a very special moment.

Furthermore, the pgLang MC recognized it as such during various points of the show. “Is anybody alive right now?” Kendrick Lamar asked the crowd after performing “The Heart Part 5,” “N95,” and “ELEMENT.” “Chitown, how are you feeling tonight? Make some noise. It’s a special night in a special city. It’s always special when we come out here, it’s always love. I want to make sure you have a good time from start to finish.” “Until next time Chicago, I will be back,” he expressed as he closed the night out with the incomparable “Alright” after going ten minutes over his set time.

Kendrick Lamar Performing At Lollapalooza 2023

Since he started about 15 minutes late, there was not a soul who complained about his extended stay. With such a high-quality and versatile slew of excellent songs, who in their right mind would? Kendrick Lamar brought the wooziness of “A.D.H.D.,” the boasting on “Backseat Freestyle,” the funk of “King Kunta,” the smoothness of “LOYALTY.,” and the tension on “Count Me Out,” among many others. In addition, his live band and dancers elevated the show and made the experience much more unique than your typical festival headliner.

Meanwhile, amid teases of new music, these performances add to the 36-year-old’s mystique. We saw him a lot on the festival circuit, but it begs some curiosity as to whether there’s a deeper reason to do so. Maybe he’s gearing up for something big, or is just enjoying his time on the road with fans. Either way, fans are always very excited for more from one of the best to ever do it, whether on wax or on stage. On that note, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kendrick Lamar.

Lil Uzi Vert Could Be Retiring

During a recent performance, Lil Uzi Vert revealed that they may not be putting out music for much longer. “I might retire this year,” they told the crowd. Though fans would certainly disappointed not to hear more from the hitmaker, this isn’t the first time they’ve hinted at retirement. They “retired” in 2019, before making a return in 2020 with Eternal Atake. Later that year, they took to Twitter to tell followers they’re releasing two more albums before they’re “out.” Uzi made that claim the same day they released Pluto × Baby Pluto alongside Future. Since then, Uzi dropped their Red & White EP in 2022 as well as their new album, Pink Tape.

Following months of teasing, Uzi finally released Pink Tape at the end of last month. The LP includes various high-profile features from Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Don Toliver, and more. The album’s been quite the success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and quickly becoming the first rap album of the year to reach the top of the charts.

Lil Uzi Vert Might Be “Out” Soon

Since debuting Pink Tape, Uzi’s already teased some new music. Earlier this month, they claimed they’ve got a new mixtape coming soon. “Sitting here thinking bout how I went #1 on an experimental tape,” they wrote on their Instagram Story. “My apologies, Barter 16 mixtape on the way.” Shortly after the LP’s release, Uzi also said during a livestream that their next offering wouldn’t be a deluxe edition of Pink Tape. They instead claimed they’d be releasing a “whole other album,” getting fans excited for what the artist could have in the works.

Though it’s unclear whether or not Uzi was serious about retiring, their 2020 Tweet suggests that they could be making their exit from the industry in the near future. Luckily, they’ve hinted at new music recently, so fans will likely get at least one new project from them before they retire for good.

Cardi B Joins Offset During Rolling Loud Miami Performance

Offset brought out Cardi B during his Rolling Loud performance in Miami on Sunday night. The Migos rapper welcomed his wife to the stage to perform their collaborative hit, “Motorsport,” among other songs.

Fans on social media were stoked to see the appearance. When Rolling Loud posted the clip on Twitter, plenty of users shared fire emojis and other praise for the rapper. Some, on the other hand, trolled her by bringing up Nicki Minaj.

The Rolling Loud performance comes after a recent rift in Cardi B and Offset’s relationship. Offset accused Cardi of cheating on social media, last month, which she vehemently denied. Responding to the accusation, she shared a video of herself listening to Keyshia Cole’s “I Should Have Cheated.”

“First of all, let me say, you can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of,” she began. “Sing it with me, y’all! And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!” She added: “Come on, now. I’m Cardi B, n***a. I think sometimes motherfuckers forget I’m Cardi B,” she said. “If I was giving this pussy to anybody, it would be out. I’m not just anybody. Can’t fuck no regular degular shmegular ’cause they gonna tell the world. And I can’t fuck nobody in the industry ’cause they gonna tell too.”

Cardi B Joins Offset On Stage

It’s not the first time either of the two have joined each other on stage. During Cardi’s performance at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia in 2017, Offset surprised her with a proposal on stage. He also later surprised her during a Rolling Loud set in 2018 to make amends during a rift in their relationship. Check out Cardi’s latest Rolling Loud appearance above.

Latto Warns Fans Not To Throw Objects On Stage

Fans throwing objects on stage during concerts has become a weirdly common issue in recent months. Sexyy Redd walked out of her Summer Smash show when fans wouldn’t stop throwing various things at her. Drake was hit in the arm with a phone during the opening night of his “It’s All A Blur” tour. At a later stop, a bra was thrown on stage, which he seemed to find preferable. The first major incident came a few months ago when pop singer Bebe Rexha was hit in the face by a phone on stage. She ended up needing stitches and the images of her injury later went viral. Now in a new video, Latto warned fans to not make her the next artist hit by something on stage.

In the middle of a show Latto stop to address a fan directly about throwing stuff on stage. “Throw it again, imma beat yo a*s,” she ways without mincing words. Fans in the comment section of the post came to her defense. “I don’t even blame her cause why tf y’all be throwing stuff at people ? That’s disrespectful,” one of the top comments reads. “How did throwing sh*t at performers become a thing?! Y’all just be doing stup!d sh*t,” another reads. Clearly many artists and fans aren’t happy with the new trend of throwing things on stage.

Latto Tells Fan Not To Throw Things On Stage

Latto already has one hit song under her belt in 2023. While her song “Put It On Da Floor” didn’t initially take off, it’s found a route to success. That was mainly done through a remix with Cardi B called “Put It On Da Floor Again.” That remix propelled the song to its peak spot at number 13 on the Hot 100.

Latto could have another hit collaboration in her future. Just yesterday BTS member Jungkook announced that she features on his upcoming new single “Seven.” What do you think of Latto threatening a fan over throwing objects on stage? Let us know in the comment section below.
